Our onboarding experience was terrific. Romina and Katherine both did an excellent job getting our team onboarded. I do think that our business case was very complex though, and it probably would have benefited from a team physically coming to our facility to sit down with our team for a few days and bang out the process instead of single meetings over a long period of time. The more data you put in, the more you get out of it. QA, tracability, organized customer data (what they ordered last and which SKUs they carry etc), shipping and receiving, easy recall procedure and more. Also, appreciate the support team. For a small startup with limited funding and team members, the amount of data to compile, as well as keep on top of it enourmous. Icicle provides us with one system that handles everything from HACCP procedures and processes, training, raw material tracking, production scheduling, warehousing, distribution and sales. I have never had this level of support with any other MRP implementation. During the implementation many nuances related to the company came up and Icicle created new processes to support them. This was unexpected but very much appreciated. The system loads quickly and is mostly intuitive, but you do have to work with it to truly understand its full capabilities. I would suggest spending about 1 - 2 months using the system before you will become quite proficient at it. The comprehensive nature of the Food Safety section is impressive and quite exhaustive. The only issue I have with it in a make to stock business is the ability to forecast production off a budget. This would really help with purchase and labour forecasting. Icicle is an easy-to-use ERP software that exists on the cloud. It is versatile and broad in its application. It has been essential for our business as we take the next steps toward traceability and food safety. What sets them apart is the Team more than their software. What do you dislike about Icicle ERP? The team is constantly working to improve Icicle. This means it is continually evolving and any user guide becomes out of date quickly. The team is always willing to train and troubleshoot over email or video chat, but it gives an incomplete picture of how Icicle could or should be used.
