"A Valuable Research Platform for Donor Prospecting"
3.5/5
What do you like best about iWave?

iWave does an excellent job of scoring prospects based on the full picture of their giving potential. Unlike some tools which solely focus on a prospect's capacity to give, iWave combines that data with their inclination to donate as well as their affinity to your type of organization. Combining this information gives us a more accurate picture of who our best prospects are and who best to target for solicitation. iWave also provides additional scoring for other aspects of fundraising such as planned giving and all scores can be turned into profiles to provide for further detail. They continue to roll out consistent and valuable updates to their product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iWave?

iWave is less helpful for tracking and reviewing specific data records for a prospect over time. If a prospect is scored and a profile is created, iWave displays all the records used to determine the score. If in the future that prospect is scored again, the score information is updated but the records within the profile remain the same, so you cannot see anything new used to determine the new score unless you conduct a manual search. Additionally some records are not matched correctly with a prospect despite a high confidence of match and result in occasional incorrect scoring. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast, Easy Real Estate Lookups with Seamless “Add to Profile” in iWave"
5/5
What do you like best about iWave?

The feature I like best about iWave is the real estate look-ups. I like how easy it is to see the current owner, property details, and the transaction history. I've also noticed that iWave updates property ownership faster than some of the other resources (i.e., showing the current owner when a property was recently sold). I also really like how I can easily add real estate to a wealth profile using the "Add to Profile" feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iWave?

There are times when the real estate transaction history is incomplete or doesn't go back far enough. I've also noticed times when iWave doesn't have a comprehensive list of all donations to other organizations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Donor Insights, Needs Better Training"
4.5/5
What do you like best about iWave?

I like the easy-to-use search in iWave, along with the quick search results. I appreciate the interface and the profiles you can create, which give me accurate information about the donors I'm looking up. I find it valuable to confirm where they have given, how much they have given, and the type of gift. Another great feature I enjoy is the ability to look up real estate the donor owns, allowing me to see the transaction history of the real estate property and check if the donor owns multiple properties. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iWave?

I don't know all the features for iWave. I feel like there can be more training offered for this. Maybe having a recent search history feature so in case the search is lost, you can click back in rather than re-entering everything back in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Rich Screening Insights, Though Results Can Be Hit-or-Miss"
3.5/5
What do you like best about iWave?

Lots of information types screened - giving history, real estate, board service, political contributions, etc.; while the screens are never comprehensive, they often uncover information for me to use as a jumping off point in my prospect research. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iWave?

Screening can be hit or miss; missing real estate assets or large philanthropic gifts that are easily found with an online search may or may not be pulled into a screening report. Because of this, I never feel fully confident in using the tool as a "one-stop shop" but I think it's the tool out there that comes the closest. I would also love more record viewing and export functionality - for example, seeing and exporting more than 25 charitable donation records at a time, which is tedious. "Highly recommend iWavePro to Prospect Researchers"
5/5
What do you like best about iWave?

I can hardly remember life before iWave - I've watched it evolve since 2007.

This is the only product that lets us reliably find certain international information, especially for Canada (we’re near the Ottawa, Ontario border). The new ability to screen Canadian prospects by estimated median household income and real estate value is fantastic.

I've recently been able to wealth screen batches of foundations like I do indiviuals - it's a game changer for my work! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iWave?

We wish it returned more International data, but we know that is a work in progress. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy-to-Use Prospect Research with Valuable Real Estate Insights"
4.5/5
What do you like best about iWave?

I like how simple and user-friendly iwave is. I can enter minimal information and get results that are pretty close to a match, then add details like a spouse’s name, partial address, or email address to narrow the search. The real estate records are probably the most useful part for me, especially being able to search them all in one place and see property values. That information helps me identify and rank potential prospects and pass useful details along to our fundraising team. iwave has also filled in holes in our research with more in-depth information than we had from other campus resources. The setup was very easy, and the prompts and search processes are easy to understand; I think someone can learn the platform in just a few minutes. I’ve had a really good experience, and iwave has been everything we hoped for and more. I appreciate being able to see previews and pilots of upcoming features and having the iwave and Kindsight staff value my input. The new AI features seem like they could be a nice asset for identifying prospects and matching them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Critical Tool for Efficient Donor Management"
4.5/5
What do you like best about iWave?

I like how user-friendly iWave is because it required very little 'skilling up' before I could start using it effectively. The approachability and accessibility of our iWave rep, Jeremy, is something I appreciate as he's always willing to help us brainstorm ways to leverage iWave for our goals. I also find that iWave's insights are easy to present to a senior leader and are snappy, to the point, and easily digestible. The strategic advantage means I can focus on donors with potential to be major supporters quickly. Plus, the initial setup was very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iWave?

The only thing that comes to mind is the geographic barriers. Our organization is trying to diversify our fundraising revenue outside the US and Canada, so iWave's geographic limitations mean we can't leverage this platform for our new pivot into outside fundraising markets. "Solid and reliable platform for fundraising research professionals"
4.5/5
What do you like best about iWave?

The UI is good and intuitive to navigate, and I really appreciate the filtering functions and different sources that can be searched. It integrates with Salesforce, which is useful since we use it for our CRM, and it allows us to pull profiles as needed. Overall, it performs quickly and reliably in my experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iWave?

I wish there were a way to export the results into a spreadsheet. Creating and managing profiles can feel cumbersome, especially when you’re dealing with a large number of people. It disincentivizes me from using some of the integration features when I feel like I'm maintaining two separate records in both iWave and our CRM. I haven’t explored any AI features and wasn’t aware they existed. I think if there are AI features they should be more clearly marketed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Salesforce Integration, Great Support, and Affordable Pricing"
5/5
What do you like best about iWave?

iWave allows me to see and examine various sets of data and to delete what isn't correct and add in what is correct. It also works seamlessly with Salesforce and we've always received really great support whenever there has been an issue. The pricing is also affordable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iWave?

It would be great if they were able to include even more data sets and if they started to work on a way to evaluate philanthropy in a world when fewer nonprofits are listing their donors in annual reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"iWave is my current go to for Research and Wealth Screenings"
5/5
What do you like best about iWave?

I am the primary user and have been using iWave for over 10 years, both at my current position and my previous one. I use iWave almost daily. I believe that the information from iWave is more accurate than any other platform I have used. I have used 2 other platforms in my career.

Their screening services are very easy to use. The template allows for additions based on the information in our CRM.

Exporting the data is easy, and the information is simple to edit and the reports in PDF form allow me to work them into usable profiles, although I do wish there was more customization allowed. The giving history seems to be very inclusive of what I can find and more. Our current CRM (Netsuite) does not have any integrations with iWave so unfortunately I cannot speak to that.

Finding properties is always daunting, and iWave is able to connect the address to LLCs. Property values are within acceptable ranges as to what is found in other Sources.

I like that their smart alerts are ongoing, once you opt in. It allows me to see any new information on my donor/prospect as it comes up.

Customer support is top notch. I work with Jaxon to go over tools or areas that I may need clarification on. He was a great asset when I was first using the product. He showed me how easy batch screenings are to upload and review.

Overall iwave is easy to use, and I have found no issues with performance at all. Pricing is very fair and the company was very supportive in working with me as we were looking into changing CRM's. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iWave?

When using iWave, I would like the ability to add or remove from the Board Highlights section. That is the only section I have found where editing is not allowed.

I wish that there were more options for the profiles. Options that would allow me to customize so they are not so cumbersome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
