"Flexible, User-Friendly Payroll Solution with Exceptional Support"
5/5
What do you like best about iTrent?

I find iTrent incredibly user-friendly for managing our payroll system, especially for a large team like ours with over 5,000 employees. I really appreciate the flexibility it offers, allowing us to customize processes to suit our organization's specific needs. The data conversion function is particularly helpful for handling large volumes of data efficiently, which is crucial for our payroll operations. I also value the responsive support team, who are quick to assist us with any issues and help us use the system to its full potential. The various access levels for different teams and the employee self-service functions make iTrent adaptable and easy to navigate, which is a big plus for us. I also appreciate how we can move and customize the dashboard items for better usability. Overall, the system's adaptability and the support network are what make iTrent stand out for me. What do you dislike about iTrent?

I think there's a lot more potential to iTrent that we could be using, but because we only use the payroll function, it really limits sort of the ability the system has. We're holding it back because it's got much more abilities around absence schemes, statutory payments, reports, and journals for finance which we're not using. And even though iTrent interacts well with other systems and has interfaces between them, our problem is with the other HR system we use that doesn't integrate well, which makes data handling more manual and cumbersome. So, while iTrent itself is not the issue, it is being restricted by the lack of integration capabilities on the other end. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Robust, Flexible HR and Payroll for Complex Workforce and Pension Structures"
4/5
What do you like best about iTrent?

iTrent is a very capable and flexible HR and payroll system, particularly for organisations with a complex workforce structure. One of its key strengths is its ability to manage employees with multiple roles simultaneously while maintaining separate contractual and payroll arrangements where required.

The system also provides excellent support for administering different pension schemes, allowing employees in separate roles to be enrolled in the appropriate pension arrangements without the need for manual workarounds. This is especially beneficial for organisations operating multiple pension schemes such as LGPS, Teachers' Pension and alternative defined contribution schemes.

Overall, iTrent is a robust solution that supports complex employment structures, streamlines payroll and pension administration, and provides a strong platform for HR and payroll management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iTrent?

The built-in reporting functionality can be somewhat restrictive and lacks the flexibility needed for more complex reporting requirements. As a result, a good working knowledge of Business Objects is often essential to maximise reporting capabilities.

In addition, some areas of the system are considerably more complex than other HR and payroll systems I have used previously. While this flexibility is beneficial, it can create a reliance on consultant support for configuration changes, troubleshooting, and system development, which can become costly over time. "Customizable Yet Dated HR Solution"
3.5/5
What do you like best about iTrent?

I like the customizability of iTrent because it can be tailored specifically to meet the needs of the education sector. It’s built with an understanding of educational requirements, which is really beneficial for us. The fact that iTrent can be made bespoke to different roles and fields allows us to cater to various stakeholders effectively. I also think the API integration is really important as it aids seamless connectivity with other platforms and helps avoid duplicate data entry. Additionally, the capability to manage access and ensure that relevant stakeholders only see the information they need is quite useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iTrent?

I think the customer service from MHR could be improved. I don't think it's always as responsive or customer-centric as it could be. And then separately, the UX user experience for both managers and employees as well as the HR team it feels dated in its look and feel, which can be off-putting initially to new users. It gives the impression it's not going to do what they need it to because it looks old-fashioned, even if it actually can do what they need it to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"iTrent: Feature-Rich HR Solution with Setup Challenges"
2.5/5
What do you like best about iTrent?

I like that iTrent is easy to navigate and can hold a lot of information, which our previous system couldn't handle. The role function is particularly useful, allowing us to set up roles and assign them to our workers, who can have multiple roles, different hours, and contracts. This feature has made it easy to manage the data of employees doing different roles across the organization, and everything is readily available, especially when it comes to pay and time sheets. I also appreciate the outstanding support from developers at MHR, like John Green, who were instrumental during the setup process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iTrent?

We always knew iTrent wasn't designed for timesheets and accounting, so our accounting team struggled with that part. From an HR perspective, it works well for us, but if we need to change anything or rebuild features, like our maternity offering, it can be quite challenging. Adjustments involving salaried and hourly paid staff are difficult, though they don't happen too often. The initial setup of iTrent was really tough, and it would have been impossible without the exceptional support from developers like John Green at MHR. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralizes HR Tasks with Moderate Complexity"
3.5/5
What do you like best about iTrent?

I like iTrent because it combines HR management, payroll, and employee data in one system, making it easier to handle multiple HR tasks efficiently. It helps keep all employee-related information organized and accessible, which is useful for small business operations where managing HR tasks efficiently is important. I find it very useful for managing HR, payroll, and employee data all in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about iTrent?

One area that could be improved is the navigation. Sometimes it feels a bit complex, especially when trying to find specific features quickly. Sometimes the menu structure isn't very intuitive and it takes extra time to locate specific features or settings. For example, when managing payroll or updating employee details, I often have to go through multiple sections instead of accessing everything from a single clear dashboard. Also, some options are not clearly labeled, which can be confusing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
