Vital class engagement is achieved via polls, videos, and document collaboration. Trainer evaluation and exams ensure learning has taken place. ## GoTo Training Reviews ### 1. Also, more options and features were available after they did the most recent update. **What do you dislike about GoTo Training?** The most significant downside I experienced when using GoToTraining was that it was very glitchy when logging into my GoTo account and would inconsistently start meetings. I would say this happened 25% of the time. After talking to support, it seems nothing could explain it. **What problems is GoTo Training solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were able to gather valuable information from registrants of events, which was required for reporting of Federal grants. We also used the evaluation tool after training sessions to help improve our products and training for future sessions. ### 2. What I liked most was how relatively user-friendly it was, generally speaking, but specifically the control that administrators had OVER the training was very robust. This product is designed to have a captive audience, and without much call-and-response from the audience or open forum Q&A, unless utilizing the chat. I also appreciated how simple but direct the attendee reports were. The formatting was easy to read, and did not require much editing for archival purposes. **What do you dislike about GoTo Training?** This is designed for a captive audience. So for my organization, we used this as a way for distance-learners to effectively "stream in" and view a live class. Students at that time were not appearing on camera or miked, so any questions from students attending were sending questions along through the chat. Once COVID-19 hit us and we were forced to move to virtual classes, we found this to be ineffective and severely limiting, especially for classes that covered material needed to obtain a license, as those are intended to involve a lot of interaction both face-to-face and audibly. GTT was limited in this sense as no more than five attendees (including the presenter) could appear on camera. So while I can wholeheartedly recommend GoToTraining, I will just add the caveat that one should know *what* they are looking for in a virtual meeting software before implementing. **What problems is GoTo Training solving and how is that benefiting you?** When we used GoToTraining, it helped solve the issue of students that were licensed in our state but not permanently located here, so they could attend classes that we did not offer in other formats. They could gain knowledge unique to those classes they may not have gotten elsewhere. One specific anecdote I still vividly remember is that one of our virtual students was almost 8 months pregnant. Traveling from the suburbs to our downtown office classrooms was not conducive for her, and by not having to travel to be in person for this class, she fulfilled the educational requirements for her license without sacrificing physical comfort, given the stage of her pregnancy. ### 3. The GoTo Training application comes as a combined unit in the GoTo application, where GoTo Meeting is easily accessible. So there's no additional download required, making it easier to set up a session. You can host a training session similar to meetings or schedule them for a future date with the help of the calendar. The calendar is synced with the same schedule as your webinars and meetings, so you can ensure there is no overlap. During training sessions, you can share your screen or a specific window with the participants involved and present slides. The quality is excellent and the texts are legible when reading through a shared screen or presentation. You can use your training room to exchange instant messages at any time. When sharing or presenting, the participants can use the virtual hand raise tool to request some time to ask you questions with your permission. If the question is specific to one participant, you can wait until after the end to create breakout rooms for those participants without taking up everyone's time to discuss. You can also use the virtual whiteboard for further explanation and drawing. GoTo Training is the ideal training platform for our interns and fresh recruits. We can record our training and save them on the cloud for anyone to view at any time. This allows them to go through the videos if they don't fully recollect any of the topics discussed during the training. GoTo provides well-informed reports on each training session we conduct, with real-time statistics on attendance and participation. Furthermore, GoTo Training can be integrated with Salesforce, which is handy when we need to train people to get accustomed to the CRM software. **What do you dislike about GoTo Training?** I haven't found any downsides to GoTo Training. It's pretty easy to work with and we use it regularly. **Recommendations to others considering GoTo Training:** My advice for those considering GoTo Training is that it's a pretty interacting and seamless program for training sessions. It's easy to access if you already use GoTo Meeting for your meetings. GoTo as a whole offers everything for a remote workspace, which I can highly vouch for. **What problems is GoTo Training solving and how is that benefiting you?** GoTo Training helps me connect and conduct training sessions for our recruits alongside my team. It's a very streamlined application where we can access tools such as screen sharing, presenting, whiteboarding, and more to help them learn the ropes of our department. GoTo Training is pretty user-friendly and the hand-raising tool makes it comfortable for both the trainers and the trainees to have QnA sessions during the training without any interruption. If the question is specific to one person, we can make breakout rooms with one or more participants to discuss and go over the matter without stalling the others. The whiteboard is accessible at all times, so even outside of scheduled training sessions, we can use them to draw and make quick notes that we can share with the group as an image. Communicating through GoTo Training is pretty seamless as GoTo Meeting is available on the above tab whenever needed. ### 4.
