**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2020

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Its interface contains a variety of administrative tools and resources, built using verifiable methods of professional management creation, formed by active mechanisms of operational follow-up, with collaborative skills that rationally distribute the management of the company's resources through its impeccable programming of efficient analytical projection of adaptable results, which has numerous guidelines that forge corporate project development.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

An error in its management performance support involves a method tracking problem, where the system fails to adhere to the guidelines established to create a flawless work affinity. This makes it more challenging to achieve the best results for the company, thereby hindering the attainment of the most favorable work management capability for the organization and limiting the development of a programmatic project guarantee index.

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Freedcamp is easy to use and a game changer for my company. It has amazing use cases and is very logical to use. My team was hesitant when we first started using it but now they would not give it up for anything. On the rare occasion we need help from support, they are professional and efficient.

The price, the free version is very good and if you require something more, the plans are very affordable.

I think you can improve the design and make it a bit more user-friendly.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

Yes

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Task management

  ### 5. Super Functional

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2020

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Super intuitive and practical to use, it makes everything more agile in my work. It immensely aids in interaction with the team, as well as facilitates my task organization, I love this convenience! Due to its practicality, I made a tutorial to present Freedcamp to the teams of my 2 jobs.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Up to the present moment, I have only positive points about the tool's usability.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

I recommend, I recently recommended to my new boss

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it for task assignment and find it very practical because it generates reports of everything the team has produced, and most interestingly, it sends alerts when something is approaching deadlines.

  ### 6. Very useful, convenient tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Policy | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2020

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

The ability to organize tasks into projects, lists, tasks, sub-tasks

I like calendar feature.

The ability to email a task in

priority labels

project start date

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Nothing, all good. Can't think of anything

I didn't like the phone app very much, but i don't have any specific reason, i don't remember. I just use the web desktop version

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I get less overwhelmed with my to do lists, they become more doable

It's also easy to present a project plan to a coworker

  ### 7. Gina's Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2020

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

I like that you can see your tasks in so many ways, calendar, to do list, weekly. And it's easy to add sub-tasks and add deadlines for them. I also like that you can create a template for future projects. Thanks!

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

I would like more color, more backgrounds, more fun fonts.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

More backgrounds and colors, and fonts. Also more tutorials.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's organizing my projects and without this, I'd be in trouble.

  ### 8. Excellent Resource to Keep Teams on Track

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cheryl M. | Executive Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

For each event or project we all know what needs to be done and progress made along the way. If someone is out of the office for a period of time, deadlines won't be missed because others can jump in and complete the task.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

It would be nice if within an event there was a better way to mass-edit. For example, if we change a date, I would like to edit all tasks in a chart instead of going into each task individually.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tasks aren't forgotten, teamwork is improved becuase we all know progress of tasks within an event and can help each other if needed. Stress is reduced becuase we know we won't forget to do something for an event.

  ### 9. Clean & simply project management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Sports | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2020

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

The system is incredibly easy to use. I have been using it for several years and they have been making consistent and impressive updates over that time.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

I only wish you could "hide" certain tasks from other users assigned to a project

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping keep track of onboarding details

  ### 10. Freedcamp software review.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Reagan A. | Employee, Airlines/Aviation, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

The interface is really nice, and it's very intuitive. You have have lists or kanban boards for tasks, and subtasks too. The projects are colour coded and it's easy to navigate them.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Saving images uploaded by collaborators or even myself is always difficult using the phone app but all other features are pretty awesome.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

This is a great for collaborating with other members as it's very simple to invite external users to your projects to work together. I'd like to recommend this software to other companies.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This software saves me time when doing my monthly timesheets and reports. It has helped me to better organize my work life, and my home life. It also makes people work collaboratively and has a notification whereby it's easier to send and receive emails. Freedcamp has instant synchronization with Google Calendar and now they added the integration feature.

  ### 11. Seemed like it took more time to login in and find things than it would to just send an email.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Keeps everything together in one place. Everyone can join in on the projects.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Could pretty much do everything in here that you can accomplish via email.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

Give it a shot. May be a great option for certain companies.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We worked on projects through Freedcamp. It was somewhat helpful, but also just felt like another app to check everyday.

  ### 12. Easy Project Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matteo G. | Digital Marketing Specialist, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2019

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Easy to use, the interface is really intuitive.
The different packs allow you to only buy and pay for the features you really need, but even the free plan provides enought tools to manage a project properly

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

The mobile apps can be improved, but apart from this there are not really cons to highlight.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

Try out the free version first, and then upgrade you plan as needed.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've used FreedCamp as a project management tool to help me keeping track of the progress and the various objectives together with my team.

  ### 13. Freedcamp - maybe the best project management software you can use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lukáš B. | Freelance, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Apps for Mac or PC and mobile, easy to learn, unlimited projects in free version, calendar view

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

No option to delagate the task on two or more different people

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

setup one easy project in it and try to use all of the functions as you would use when as the real project. then decide whether it has met all of your requierements.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

managing easier projects with many co-workers, I can instantly view the progress of certain tasks

  ### 14. Improvement in the organization and structuring of tasks and group projects

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elvis R. | Project Delivery Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

When you want to make a new project you have the option to divide it into groups of tasks. This option that allows Freedcamp is quite useful, since this way you can separate the objectives and sort them better.

The task page is also quite useful, since you can write the notes you want to keep important information or so that other members of the group can see project data. At the same time, this task page also has highlighted red labels that allow you to see the deadlines of the different projects, see when they are going to finish. This allows us to have more control over deadlines and delivery dates and to know which ones are closest and where we have to work more.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

I would like you to add the option of a maximum time, since you have to press the stop button so that time stops and sometimes you do not realize it and you press it. It would be more efficient if they put a time limit and so the timer stops if it arrives at a specific time, since many times I do not know how much time I have invested in a task.

The Android application has improved lately, but I think they could optimize it even more so that it would be easier to navigate and access the time tracking in a simpler way.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

Reviewing tasks, managing project information and monitoring the time spent on each project are the tasks I do most frequently in Freedcamp. In our company has increased the efficiency of teamwork, so I think it is an interesting option for companies that need to have more control and better coordinate their projects.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The hour reports and the monthly reports are made in a simple way in Freedcamp. This has allowed us to better invest our time and have more information.

We have more control over tasks, projects and in general about the distribution of teamwork. By using the system of notes, labels and review the monitoring of time we have managed to coordinate improve and see how much time we spend on each task, which task is more complex and how to better divide the time of each team member.

  ### 15. Great Project Management Software!!!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2019

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

The balance between pricing and functionality! I have used it for almost a year with Internal Projects! and it has been a valuable tool to get things done!

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

I would like to have more functionalities in the mobile app, like access to files, discussion, bugs, etc.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Transparency in Project Management Reports, Follow-up on tasks and centralized access to information.

  ### 16. Rough Start but Now Easy to Use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angela B. | Owner/Makeup Artist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2019

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

I like that there are several levels of membership (freemium to enterprise) and none of them are terribly expensive. I can create as many projects as I like and invite team members and collaborators. When I have needed to switch my membership levels to change with my company it is easy and immediate. I have had some hiccups when first implementing it as they don't have any ready made templates, and I had to train my staff on how to use it as well. Now that I know what I am doing with it - I use it constantly.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

I wish that email integration was easier. You can email into a project - but you have to have a specific email for each project and they are just long and weird - so I rarely use it.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

I think with any project management platform there is going to be a learning curve. They don't have templates really for you to go by which makes this a little longer of a learning curve - but there is plenty of documentation. Just don't be too impatient!

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed a platform to manage several projects with different team players without have to get a second mortgage. I also needed something that could be used for a wide variety of projects ( from video to webdesign) and this has done very well.

  ### 17. Freedcamp has made project management so much easier

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2019

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

After testing dozens of project management software, finding Freedcamp was like finding the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. All of the other software we tested had some things that we liked and other things that we needed were missing. But Freedcamp has everything my agency needed. It is extremely user friendly so that even our less tech-savvy employees are able to easily use it. We also really like how you can share some aspects of a project with people while having the ability to not share all aspects of that project with them.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

The only thing that I dislike about Freedcamp is that it does not provide a Gantt chart.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

Test out other similar products to determine the best fit. There are a myriad of similar project management software tools out there, it is a matter of finding what is the best fit for your organization.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using Freedcamp to ensure that all areas of a project are being attended to properly and within a reasonable timeframe. Before using a project management software, our agency found that as projects kept getting added to people's plates, things were getting lost and forgotten about without a proper way to keep everything organized.

**Official Response from Igor Kryltsov:**

> Hi,

Thanks for your review. We do provide the Gantt functionality on our Business and Enterprise plans. Please see our pricing page https://freedcamp.com/pricing for a detailed plans comparison.

Regards,
Igor

  ### 18. task management tool

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

A great way to assign and manage tasks for a team over the course of a week or so.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

It doesn't refresh automatically to show you updates in real time by other users on your team.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

How to let team members know what they are responsible for and what they need to get done while they are at work. Communicates to the manager when these tasks are complete.

  ### 19. Project management tool that has simplified my daily tasks

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Easy to use, easy to organize into categories, recurring task options

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

completed tasks don't go away once checked off.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Freedcamp reminds me of my daily tasks. It allows me to set up recurring tasks to keep me on track.

  ### 20. Great Features at the Free Level

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Casira C. | Social Media & Content Strategist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2019

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

I like the Task Lists feature and the way it allows me to organize responsibilities based on priority level, as well as delegate to different individuals on my team. I also appreciate the file system and the calendar.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

The mobile app does not access most of the features of the web version, but it's useful in a pinch when I can't get to my computer. Although it doesn't always open when I need it to. Occasionally I will have to close and reopen because the app gets stuck on the logo screen.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

There are no drawbacks to testing out the product. I was surprised by how well it met my needs and the amount of features it provides for free. I'm considering upgrading to the paid version in a few months time.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's great for time-management and consolidating all of my project pieces into one convenient place. As a freelancer, it helps a great deal in directing clients to specific tasks and keeping project management in everyone's field of vision.

  ### 21. Great Project Management Solution!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Micheal P. | General Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 31, 2019

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Freedcamp is very easy to use, you can jump right in to it and start using it because it is so intuitive. If you do need help they have

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Nothing really to dislike, everything is put together nicely.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

It is worth the effort of switching!

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Total project management solution in one place.

  ### 22. Great project management app

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Civic & Social Organization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

It's a great program that allows us to work together effectively as a team. It's also simple to use, so I find myself using it for my own tasks, not just our team projects.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

It's still a newer program, so it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of some of its competitors yet.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We started using Freedcamp because tasks were falling through the cracks and some of our team was overworked while others were underutilized. Freedcamp has helped us keep track of all our tasks and better distribute workloads.

  ### 23. Taking care of business!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aimee K. | Free Agent, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2018

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

I can't believe this is FREE! Freedcamp is a great way for "solopreneurs" like me to organize their business - offering all the features I need and none I don't. Since I work alone, I don't need all the sharing tools that dominate the UX of many other PM tools. I'm sure you CAN set Freedcamp up to do those things, but I love that I was able to easily set up all my clients and all my projects easily and see them from a calendar view or any other view I need. I also like that it sends me a snapshot of my day each morning.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

So far, the only thing I don't like is that I can only mark tasks open or closed - there's no "in progress" option. But that's the only thing!

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

While I'm sure this would work for teams as well, it works so especially well for me as a single consultant. It's a fantastic tool to organize your work - slick and easy to use, without trying to hard to be "cool." Definitely look at the other tools out there, but don't underestimate this one just because it's free! It's powerful and has great features!

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a marketing consultant with several clients, Freedcamp helps me organize my work and stay on top of all my clients, projects and tasks. It does this neatly and easily, with an intuitive, easy-to-use interface. I still can't believe it's free. It works so well for me!

  ### 24. Everything is great with Freedcamp!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** ahmed w. | Utilities Customer Service Representative, Professional Training & Coaching, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2018

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

I can pay only for things I need and I want to use and I don’t have to spend hundreds of dollars for things I don’t need.I love the ability to track my own projects in real time and to stay on track.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

It would be great if they could make an integration with Google Docs. I don’t have other dislikes about the software.!

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

i recommend it,you must try it!

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to keep my projects on track, to manage the interaction with my client and to keep everything in order.!

  ### 25. Our daily tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Isaura S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Freedcamp have all what we need as a team: is free, have time-tracking, is easy to use, can manage tasks and sub-tasks, has a great UX/UI...

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

There is nothing relevant about Freedcamp that I dislike... Sometimes I left the time-tracking on and the day after, when I realise it, is quite frustrating. It would be useful that when you close the navigator window a popup will show up with your current time-tracking activated.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

Great tool for project and team management! There is space for some improvements, but for what we need Freedcamp is really ok.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time-tracking
Tasks
Deadlines
Calendar
Discussions
Team management and project achievements

  ### 26. User Friendly and Efficient

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessie P. | Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2018

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

I love that even with multiple separate projects going at once, there's no losing track of where you are. each project is contained but it's so easy to navigate between them while working, which is great because at our small nonprofit we are always multitasking! I think my favorite element, though, is the file share ability within discussions.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

I would like to have a desktop notification, like a sticky note or list with my upcoming tasks so that I see it first thing when I boot up. So far I don't think Freedcamp has that ability that I'm aware of.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

I can't speak highly enough of this platform. It has revolutionized the way our nonprofit handles project & program management, from marketing to internal office tasks, to intern management and more. It's easy to learn and use, even for those who may not have an interest or much experience with technology.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is SO MUCH EASIER than sending endless emails back and forth between project members to view files; Freedcamp has totally changed the way we communicate within project groups, and it's especially awesome when working with satellite employees. It saves us huge amounts of time, and makes projects go faster and easier. This translates to money saved since employees aren't spending unnecessary time on project management that's not efficient.

  ### 27. Love Freedcamp - Game changer!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2018

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

So easy and intuitive to use. Let's me keep all project files in one place, along with a calendar of milestones. Helps keep me in track.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Um, a cleaner more modern interface would be nice.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

For a free service, you really can't beat it. I'd love to be able to afford Basecamp, but it's way out of our price range. Freedcamp is a great alternative.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keep up with multiple projects that are running at the same time.

  ### 28. Freedcamp- A Helpful Tool for a Small Non-Profit

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2018

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

The ease of adding collaborators, making projects, and getting work done. Also, the clean interface, good mobile app, and the cost is very inexpensive for the powerful tool you receive.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

I don't like that I can't make repeating tasks with due dates but I am told that feature will be added soon. Also, dislike that you can't really customize the homepage.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

If you have small organization with not super tech-savvy coworkers, Freedcamp is a great option cost-effective option. The free version is good but the Lite version is had some very useful features that are worth the money.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My job requires me to manage admin needs for several very different people and projects. Freedcamp helps me easily organize and assign myself and others the tasks needed to make projects happen, increasing productivity and communication.

  ### 29. One of the best tool for people having a study.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rommel L. | Junior Software Developer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2018

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

I liked it best about their real time, you know, feel real time feel of the overall system.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

well the interface somehow needs more color.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

To the people having the most difficult projects, to the people having more than one project, to the people who are not that good with memorizing, this system is made for you, I mean for us I am part of the people who really needs this for this helps me keep track of the things that are needed to be done, from the lowest priority level to the highest priority level. You can also collaborate with your team, give them task so you can as well keep track of their progress. Imagine you are doing your project and as well memorizing the next task or might use a sticky note on your computer just not to forgot it, that's kinda stressful! This system removes that stressful remark! Use this since this is free.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Freedcamp helped me keep track of the things that are needed to be done. Makes me remember the things that should be done next. Its general use is for project management where I, to be honest, really need this system for I have a lot of projects from different departments. With this system I am able to comply the most or highest priority task to be done. With this system you will not need to memorize the things you have to do next. Well that's a plus!

  ### 30. Great project managment tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Graphic Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2018

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

The robustness of the tool, there's tons of scope for good project tracking.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Some of the UI features aren't 100% intuitive, and take some learning.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

Take the time to do a deep dive to really learn all the features.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Project management and time tracking

  ### 31. Easy Project Management System

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2018

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

We tried so many (free) systems before settling on this one. Freedcamp makes it easy to manage deadlines, tasks, and loop in the appropriate staff members.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Sometimes you’ll get 100 emails a day just notifying you of simple updates to ongoing projects.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It keeps everyone looped in when lots of projects are happening at once. Makes it easier to meet deadlines

  ### 32. Get organized ! Track projects!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Environmental Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 22, 2018

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

The tiered approach to project management and multiple views that it offers including the calendar format.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Nothing yet. It is difficult to remember to setup tasks and projects. The use of the this software is something that you have to remember to check everyday. It does send reminders via email. Until I found them in my junk mail I didn't know they were being sent though.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were missing deadlines when multiple people were involved particularly with meeting planning. This allows us to enter Projects with subtasks and assign tasks to different people and apply due dates. Each person involved can update their tasks and enter notes.

  ### 33. Great for Small Projects

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wissam Y. | E-commerce Developer and Manager, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 19, 2017

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Well for starters it is free for unlimited users and projects (limited to 10MB file size limit) and the paid versions are affordable. The project planning and collaboration is easy with a nice interface and drag and drop features. Creating new tasks is fast and updating task stages and assigning them is a breeze. It makes communication easy and tasks are well organized. I been using this for a while and it didn't disappoint

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Some limitations like moving tasks between projects and the fact that there is no mobile app. It is also kinda complicated to rename files and folders Would be nice to have a Gantt Chart too. I don't like the fact that it has no mobile application, that would be great to communicate and manage tasks straight from the mobile.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

Go Ahead you won't regret it for managing small projects. It is easy to use and creating tasks is fast and user friendly. Alerts and notifications are great and assigning roles and task won't be a problem. If you are looking for something free and affordable this is the task management software for you.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We improved the overall collaboration with team members for small projects. Helps get details and tasks organized to simply the way we look at projects and progress. The time tracking feature also help you hold your staff accountable for delays . Freedcamp helped fix our communication gap between project managers and employees.

  ### 34. Great help with managing your day

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ekaterina C. | Business Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2017

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Freedcamp software will help you a lot with managing your tasks when you are responsible for multiple ongoing projects. You can organize your tasks and subtasks within the project, set up due dates, reminders, milestones and track status. The tool also provides multiple dashboards so that you can view your ongoing tasks day-by-day. The tool will definitely satisfy all your project management needs and make your daily work much more organized and manageable.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

The tool provides everything you need to manage your ongoing projects much more efficient. I like everything this tool has to offer. Perhaps, if your role is a project manager, you may need more comprehensive PM tool but I feel completely satisfied with its functionality.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed a simple and easy-to-use project management tool that would help me to manage multiple projects and related tasks on a day-to-day basis. Freedcamp served me well so that my work realted tasks became much more organized

  ### 35. Best project management tool around!

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Professional Training & Coaching | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2018

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

The company mission is what pulled me in, but the ease of use is what keeps me!

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Short learning curve and I can add team members easily.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

Use it!

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organization and communication.

  ### 36. Great introduction to project management

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael W. | Instructional Designer III, Higher Education, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2017

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Above everything else, the price when combined with features like the Kanban can't be beat. Many project management programs we looked at were simply too complex or too expensive for the smaller scale projects we manage.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Personally, I am not a huge fan of the wall feature. I have other programs I use for communication outside of Freedcamp and would like to be able to integrate those into the space.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We work on small projects that often involve two or three people. Ultimately we were looking for a program that would allow us to collaborate with each other from a distance. This allowed us to do so.

  ### 37. Powerful, affordable, full-featured and flexible project management with CRM-like features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim C. | President, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Excellent project management capabilities
Adequate bug tracking tools
VERY fair and affordable pricing
Actively works on releasing new features
Excellent customer support

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Nothing, really
If anything, I'd like them to add a few more features, especially the ability to copy and paste and move tasks between projects

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We manage all of our client work as projects in Freedcamp
We also use it to plan and manage our own internal work and processes

  ### 38. Great collaboration tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeffrey S. | Salesforce Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2017

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Being able to collaborate with people inside and outside of your organization.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Changes that are made are not always clean. Some bold test or highlighting of the change could really help.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

Give is a shot for a week to see how you like it.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

External communication and project management requests.

  ### 39. Awesome product

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2018

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Different collaboration methods from other project management software out their.

How you can break down step by step what is needed

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

That you Can only assign one person to a task

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Event planning

  ### 40. Useful

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2017

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Well to start off it is free! It has a great drag and drop feature.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

I don’t like that it doesn’t have a mobile app. I found it rather difficult to change names of files.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

Well it is free. If you’re trying to do small projects go for it. It’s easy and simple enough.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps me to stay organized and complete tasks with my team. Which is very important when working with youth.

  ### 41. Best tool (for the price) for managing projects with remote teams

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 25, 2017

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Freedcamp gives me the ability to communicate tasks and updates with the geographically remote members of my teams. A definite boost to efficiency and growth of the team.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Not a lot to dislike about Freedcamp. The requirements I have for my projects are not really that complex. Assigning tasks, tracking follow-up, and communication are all done really well.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

Freedcamp provides a history of task assignments and to-do lists. You can also assign recurring. If you have remote teams and want to leverage technology to manage the team and the project, Freedcamp is the way to go. The basic system is free but there are plenty of add-ons (free and paid) if you need more features.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My projects require people resources that are spread out all over the world. Different time zones and obviously different locations can make it difficult to coordinate the various activities. Freedcamp takes this challenge away.

  ### 42. Convenient but could use some work.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michelle A. | Project Manager / Designer, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2016

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

I love that I can have all the tasks that need to be done in one spot so I don't have to look over a bunch of lists all over my desk. It is also nice that I can control the views, so I can see what is assigned to each person or a view of the due dates. It is really easy to go in and change dates and add in comments as well. This software is really easy to collaborate with others on as well.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

I wish that you could assign a project/task to multiple people, right now you have to pick one person. I also wish that it was easier for me to be added to other freedcamp projects but that very well could be just the way our office has it set up.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am trying to solve the problem of managing multiple clients with multiple high priority projects, and this makes it really organized and a good way to split up tasks. Some of the benefits I have realized so far is the ease of use, I came from a completely different department with interest in account management and freedcamp made it super easy to catch right on.

  ### 43. Freedcamp Experience

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2017

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

The project management system, Freedcamp has a lot of great aspects. One would be the user friendliness. It has such an easy way to set up projects and move them from - "No Progress", "In Progress", and "Completed" This aspect makes it easy to see where you are with each project. You can also place due dates and assign each assignment to an individual on your team.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

I dislike the fact that there is very little customization. This is an assignment manager and does not necessarily work well for a company with a lot of clients. It begins to get long and overwhelming. Hard to keep up with.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

This would work best if you have a single or only a few services. Also, if you have fewer clients.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solved Project Management for one of our individual departments. The ease of use and ease to see where you are in each project is really not comparable.

  ### 44. The best project management software!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erin F. | CEO + Digital Strategist, E-Learning, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2016

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

I've used a lot of different project management systems, and Freedcamp is by far my favorite. The reasons I like Freedcamp so much are, 1) you only pay for what you need. You're not spending $50/month on features that you don't even use. 2) The interface is clean and intuitive for my clients. Even clients who are not very tech-savvy find it easy to use. 3) The branding doesn't stand out and conflict with my own, like so many other PMS. It's very clean and feels almost "white label".

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

The documentation is good, but not great. I feel like I've had to figure some things like integrations out on my own.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

Give it a try! I recommend Freedcamp to other web designers all the time. It's easy to use, and many times, the free version is enough, so you can save a lot of money, and get your projects organized.
The only thing I would recommend is creating a short video on how to use Freedcamp for your clients, so that those who are not tech savvy understand how to use it, and stop emailing you all the time.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Freedcamp helps me keep projects on track, manage client communication, and keep everything organized. My clients know what I need from them and when, and are kept informed of the project's progress when i simply check off a task. Very helpful, and emails are no longer necessary.

  ### 45. Useful but Awkward

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicole N. | Program Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2017

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

I appreciate that it is a platform that lets you gather people across different spaces without needing to provide access to private servers.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

The interface can be a bit awkward and if the only person granting permissions leaves the project, you've got no recourse/no way to interact with the other people on tasks.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

Make sure you have multiple full-access admins.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Multi-company design projects, with set milestones and reminders.

  ### 46. Freedcamp is an excellent way to manage work for teams.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joshua G. | Contemporary Worship Leader, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2016

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

I like having the ability to quickly create and assign tasks and to see what has been completed each day by various members of the team. I also like that I get daily emails with a recap of everything that was completed throughout the day.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

I would like to be able to easily create workflows so that when a portion of the task is completed it is automatically assigned to someone else to complete the next steps. If there is a way to do this, it is not easily found within the software.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

Think outside the box for ways that you can utilize the tools within Freedcamp for everyday life. From organizing a trip to managing employees halfway around the world, Freedcamp is a valuable tool.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I found that assigning and managing work for my team could be very time-consuming and I could quickly lose track of what was being completed. With Freedcamp it is much easier to see what is being worked on and what has been completed. It also keeps all of the information such as passwords and other needed tools all in one place.

**Official Response from Igor Kryltsov:**

> Hi Joshua,

We will concentrate on launching task dependencies and Gantt/Critical Path views very soon hoping to deliver it by end of 2016 or beginning 2017.

Thanks for a review.

Cheers,
Igor

  ### 47. Great Project Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David W. | Creative Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2016

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

I have been using Freedcamp for years now. It's the absolute best in its industry.
The UI is so easy to navigate through. The apps / widgets you can link are just as great.

A must have for a creative director & his team.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

The only thing I currently dislike is that there is no iPhone app. I know they're working on one, though.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

I'd HIGHLY recommend trying Freedcamp. You won't be disappointed.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving task management, project management & completing tasks before their deadlines.
When working in the creative industry, you have many deadlines you must hit. Freedcamp has helped my team with this.

**Official Response from Igor Kryltsov:**

> Hi David,

Thanks for a review. iPhone app is out now - https://twitter.com/Freedcamp/status/788566326495150080

  ### 48. Easy to Use Collaborative Software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2017

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

SIMPLE
Easy to use interface
Neat and clean design
Minimal

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

I don't like my folders going down vertically, rather than horizontally. I felt things would get missed because of that

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use FreedCamp for a PR client of ours; I was coordinating with my colleague, brand owner, her social media manager, and website designer.
There were several areas to be discussed with the team, but not everything at once
Many things would fall through the cracks due to lack of follow-up
FreedCamp kept our tasks and communications organized

**Official Response from Igor Kryltsov:**

> We are working on adding new navigation which will have vertical left side access to your project applications!

Cheers,
Igor

  ### 49. Freedcamp is a useful team-project software

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2016

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

I like the notification features a LOT, so you can see when someone adds content or a comment to a project (if you want to, you can also disable notifications, but I rely on them). This has been super useful for our team who work on projects from 5 different locations.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

There's nothing I really dislike, occasionally I think the display, like on the main page, could be better/more organized.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

I recommend checking it out, it has a lot of flexibility and tools that can be implemented or not. I particularly like calendar, notifications, and the to-do's.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

How to communicate with teams working on the same project from 5 locations--it allows us to keep up to date with each other on progress.

  ### 50. Best PM Application on the Market

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2016

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Absolutely--without a doubt--the most incredible, flexible PM software for group collaboration available. Just yesterday, my team went through our final evaluation process of Freedcamp as our PM software of choice, and the pros absolutely outweigh the cons. Some of the major things my team loves about Freedcamp is the increased collaboration and communication, the decrease in redundancy, notification customization, ability to include outside collaborators with different/limited levels of access. We are very impressed with the functionality and flexibility that Freedcamp offers to teams of all different sizes.

If you are looking for PM software, compare the features of Basecamp and Freedcamp. I think that you will find that there really is no comparison. Basecamp is $29/month but that is only for your team. Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think many companies and organizations operate in a vacuum and don't use outside contractors or partner with other organizations. So... when you are ready to bring in additional contractors and clients, your price goes to $79/month. Both of these include 100gb of storage. Nice, but filled very quickly if you upload art and larger files. Each of the marketplace add-ons are on a trial basis and if they work for you, great. You can pay monthly or by the year. If they don't, don't use them and don't pay for them. I think any team could customize their Freedcamp setup to include every plugin and it would STILL be cheaper than Basecamp.

In terms of Customer Service, Freedcamp is outstanding. They truly want the product to be the best it can be and respond to the customer as a valuable asset to making the product better. I have communicated many times with their Customer Service folks and stand amazed that they care so much about their product and those using it. As I have no experience with basecamp, I can't speak to their customer service.

Finally, the add-ons have all been great (at least the ones we have used). My team's new favorite add-on is FileEdit, which is an online document editor. No downloading files to make minor corrections just to reupload it back. It's intuitive aspects like this that make me think that this is the best PM software available for time management and collaboration.

I highly recommend Freedcamp to any team looking for better collaboration and communication. I think that you will love it!!

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

The area of opportunity that my team found to be the most significant was the user interface is not very intuitive for less tech-savvy team members, but once I took the time to walk through setting up a few projects, they seem to get used to it and it truly has become a non-issue.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

This application is amazing, and the customer service even more so. Please compare the different products, as each has characteristics that make it unique. What you may find, however, is that Freedcamp offers each of those customizable features that allows you to only pay for what you need...absolutely brilliant.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The major 'problem' that my team encounters is having a remote workforce. While the office is housed in one state, with most of the team operating from there, two team members (and multiple collaborators) work in different parts of the country. We often have no idea what the status of each project is, and this application has become so valuable in making our team more "in the know" without adding unnecessary phone calls and emails and MEETINGS that waste time and decrease productivity.
