**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohak K. | Software Engineer 1, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I like Grammarly's real-time sentence rewrite and tone detection most, as they transform my clunky drafts into clear text. The suggestions make writing feel intuitive and professional without constant second guessing. I also appreciate its plagiarism checker and generative AI features, as they ensure originality in technical documents and offer fresh ideas for complex explanations.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

I dislike that Grammarly occasionally overcorrects stylistic choices and misses context-specific nuances, which frustrates me when writing technical documents. Specific areas that need improvement are its recognition of technical terminology, its tendency to overcorrect structured text, and its nuance detection for tone and styles.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Grammarly for real-time grammar, spelling, and style corrections in emails and documents, ensuring clarity and professionalism. It solves issues like typos, grammar slips, clarity, tone mismatches, and makes writing feel intuitive and professional.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abrão B. | Senior Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

I'm using it on my daily work routine and it help me to polish the way I write and communicate with my teammates and leadership. It helps me to sound more professional and to make less to no mistakes.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

It helps me to avoid spelling mistakes and to sound more professional and polite at work. Also it helps me to learn English while writing and checking some word/sentence connection mistakes.

  ### 3. Great Writing assistant for daily business use

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karan K. | Software Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I use Grammarly both as a browser extension and as a Windows app, and it works like a charm. What I like most is that it highlights my grammatical errors as I type, which saves me time since I used to check for mistakes only after finishing my content. Its integration with Slack and Microsoft Teams is also excellent. Now, I don't have to worry about grammatical errors in any formal messages I send to my superiors on Slack.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

The only thing that I find a bit annoying is that it sometimes makes my informal or casual messages sound too formal.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I sometimes work as a software developer and also take on freelance projects. When I draft emails or communicate with clients and superiors at work, Grammarly proves to be very useful. It provides real-time spell checks and suggestions, which saves me time compared to relying on ChatGPT for everything.

  ### 4. Excellent Features and Support, But Pro Version Is Pricey

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paril T. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I use Grammarly extensively and really appreciate its features. It’s easy to use and simple to integrate into any system through its extension. Grammarly helps me work more effectively and accurately in my company tasks. It integrates smoothly with both Windows and Mac systems, allowing you to easily identify syntax errors and correct specific words through its website or extension. Additionally, its step-by-step guidance and responsive customer support have been very helpful for me.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

I dislike a few things about Grammarly. The free version is very limited, and the premium version is quite expensive. For example, when I check a whole paragraph, the free version only allows one or two corrections. But when I actually need it, the limit has already expired, which makes things difficult for me. Sometimes, the extension also doesn’t work properly — it shows the correct suggestion at first, but when I click to apply it, nothing gets updated.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Grammarly helps me improve my grammar skills and solve related problems. When I create documents or write any content, it helps me identify errors in words or syntax one by one and suggests corrections. This makes my work more effective and improves the quality and presentation of my documents. Using Grammarly in my company work saves me time in identifying mistakes in text or documents and increases the accuracy of my tasks.

  ### 5. Polishes Professional Communication Flawlessly

I like how Grammarly suggests the removal of unnecessary words and repetitions, which is crucial for me as brevity is important in email writing and report writing. Also, the initial setup of Grammarly was quite easy.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

There isn't a feature to disable the add-in, resulting in too many suggestions sometimes.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Grammarly for changing informal tone to formal in emails and refining grammar in report writing. It also helps in suggesting the removal of unnecessary words and repetitions, which makes my writing concise.

  ### 6. Grammarly: Your Personal Writing Coach

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nijat I. | Full-stack Developer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

Grammarly is employed in a work setting for improving the quality of professional written communication. It is used in composing email, company documents, and other external business documents. Real-time feedback on the document enables professionals to ensure that the document is clear, grammatically corrected, and toned aptly before sending it across to their colleagues and/or clients. It saves professionals from extra work of proof-reading and editing.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

Some suggestions must be checked manually in order to fit a particular business context. The advanced functionality is not readily available on the lower plans. It might not adjust entirely to industry-specific jargon. The tool is internet-dependent for its full functionality to be achieved. The above constraints are not used to undermine its usefulness in a working context.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Grammarly is an answer to the issue of irregular and error-ridden business communication through writing. It makes it easier for teams to write clear and professional content. It also enables teams to write content faster. There is less need to edit. Errors are also less likely. It means that teams can communicate faster and clearer.

I usually use Grammarly to polish my emails and day-to-day work communications. It catches my grammar mistakes and adjusts the tone as needed. I like how seamlessly Grammarly works in the background, helping me with real-time corrections without interrupting my flow. Whether it's grammar, tone, or clarity, it saves me time by making my communications clear and fits seamlessly into my daily workflow. The initial setup was quite easy even for a novice, just install it as a browser extension, and you can start using it in a couple of minutes.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

It sometimes struggles with context awareness, specifically in small communications and where more industry-specific nuanced jargons or terminologies are used. I have noticed during these times the suggestions are highly generic. Also sometimes, the suggestions given on the pretext of the emails are usually way off and there is no clarity given on the reasoning of those suggestions.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Grammarly to polish emails and work communications, ensuring they're error-free and professionally toned, saving time and enhancing clarity.

You rely on correction instead of learning structure

  ### 16. Real-Time Feedback Boosts Writing Confidence

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Apna K. | Computer , Computer Networking, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Grammarly?**

I use Grammarly for polishing emails, making them sound professional or friendly. I love how it catches grammar and punctuation mistakes, like misplaced commas or subject-verb agreement errors. It’s like having a second set of eyes. I appreciate the real-time suggestions, which are like having a co-pilot as I write. It points out errors as I go, so I can correct them on the spot, improving my writing flow and efficiency. This real-time feedback acts almost like a 'pre-proofreading' process, reducing the need for endless revisions. The initial setup of Grammarly is super straightforward, which is another reason why many people find it easy to get started.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

Sometimes, Grammarly can miss the mark when it comes to context. For example, when using industry-specific terms or a more casual, conversational tone, it might flag something as incorrect when it's actually fine in that particular context. Also, while Grammarly does a good job of detecting the tone of your writing, sometimes the suggestions for adjusting tone feel a bit generic. It might not always capture the specific vibe you want, like aiming for a friendly but professional tone. More granular adjustments, where it could learn from your past writing style or mimic your voice better, would be great.

**What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Grammarly for polishing emails, making them sound professional or friendly. It catches grammar and punctuation mistakes, acting like a second set of eyes. The real-time suggestions help me correct errors instantly, making writing more efficient and reducing the need for revisions.

Grammarly also helps improve my written and verbal skills.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

It works smoothly with tools like Google Docs, Microsoft Word, and email platforms, maintaining consistent writing quality across different platforms.

**What do you dislike about Grammarly?**

One thing that could be improved is the cost of the Premium plan, as many useful features are locked behind it. Sometimes Grammarly also suggests changes that don’t fit the context, especially for technical terms, names, or intentional writing styles. The browser extension can feel slightly slow on long documents, and occasionally it repeats suggestions that aren’t necessary.

It's really helpful as a non-English speaker because it ensures that I use written communication effectively, framing sentences in a way that others, including English speakers, can understand the tone I want to convey. The initial setup was easy too, just install an app.
