The realistic minimum is knowing exactly two things cold: which group or zone a message targets, and how to preview before sending, since those are the two mistakes that turn a fast alert tool into a slow, embarrassing one. I've noticed how much even "easy" platforms still ask of new users in reviews: one Navigate360 teacher's only real complaint was the amount of time required to complete the training, even on a platform generally described as straightforward. So "minimal training" is relative. The tool being easy to use isn't the same as the training around it being short, and it's worth asking a vendor for the actual time-to-competency number, not just a usability claim.
