I had some reports that no longer work, and I was very upset about that. It's hard to find time to REDO reports that once worked great. Even the new appearance is not as usual friendly and created a situation where people had to be trained again. I've never understood why updates/upgrades force the user to learn the system anew and why we're forced to do this. No one asked me if the program's updates were necessary and why the view of the system had to change. Very, very frustrating. **What do you dislike about Journyx?** Some of my reports don't work now. Don't like the new view either. Why must you make it hard on users??? Also, we still have errors when we run Accountlink. Negatives don't work well. Be mindful of the balance between the granularity needed by the business versus the effort to complete the timesheet by staff. Think about whether email notifications should be enabled as administrators of large teams can receive many emails. **What problems is Journyx solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use JX to manage weekly hours, overtime, holidays and sickness and to calculate the percentage of time spent on 6 key functional categories. Our office tracks many of our projects and task based on hourly allocation. To know the true cost, we have to know the amount of effort put into that task. JournyX makes it very easy to run reports based on different components. I can run it globally throughout the office, narrow it down to one employee, run it based on one specified project, or even use keywords that we have set up through our office system. Many other software's that we reviewed did not allow true customization that was advertised. We have had major success running reports on various different components. **What do you dislike about Journyx?** When submitting expenses for mileage, it would be helpful if we could plug the going rate for mileage and them not have to do the math. That way it would reduce errors in calculations. We have employees that are often in the field and on-site. It would be helpful if the mobile software and the online software were a little more fluid in connecting. We have had instances that people clock in-out on site and then get into the office next day and shows they never actually punched in for the day. if this could be improved it would greatly improve our functionality and not having to edit timesheets. **Recommendations to others considering Journyx:** Consider what your team really needs. If you are wanting something that is pretty, shows tons of graphs, and is versatile for other users consider looking at other things. While this software goes, in my opinion, above what most software's do; it does not provide the pretty graphs and user dashboard that is important to most people when considering a new system. **What problems is Journyx solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have been able to run reports much more regularly and keep up with projects. We have realized the real time benefit of using this software by being able to run reports on a regular basis. ### 7. Time is then entered, approved and flows back into Dynamics Business Central for invoicing and revenue recognition. Its pretty seamless! It also has Reportlink which allows you to pull time directly into Excel via data or pivot table, which is extremely nice. **What problems is Journyx solving and how is that benefiting you?** PTO approval for resource planning. I want to pin point that the service is excellent when you have issues. Their technical assistance service was always able to help during critical time and help us to solve the issues. **What do you dislike about Journyx?** The reports. Not easy to work with and does not meet our needs some time. It will be really interesting to be be able to create your own report templates. Using the existing template make our reports difficult to manage. I am sure that the new version 12 is better regarding report. Unfortunately we do not have the budget this year to look at upgrading our Journyx software. We might look at it in the 2020 session. Since we specialize in the placement of contract CRAs, our clients need our contractors to split out their time to show whether they are billing time for site management, travel, onsite, etc. and Journyx worked tirelessly to build and customize the tool to meet with our needs. They also provide reports that our client love and it has helped them with their study budgets. It keeps contractors "honest" about their time as well. Also, the Journyx support team is VERY responsive - I have answers within the hour which is unheard of in this day and age. **What do you dislike about Journyx?** For approvers and contractors, the following statement doesn't apply since their screen is much more simplistic than mine is.
