## Function Point Reviews
  ### 1. Function Point changed the way we do business

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karen B. | Creative Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2017

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

Function Point has allowed our creative agency to be agile, stay on tasks, and keep many balls in the air at a time. It has compiled all the data we need to run a busy studio and allowed our team members to stay attuned to the task a hand without direct leadership throughout the day. Prior to having a CRM tool keeping up with tasks was difficult and often required extensive communication between team members. No we are a well oil machine of knowing who is doing what and when. My staff would cry if I took Function Point away from them as they live and breath it everyday to follow their assigned tasks and budgeted time per task.

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

Function Point is so robust that many of the functions and abilities are not always used in the day to day.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Staying organized is imperative to our business success and lost time and details can compromise client relationships and future work. Function Point ensures we do what we say we're going to do when we say we are going to do it.

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2018

How easy logging time is, it is a very smooth experience.

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

How complicated accessing jobs and estimates can be

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Logging time, the easier logging time is the more likely people are to do it.

**Official Response from Levi Wilson:**

> We're so glad to hear you're enjoying the time tracking process in FP!

  ### 3. Great Tool for Small Agencies!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicole C. | Sr. Director of Development, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2018

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

Function Point is extremely easy to use. The interface is intuitive for any level user. It has what we need without a lot of extras that we don't use. It's also cost effective for a small agency.

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

There isn't a ton of customization so sometimes you have to be creative to work within the parameters on things like estimates.

**Recommendations to others considering Function Point:**

We looked at this product and another called TimeFox. We found this tool to have more of what we needed, simpler to use and more cost effective.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use the tool to track jobs and time. We are also able to easily create professional looking estimates. It helps keep our jobs organized and ensure we are profitable on every job.

**Official Response from Levi Wilson:**

> Nicole - we appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts with us. Please don't ever hesitate to reach out with your feedback - we're always ready to listen for how we can make Function Point better!

  ### 4. Easy to use and very efficient

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2018

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

The ease of use and accessibility. (Love the dashboard feature)

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

Constant logging in and out (randomly signs me out)

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We run the bulk of our processes through FP and it benefits us in terms of organization and accessibility for different departments throughout the business. Keeps everyone on the same page.

**Official Response from Levi Wilson:**

> Thanks for sharing your feedback with us! If you'd like us to dig deeper into the challenge you're having with being signed out of FP, let us know at heretohelp@functionpoint.com. We'd be more than happy to look into it.

  ### 5. Using Function Point for agency use.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2018

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

The option to have an individual jobs log under one project

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

The lack of consistent searching. If there is a better way to implement per client keywords and only sort certain categories for easy of finding a specific job. It would also be helpful to omit certain keywords.

**Recommendations to others considering Function Point:**

ability to search consistently.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Billing time per creative hours. The total project time.

The lack of consistent searching. If there is a better way to implement per client keywords and only sort certain categories for easy of finding a specific job. It would also be helpful to omit certain keywords.

**Official Response from Levi Wilson:**

> We've passed on your suggestions to our Product team for consideration. Thanks for sharing this great feedback with us, we appreciate it!

  ### 6. Function Point increased our effciency exponentially!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristin M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2018

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

The ability to communicate so easily within the team is the software's greatest strength.

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

We do not use it to it's full capabilities.

**Recommendations to others considering Function Point:**

I highly recommend Function Point to anyone. It helped us improve in ways we couldn't even imagine on our own. We still don't use it to its full capabilities-looking forward to implementing more of their features as we progress.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Function Point provides the opportunity to work remotely, keep projects moving forward, and increases efficiency.

**Official Response from Levi Wilson:**

> Thanks so much for your kind words, Kristin. We'll be here if you and your team need any help going forward -- just let us know!

  ### 7. 20+ yrs Account management

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2018

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

Historical lookups of client jobs, tasks & invoicing

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

Lack of collaboration between the person submitting the task and the recipient ... back & forth comments

**Recommendations to others considering Function Point:**

Though some functionality could be expanded, I have yet to experience any access problems or lagging issues. The data we is always available when we need it.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Project management of creative tasks from input through delivery

**Official Response from Levi Wilson:**

> Thanks for sharing your feedback with us!

  ### 8. Great tool for budgeting software

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2018

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

Function Point has helped to streamline our budgeting process. Allowing our internal team members to have a direct link to see exactly the budget for their project. It also has helped to streamline our business office in terms of creating purchase orders, and overall managing individual project budgets.

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

Function Point does not have the ability to create custom reports. So, when we have requested the pull certain data we have been told this isn't possible, even when we have offered to pay for the creation of a custom report. It also has been challenging from an agile work process perspective. My company creates custom software & films, and so we are often shifting workloads around to various internal resources - this has become quiet cumbersome to manage the constant shift of staffers. Additionally, the way the function point is set up we are unable to use the schedule feature as our schedules need to include all audits - and the scheduling feature currently only allows you to create a schedule based on 1 audit not multiple.

**Recommendations to others considering Function Point:**

Function Point has been a great tool for our company. What we have found is that while it is lacking for us in terms of project management, it has been great from a time tracking and budget management perspective. We currently have not found a tool to be robust enough to cover both areas.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently Function Point is solving our budget management problems. Project Managers are able to have a real-time update of what their overall project budget is without having to consult with the business office. Conversely, as a director at the company I am able to log in and see exactly how all projects are going so I can pin point specific projects that need additional attention and support. Function Point has also helped to ease time logging for our staff - making it very easy for them to log their time.

**Official Response from Levi Wilson:**

> We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts with us! We've submitted your feedback to be considered by our Product team, and if you ever have other suggestions, please don't hesitate to let us know: functionpoint.ideas.aha.io!

  ### 9. BSE Loves FP

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Samantha B. | Partnership Development Director, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2017

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

We love that we can see everything going on for that client and also how it ties into QB so easily. Invoicing was a nightmare as it used to be so manual. FP makes it more automated.

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

It's complex, you have to really dig in and learn what is best for your agency. I think when an agency signs up that they should get in-person training for at least a full day and then 6 months after they use the system. That is really when the agency starts to learn how it will work best for them.

**Recommendations to others considering Function Point:**

Ask for in person training. Be patient.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Invoicing and see where everyone is really spending their time. No more manually invoicing, it makes it easy to see if we are using our time wisely and if clients are making too many change requests.

  ### 10. Customizable Project Management Solution

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren M. | Creative Services Project Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2017

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

Function Point helps keep our projects on track and the schedule allows me to manage our workflow. I also like that I am able to customize different parts of Function Point to meet my company's needs. I appreciate that they are open to improvement and have even implemented one of my suggestions.

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

I often feel that I have to click too many times to get to certain parts of a job. For example, when I go to the schedule I lose the main job navigation and I am forced to backtrack. It would be nice if the job navigation remained. I also prefer the way clients see notes over how myself and the designers view them. It requires a lot of backtracking and clicking to view different notes.

It is hard to use on a mobile device. I wish they had an app or mobile friendly site for our clients.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Function Point keeps our team organized and allows us to manage a large number of projects on a daily basis. All important job contacts stay in the loop and on the same page.

**Official Response from Levi Wilson:**

> Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us, Lauren. Please continue to reach out whenever you have ideas or suggestions. We're always ready to listen.

  ### 11. Very smart and intuitive advertising agency project management software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2017

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

We like that it seems to be designed by people who understand our business and what we need to get our jobs completed. I've used other software such as Clients and Profits, Advantage, Workamajig but those seem to be designed with the agency's finance department primarily in mind (guessing because the office manager is often the decision maker in purchasing these software) with project management very secondary. This is the opposite....the project management is very intuitive and easy to use and with still robust financial insight into the health of your projects and campaign. The integration with Quickbooks Online is great, too.

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

While the notifications are robust, they're almost so robust that we end up getting several emails for one thing. We've learned to live with this, though, to ensure everyone who needs to know is in the know. Also wish it had an integrated media planning/buying component.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Project management, integration of our billing, project management tool and timekeeping so we have keen insight into how we should estimate. Great history from both a workflow and financial perspective on jobs. Smarter estimating.

  ### 12. Excellent project management tool for a small agency transitioning to its first PM software

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karli M. K. | Project Manager, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2017

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

The logical structure of projects, jobs, and tasks, helps my team keep track of the many moving parts required to deliver campaigns over several weeks or months.

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

The user interface is a little clunky and it's difficult to use this tool for communication between team members. Better used for project management overall than also a communication tool.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing a complete project and job view across the agency's 6 teams for the first time. Keeping close track of quotes, invoices, and hours spent on projects. Standardizing project workflow and creating an easy historical reference for rework and reorders.

  ### 13. Account Manager for 4+ years, in advertising for 8+

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2018

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

It's an easy to use dashboard, with shortcuts that are extremely convenient

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

you can't enter timesheets for an invoiced job

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

tracking estimated vs actual hours; tracking work history of a project; turnkey project estimating

**Official Response from Levi Wilson:**

> Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us!

  ### 14. Focus on Efficiency and Collaboration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2018

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

I like how easy it is to communicate with my team members and keep track of projects.

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

It can be difficult to search for certain jobs, etc.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving for process and efficiency.

**Official Response from Levi Wilson:**

> Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us!

  ### 15. Function Point delivers as promised.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2018

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

Solid platform, never hangs up or runs slow; easy to use multiple time sheets simultaneously.

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

Almost too many features, sometimes multiple paths to the same destination - this can be confusing.

**Recommendations to others considering Function Point:**

Be patient and regularly review the different features that will be needed less frequently. Insures you don't forget how to use!

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Improved time capture with time sheets; more efficient estimating/invoicing - especially when using prior estimates as templates.

**Official Response from Levi Wilson:**

> We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us!

  ### 16. Great product with a better support team

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2017

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

I've used a lot of the project management tools on the market, but FunctionPoint has by far the best support team. They also release frequent updates that actually incorporate feedback from their users.

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

FunctionPoint offers very robust features, which can be overwhelming to some at first. The workflow is not always intuitive, but I also don't think it's prohibitive.

**Recommendations to others considering Function Point:**

Great tool if you're looking for a one-platform solution for all aspects of project management -- client and job database, schedules and estimates, resource allocation and planning, invoicing, and reports.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use FunctionPoint for day-to-day project and schedule management, birds-eye-view resourcing, and project burn rates. At times, it has not always been the best tool, but recent updates have made resource management a breeze.

  ### 17. Function Point is simple - easy to learn, easy to understand.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2018

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

I like the dashboard and how you can personalize it with features you use most, such as pinned notes.

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

I dislike that you can only input timesheets for the past 2 weeks using the dashboard's timesheet functionality, so I usually have to go into Weekly View.

**Recommendations to others considering Function Point:**

Watch the tutorials.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finance is easy to track and keep on record, as well as processing jobs and organizing creative.

**Official Response from Levi Wilson:**

> We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts with us!

  ### 18. Excellent Project and Time Management tool for agencies

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julia G. | Account Executive / Digital Media Strategist, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2017

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

Function Point has changed the way our agency manages projects, estimates, budgets, timesheets, and internal tasks. The dashboard feature is great for having all your info in one place. The tasking feature has streamlined our workflow and has made it easier for our designers to manage their workload and due dates.

The estimate and budget system is great and has helped manage, track, and forecast financials.

The support we received from FP experts when we first started using it was excellent. They were always willing to hop on the phone to answer any questions or to help us troubleshoot. Customer service is amazing.

User experience is great as well. being able to drag and drop files, quickly export PDFs, integrate with Quickbooks is great.

Coming from what we used in the past, Function Point is everything.

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

The on-boarding process was long and required one person on our team to be the expert in order to teach the rest of the team how to use. It took a while to learn how to use it and to change current processes to fit in with FP. And there are a lot of features that we don't use, but think may be beneficial if we had to time to review.

**Recommendations to others considering Function Point:**

For those interested in moving forward with FP, be sure to assign one person on your team to be the on-boarding expert. Have them learn everything about FP so that the rest of your staff have an internal go-to person for questions.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had an issue with managing tasks for our design team and truly understanding what they had in their pipeline. We looked into a couple different project management softwares and found that FP offered what we needed and more. The ability to manage tasks, projects, budgets, timesheets, invoicing, etc all in once place was a huge benefit.

**Official Response from Levi Wilson:**

> Hi Julia,

Thanks so much for your kind words here! We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts with us.

  ### 19. FunctionPoint's project management software helped increase efficiencies in every day work

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2017

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

I love the notifications that let me know what is due today, along with the reports letting us know what's coming in the next week. This tool allowed us to get a better handle on the workload on each person's plate for any coming week.

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

I'd love to see more customizable notifications for each step of the task management process that we are using. If there could be some kind of checklist functionalities connected to a task, that would be super helpful as well. We turn to an external tool for this piece - a place to store all of the tiny details that are needed to communicate between team members.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Administrative efficiencies have been decreased since using this project. We also are better able to keep track of details of work done, and hours used across an entire project when multiple people are working on it.

  ### 20. Very effective project management system for our marketing agency

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2017

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

The ability to customize everyone's dashboards. The Files system is also very nice in that I've never had an upload problem with it and it's also a great way of finding old files from previous projects.

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

The inability to customize task statuses and interdependencies of tasks, for example if Person 1 doesn't complete Task A, then Person 2 can't begin Task B. Task B should be assigned and available for review by Person 2, but it should be in some kind of "Holding" or "Waiting" status.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using Function Point to manage the day-to-day operations of our creative teams. The benefits we've realized have been that we no longer have to have a full-time person dedicated to traffic management. That role was extended to cover other duties.

  ### 21. Information at Your Fingertips

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2018

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

There are multiple ways to analyze work!

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

Wish there were more options to manage columns.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The entire team is tracking time more accurately as we work toward team efficiency.

**Official Response from Levi Wilson:**

> So glad to hear that the entire team is tracking time more accurately -- we love that! Thanks for sharing your feedback with us!

  ### 22. Easy to use and track my work

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2017

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

I like that i can communicate on projects with the accounts team and upload files for them.

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

I hate that it limits me to 50 mb file size uploads. If anything id love to have a alternative option provided me to share larger files.

**Recommendations to others considering Function Point:**

Set up email alerts to your comfort level, you can end up with a LOT of email notifications, or just specific ones.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has made keeping track of projects way more easier. I know what projects i need to get to and can see them all listed out. I dont lose track of projects.

  ### 23. I find it very quick and easy to record my hours at work

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sam W. | Developer & Digital Marketing Manager, Entertainment, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2017

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

The speed at which I can input my hours for time tracking...The app is great as it allows me to input hours on my phone without having to got to my computer. What’s New with the Function Point App? Tap and Go Time Tracking. With your iPhone you can track your time to your tasks in real-time, by manual entry, or by starting a blank timesheet and filling in the details later. Our App Has You Covered. Any Time. Any Place. Even if you’re working without WiFi or data coverage, you'll never miss a billable moment. Create new timesheets or make changes to past timesheets, and they’ll be ready to sync when you have coverage.

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

At times the user interface seems overwhelming and a little complicated on desktop.

**Recommendations to others considering Function Point:**

If you're an agency I recommend using it.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking our employee's hours on projects. This has enabled us to plan ahead on projects and see the resources we are using. Easy to customize, it lets you quickly and accurately keep track of what matters most to your company. Need to check in on that upcoming task? Notes functionality makes it easy. Need a bird's eye view of tasks and workflow? Dynamic Gantt charts have you covered. Easy to customize, it lets you quickly and accurately keep track of what matters most to your company. **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

I appreciate the dashboard, a one-stop shop for seeing what is on my plate.

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

I do not find FP to be very intuitive. I spend too much time trying to locate information on individual tasks.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Video production is a collaborative venture, FP helps track the project through completion

**Official Response from Levi Wilson:**

> We appreciate you sharing your thoughts with us!

**Official Response from Levi Wilson:**

> We appreciate you sharing your feedback with us!

  ### 26. The best customer support.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2018

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

I love that whenever I don't know how to get the results I need out of FP, customer support is there for me!

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

I don't like how the How-To diagrams contain outdated pictures. It can be hard to follow.

**Recommendations to others considering Function Point:**

N/A

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking all expenses against individual jobs is easy to do and pulling accurate reports has helped us to track profitability of each job/campaign better and easier than ever before.

**Official Response from Levi Wilson:**

> Thanks for sharing your feedback with us. We really appreciate it!

  ### 27. Function Point Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Larissa F. | Marketing Assistant, Non-Profit Organization Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2017

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

I like how everything is in one place and you can attach multiple files for reference for specific jobs

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

It can be a bit overwhelming when there are multiple jobs submitted at once, i.e. we have 20+ jobs due to an upcoming event. Different titles help some but a search option would make things easier.

**Recommendations to others considering Function Point:**

Definitely be sure to give your jobs specific names and a year so they are easier to keep track of, both so you can follow up on status and so your team can see what jobs are in progress or completed.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a team, having everything in once place has helped us keep track of what has been submitted, what still needs to be submitted, and what tasks/jobs are complete. It makes going through our checklist much easier and prepares us better for events.

**Official Response from Levi Wilson:**

> Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us, Larissa!

  ### 28. A necessary evil

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kyle E. | créatif, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2017

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

It's got a pretty slick layout. It's easy to learn, the timer feature is my best friend, one that helped me stop estimating my time based on a conversation or email and instead entering more precise estimates.

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

It doesn't have an auto entry feature when using a docket continuously. I wish it kept a bank of phrases and common entries so it could be as easy as point and click.

**Recommendations to others considering Function Point:**

Get used to opening up an entire weekly view when entering hours. It makes for a much easier larger screen experience.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We bill our hours very accurately now.

  ### 29. Function Point Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2018

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

That I can easily keep track of the changes that I make to estimates/jobs

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

Unintuitive search functions that make it complicated to find docs from the past.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping track of jobs/estimates/projects. We can easily understand how we have evolved over the years by going back and seeing how these docs from the past compare to today's.

**Official Response from Levi Wilson:**

> We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us!

  ### 30. Function Point is part of my daily tool kit for managing projects.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2017

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

Dashboard summary of my active projects.
Breadth of project reports that I can output.
User friendly 'Estimate' setup.
Docket 'Financials' tab - clean dashboard where I'm able to quickly access pertinent project details i.e. real time progress on tasked hours, spend to-date & invoicing to date.
Project invoicing.

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

Adding 'Schedule' i.e. 'Old Edit View' vs. 'Grid View' (tasks) is a little clunky and repetitive. Not the cleanest interface.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Project estimating and billing. How integrated and dynamic the interface is.

  ### 31. Time tracking made not so bad

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin M. | Art Director, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2017

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

I like the ability to add time from a weekly view. I don't alway remember to start the timer, but this view allows me to add time easy and include some quick notes.

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

I don't like how I have to login everytime. I click the 'keep me logged in' radio button–but I'm always logged out.

**Recommendations to others considering Function Point:**

We should isolate time tracking to the day only.
I often forget to track for the entire day, and it's overwhelming to see the entire week empty.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem remains the same. Tracking hours so our clients know what we're doing.

  ### 32. Very good option for "soup to nuts" project management software

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wyatt R. | Art Director, Partner, Graphic Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2017

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

The multiple quick ways to search data and find your way in the software is a huge help. This software is very robust and helps everyone see whats going on.

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

The project scheduling is a bit clunky and the collaboration tools are not as intuitive as desired. I also find the batch invoice process to be a bit buggy from time to time. I believe this has to do with the invoice numbering.

**Recommendations to others considering Function Point:**

I would recommend to people considering this software to make a list of your top requirements and see if Function Point checks those off your list. If so, just get started with the software on those few things; eg. use it for the estimating and invoicing features and start exploring some of the added features as needed. You will stay on track that way.. This is very full featured software and can be overwhelming but don't feel like you have to use every feature.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This software solves the problem of connecting my estimating and project planning work with my final invoices. The benefit of having a strong tool that allows for customization is key to my business.

**Official Response from Levi Wilson:**

> Hi Wyatt, thanks for sharing your feedback with us, and also your great recommendation for how to get started with Function Point!

  ### 33. Great project management software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan W. | Web Developer, Project Manager, and Copywriter, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2017

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

At my old job, we used a paper system with folders and baskets. Things got lost, designers were confused, and it was a terrible system. When I started my job, we had Function Point, and I was amazed at how much easier it was than the folder system. It keeps everything organized and makes it so easy to use tasks.

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

The only thing I dislike is that I have more work to do since it's easier to people to assign me tasks!

**Recommendations to others considering Function Point:**

Get it!

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We get more work done more quickly, and with fewer mistakes. It's so easy to go back and find stuff when a client asks for something from a few years ago. I love having everything in one place.

  ### 34. Function point is great if you are willing to spend the time to use it.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren B. | Account Director, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2017

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

I like that function point is easy to use and everyone at the company is great. They are willing to take feedback and work to make a better product.

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

Sometimes the product is so new that not all the functionality is there that I need.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me, its great to track project schedules, financials and updates.

  ### 35. Good agency mgmt platform

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julia M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2018

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

Opening jobs and estimating is easy. Also it is easy to set up a new client.

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

I find reporting / report generating to be confusing and not as robust as I hoped. It's too hard to generate a simple status report.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping jobs on budget.

**Official Response from Levi Wilson:**

> Thanks for your thoughts, Julia. We'd love to hear more of your feedback on reporting. You can submit your ideas here: functionpoint.ideas.aha.io

  ### 36. Client Services/Account Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2017

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

Being able to track all ongoing projects; effectively build estimates and IOs in one place; and manage/oversee the number of hours per project

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

Having to input all of a new contact person's information prior to building out an estimate. Would prefer that this occurred in one step.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has helped us better manage the number of hours we put towards one particular project; and therefore, stay on time and on budget.

  ### 37. Great management tools for agencies

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richard S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2017

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

Easy to know exactly where you stand on a job or project

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

Reports can be a little hard to organize. Not as intuitive as they could be.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Budgeting, billing, efficiency, tracking, communications with clients and staff memebers

  ### 38. Effective Task Management and Time Tracking

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James H. | Senior Writer, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2017

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

I like the at-a-glance dashboard, the ease of use and the ability to search and find past tasks.

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

Time tracking is not super-intuitive. A couple of my colleagues had issues with it.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I juggle a lot of jobs, and Function Point allows me to prioritize quickly and easily.

  ### 39. Incredible insight into job profitability

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2017

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

My favorite features are the profitability snapshot FP offers on a job and project level so we can better track the health of our jobs and projects. I also love the modular estimating feature because it radically streamlines the estimating process and with one click, we can generate and send an invoice to the client. And the ability for FP to seamlessly link with QuickBooks is invaluable and eliminates a lot of redundancies in our accounting department.

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

It took my team a while to get used to the busy interface and the many layers of information on any one job. These many layers make FP the not-ideal solution for managing everyday workflow for a high volume of jobs. It also doesn't offer a whole lot of customization in terms of how you can view information. However, overall, the switch to FP has been overwhelmingly positive after my team has gotten through the first 6 months of using it and really being able to explore and see all the reporting it provides and realizing how much it's streamlined the client billing process.

**Recommendations to others considering Function Point:**

Do the on-site training even though it's more expensive because the hands-on access to the trainer proved to be imperative to our 30-person team being able to get up and running with this in under 30 days.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The monthly invoicing process has become FAR more streamlined has been incredibly useful in managing client profitability. The Accounting department and the Accounts department are now able to communicate and operate within one program which has allowed us to go totally paperless with our invoicing and billing. And once we figured out the best way to structure how projects and jobs are opened, being able to print a customized project or job list is also tremendously helpful in being able to assign priority to jobs.

  ### 40. Digital Asset Mgr

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 15, 2017

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

Request templates, connecting to email on jobs for centralized notes

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

More "stuff" than is needed for internal agencies and no easy way to hide.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Staff and workload balancing, centralized job history, task management.
Able to report out to senior mgt workload increase, jobs year over year, when additional staff is needed.

  ### 41. As a designer, I have access to a fairly imited portion of FP but it suits my needs really well.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2017

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

I like that I can see a more overarching snapshot of a project rather than just design. I also like the ease of adding and being reimbursed for expenses compared to how we used to do it.

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

Being on the design end and not having access to everything on FP, I rely quite heavily on the to-do tasks. I feel like the t-do tasks are only used sporadically depending on the Account Manager. I guess I would like to see it be more of an integral part of creating a new project.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been viewing each design project from a more wholistic view by being able to have some insight on the other elements to each project. Prior to FP I was only really aware of my task and budget, whereas I prefer to see where my work fits in to th bigger project.

  ### 42. Useful and necessary for the day-to-day work but not users-friendly

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2017

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

Invoicing functionality
Tracking time on projects
Ease of updating timesheets

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

Creating estimates and schedules. I think the process is longer than it needs to be and its not intuitive when I'm setting up a project.

**Recommendations to others considering Function Point:**

Very useful, excellent for budgeting but there is a learning curve for how to use.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing projects and billing.

  ### 43. Functionally Uninspiring

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicole M. | Head of Advertising, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2017

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

Time keeping validates how I spend my time researching and working.

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

Timekeeping :-( it's always going to take time so it feels tedious... Not in sync with the creative process and flow.

**Recommendations to others considering Function Point:**

Better understanding of creative studios to integrate software with the way we work. So it's not an additional 'job' to track time.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The creative department tracks time for billing/estimating purposes. management uses it to see if we are efficient - read: actually working.

  ### 44. Excellent experience with software and reps

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alelie H. | Project Manager, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2017

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

FP allows me to be easily organized with all my clients- from proposals to invoicing, everything is there under their name. I can easily refer back to the net cost in the proposal and calculate our PNL quicker than ever.

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

The last project management software that this company used was fully customizable so that it fit our brand and look. Although our company name is at the top of FP, I miss the additional customizable options.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Invoicing and transferring it via Quickbooks. I can create the invoice and send it to QB for easy payments from the clients.

  ### 45. Much easier to use than others

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer S. | Managing Director & Founder, Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2017

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

I like the control you have of a team and their tasks - you can plan their day and know when do get in extra resources.

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

I really dislike how you can't copy information from an email and put straight into a FP task. so time consuming and un necessary :(
I find the financials not clear i.e. maybe Im missing something but the graphs are easy but the figure are not easy to understand.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As above - transparency with team and what they are working on. When I need to get extra resources in.

  ### 46. Good System but not always flexible for small businesses.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2017

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

It is very easy to make tasks and see the workflow.

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

Reporting is not always customizable in a way that works for small businesses.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeps us on track and now that our developers have adopted it as their daily driver, things have been running much more smoothly.

  ### 47. Function Point review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dave R. | Director of Design, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2017

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

Weekly view and option to add hours after

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

I feel that this time tracker is a bit useless for my needs

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mainly keeping track of dockets and hours.

  ### 48. Robust and Thorough, but Needs Better UI and More Functionality

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2017

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

My favorite part about FP is how thorough it is in addressing all activities of my agency, my employees and my clients.

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

The user experience can be significantly improved. Sometimes things take 4-5 clicks when they should take 1-2. The time tracking for example is very clumsy.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Resourcing
Time Tracking
Task Management

  ### 49. Function Point Makes Time Sheets Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Graphic Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2017

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

Very easy to track time and monitor budgets.

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

Well, I'm not a huge fan of filling out time sheets in general but Function Point makes it easy.

**Recommendations to others considering Function Point:**

Super easy time management tool.

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Entering estimates into our projects so that all team members can watch the budget as the job progresses and make sure we are staying within it.

  ### 50. Great Out of the Box Marketing Agency Tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2016

**What do you like best about Function Point?**

My favorite feature of FunctionPoint would have to be the resource allocation report. Being able to see what is on the creative team's plate at a glance and adjust on the fly is an incredibly powerful tool that has allowed us to be able to take on a higher volume of work with the same amount of staff. It has also allowed our internal traffic to be done by more than one person without stepping on each other's toes because we can see in real time who is assigned to what.

I also really like the reports where we can pull hours on clients and see how it breaks down and the calendar filters where we can see what is on the schedule overall or by client.

We've been using FunctionPoint for over a year and there have been multiple updates to improve and add features to the product. I have participated in feedback groups several times and appreciate being part of the process to improve FP!

**What do you dislike about Function Point?**

I dislike some of the system limitations. For example, tasks can be scheduled on days where there is no time available, you cannot set up dependent tasks (a task that is automatically assigned upon the completion of another task), you cannot have more than one AE (or internal contact) added to a company. The good news is, I know several of these features are in development, but I don't know when they will be deployed.

I also do not like how support tickets need to be started via a form. Every time I call the support line I have to leave a message and be called back later. If I have a minor issue, I don't mind waiting, but if there is an issue that is preventing my team from working, I want an option where I can contact someone immediately to resolve the issue.

**Recommendations to others considering Function Point:**

FunctionPoint is relatively easy to set up and implement. There is a bit of a learning curve to get your team up to speed on how to properly use all system features. I started basic and trained everyone on job entry and time tracking and then emphasized other features later (reporting, notes, calendar filters, etc.).

**What problems is Function Point solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FunctionPoint combines together items that we previously used in separate tools. Integrating time tracking, project management and client management into a single tool has eliminated redundant work and improved our internal processes.

With FunctionPoint we are able to see what work we have in progress and what we have done in the past for clients in a way that we were not able to before.
