"Highly recommend iWavePro to Prospect Researchers"
5/5
What do you like best about iWave?

I can hardly remember life before iWave - I've watched it evolve since 2007.

This is the only product that lets us reliably find certain international information, especially for Canada (we’re near the Ottawa, Ontario border). The new ability to screen Canadian prospects by estimated median household income and real estate value is fantastic.

I've recently been able to wealth screen batches of foundations like I do indiviuals - it's a game changer for my work! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iWave?

We wish it returned more International data, but we know that is a work in progress. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"iWave is my current go to for Research and Wealth Screenings"
5/5
What do you like best about iWave?

I am the primary user and have been using iWave for over 10 years, both at my current position and my previous one. I use iWave almost daily. I believe that the information from iWave is more accurate than any other platform I have used. I have used 2 other platforms in my career.

Their screening services are very easy to use. The template allows for additions based on the information in our CRM.

Exporting the data is easy, and the information is simple to edit and the reports in PDF form allow me to work them into usable profiles, although I do wish there was more customization allowed. The giving history seems to be very inclusive of what I can find and more. Our current CRM (Netsuite) does not have any integrations with iWave so unfortunately I cannot speak to that.

Finding properties is always daunting, and iWave is able to connect the address to LLCs. Property values are within acceptable ranges as to what is found in other Sources.

I like that their smart alerts are ongoing, once you opt in. It allows me to see any new information on my donor/prospect as it comes up.

Customer support is top notch. I work with Jaxon to go over tools or areas that I may need clarification on. He was a great asset when I was first using the product. He showed me how easy batch screenings are to upload and review.

Overall iwave is easy to use, and I have found no issues with performance at all. Pricing is very fair and the company was very supportive in working with me as we were looking into changing CRM's. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iWave?

When using iWave, I would like the ability to add or remove from the Board Highlights section. That is the only section I have found where editing is not allowed.

I wish that there were more options for the profiles. Options that would allow me to customize so they are not so cumbersome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"iWave - An Essential Tool for Prospect Research"
5/5
What do you like best about iWave?

iWave's Smart Match feature is one of my favorite tools because it's a great way to quickly jumpstart wealth screening for an individual or couple. It helps identify the correct person and gives me a strong starting point for further research.

Another feature I use regularly is the reverse address lookup. Being able to enter a known address and uncover additional properties associated with that prospect has been incredibly helpful for building a more complete picture of their real estate holdings. I've found properties this way that I may not have discovered through a standard search.

The interface is also very intuitive and easy to navigate. I appreciate being able to display up to 25 search results at once, which lets me review multiple potential matches efficiently without constantly switching pages. Overall, iWave has become the prospect research tool I rely on most. It saves significant time, especially for a small development shop where efficiency is essential. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iWave?

Overall, I've had a great experience with iWave, but there are a few workflow improvements that would make it even more efficient.

One of my biggest pain points is that the profile search defaults to "Just My Profiles" every time. Since I almost always search "All Profiles," having the option to save that as the default or toggle it permanently would eliminate an extra step from nearly every search.

Another challenge is navigating between a prospect profile and other research tools within iWave. If I'm viewing a profile and then open 360 Search or another data source to gather additional information, I have to search for that prospect again to reopen the profile. Keeping the current profile open or allowing it to remain pinned while navigating between tools would make it much easier to refresh capacity scores and update profiles without interrupting my workflow.

Finally, I would love to see the mass wealth screening lists display the estimated giving capacity value, not just the capacity range. Currently, the estimated value is only available after exporting the results. Having that information visible directly within the screening list would make it much easier to prioritize prospects and analyze results without the extra export step. "360 Search and Screening Provide a Strong Research Baseline"
4.5/5
What do you like best about iWave?

The 360 search is what I use most because it gives me a good baseline to start from. The screening product works well for us and I like having access to the foundation research as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iWave?

I would like to be able to do an exact name search - it seems to search only on the first 2 letters of the first name so brings up many false hits.

I would love to be able to search by metropolitan area.

I'm not a fan of the alerts service - I haven't found it intuitive to use.

I'm also not a fan of the obituaries - it doesn't seem to find many. I would love a more robust search with more results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast, Easy Real Estate Lookups with Seamless “Add to Profile” in iWave"
5/5
What do you like best about iWave?

The feature I like best about iWave is the real estate look-ups. I like how easy it is to see the current owner, property details, and the transaction history. I've also noticed that iWave updates property ownership faster than some of the other resources (i.e., showing the current owner when a property was recently sold). I also really like how I can easily add real estate to a wealth profile using the "Add to Profile" feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iWave?

There are times when the real estate transaction history is incomplete or doesn't go back far enough. I've also noticed times when iWave doesn't have a comprehensive list of all donations to other organizations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive One-Stop Prospect Research with Time-Saving Salesforce Integration"
5/5
Describe the project or task iWave helped with:

The service task overview for iWave includes its ability to aggregate data from various sources, provide intuitive user interfaces, and integrate seamlessly with Salesforce. It is designed to assist prospect researchers in efficiently gathering and analyzing data, saving time and resources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about iWave?

The information available is easy to find, intuitive to use, and feels like my one-stop-shop when it comes to prospect research. It's my go-to tool and I use it as a starting place to find information ranging from real estate, career info, and philanthropic history. I specifically use the Data Sources tab since that's how I was trained and I appreciate that there have been minimal updates to the UX so I can whiz around the platform and get what I need. My current shop uses the Salesforce integration to help us narrow constituents based on capacity weighting, which saves us hours of data mining. Every meeting or training I have had with Kindsight staff has been excellent and informative, and I learn new things every time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive Features Enhance Team Performance"
4/5
What do you like best about iWave?

What I like best about iWave is that you are able to easily create a comprehensive view of a donor's capacity, but also their interests and relationships. This is very helpful for approaching prospects or donors and creating a giving strategy that is right for them. We integrate iWave with Salesforce and use the Giving Scores to more closely inform our outreach. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iWave?

I think the user experience for adding new records or updating a profile could be more clear or intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful iWave/RFM Insights, but Profile Exports and Navigation Need Work"
3.5/5
What do you like best about iWave?

I like the integrational scoring (iWave and RFM) that accompanies profiles as well as the additional research sources readily available to contribute to the profile. I like having it as a database available to sit next to my CRM in a separate screen. The prices fit into my budget; it has assisted me with major gift portfolio reviews, and has also helped with gift strategy conversations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iWave?

The profile exports are horrible to look at. Also, I am still trying to figure out how I can navigate between the static profiles built from bulk screened batches and better source/segment/update them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"iWave Speeds Up Prospect Research with Powerful Wealth Screening"
5/5
What do you like best about iWave?

What I like best about iWave is its wealth screening capabilities and how much time they save during prospect research. Instead of spending hours gathering information from multiple sources, iWave brings together wealth indicators, giving history, and other relevant data in one place, making it much faster to identify and prioritize high-potential prospects. The interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, so it's simple to move between records and quickly find the information I need. Overall, iWave has made our prospect research process more efficient, allowing me to spend less time collecting data and more time acting on it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iWave?

One area where iWave could improve is the user interface. While it's functional and easy enough to navigate once you're familiar with it, some workflows require more clicks than necessary, and certain pages feel a bit dated. I'd also like to see more flexibility in customizing dashboards and reports so users can tailor the information they see most often. Expanding integrations with additional CRM platforms and continuing to improve the AI-generated insights would also make the platform even more valuable. Overall, these are relatively minor issues, but addressing them would create a smoother and more efficient user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"360 Search Makes Finding New Information Effortless"
4.5/5
What do you like best about iWave?

The ease of finding new information. The 360 search is an amazing feature to start your research! We use iWave alongside DonorPerfect but we chose not to integrate them for a variety of reasons. The screening can be set up in such a way that it works very well with DonorPerfect. The iWave team has been very helpful in getting us set up and ready to go. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iWave?

I guess that matching records could be a bit more accurate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
