"Powerful iWave/RFM Insights, but Profile Exports and Navigation Need Work"
3.5/5
What do you like best about iWave?

I like the integrational scoring (iWave and RFM) that accompanies profiles as well as the additional research sources readily available to contribute to the profile. I like having it as a database available to sit next to my CRM in a separate screen. The prices fit into my budget; it has assisted me with major gift portfolio reviews, and has also helped with gift strategy conversations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iWave?

The profile exports are horrible to look at. Also, I am still trying to figure out how I can navigate between the static profiles built from bulk screened batches and better source/segment/update them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Phenomenal Support and Time-Saving Profile Alerts"
5/5
What do you like best about iWave?

The customer support is phenomenal. Their response time from issue raised to their technical solution is extremely fast with period updates on the situation. Profile alerts save me from needing to review hundreds of records on a quarterly basis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iWave?

I wish I could group profiles by assigned Fundraiser in order to analyze have another way of analyzing our data within iWave. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Valuable Giving Records and Source Comparisons, but Name Filtering Needs Work"
3.5/5
What do you like best about iWave?

Viewing individual giving records is extremely valuable and I like having a variety of sources to compare. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iWave?

Common names are not always filtered well. For example, if I'm looking for a "Tom" I will need to search "Thomas" separately in 360search to paint a full picture. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"iWave Speeds Up Prospect Research with Powerful Wealth Screening"
5/5
What do you like best about iWave?

What I like best about iWave is its wealth screening capabilities and how much time they save during prospect research. Instead of spending hours gathering information from multiple sources, iWave brings together wealth indicators, giving history, and other relevant data in one place, making it much faster to identify and prioritize high-potential prospects. The interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, so it's simple to move between records and quickly find the information I need. Overall, iWave has made our prospect research process more efficient, allowing me to spend less time collecting data and more time acting on it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iWave?

One area where iWave could improve is the user interface. While it's functional and easy enough to navigate once you're familiar with it, some workflows require more clicks than necessary, and certain pages feel a bit dated. I'd also like to see more flexibility in customizing dashboards and reports so users can tailor the information they see most often. Expanding integrations with additional CRM platforms and continuing to improve the AI-generated insights would also make the platform even more valuable. Overall, these are relatively minor issues, but addressing them would create a smoother and more efficient user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Ongoing Support Keeps Us Up to Date on New Features and Integrations"
4/5
What do you like best about iWave?

I really like my ongoing support team, I find they do the best job of ensuring that I'm up to date with any new integrations or features in the application. This helps me make the most of the product for its price and ensure I can navigate any new UI with ease. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iWave?

As a Canadian user, I find that appends aren't helpful - it seems like a great performance filler but just doesn't hit the mark for our market. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"360 Search Makes Finding New Information Effortless"
4.5/5
What do you like best about iWave?

The ease of finding new information. The 360 search is an amazing feature to start your research! We use iWave alongside DonorPerfect but we chose not to integrate them for a variety of reasons. The screening can be set up in such a way that it works very well with DonorPerfect. The iWave team has been very helpful in getting us set up and ready to go. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iWave?

I guess that matching records could be a bit more accurate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Invaluable Tool for Prospect Research"
5/5
What do you like best about iWave?

iWave is the most valuable resource we have for prospect research. It's excellent for identifying new prospects and quickly assessing capacity, as well as finding new sources of wealth and philanthropic history. The philanthropy data is the best there is; having the sources PDFd for all the philanthropy is incredibly helpful. The real estate section stands out in particular. It's unlike any other tool we have or have had, as it is a real estate industry source. The interface is unlike anything else we have and saves an immeasurable amount of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iWave?

Honestly, there's very little I'd change. If I had to name one thing, it would be more contact information. There's some, but other sources would be incredible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Integrations That Save Research Time and Find Like-Minded Supporters"
4/5
What do you like best about iWave?

It is most useful for determining like minded folks and affinity for similar causes and for cutting down research time by a great margin with the built in integrations Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iWave?

Like most of these platforms their capacity ratings seem to not be something that is super useful. its good for an idea but basing someones giving capacity on their homes value is a bit difficult. Seems to be heavily based on real estate, which I get but not the most accurate representation of someones wealth for our purposes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Prospect Research with iWave"
5/5
What do you like best about iWave?

I find iWave very easy to use, more than any other tool I use, especially with its quick search feature. I just put in a name, country, and state, even if I don't know where they live, which is the best part of the tool. Also, being able to find foundations linked to an individual is huge, especially now with the philanthropy transitions from parents to children and foundations. The initial setup was super easy, and we got great support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iWave?

I would say probably the updating aspect could be improved. I wish it would send an email that I log in to, and then it would have a list of the changes before and after, so I could prioritize my time and decide which ones I should focus on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Top-Tier Prospect Research Tool"
5/5
What do you like best about iWave?

iWave is, in my opinion, the top of the line prospect research product. It provides the most information and most accurate information on individuals. There are so many ways to search - I love that I can reverse search and see what donors are giving to a certain nonprofit. Or I can search a specific person to drill down. The wealth screenings are of course an invaluable tool.

I can't remember a time that I've had glitches or performance issues - it is a reliable product that I used daily. The staff at iWave is super helpful as well. I haven't used any of the integrations - I'm not totally sure what would be available / helpful to me as a consultant. I think so! I run a lean operation - iWave is one of my only business expenses. I couldn't do my work without it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iWave?

The wealth screening outputs are thorough but a bit overwhelming. With 60+ columns of data to sort through, it takes some time to make the raw data digestible for a fundraiser to use. The summary document that accompanies the screen is good, but not great.

Of course there are the run of the mill prospect research issues - similar names throwing off the screen / smart search features, etc. -- these things, which are a natural part of human research, make me nervous to use an AI features. That said, for the most part I have very few qualms with iWave. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
