"Powerful Data Relationships and Budgeting Flexibility"
What do you like best about Jedox?

What I like most about Jedox is that you can create relationships between different data using formulas. Importantly, utility budgets can be entered as quantities and then multiplied by prices. I really liked that it was possible to add a rule to the budget lines for subsequent years that they will increase by the consumer price index. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jedox?

What bothers me about Jedox is that some of the forms created by the developers for our company take a long time to open and so far show the error message VALUE in all the cells. We also had a strange copying problem: if you wanted to copy 12 months of data, but only 9 months were visible on the screen, then only 9 months of data were copied to Jedox. "Set-up of jedox for HR Modeling"
What do you like best about Jedox?

jedox is a platform designed based on OLAP (so called 'Cubes'), which is a common solution for such type of software. Such a common solution helps to understand the main principles of work and modelling relatively fast.

The best features I can state are the following:

0. Clear Structure - web-interface is divided into several sections, which logically distinguish from each other (Modeler, Designer, Integrator, Reports, etc.).

1. Integrator - powerful instrument to (1) set-up connections with other systems (including API) to import/export necessary information; (2) set-up automation to read/write/delete data from the Cubes/Dimensions inside jedox. Also includes a scheduler.

2. Rules - allows to design calculations of differences indices, KPIs in the way you want to see it.

3. Splashing - very useful feature, which allows to change data in the system by simply typing '+10%' and '-1000' to allowed cells. It helps to make high level changes in a seconds, build different scenarios.

4. Excel Ad-In - allows to read/create basic reports using commonly used software of every analytic - MS Excel. Easy to set-up and used, could be very helpful.

5. Marketplace - there are already designed models provided by external vendors and jedox itself, which could be added/purchased to every instance of jedox. Includes free of charge basic models, which could be useful on first steps into jedox. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jedox?

Common difficulties/cons you need to understand at the start of implementation:

1. Requires investing of time into trainings (for administrators, reporters) - such solutions probably could not be simply installed and used 'from the box'. It requires time to spend for trainings/certifications provided by jedox or other partners. The good thing is that jedox academy provides a lot of free of charge videos to make the very first steps into jedox and make offline trainings more effecient.

2. Some elements of interface could be more user-friendly - Rules editor is developing over time but still remains not 100% user friendly; Reports editors is really similar to Excel but functional is limited if compare 2 products. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Budgeting Tool with a Learning Curve"
What do you like best about Jedox?

I appreciate Jedox for its capability to effectively eliminate manual errors, which is crucial in maintaining accuracy in my budgeting tasks. I particularly like how the cubes in Jedox work together seamlessly; if linked correctly, changes made in one place are correctly reflected everywhere, ensuring consistency and reliability of data across various sections. Additionally, I find it beneficial that Jedox integrates well with our existing databases to automatically pick up data, which enhances the workflow and data accessibility. What do you dislike about Jedox?

I dislike that Jedox does not allow the use of repeated names across different countries. This limitation forces me to rename products differently even when they are the same, which complicates the organization process. Additionally, I found the initial setup of Jedox challenging because it required learning an entirely new system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Love Jedox"
What do you like best about Jedox?

Jedox makes financial planning and analysis feel seamless. I love how it connects data from multiple systems like Excel, ERP, and CRM into one unified model, which saves tons of manual work. The flexibility to create dynamic forecasts, what-if scenarios, and real-time dashboards is a huge advantage. It’s especially great for automating reporting and giving decision-makers instant visibility into key performance metrics. The Excel-like interface makes it easy to use but much more powerful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jedox?

The initial setup and modeling process can be a bit complex for beginners, especially if you don’t have prior OLAP or data integration experience. Some advanced configuration requires technical knowledge, and training new users takes time. Also, while the web dashboards are great, the interface could be slightly more modern and faster when handling very large datasets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Tool for Budgeting and Forecasting - Both setting up and reporting"
What do you like best about Jedox?

Enables us to use live accounting data to forecast and anticpate future requirements and forecast profitability. Enables us to see when we may need extra finance, How to time our forex hedging, reporting actuals against forecast. Enables us to report to and use excel. We have a great facilitator in Barry Gibbs who manages to get everything working in an easy and straightforward way. Very flexible and easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jedox?

The method of expanding from summary to detailed in the reports is clunky. Would be nice if I could select the option to show all detailed rather than having to select each heading. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
