"Recent Upgrade Destroyed Some Reports"

What do you like best about Journyx?

The recent upgrade did not make this program better, in my opinion. I had some reports that no longer work, and I was very upset about that. It's hard to find time to REDO reports that once worked great. Even the new appearance is not as usual friendly and created a situation where people had to be trained again. I've never understood why updates/upgrades force the user to learn the system anew and why we're forced to do this. No one asked me if the program's updates were necessary and why the view of the system had to change. Very, very frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Journyx?

Some of my reports don't work now. Don't like the new view either. Why must you make it hard on users???

Also, we still have errors when we run Accountlink. Negatives don't work well. Frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Journyx has transformed our Payroll and Job Costing"

What do you like best about Journyx?

What do you like best about Journyx?

I like this tool because it has allowed us to better manage the data of entry, exit, number of normal hours and overtime worked by each employee in a staff that grows and decreases according to the development of new projects focused regionally, the system of contracting services and labor relations is somewhat complex and this tool facilitates us to make estimates without errors. This tool greatly improves the administration of human resources in all branches of the company, allows us to better manage the working hours that our regular employees, freelancers and remote workers contribute to the projects, accelerates the calculation of payroll, taxes and benefits but also helps us to carry estimates that allow us to know how or where to use the budget. Produce a plan of all the areas where time recording information will be valuable. Be mindful of the balance between the granularity needed by the business versus the effort to complete the timesheet by staff. What problems is Journyx solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use JX to manage weekly hours, overtime, holidays and sickness and to calculate the percentage of time spent on 6 key functional categories.

"JournyX Thoughts"

What do you like best about Journyx?

It is easy for the office to submit time off request and track what has been used. Our office tracks many of our projects and task based on hourly allocation. To know the true cost, we have to know the amount of effort put into that task. JournyX makes it very easy to run reports based on different components. I can run it globally throughout the office, narrow it down to one employee, run it based on one specified project, or even use keywords that we have set up through our office system. Many other software's that we reviewed did not allow true customization that was advertised. We have had major success running reports on various different components. What do you dislike about Journyx?

When submitting expenses for mileage, it would be helpful if we could plug the going rate for mileage and them not have to do the math. That way it would reduce errors in calculations. We have employees that are often in the field and on-site. It would be helpful if the mobile software and the online software were a little more fluid in connecting. We have had instances that people clock in-out on site and then get into the office next day and shows they never actually punched in for the day. if this could be improved it would greatly improve our functionality and not having to edit timesheets. Recommendations to others considering Journyx:

Consider what your team really needs. If you are wanting something that is pretty, shows tons of graphs, and is versatile for other users consider looking at other things. While this software goes, in my opinion, above what most software's do; it does not provide the pretty graphs and user dashboard that is important to most people when considering a new system. What do you like best about Journyx?

Journyx implemented our complex time tracking requirements in short time frame. This is because Journyx can be easily customized to track and report time at multiple levels. Time entry for staff was simplified with the use of specific dependencies between various categories. Reports and reporting dashboards are flexible and easily customized. Journyx allows us to set up Jobs in Dynamics Business Central, assign resources (which are mostly external) and have that flow automatically to Journyx. Time is then entered, approved and flows back into Dynamics Business Central for invoicing and revenue recognition. Its pretty seamless! Jourynx is a powerful tool, which means it can also be a little complex to use sometimes. They have good documentation, so it's usually straightforward to find answers. What I'd love to have is more documentation showing use case scenarios for how our company could get more out of the product, because we're only using a small part of the capabilities it could provide for us.
