Job Tread is designed for contractors who utilize cost plus or time and material contracts, not fixed price contracts. As a design-build contractor who works solely with fixed-price contracts, there are limitations to how we can receive approvals for selections from clients during our project development phase via the built-in workflow of the platform without using the customary forms of selections and allowances that most of the industry uses for cost-plus contracts.
