"Powerful Insights into Traffic, Behavior, and Website Performance"
4/5
What do you like best about Google Analytics?

What I like best about Google Analytics is the insight it provides into traffic, user behavior, and overall website performance. It helps me quickly understand what’s working, where visitors are coming from, and how to make better marketing and website decisions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Analytics?

Since the rollout of GA4, the interface has become much more complicated to use compared to Universal Analytics. Universal Analytics felt more straightforward and intuitive, while GA4 can feel less user-friendly and harder to navigate, especially when trying to quickly find the data you need. Although GA4 is powerful, the overall experience now requires more time to learn and use efficiently than the previous version.S Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Data Centralization, Steep Learning Curve"
5/5
What do you like best about Google Analytics?

I most like that Google Analytics allows us to show clients how different marketing channels play a unique role in their big picture marketing plan. We can show how certain customer journeys may require more touch points than others and provide a visualization of the way multi-channel marketing achieves more than one path can alone. Google Analytics functions exceptionally well for an agency managing multiple clients, with aggregate settings that allow for easy integration with clients. The initial setup was easy. What do you dislike about Google Analytics?

While the insights are fantastic, the UI is daunting for clients, and even some times for specialists who work across campaign builds and reporting. We have to build custom Looker Studio dashboards for clients just to simplify the GA data into something clients can digest. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"AI-Powered Insights and Predictive Planning Make Google Analytics a Standout"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Google Analytics?

What sets Google Analytics apart in 2026 is its shift from pure reporting to predictive decision support. The new AI-driven Generated Insights on the home screen proactively flag anomalies and seasonality, while the cross-channel budgeting tools—specifically scenario planning—allow us to forecast ROI before committing spend. Its seamless integration with BigQuery and Google Ads creates a high-performance ecosystem where data-driven attribution finally bridges the gap between top-funnel awareness and final conversions Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Analytics?

The steep learning curve remains its biggest drawback; the transition from session-based to event-based tracking still makes onboarding a nightmare for non-technical users. The UI/UX feels fragmented, often requiring too many clicks to reach standard reports. Furthermore, the lack of direct support for the free version means businesses are left to rely on community forums or expensive consultants to fix basic configuration issues. "Powerful and reliable analytics tool for understanding user behavior"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Google Analytics?

What I like most about Google Analytics is that it brings deep insights into user behavior, traffic sources, and content performance together in one place. The real-time data, customizable dashboards, and detailed reports make it easier to track website performance accurately and understand what’s working. It also integrates smoothly with other Google products like Google Ads and Search Console, which helps make data-driven decision-making more effective. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Analytics?

The biggest downside for me is the learning curve—especially with GA4—which can feel quite complex for beginners. Some of the more advanced reports also require extra configuration before they’re truly useful, and data sampling or occasional delays can make analysis less straightforward at times. On top of that, customer support is largely documentation-based, which may not be enough when you’re dealing with urgent issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Essential for SEO, Improved Insights Post-GA4"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Google Analytics?

I use Google Analytics to monitor user behavior, user count, sessions, and other user-related metrics. It's very important for me to understand user behavior and performance on my websites, as I do SEO and run blogs. There are uncountable things I like about Google Analytics, but if I had to highlight one, it would be how clearly it shows where users came from and how they behaved on the site. This feature helps me understand which channels or pages are driving engagement and revenue, allowing me to improve, scale, or change the strategy accordingly. I also use Google Search Console together with Google Analytics for better insights. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Analytics?

The interface and options have become very complex after the GA4 update. If they can improve the interface, it will be the best. Also, the initial setup is difficult for beginners, but watching a tutorial on YouTube can help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Website Insights, but GA4’s New Interface Feels Overly Complex"
3/5
What do you like best about Google Analytics?

It’s the only platform for getting insights into my website. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Analytics?

It used to be easy to use. After the update, the new GA4 is so complicated that you need to watch videos just to understand how to use it, or even how to view reports. It’s become so complex that now I only use it to get basic information. I can't get the reports I need for website performance, Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Clear Multi-Site Visitor Insights by Location, Device, and Language."
5/5
What do you like best about Google Analytics?

I like that I can see who is visiting my website from different countries, regions, and cities, as well as what devices, languages, and operating systems they’re using. If you manage multiple websites, you can keep them all under one account and still get clear insights for each one. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Analytics?

It can be a bit difficult to understand at first, but once you read through the available online resources, you’ll find a lot of helpful information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Integration and Usability with Minor Complexities"
5/5
What do you like best about Google Analytics?

I like that Google Analytics is accurate, free, and easy to use. It integrates well with most other platforms, making our tech stack easy and quite flexible. It's great that it works well with tools like Tag Manager and call tracking partners. The simplicity in usage means that lots of team members can pick it up and use it to get the data they need easily, without relying on a specialist. This ease allows us to analyze data effortlessly and continually improve our campaigns and performance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Analytics?

Some of the statistics can be confusing. It's also quite difficult to explain to people the difference between some of the analytics and the way they're scoped, and you can't always put certain metrics with others. This makes it quite confusing, especially the wording of some of the stats. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Works fine but coud be simpler"
4/5
What do you like best about Google Analytics?

We mainly use it to track how many people visit our website and where they come from. We also use it to see how users move around the site, including which pages they visit most often. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Analytics?

The setup of Google Analytics was a bit complex and also wasn't initially tracking local host interactions, but I managed to fix it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Features, Complex Transition"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Google Analytics?

I love the exploration features in Google Analytics because it allows me to build pivot tables, funnel visualizations, and path analysis that were impossible in the old version. The event-based models are also great since they mean I can track anything as an event, giving me custom visibility. I'm not limited to category, action, label anymore. I also appreciate that I can build audiences, like those likely to churn in seven days, and immediately put them in Google Ads to save those customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Analytics?

The transition was a nightmare. The UI is hostile. For a casual user, it's terrible. Simple reports like landing pages or traffic source are hidden deep in menus or require manual construction. It's not pick up and play like the old version. And data thresholding. This is the most annoying feature. If I drill down too deep, example, looking at a specific campaign with few clicks, Google Analytics hides the data to protect privacy. Showing me zeros even when I know there were visits.
