Our products work at two different levels: We detect high-risk connections to your online services, in the form of an IP fraud score for each IP address, which you can check using our IP address lookup and API. We detect high-risk users, across many datapoints, based on shared blacklists and machine learning. This product is ideal for companies who have multiple datapoints on their users, such as dating services and social networks. You can see our IP quality product in action using our online IP checker. This will give you an IP score representing the fraud risk presented by that IP, along with additional information such as whether the IP is running a proxy server. ## IP Address Fraud Check Service Reviews ### 1. Accurate VPN & Suspicious IP Detection with a Simple API and Fraud Score **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2026 **What do you like best about IP Address Fraud Check Service?** Compared to other competitors, the main benefits I got from Scamalytics IP checking were its accuracy in identifying VPNs and suspicious IP addresses, the simplicity of the API response, and the fraud score. I'd used Scamalytics website for manual IP investigation for quite a while. As fraudulent activity ramped up more, I wanted to investigate the API. I also did a bakeoff against a number of other IP address reputation providers with both fraudulent and non-fraudulent users to check the precision. A very useful feature of Scamalytics IP Quality Score was their fraud score. This is helpful to distinguish between higher and lower risk IP addresses. In Scamalytics case, it was also useful to trust Enterprise Private Networks like https://www.zscaler.com and Consumer Privacy Network’s like Apple’s iCloud Private Relay which would otherwise be treated as datacenter server traffic. Scamalytics is a very straightforward service to use. They had the best performance, only missing out on two spammers using residential IP addresses, and perhaps one CC tester in Egypt. For the Egypt IP, Scamalytics gave it a fraud score of 5/100, which is fairly low, but perhaps we would lower our acceptable score for riskier countries. Some other competitors marked IP address from some large corporate networks of our customers as being likely fraudulent (they weren't), but Scamalytics made the correct determination for this. Ultimately, the best way to evaluate a tool like this is to take some existing fraud and non-fraud cases and run them through multiple tools and see how they perform. In our case, Scamalytics was by far the strongest performer. **What do you dislike about IP Address Fraud Check Service?** The management of API keys is a bit manual, you don't have an account to login to, they will send you an email with a temporary link to download your API keys. **What problems is IP Address Fraud Check Service solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use Scamalytics IP address checking to detect spammers and scammers using our SaaS tool. This lets us disable their account, or certain dangerous actions quickly and automatically.
