**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

It is easy to use and it is not complicated to manage global but also local content. Customer support is quite nice and reachable. Agency can easily adapt the system to our needs.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Unfortunately, there is no AI feature yet. We use Hubspot and can integrate AI agents easily. However, Ibexa is not offering anything with AI options.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can easily manage global content and share with local offices. Also, we can easily manage translations and create nice landing pages by using the page builder.

- Headless integration
- Userfriendly Admin interface for editors
- PaaS approach

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

- Enterprise costs, but needed and meaningfull for PaaS approach

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Official Response from Lars Eirik Rønning:**

  ### 3. A great CMS with untapped potential within the DXP

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2024

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

What I like best about the platform is our direct access to the vendor, which allows us to influence the roadmap and request fixes for small issues we encounter. This level of support makes the experience more tailored to our needs and ensures we're always working with an evolving product.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

What I dislike about the platform is its limited user base, which makes finding online resources and community-driven solutions challenging. When we encounter issues, we can’t always rely on quick, external support or troubleshooting guides, which can slow down our problem-solving process.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a platform that could be developed within our internal development teams technology stack knowledge that also met the needs of the marketing department. We were previously outsourcing all of the development on our old platform and it was too costy. Moving to Ibexa allowed us to save a large cost while also allowing for future growth.

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

Customization, interface, user and content management

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Complex version upgrades (this should be better since the switch to Ibexa)

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Ibexa for content management, particularly to create diagnostic journeys. These journeys are intended for customer service advisors in call centers to help resolve the client's technical issues based on their data. We do not use the Page Builder; we have a customized Front-End.

  ### 5. DXP is CMS on steroids

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

With Ibexa DXP even demanding communication succeeds: presenting the relevant information to the right target group at the right moment. And this on the appropriate channel. Whether with components of Ibexa DXP itself or in interaction with systems already present in the company - thanks to the connectivity of Ibexa, the interaction works at any time.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

For smaller companies, the price entry is often difficult - although Ibexa has followed up here with special SMB options.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Build complex online platforms with lots of content, personalization, e-commerce and product data.

  ### 6. Flexible and powerful DXP for complex digital experiences

Clean, developer-friendly architecture
Excellent multi-language, multi-site, and multi-channel support
Strong roadmap with regular updates
Helpful partner and support network

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Some features are only available in the Enterprise Edition
Learning curve for less technical users (though the UI helps a lot)

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Ibexa for building websites and portals that combine content, structured product data, and customer engagement. It’s ideal for B2B companies, especially when integrating with PIM and CRM systems.

  ### 7. Ibexa DXP easy handling and extensive possibilities

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Leisure, Travel & Tourism

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

The Page Builder (Preview)
The easy-to-understand structure
The extensive customization options

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

The updates are technically sometimes challenging. The hosting (Platform SH) is unfortunately only average (e.g., in terms of customer service).

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ibexa helps us with the presentation of websites. Additionally, there are SEO (basics) to improve the ranking of the websites. Furthermore, Ibexa assists in managing and providing different booking paths with various services.

  ### 8. Ibexa is much more than CMS

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

More functionalities than a pure CMS, with PIM, personalisation, Marketingautomation is a really asset.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Hight licence costs, flexible pricing would be helpful

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Marketing needs for a Website, structure the data, and connecting to third party tools

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2025

Its high customization capacity. The robustness of the content repository. Its flexibility. Its integration capabilities. Its connection with the Martech solutions of QNTM Group.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Ibexa always deserves a complex requirement, do not use it for simple cases.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Omnichannel Projects.
Content Hub.
Complex Integrations.
Personalization.
Composable DXP in a Martech stack.
Large volumes of languages / editors / content.
Large-scale Multisite.

  ### 10. A solution tailored for organizations demanding in terms of digital experience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2024

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

Ibexa DXP provides a complete and robust CMS. The adherence to security and availability are reassuring pillars for entrusting your business to this product. It is also easy to extend thanks to its framework and allows for easy integration with your various devices.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

The Ibexa solution can rarely be used "as is." Therefore, it is essential to have a technical team or an expert integrator to properly estimate the necessary developments. It quickly becomes necessary to go through specific developments for features that may seem standard on other similar products.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ibexa allows us to quickly deploy new websites for a multitude of different needs, all centralized on our own instance. It also allows us to create very specific experiences by creating new object classes and custom UIs for back offices without abandoning extreme pooling.

  ### 11. A comprehensive and customizable tool for substantial websites

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Commercial Real Estate | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

Ibexa DXP has many useful features: studio mode with drag & drop, multi-language management, URL management, etc. Customization of the tool is also very important: whether it's for content types, studio mode blocks, or the different tabs of the interface, the tool gives us the ability to add almost anything we want. Its technical stack is well-known (PHP and based on a well-known framework), making it easier for developers.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

For creating small websites, the tool is rather heavy and requires a lot of resources. Getting to grips with the tool for novice profiles can be a bit tough.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ibexa allows us to have an efficient and powerful back office for our websites. With the DXP version, we have the ability to create landing pages on the fly and customize them as we see fit. It also allows us to have the same technical base for our web projects, simplifying development and knowledge sharing among development teams.

  ### 12. Highly flexible DXP platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

Scalability, flexibility. We were able to customise the platform to our specific needs which were complex and varied. We needed many external service integrations which the Ibexa platform can handle easily. We needed to optimise back office workflows for minimal steps to maximum process efficiency for content publishing, which is fully achievable on the Ibexa DXP platform. Caching is sophisticated as is the extensible CDN. The platform enabled us to have 1 central code base which bought considerable economies of scale for support and maintenance. The team at Ibexa are expert and offer excellent levels of service via their customer success team.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Whilst the cloud hosting is performant, it is sized in steps rather than via seperately configurable parts. This makes it easier to understand from a purchasing perspective but limited in options when it comes to pricing.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Central codebase to support multi domains. CDNfor distributed audiences.

  ### 13. A tool used for over 20 years, reliable and flexible

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Safety | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

IBEXA DXP is a tool that relies entirely on Symfony. Therefore, it is very easy to understand its functioning and to extend it, such as adding a new custom blog type to the page editor.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

It is often seen as a big gas factory and not well known among web developers. The economic model means that new web developers will more naturally turn to the competition, even though IBEXA is much more powerful.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Publishing of web content. Integration of external data. Public communication and recruitment. Promotion and enhancement of actions.

  ### 14. Tech Lead perspective

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Transportation/Trucking/Railroad | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

Flexibility and simplicity ... you can easily extend Ibexa to your needs.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

DAM is missing a lot of features that are required to be a competitive dam

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is enabling customers to extend to certain markets and regions.

  ### 15. BEST CMS ON THE MARKET

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James S. | Sr. Director, Web Communications & Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

It is super intuitive and easy to use. Flexible and customizable to meet even the strictest or bizarre business rules of the organization. Bulletproof.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

There really isnt any downside that i have experienced. Like most tools this requires resources to stay up to date and build out.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

User customization and version controll for web documents. This also provides delayed publishing and previewing of content to trigger actions while we are away.

**Official Response from Lars Eirik Rønning:**

> Thank you so much for your feedback on this James, We are happy to see you finding Ibexa DXP serve you well!
Indeed staying up to date is important: You will both benefit from new capabilities brought to the DXP as well as making sure you benefit from fixes.

  ### 16. Very intuitive working

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Pharmaceuticals | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

Once the basic principles of the system are understood, it is easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

We only use a very small portion of the possibilities, and therefore the technical implementation of our change requests in the system seems quite costly to me.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Website of the corporate group with subsidiaries and branches, all of which should receive the same brand design

  ### 17. Completely integrated with Symfony, Ibexa is a tool that is easy to get started with and evolve.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2024

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

Ibexa is a clear tool that is easy for contributors to get started with. The richness of its API, which is entirely based on Symfony and its standards, makes it a tool that is easy to configure, manage, and evolve with third-party bundles.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Ibexa is increasingly commerce-oriented. This feature may not be used or activated, but there is still some adherence if the goal is only to use it as a CMS.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

fine management of rights
multisite configuration
management of content types and templating

  ### 18. A CMS for small and large sites

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cédric S. | Project manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

A powerful CMS that relies on Symfony, easy to get started with. Possibility to use the power of APIs for headless operation.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Obligation to take the ECommerce version to access certain features

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

user rights management
multilingual management

  ### 19. Tous temps

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Pharmaceuticals | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

We have implemented a massive management of our sites (more than 120 sites) on a single Ibexa tenant. Rationalization and performance are on a solution tailored to manage these constraints.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Rien de notable depuis que nous avons travaillé ensemble sur l'optimisation des performances.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cela nous permet de centraliser massivement notre offre de vitrine numérique pour notre branche Dermo-cosmétiques.

  ### 20. Flexibility to meet our needs

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

Possibility to develop customized solutions to meet our needs.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Slowness in page builder. Heaviness of the "trash" that makes it unusable for us.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allows us to centralize our content to then publish on our website, in our web app, in our tablet/phone application, etc.

**Official Response from Sylvain Guittard:**

> Thank you for your feedback on Ibexa DXP. The performance of our solutions is one of the main priorities for the Ibexa teams. We have greatly reduced loading times on the latest version v4.6LTS. We are fully at your disposal if you continue to experience slowness on the page builder or the trash.

  ### 21. A company that still cares about the customer

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

Flexible system that easily adapts to other systems.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

For users, having a better guideline for using the system would be helpfull.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had separate systems for PIM and PIM with redundant data and a non functional integration. Ibexa centralizes those systems and is easy to integrate.

**Official Response from Lars Eirik Rønning:**

> Thank you so much for your feedback. Its greatly allows us to improve.
Feel free to follow up with a comment here or contact us directly so we can understand better on how we can improve the guidelines.

  ### 22. Good platform

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2020

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

I think it’s a good content management tool, especially for large companies. It helps a lot with creating, structuring and publishing content. If you want a “brochure ware” site, then this platform can really help.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Outputting content is not easy and if you want something special it does require special HTML skills or other templating language.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating different and unusual content, uploading files

  ### 23. To Solve PHP and CMS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Uttom R. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2019

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

eZ Platform Enterprise Edition is a great software for the webmaster. It is very easy to use solving all kinds of PHP and CMS problem.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Though it has a demo version, I think it is very expensive to use.

**Recommendations to others considering Ibexa DXP:**

It is a very useful software for the webmaster to solve their site's PHP and CMS problem. The webmaster can use it confidently.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I had solved my all kinds of PHP and CMS problem of sites and benefited a lot.

  ### 24. A good solution for multi-universe publishers

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Publishing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2017

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

The ability to share multiple content across multiple 'universes' setup within the CMS. The flexibility for the setup of these universes and the massive upgrades that add a multiude of new features.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Too much development or customisation to a specific version means that upgrading becomes very problematic. Difficult to find programmers with enough experience in the platform to utilise it correctly, meaning specilist costs soon spirial.

**Recommendations to others considering Ibexa DXP:**

Implement the data sets correctly, else migrating to other CMS', or even updating across versions will become very difficult. Understand and implement a redirect strategy as soon as you can to also ensure these can be managed effectively when used across versions. Get the development teams trained in use of the actual CMS as soon as possible.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For a 'publication warehouse' - of that there are multiple sites across multiple universes that would benefit from cross article publication. This in a real life example would be having a "food" universe of sites, that compile of Food Manufacture websites, Grocer retail, ingredient sourcing and restaurant review sites. Articles can be shared across a multitude of sites without having to republish. Really sees benefits in ensuring services such as newsletters consistently have new and exciting content.

  ### 25. eZ is the best thing happened to my life!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amir K. | Freelance Software Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2016

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

makes life so much easier and fun! it has the best features when it comes to general use of some features.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

eZPublish features and framework can sometimes be tough and it has made its learning curve steep.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

the special model of content management and use of their Framework has brought us a lot of fun :)

  ### 26. The most flexible and extensible enterprise level CMS out there.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Felix L. | Opportunity Manager IT, Non-Profit Organization Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2016

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

Developing web and mobile apps based on 4 generations of eZ Systems CMS's has been a fantastic experience.

The very best thing about eZ Platform is the backend. Symfony, Twig and clean APIs on the top make it super flexible and extensible solution wether you want html, REST or just about any other output.

Even if the community these days is not most crowdy out there, the eZ Crew is easy reachable trough Slack. Help is never far away.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Whereas the backend always has been the strong side, the front end hasn't. The contrast to e.g. Wordpress where the front end is good but the backend is crap is great. That said, the front end is improving all the time.

The same goes for documentation. Historically you needed to be quite an eZ Nerd to know where to find the good stuff. These days that is finally changing as the docs get better by the day.

**Recommendations to others considering Ibexa DXP:**

If your needs are mostly backend oriented - go for it!

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Even if the content model hasn't evolved much the last decade, it is so flexible that I hardly gives me constraints.

I develop basic solutions that need to deliver on different platforms. I tend to make my own APIs with clean and light JSON output, but I could easily switch to e.g. REST if that would suite my needs better.

  ### 27. I work with eZ Publish since 8 years. Com to Code implement it around many different projects.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicolas A. | Web Developer eZ Publish - Founder, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

Flexibility, scalability, performance, security, easy to install, easy to use, easy to maintains. A perfect product if your want perform a great web project. Also, you can use the API to perform a mobile app. e

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Nothing relevant ! Maybe lack of communication around upgrade needs for our customers but I think I've not find informations in right item on the website

**Recommendations to others considering Ibexa DXP:**

Powerful, easy to use, easy to implement, perfect tool to begin a project and implement new functionality, turn to the future, growing community with Symfony implementation, reactivity of engenering when we submit an issue, perfect product and that's all !

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since 8 years, I work on different projects with different size and context related on place game, cooking accessories, building company, training center, intranet, collaborators management.

Each websites has their particularities, their needs and eZ Publish/Platform allows to begin with a simple solution and implement easily our modules, our functionnalities to perform a wonderful tool for our customers.

eZ Publish / Platform is a real useful tool to build an easy life for our customers.

  ### 28. The better of most (all?) content management systems.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rihards S. | Senior Developer, Competence Manager, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2016

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

The fact that it's built on top of great technologies like Symfony2 and Twig.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Getting started (understanding) the system isn't the easiest to get going with, but once you do get going, you don't want to go back to other systems.

**Recommendations to others considering Ibexa DXP:**

Take your time when evaluating the system, it's not the easiest to get started with, but it's well worth it.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Large enterprises sites that have tens of different sites in as many countries. All easily brought together in a multi-site and multi-lingual installation, working together like a charm.

  ### 29. Mixed feelings about current state of ez publish 5.x and will wait 2+ years before switching to 6.x

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

Solid enterprise features
Symfony2 integration
Lower licensing costs compared to competitors
Open Source license on most of the code base

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Lots of bugs and annoyances due to integration with Symfony2, no clear documentation and way to develop apps/pages using this dual-kernel with a complementary relationship rather than complete features in Symfony2 rather than Legacy Kernel (the desired way)
Lack of latest tech trends and patterns use in the code base
Lack of good solid up-to-date documentation
Lack of development guidelines to streamline dev in a fast and reliable way, compared to competitor solutions (even open sources ones)

**Recommendations to others considering Ibexa DXP:**

Do proper due diligence by trying to develop applications and pages in eZ Publish, do not simply read outdated documentation, then judge for yourself.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using eZ Publish to build a corporate website and applications.
CMS is definitely a huge benefit as it helps streamline content creation by non-developers in a controlled way, this saves us time and money while making great marketing-driven content on the website.

  ### 30. Now developer friendly (A Developer's Review)

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2015

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

eZ Publish, or eZ Platform, is now built on top of Symfony. Symfony is a modern php web framework that has a large user base. By adopting Symfony as a backbone for eZ Publish, eZ has opened the door to make developing and extending eZ Publish easier than ever. Moreover, by adopting Symfony, eZ Publish by default has a much larger pool of developers who will be able to step into a development role on an eZ Publish project.
eZ Publish has also adopted a better release cycle and a better upgrade path. Keeping up to date is now a breeze with eZ Publish; the same claim cannot be made for other CMSs I have worked with.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

eZ still has a large legacy base that is still supported. Maintaining that legacy base can mean duplicating configuration and a slower development process for some projects. eZ is working on making this better, but it is still a pain point.
Arguably, another pain point is the eZ Publish administration interface. Due to eZ Publish's power, there is a lot to manage. This can be overwhelming for some users.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

eZ does a very good job at separating out pieces of content into meaningful types for users and editors. This makes administrating an eZ Publish site much easier than other CMS's where that separation doesn't happen (drupal, wordpress, etc).

The thing what I like the best on eZ is the way of display contents and the API

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

I dislike the documentation (even it's better than before :) )

**Recommendations to others considering Ibexa DXP:**

Be self-confident and do not be afraid by the complexity :)

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Lots of moving parts. It sometimes feel like building a spaceship and flying it at the same time.

  ### 34. Very flexible platform and the only one which fully supports Symfony

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2015

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

eZ offers a great content model which allows you to tailor the system to your needs. Unlike other CMS platforms eZ is both multi-lingual and ready for multi site projects without assuming web to be the only content channel. This is a clear advantage to many other solutions which require plugins. One of the best reasons for chosing eZ Publish 5x or eZ Platform is that it fully supports Symfony. Other platforms are using this, but not full stack.

One of the best things about rendering the content is that you are free to design your own views , meaning your content can be output in different ways and this can be done consistently. Reuse of content is easy and all data is stored independently of your presentation format, meaning it can be easily exported or offered by other solutions via APIs for instance.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

The hybrid stack is a great idea, but has been tough to work by. One of the challanges has been that it has taken some time to get the necessary features supported. The idea of having a mixutre of architectures is not the best, although it does offer existing customers a clear path to transition to the new system.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The great content model allows you to easily solve any task you want to when it comes to content representations in any channels. We have used this to both integrate with other software because of the flexible architecture. Being able to fully translate a content is also something which has not been as easily possible in other products.

  ### 35. I successfully developed websites with eZ Publish for the last 7 years

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

* flexible content structure
* multi-language support
* multi-site support
* easy to customize

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

The CMS is powerful and has a lot of feature ready to use but it's also complex and it will take before you start liking it as a developer.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing (web) content for clients which is then available for multiple output channels. Once you have experience with eZ Publish you can quickly develop solutions.

  ### 36. eZ Publish, rock-solid CMF and application platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Piotr K. | CTO, Board Member, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2015

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

There are so many things that one can love eZ Publish for... My feeling is that the majority of the good things that we appreciate about the CMS today result from the fact that the software had been designed, coded and evolved the way it should have been done, in a very mature manner. Simple as that, yet so rare for so long and in so many open source projects. Stability, extensibility, robustness, security, flexibility, extensive use of best practices in terms of content management, content model as well as code organization and application architecture - all gracefully negotiated and combined together, at least since around legacy version 3.5.x which was the eZ Publish beginning for me about 10 years ago and now additionally amplified with Symfony2. It all makes eZ Publish a very solid, reliable code and project base. After all these years I am still enthusiastic to work with it.

To name few things I like about eZ Publish in particular:
- great, mostly very consistent PHP-level API and codebase (although I can’t deny awaiting the legacy code drop),
- it is great for prototyping and negotiating content and information architecture,
- with Symfony2 framework on board, it is even more robust,
- it is a Content Management Framework rather than just a CMS, there’s really little ground for confusion with most of popular open source products,
- it does help to shape and enforce high content culture within an organization and editorial team,
- it has great a community of enthusiast and experts,
- it is open source - you are able to discover all the awesomeness and adopt it to your own liking and needs and also contribute from time to time!

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

The content model doesn’t seem to evolve too much anymore.
The general adoption of eZ Publish on our market doesn’t change at best.

**Recommendations to others considering Ibexa DXP:**

To successfully evolve complex web applications or content repositories based on eZ Publish you either need an expert implementation partner or an experienced internal team. Great as it is, the CMF is not immune to bad design or architectural decisions. To guarantee a future-proof solution you may need a team of people with deep understanding of eZ Publish content model abstraction, advanced caching, all sorts of low-level extensibility and all kinds of other details that take a lot of time and practice to master.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have developed on top of eZ Publish since around 2006 and used it for all sizes of projects, from smallest websites to large scale editorial, content repository, social or e-commerce solutions for customers in various industries. It provided us with ability to easily deal with multi-site, multi-language and/or high-load architectures. It was effectively integrated with numerous IT systems including ERP, e-commerce, payment providers, content providers etc. It allowed developing entirely dedicated extension-based applications and solutions, either interconnected or disconnected from eZ Publish content model or other core features.

  ### 37. eZ is easy, or not.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** paulo b. | IT consultant, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2015

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

This CMS is a full-featured, all bells and whistles, all-you-need, and then some, kind of beast. Many advanced features that are clunky and hard to use on other CMSes (multiple languages, document versioning, .doc and .pdf autoi ndexing), are just a click away with this app.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

eZ is not that easy to develop. To start, it is a dual app/framework thing. It comes with a whole app already working, but there's a huge API to build whatever you can dream of, and everything is customizable. It needs some time to learn all the corners. And docs are sometimes on the basic side, addressed to the ninja-level developer.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating bundles and add-on to integrate with eZ. Good thing is that it's easy to make each bundle as isolated, or as integrated as one needs. It can be almost standalone, as an independent service, or ride almost all on top of the eZ framework.

  ### 38. The best enterprise open-source CMS, very powerful, highly extensible and easy to integrate

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ivo L. | Web projects leader, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2015

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

There are many thing I like about eZ. First of all its open source which offers more innovation and efficiency when implementing web solutions on top of it. At the same time the end client has, optionally, enterprise level support to lower the risk. Furthermore, eZ has a great architecture with 2 important pillars: extensible content model for channel agnostic content management and separation of content and presentation. It has several API-s that offer easier integrations and customisation. It is based on Symfony2 PHP framework which offer almost unlimited ways of extending the core. It is known for its upgradeability (taking care that the product can be upgraded smoothly when needed)

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

The weakest point currently (Q1 2015) is the editor experience which is based on the old administration interface (the concept dates back from 2003 or so). The long awaited new editorial interface is in the works so we should have more appropriate experience for editors during 2015, finally.
Also, the learning curve is high, but it is a consequence of the fact that it not a simple CMS, it has many features and traits, and it is possible to do the same thing in many ways. So eZ might be better described as a Content Management Framework. Documentation (especially for beginners) is not very rich which contributes to the steep learning curve. This is changing recently as newer versions of eZ are based on Symfony2 which offers plenty of resources for developers.

**Recommendations to others considering Ibexa DXP:**

During 2015 eZ Systems will rollout a completely new editorial interface. That should make the product much easier to use by editors than it is today.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My company is implementing eZ based solutions from 2005. We successfully implemented and are still implementing medium and big sized web solutions. We very rarely reached limit with the product, there was always a way how to solve some issue. We like the combination of open source and enterprise which is rare and hard to accomplish. The architecture made it possible to build efficiently multi-site, multi-language and multi-channel solutions for our clients and partners. They appreciate very much, not just the cost, but the time to market benefit which is very important in this fast paced web landscape.

  ### 39. If you think big, this might be the sofware you need

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matías B. | Implementaciones CRM + Desarrollos Web, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2015

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

The most Professional CMS we have been working with.

Don't be confused, wordpress is nice, simple and fast. But this is in a whole different level, once you learn ezpublish you have a CMS platform where you can create big and fast performing sites with a very pro API that you can extend and integrate.

Based on symfony 2.X makes ez publish a perfect choice for us as we already invested in learning symfony platform inner workings.

The contend edition is very simple, you either gives them access to the site admin section (which is more daunting for beginners or just the frontend editing toolbar )
Database design is exquisite, if you have a DBA around he will love it.
Mobile ready from the beginning and the API is great.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Steep, steep learning curve. Don't download this project to make a website during the weekend.

Even some simple things take a long time to do. Don't even try to change a single parameter in the database like you will do in wordpress, here database design is so relational (maybe 3rd or 4rth degree of normalization) that you need a good understanding of the design before trying to do that.

Being symfony based (version 5 and up) made the system very robust but you need to really understand what you are doing, otherwise you will feel lost.

Community is lagging behind wordpress and other CMS.

*EDIT (24/2) - Ezpublish is not yet fully migrated to symfony so some components are not yet there and there is an ezpublish_legacy bridge, bear this in mind, try to go for the latest version and upgrade often while learning so you don't have to learn some legacy stuff.

**Recommendations to others considering Ibexa DXP:**

They moved to symfony a few years ago, a very bold move and they were followed by drupal doing the same thing.
So if you learn symfony you will already understand a lot of ezpublish and possibly drupal, your learning curve will pay off even if you leave ezpublish CMS.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tightly integrated websites.

We develop websites with a portal that is connected with ERP/CRM systems with tightly integrated functionality.

With ezpublish we got the web frontend covered when multiple users / systems required edit access to the contend. We got thousands of users using the platform buying things, checking credits, and in the background ERP inventory will be connected and customer information pushed to the CRM software.

  ### 40. In love with the Ez Publish tecnology

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vincent G. | CTO / Director de Desarrollo, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2015

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

What I prefer of Ez Publish is the Security and the Stability. I am working with EzPublish for more than 5 years, I never had security problems. Even without update the CMS for years you will be safe of hacking. I started to implement this tecnology in Chile. In the agency I am working all website was done with Joomla and Wordpress and the agency was suffering hacking everytime. Joomla and Wordpress need you to be always attentive of new versions. All websites was rewrited with ezpublish and nowadays we can focus 100% on developments improving the quality of our solucions. Of course, this is only THE best think I like with ez but i could talk about ez for hours.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

I dislike that there is no automatic update of the CMS. All have to be done manually and this is really annoying. (at least with the ez comunity version). I also dislike the fact that it is not possible to extends an existing class (talking about "content class", not about PHP class) (Employe is a Person, Director is a Person, both should have comon field ... )

**Recommendations to others considering Ibexa DXP:**

Secure, Powerful, Scalable, allow you fast improvment of your existing ezpublish projects

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With ezpublish we are able to answer all projects with one solución, from medium websites to very complicated websites. Ez Publish is using the same database structure for years, not because its an old structure, but just because the structure was very logical from the begining of the ezpublish project. This allow us to update our knowledge very quickly and to always up to date.

  ### 41. eZ Publish CMF

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrey A. | Web developer, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2015

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

I've been working with eZ Publish since v3. The case to use it is that it helps to create complex solutions definitely quickly. Quickly enough if you know how it works ;)
eZ Publish is not for simple homepages. It is more than just CMS. It is a rather powerful framework which gives developer possibilities to implement a lot of things such as new kinds of content, editor workflows, rest apis etc. Now, with Symfony2 as an underlying framework, eZ Publish is even more powerful.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Current database model can result in a bad website performance. I hope eZ Systems is going to change it in eZ Publish 6.
Moreover, it is not that easy to learn eZ Publish. Developers who starts with eZ Publish have to change their minds to understand how to create their solutions with this CMF.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

High-loaded web projects with a lot of content and services, e-commerce solutions.

  ### 42. Working with eZ Publish for more than 10 years in various size projects, and it never let me down.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Igor V. | Owner & Co-Founder, Web Solutions Architect, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2015

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

The most important feature of eZ Publish, and the one that made it such a great choice for us, is its flexibility. From highly customizable content modeling options to complete separation of content and presentation, all aspects of this CMS are thought through with adaptability in mind. Underlying PHP framework (Symfony) provides superb extensibility and can be utilized to develop custom made solutions for enterprise level clients.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Administration of content tends to be somewhat tedious, due to customizable content model that needed a generic administration interface. That being said, it is rather easy to develop a custom admin interface tailored to a specific use case. Additionally, the system had a somewhat steep learning curve, which should flattened with switch to a well documented Symfony framework that is used by recent versions of the CMS.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are developing custom made web solutions for medium sized and large customers. These kind of clients need flexibility and can appreciate the stability and customization options that eZ Publish provides. Additionally, integration options are a must in projects we are usually working on and Symfony PHP framework, upon which is eZ Publish is built, excels in these situations.

  ### 43. A flexible, modern CMS and a good platform for ecommerce

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Frank D. | Owner, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2015

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

I like best that eZ Publish is very flexible. It allows editors to work and arrange content as they want and enables developers to implement even very complex solutions.
The content is stored in a way that in can be reused for different content channels.
Beneath the CMS function eZ Publish is a powerful platform for applications. A powerful search engine based on Solr allows to run complex search queries.
Starting with version 5.0 eZ Publish uses a modern and reliable framework (Symfony2).

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

It is not so easy for new developers to learn how to develop eZ Publish applications. The learning curve is quite high.

**Recommendations to others considering Ibexa DXP:**

If you are planning to use eZ as an enterprise please check the support contracts as well. The support is very fast and helpful.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using eZ Publish mainly for complex e-commerce solutions. A powerful shop based on eZ Publish allows to build online shops connected to ERP systems.
eZ Publish allows to implement solutions with a lot of users or products. We are using eZ for shops handling more than 20 languages and more than 1 million products. The build in search engine provides a fast access to large numbers of data or faceting. The CMS allows our customers to enrich the products with content to build interesting shops.

  ### 44. Have used eZ Publish since 2009

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aleksander D. | Teknologidirektør (CTO) konsern for Norge, Sverige og Tyskland, Education Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2015

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

The possibilities to integrate with other systems (even internally developed and readily available ones) is a great benefit. If you need complete control and customization this is it and the support is grate. I would definitely recommend getting a good contact at eZ Systems and make sure he or she understands your need - if you do this you will be taken well care of.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

The admin interface is quite complex and is in need of improvement due to the feel of an old interface. This should have been improved a long time ago and hopefully they are about to get to it! A complex system needs some internal education and should have someone who uses this system often - otherwise the vast amount of possibilities can be overwhelming.

**Recommendations to others considering Ibexa DXP:**

Do a good analysis of your need and consult someone with experience as well as someone at eZ

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have increased conversion through how we communicate and have minimized a lot of manual editing since the integration is very good. Our main issue at this time is not the same as I have used previously. Now we are also integrating an e-mail marketing system known as marketing automation or eZ MA (eZ Marketing Automation) and this will connect our e-mail marketing with our web page in a very good way. We need to have this integrated with our in house developed CRM system as well and this is very well handled by this solution. We are looking forward to seeing the effect on this during this year.

  ### 45. Feature rich and very reliable, but a bit hard to learn

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jani T. | Competence Manager, Senior Developer, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2015

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

The product like mentality. A lot of functionality out of the box and the built in features work together and I don't really need that many additional plugins/modules/etc. to accomplish a site.

The adoption of the Symfony 2 full stack makes development very structured and familiar to newcomers with an MVC framework background.

Reliability. Few surprises in running eZ Publish for years.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Learning curve is quite steep and there is limited documentation and tutorials available.

The Symfony stack helps this, but there are still so many cases where it's easy for a newcomer to get confused (obsolete tutorial), new stack vs. legacy stack.

**Recommendations to others considering Ibexa DXP:**

Finding an experienced vendor to working with eZ Publish (and eZ Systems) is key. It's a complex system with many features and inexperience is an unlikely recipe for success.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mostly corporate B2C websites with light integrations to eCommerce and other external systems.

Upgrades to latest versions (3.x --> 5.x) have been quite straightforward and have not required a complete rewrite. This will naturally change with 6.x since it's dropping the legacy stack.

  ### 46. I've been building enterprise websites with eZ Publish for 8 years.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peter K. | Managing Director, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2015

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

* Separation of content and design: this means we can say "yes" to almost any import/export requirements, including mobile and syndication
* Flexibility of the content model
* Extensibility at every level: editorial workflows, reverse proxies (Varnish), e-commerce, audit logging
* Multi-language features in its core
* Backed by a company but still open source
* A focus on best practices
* Enterprise search with Solr
* Community of developers

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

* Steep learning curve
* Slow mainstream adoption in the US and Canada
* Some missing documentation

**Recommendations to others considering Ibexa DXP:**

If you have in-house developers, get proper training and/or partner with an implementation company who can help you learn the best practices.

Do not expect to just "pick a template". The CMS is meant for companies who have complex functional requirements and specific design needs.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We work with a variety of companies where content is one of the most important parts of their organization. eZ Publish solves a wide range of problems in industries such as:

* Online publishing: high traffic, high availability needs; complex content modeling; editorial workflow; multi-channel; multimedia content, SEO
* Financial services: audit logging, security, content editing and syndication rules, complex user and editorial permissions
* SaaS companies: integration with the client company's core product as well as with common marketing tools such as Salesforce, Marketo, Eloqua, mailing list management, and marketing automation tools
* E-commerce integrations and capabilities
* Others: museums (high volume of content and integrations), hospitals (workflow tools, export to CSV, PowerPoint, PDF, Excel, and more), higher education (reporting, search, large volumes of content)

  ### 47. Really more than just a Content Management System

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sébastien M. | CTO / Head of U.S. Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2015

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

I have been working with eZ Publish for almost 10 years since 2005 beginning with eZ Publish 3.6.1.
In Europe this product is well known and use by a lot of company.

I really like this CMS not only because I know it very well technically but because it’s clearly more than just a CMS.

eZ Publish is a platform, it’s a CMF, a CMS and a CXM

I don't want to list all the good features provided by eZ Publish out of the box (content structure, flexibility, multilingualism, multi channels and so on) you should try! There are a lot and moreover it's very simple to extend the system yourself. (or add professional extension)

For me the most important thing I noticed over the years about eZ Publish and eZ Systems is their professionalism.
The backward compatibility has been maintained at least since 3.6.x. (yes! For almost over 10 years you can preserve your content in the database!)
That’s for me one of the most important thing I like in eZ. That’s what customers like and need!

eZ Publish is a platform adapted for professional projects. And professionals build non short-lived projects, they want to get something stable, scalable and able to evolve.

The second thing I like is the quality of the product under the hood. Everything is unit tested, it’s really clean, the source code respects a lot of web standards and that’s managed by teams of engineers completely committed to deliver a really good product.
It's a OpenSource project but eZ Teams valid, fix, improve community contributions and they assure the quality of the product.

Last point, because eZ Publish 3.x has suffered about some bad reputation : You can build high performance website with eZ Publish.
I have built with our team some very highly available websites on eZ Publish. Websites able to handle the traffic generated by (for example) the FIFA World Cup on a famous nationwide (France) newspaper website.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

I dislike the Administration Interface. The first thing we do when we start a project: we change the CSS, add some icons to turn the Administration Interface more “user-friendly” for customers and contributors.

But I know eZ Systems are working on a new User Interface really interesting.

**Recommendations to others considering Ibexa DXP:**

Since eZ Publish is based on Symfony2 there are many new possibilities. The community is now bigger than ever with the Symfony community.
My recommandation would be to test the product and think about eZ Publish like a platform and not just like a CMS.

There are a lot of concept behind eZ Publish, so it could appear to be a complex product. That’s true! But it’s a complex product able to lead you to what you want to.

Moreover there is a Support, an Enterprise Edition and very good consultants provided by eZ Systems.

But also Web Agencies able to help you on your projects ;-)

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We realized different kind of project with eZ Publish from simple corporate website to very big news website able to handle a lot of contributors and a lot of visitors in the same time and also a mobile application with hundreds of thousands users and a good REST API.

  ### 48. Only one doing localization right at the time

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luis C. | Senior Engineer, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

My review is based on working with the 3.X version of eZ; the recommendation score is based on not having used the 4.X or 5.X versions that have been released in the years since I actively used the product. I can't say how well it currently measures up to the competition, but I would recommend at least giving it a try.

At the time, eZ was the only CMS system that supported localization "out of the box". That was a huge win for supporting a company based in Germany but with customers in Europe, the US, and Japan. It allowed us to quickly build a site to meet the needs of marketing and sales across a variety of languages.

The template system was robust allowing for deep customization of how content was presented across various areas of the site. Its extension system allowed us to integrate our existing license portal system with it and build a sales tool platform on top of it.

Was a solid enough CMS system, that I began using it for my personal web site as well.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

The system / UI for managing templates was not intuitive and required manually bookmarking template files once you found them. Otherwise, you would have to spend time hunting for it again a few months later when you finally needed to access it again.

**Recommendations to others considering Ibexa DXP:**

Hard to say based on not having used any of the latest versions. At the time, it had fantastic localization support where other CMS systems lagged behind.

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solved the issue of multilingual content, single-sign on with other platforms, and having a unified web site. The extension system allowed us to integrate or build on top of it a number of mission critical services.

  ### 49. Flexible and well-designed CMS for developers with a good future

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2015

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

The CMS is very flexible, the project is open so it is easy to help contribute to fix bugs and add features, eZ does a good job of making substantial updates to the system without leaving old features behind.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

Interface for selecting content and custom tags in content blocks, no embeddable custom form designer, coupling with YUI for new backoffice component

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Inflexibility of other CMS applications, or poorly-designed content models of other systems

  ### 50. Integration of eZ Publish in various projects

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2015

**What do you like best about Ibexa DXP?**

The principals points of eZ Publish are the possibilities of customization : creating objects, access to .ini files, global parameters, site parameters. All of those parameters can be set in the backoffice.

Those facilities gives a maximum of flexibility, and the ability to create various sites or application with no much specific code.

The connection with Varnish works fine and allows the possibility to create extensibleend efficient platforms for high capacity sites.

**What do you dislike about Ibexa DXP?**

eZ Publish is a PHP platform : for specific code (unit testing, evolutivity of code) and security, i consider java is more efficient.

But eZ Publish, with its customization interface and clustering facilities compensate this point.

**Recommendations to others considering Ibexa DXP:**

I think the roadmap chosen this year by eZ Publish is the good one. eZ Publish is a good product with a qualified development team.

The customization facilities of eZ Publish, and the further customer enhancements will be very interesting for most of users,

**What problems is Ibexa DXP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

First, we have studied various CMS for one of our customer (Jahia, Magnolia, eZ Publish, Drupal) and have chosen eZ Publish for its customization properties and possible enhancements.

Later, for other customers, we achieved doing internet and intranet sites, with connectors with other applications (Nuxeo, Alfresco, java applications, etc.).

The templating model allows us to create efficient front office independant of datas and functionalities of back-offices : for example we created a site which allows powerpoint creation and manipulations (creating slides form web, fusion, rearranging slides, etc.) with eZ publish (front is eZ Publish template, files ares stored in eZ Publish) and a connector with a java application which generates the powerpoint modifications and creation.
