"Comprehensive WordPress forms"

What do you like best about Gravity Forms?

Gravity Forms lets you create just about any form you can think of, from simple contact forms to multipage application forms. Wide range of plugins to provide connectivity to just about every 3rd party platform you already use - email providers, payments, CRMs, etc. Particularly well suited to creating simple product fulfilment paths.

Very easy to build even complex forms. Fields can even be displayed in columns by utilising the provided CSS classes (some technical understanding required). Much easier to configure the notification emails than many of the other form plugins (like Contact Form 7). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gravity Forms?

The interface is getting a little dated (it's definitely not as slick as WP Forms) and could use an update. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Gravity Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?

All of our contact forms (including those we build for clients) are implemented with Gravity Forms. Additionally, the signup/purchase paths for the majority of our services are implemented in Gravity Forms. This allows us to automate payments, add the customer to the appropriate email list, send confirmation emails and redirect them to a booking page automatically. What do you like best about Gravity Forms?

Recommendations to others considering Gravity Forms:

Do your research ahead of time and determine if it will fit your needs out of the box. Be prepared to purchase other Add-Ons or customize/write code if necessary. Consider the renewal costs of add-ons as well. Also, Gravity Forms isn't set up out of the box to view submitted data, so you will need something for that. Gravity View seems to be the go-to. What problems is Gravity Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are collecting client surveys before handling some equipment repairs, which facilitates the process when clients drop off equipment or ship it to us. We recently started accepting PayPal and Stripe payments right from the form entry. With some custom JavaScript, we are also looking up data from our Internal 4D server and also sending data back with the Webhooks Add-On. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Gravity Forms?

It doesn't have the prettiest UX on the admin side, but this is very nitpicky. Ultimately it doesn't matter what I see, it matters what my leads see. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love how reliable it is. It is one of the most robust form builders on the market at this point, but you don't have to utilize all of the bells and whistles to have it work for you. What problems is Gravity Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am using Gravity Forms to allow me to ask different leads the right questions. If someone just has a basic question or isn't starting a project, they shouldn't have to go through my whole lead capture form. Additionally, I have different questions for different types of projects so people can pick what they are interested in and only answer questions pertinent to that service. What do you like best about Gravity Forms?

It's fully customizable. The talent to support when needed is broad. It works consistently. Their support is dedicated. The intuitive drag and drop fields, with prepopulated options, are great as well, and their almost 1 click integration for Strip and others makes it a breeze for simple eCommerce. What do you dislike about Gravity Forms?

I suppose it's lacking in easy of styling, while I understand there is a give and take to the user's understanding of CSS but it would be nice to have more styling options in the form builder. There can be some learning curves for sure. However it's likely the issue you're having, can be easily solved by google or a quick support ticket, or updating a plugin. I'd also like to see easier integrations with other tools. CRMs for example. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Gravity Forms:

Follow the instructions, plan ahead, don't make assumptions. They provide detailed tutorials, but it's for a novice either. You will need some Wordpress, and HTML, CSS, and other familiarities to get the best out of the tool. Otherwise, hire an expert and you'll be very happy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Gravity Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?

Small transactions, online applications, and more. It streamlines the way our clients get the data they need. It makes operations for the recipients so much easier. Before a contact-us form was a gluten for punishment for our end users. Now we can qualify the inquiry both getting the user's information they need and the clients the same much more quickly. What do you like best about Gravity Forms?

It is so quick to build some quite complex forms that include conditional fields and across multi-pages. Integrating with payment gateways to create a quick eCommerce cart works well. It has plenty of classes to add custom styling, particularly for replacing radio buttons and checkboxes with images to improve user experience and conversions. What do you dislike about Gravity Forms?

The default styling when not displaying labels is off (the vertical spacing between complex fields and normal fields is different to the space between two normal fields). The best use is using Gravity Forms to create visual customer journeys and segmentation. Data is sent to a CRM to then send out messages based on the answers from the form.

What do you like best about Gravity Forms?

It's simple to use yet powerful and flexible. I can knock out simple forms in the matter of minutes. But it also handles much more complex forms when needed. There are other very acceptable form solutions available for WordPress. I've tried them all. Some do some things well while others do other things well. Learning curve for clients is steep (especially in our industry) and it's sometimes strange that it doesn't just create a new page when you make a form (and you have to add it as a short code - some of my clients don't like that or expect different functionality). We've used gravity forms to solve issues with previous survey systems (mostly from third parties). We've used it to make better checkout flow for e-commerce. Incorporated gravity forms to increase the use and functionality of CRM's. We've implemented it for better usage of our websites. We've also used it to create a calculator for increasing traffic to one site where you can calculate your catering order a head of time to get a better estimate.
