## Freedcamp Reviews
  ### 1. Freedcamp is the project and task management solution I've been searching for!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sara C. | Owner, Designer, Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Quick and easy setup to get started using immediately
UI is clean, straightforward and uncluttered
Entire layout of project overview, upcoming tasks, etc. is exactly what I've been looking
14 day business level trial was an ideal amount of time to see if it was worth purchasing
Most important feature for me is to be able to create a project template from an existing project and set/adjust timeline - love this!

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

This is minor, but wish I could set a time in addition to a date deadline. Still learning their system so hope to provide an update down the line.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As my business grows, Freedcamp is helping me stay on top of my client projects, managing the myriad tasks involved and meet the various deadlines.

  ### 2. Move beyond "to do lists" into personal project management with Freedcamp

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Calvin P. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

For an individual, one-man shop like me, Freedcamp's pricing model is by far the best of any online project management platform. And I really really like the lifecycle of projects.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

The UI has its quirks, not gonna lie. The wiki feature is very primitive and lacking. It's not a show stopper, but something you have to learn to live with.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Freedcamp lets me implement "Getting Things Done" methodology and it lets me keep track of a thousand things at once from the tiniest errand reminder to the biggest life goals. I might not get everything done n a given day, but I have tremendous peace of mind knowing that nothing will fall through the cracks either. If I don't get something done, it's because there were too many other more important things that needed to get done.

  ### 3. Great Project Management Solution - Free and Feature Rich

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tyler W. | Software Solutions Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Allows for easy tracking of tasks and events for my projects. Even the free tier has a large variety of helpful features. Compared to other vendors, Freedcamp offers more features on their free tier than most.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Some features that were enabled during the free premium trial period were disabled once it ended. This wouldn't allow me to alter certain aspects of pre determined tasks.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Freedcamp allows me to present milestones and task completion in a variety of ways to show progress.

  ### 4. Best Collaborative Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

I love the fact that you can mention people in the comment and assign people certain tasks that you layout. You can set up many projects, do tasks, and subtask to get the project done. I love how it notifies you by email the different updates that are done to the task itself.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

What I do not like is how much it costs when you upgrade and make a project and if you add someone to it, you have to pay for that person also when they are just watching.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I work in Real Estate and it really helps with tasks for Maintenance to get done. They can also upload photos to show that the task has been completed.

  ### 5. Best Project Management for Client guest use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

I've used so many project management / task trackers in the last 12 years but freedcamp is truly the best for internal and external input. You can easily assign access to clients and consultants and the user interface is really easy to understand.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

I wish freedcamp would make some improvements to their kanban / milestone features. They're not fully fledged out. They work but it takes some time to figure out how to use them.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

If you're looking for a task tracking platform and are considering the likes of notion and asana, you should definitely take a look at freedcamp!

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm using freedcamp for internal product development / task tracking and external client project management.

  ### 6. Great Project Management platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcelo M. | Production Diretor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

It is very intuitive. I use less than 50% of all features and, yet, I feel everything I need is attended.
It is easy to add lists and tasks and also see the big picture. Also, I like that I can add as many people I want for a project, limitating their access. It gives me more secure.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

When I need to assign a task to a team, I need to put only one person to do that. But sometimes the same task is for more than 1 person. Usually, I tag all crew on the description of the task, although assigning it to only 1. Also, although KanBan is a very good way to see how the project is going, I find some difficulties to navigate.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Freedcamp, I can have all feedbacks and history of a project on a single platform. Although I don't use it to upload and archive files (I use GDrive), on Freedcamp, I can tell exactly what my team must do to deliver the entire project.
Thanks to Freedcamp, I can deliver end-to-end projects to my clients. There are about 135 projects already delivered.

  ### 7. Excellent and Robust Option for Job Tracking

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Gambling & Casinos | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

I enjoy the various options to view and filter information: calendar, kanban, list, Gantt, or the new grid view.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Nothing major at the moment. I do wish you could favorite project colors. Personally, I would like to color-code certain types of jobs without copy and pasting hex codes. And when you're in full screen mode for a task I wish the followers toggle would be pinned to the top for when scrolling through longer exchanges you don't have to scroll to the top to add/remove someone.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

If you're looking for job/project management tool with robust features and the ability for everyone to view information in a way that makes sense to them, I feel Freedcamp offers that.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I work in marketing for the casino industry. I use Freedcamp to traffic all the creative requests that come in from various departments (Hotel, Casino, Food & Beverage, Sales, HR and Entertainment) to make sure they get logged and completed on time. I enjoy the options Freedcamp gives me to visualize information when tasks are due so I can prioritze as needed. I like that you can enable/disable certain modules depending on project needs. It is robust in features and affordably priced.

  ### 8. Reasonable alternative to asana

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ankit K. | Sr. Manager Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

it is more affordable compared to asana and is feature rich. It has apps that can be enabled, which opens up lots of features such as sub subtasks, milestones etc.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

User management can be challenging. Creating teams and adding people to different tasks with rights can prove daunting.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a good project management tool for those who would not like to spend a lot on such tools.

  ### 9. More Than a Project Management Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Freedcamp practically helped me organize every task and subtask in a well-visualized manner and with proper team involvement.
After we used Freedcamp for our internal projects and tasks, we extended using it for our clients. We became very confident to onboard them on their specific project and we start communicating via Freedcamp.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

The mobile application needs more attention. Otherwise, the desktop version satisfies our needs fully.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

I have tried different Task/Project Management tools but never found a tool like Freedcamp in terms of bringing all features together and ease of use.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pain:
- Unorganized Tasks
- Unorganized flow of process
- Whom is doing what
- Deadlines

Value:
- Tasks & Subtasks with deadlines and allocated team members
- Very professional interface in front of our clients
- Items are not limited only to tasks. Calendar Events, Milestones & Etc

  ### 10. Best option for versatile task and project management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephen H. | Manager, Cold-ocean and Deep-sea Research Facility, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

After trying a variety of online project managment tools I found Freedcamp to be the best at having a complete toolkit of features. This includes lots of options for subtasks, Gantt charts, cloud connections and shifting dates.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Not as visually appealing as some of the other options and it isn't as easy to "dumb it down" for staff who need basic functionality. The mobile apps are a bit cumbersome and features which are familiar from the web are missing or run differently in the apps.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Freedcamp is best as a tool for the high level manager who needs to look at tasks for multiple projects simultaeously. It is my main dashboard for the day and helps me keep track of the full range of work in a research lab setting.

  ### 11. Great Productivity Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul P. | Web Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

I've been using Freedcamp for a few years now. I tried many tools, and they were either too higher price for what I wanted or they didn't have the features that I wanted. Freedcamp has the features for me to keep on top of my daily tasks without overcomplicating the process.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

I can't say that there is anything that I don't like about it. It does what it promises.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My daily productivity has improved dramatically since using Freedcamp. I no longer feel I have to find a better productivity tool. I generally don't use paper to-do lists at all any more.

  ### 12. Excellent project and task management software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danilo Z. | Sócio Diretor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

The calendar and task management help me in day-to-day project management for clients.
The software is easy to use.
Technical support is very fast and efficient.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

There is nothing I don't like about Freedcamp.
He serves me well in all aspects and when I have any improvement to request, the support team serves me quickly.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

Freedcamp is a very good software to manage tasks and events, in addition to having a very active and fast technical support. In addition, they are constantly improving the software and listening to users' opinions.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving the task and event management problem for projects on clients. In this respect, Freedcamp helps me to monitor my team and the activities they need to develop with clients, without missing deadlines.

  ### 13. Good for a starter!

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

The platform is straightforward to use without much training. I have onboarded almost 50 people till now, and I didn't have to tell them how to use it. I think that is great!

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Not able to make great Gantt charts. I think many other apps did a better job. Freedcamp is a bit behind. I am sure, you can improve the zoom in/out function in Gantt charts a lot.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

If you are looking for something simple, easy to implement, then you can start with freedcamp in no time.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Freedcamp helps organize and manage my tasks. The most significant benefit is, I can always go back and check what I did earlier and what somebody told me, but I will admit that is precisely the purpose of any task management tool.

  ### 14. Great application - a few kinks to work out for a freelancer

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Graphic Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

The nested lists, the ability to see so many different views of my projects - there's something for everyone to work with. I'm a freelancer juggling a lot of tasks between clients and being able to tailor the system to my needs is very important. I utilize a lot of breakdown of content (ie, task list, then tasks, then subtasks, then even more subtasks sometimes!). I like the breakdown of projects too - I assign a client as a project, and then put them under umbrella projects. My umbrella projects are "Personal" and "Work".

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

The calendar is veeerrryyy slooooowww... I can't stand how long it takes to move a task to the next day. I've started having to just go into the tasks screen, filter by the date range, and then select things as completed or change dates from there. Much faster. I think the calendar should also have the option of selecting "completed" option instead of having to click three times to complete.

Also, I would like to see DUE TIMES available on task items. When I go to the calendar, all my tasks are just put in random order. I have to organize them in a different application by the time slots in my day. It's a lot of wasted time for me, but actually makes me more productive when I have a time schedule to follow. If I could set times on tasks, that would probably complete this application for me.

It's a big deal and I'm always keeping my eyes open for a service that does everything I want because this is a huge problem for me.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

It's a great overall system that has a lot of flexibility. I personally have used it for years and have not found a solution that does everything I need as a freelancer better than Freedcamp. I would like to see a couple more features implemented for my personal workflow, but I know that the team is doing the best they can to accomplish everyone's wishes.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organization to my life and work!

  ### 15. Handy tool for a small non-profit

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Timothy F. | Liaison Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Appropriate pricing for two users means our small team can work effectively together on projects. The calendar sync functionality (we use Google) is helpful for easily viewing due Freedcamp tasks for day/week and ensuring time is allocated into someone's calendar to action these.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

The desktop program isn't as intuitive to use as I would like. There isn't a "back" option, whereas when using the browser based version you can use your browser's inbuilt buttons. I often have to reset back to the home screen or projects list to then navigate elsewhere.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Freedcamp provides our small team with the ability to keep track of long-term goals by breaking them down into projects and then smaller task and subtask lists. We have realised that when inspiration for an idea comes along, we can easily add a nice title and thoughts as a task, and then come back later to move these ideas around to other projects/tasks to ensure ideas are not lost.

  ### 16. Freedcamp - a UK charity's experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richard M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

I like the fact that we have a flexible management tool that is not completely license based as it has a free tier. For many charities this is super important because we have part time people and volunteers and we could not cover the costs of tools for them.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Can't think of much to be honest - the updates over the last year have really helped and improved the product
perhaps customise the fact that you can only have 3 actions in progress - we have many more than that each

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

We have used Basecamp, Trello and Asana in other areas but we have settled on Freedcamp as our core mechanism and we are very happy with it however, it does help to consider how best to customise for what you need.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Freedcamp to do the following:
- manage team projects
- manage internal team priorities (Senior Leadership Team, Marketing, Technology deployment etc.)
- manage the board in terms of documents, actions and communications
- manage relationships with key suppliers and associated priorities

  ### 17. Not too good to be true, they really do offer great tools at no cost. (Or little cost too)

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam S. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

It offers so many tools for FREE. I legitimately have used this almost every day since I discovered it and it has helped me organize so much. It is a wonderful tool to help manage collaboration in teams, and has so many tools and widgets available to help layout and measure productivity. Great free Kanban style board and unlimited lists and projects on the free plan and unlimited collaborators!

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

I don't particularly like the main dashboard that much, since I don't have that many projects at the same time it is not as useful but still useful nonetheless.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I had a disorganization problem with my team in getting tasks done, this helped us organize who was doing what, and what needs to be done. Now I'm using it day to day for work, small projects, and even personal life things. I am saving time!

  ### 18. How Freedcamp helps me and my small business

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alessandro G. | Group CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

The quick and easy way to check projects progresses

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

It could be a bit more flexible in some cases

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Benefits and solved problems are all related to team and project management (obviously): breaking down a project into tasks, assigning tasks to several people and monitoring their progress. Also punctual communication is being sorted out by being able to have conversations on literally any task or subtask.

  ### 19. Probably the best PM tool on the free tier

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcy H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

- Space and lots of space to store your files, document your company's processes, and easy to scale no matter how many projects you need to manage at the same time. That's hard to beat on the free tier, when comparing to other tools in the market that always impose a conservative storage limit on their free plans.
- Ease of use. For any type of PM user, novice or expert, Freedcamp isn't hard to understand and get a grasp of how to manage projects, collaborate or simply focus on getting tasks done.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

The UX can be a bit frustrating at times and not the most atractive one. But definitely not a deal breaker.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

If you're looking for a free PM tool and money is an issue, Freedcamp should be on your shortlist of trials. It's scalable and definitely a contender on paid tiers as well.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

After an extensive research of PM tools within the free plans, Freedcamp rose naturally as the rational choice to allow me scale easily without the cost burden. It has all the basic need features to manage any type of creative project from start to finish.
To a certain extent, it also became a file repository and internal wiki for everything related to my company.

  ### 20. We are a small design team and the free plan has almost everything we need!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

The tool is free, and it is easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

I did not find something that is missing. Maybe the UX of the mobile app, i find it harder to navigate quickly in tasks with my phone.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

Best project and task management tool i have ever used. Worth trying, it has a free plan!

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have set up a project management system that works for us. We have over 50 projects and everything is well organized. Kanban view for almost all of the projects is great to visualize the project needs and priorities.

  ### 21. Great product with a very supporting team behind it

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Frank B. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Freedcamp is constantly improving. We've used the free version for ages and recently switched to a payed account. It is very feature rich, and I would recommend it to anyone in project management.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

To be honest, we like most elements of freedcamp. The elements we were struggling with have been updated and fixed in the meantime.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it for project management in our business (software business)

  ### 22. It helps a lot to organize your tasks.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin de Jesus S. | Administrative Assistance, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

It organized well our fund's partners directory.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

It needs to be optimized for a smooth interaction with each title located in the tasks.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use a lot of the option tasks to find information related to every fund partner contact information and relate links.

  ### 23. Useful collaborative tool to manage tasks and projects

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elisa B. | Weather Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

It's organized, straightforward, easy to use and allow collaborative works

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

It's sometimes chaotic; it's not possible to define deadline for subtasks; it's not possible to download all the infos (text, attachments) related to a task

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Handle big projects and deadlines; I can have things under control

  ### 24. Incredibly feature rich tool that helps me manage my entire business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Todd R. | Principal, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2020

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

I love being able to organize work by groups, which I am using to sort work I perform for each of my clients. Within each group, I can create multiple projects for each client, store documents (including multiple versions of documents), e-mail in documents and important information, track time and prepare invoices - all while having a daily calendar of work that needs to be accomplished on specific deadlines. The File Edit feature is amazing. I work in the legal services industry and tracking versions of documents is incredibly important. File Edit makes is remarkably simple. I have managed to replace my practice management software (which costs $720 a year) and give up my Box subscription (another $120 a year) for a tool that works just as well for less than a tenth of the price. I think the programmers have not only great programming skills but have taken the time to understand how people across different types of work environments work - and accounted for what they need. I'm just very impressed by how I have managed to improve my work process over the last three months by using Freedcamp. A really remarkable tool.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

I wish there were more reporting options available. For instance, you can't really get a report that shows you a total of hours spent working on all projects by group with a subtotal listed for each project within the group. But that is not really a problem for me. It would just be a nice convenience. Other than this, the tool is absolutely great.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

Use the free version first. I did and within a week discovered at least a dozen ways it performed better than tools like Asana or Trello. But you really need to try it to see how it works.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am a solo practitioner and have found that I have sometimes needed to purchase several annual subscription services to meet my business needs. Annual subscription fees are becoming burdensome. Somehow, Freedcamp has managed to incorporate the most important tools I need into a single tool and made it available at a very reasonable price. But even more important, Freedcamp is a better product than Asana, Podio, Trello and Wrike - all of which I tried and found to be lacking in features. It's really incredible how well they have managed to bring together a complete practice tool so well.

  ### 25. Organization, Prioritization, and Imagination

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Howard B. | Founder / Managing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Freedcamp has a clean and simple interface, everything is organized and easy to find. I'm more productive when I'm using it and I can tell when I'm not.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

There's some reminder functionality that I wish was there, but overall it's not something that's hindering my work flow.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have a wide range of projects happening at any given time and Freedcamp helps me keep them all top of mind. I'm more efficient in managing the workflow and making sure deadlines are met.

  ### 26. Freedcamp is simple to use and helped my team complete tasks efficiently.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

I like how you can view all the tasks at once and claim them so the entire team knows who is working on what.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

There was nothing that stood out to me that I didn't like. Sometimes the website would run a little slow, but that's it.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Some problems that we solved include team management, completing tasks on time, and communication.
Some benefits we have realized are the ease of use and the efficacy.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Several features that are available in other tools are missed.

I'm using Freedcamp for my personal planning and scheduling tool.
It's good enough for my personal needs.

  ### 28. A good project have a good planner

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

I like it because I can work in a group and the kanban view is incredible.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

maybe some more tools in the task and assignment person to do it

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

if you want a planner who does all the things you can imagine in an organization Freecamp is the best solutions

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Group assignment for task and communication, so everyone knows when they have to work and what they have to do.

  ### 29. Really handy for our nonprofit and new to project management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jay R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

There are many options for viewing tasks - as to-do lists, calendars, projects, milestones, kanban, gantt chart, and you can switch between them, and lots of drag and drop function.
It's also very cheap for what it offers, especially because they offer a discount to non-profits and educational institutions (we're both).
Whenever we've needed to contact the company via email they are really quick and I'm always satisfied with the outcome.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Slight lag when entering data, although the recent update has made this heaps better.
There's probably some features that we're not using, mostly because I don't know how to and haven't had time to investigate. Any software is like this, and it takes a while to get used to the features that work best for you.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing a not for profit program with a small team, often remote working. It's a great way to stash the 'things we should do but don't have time just yet' to-do lists and ideas, and in a calendar format.

  ### 30. Freedcamp is a staple at our nonprofit!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Freedcamp is amazing for organizing projects and tasks. Our staff loves the ability to create tasks by sending an email. We also love the ability to track the time spent on projects because it helps us to calculate our functional expense allocation (nonprofit). You can also tag users in a project to make sure they get an email notification, which is a feature we love and use often!

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Two features that I think would improve Freedcamp: 1. The ability to set up a vacation responder. That way users are notified when they assign a task to you, that you will not be able to tend to the project until you return. 2. The ability to assign two people to a task. "Everyone" is an option but sometimes the task just involves two people.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. Project management - our organization includes six chapters and there are a lot of projects!
2. Time management - less time spent organizing and managing projects. That way more time can be spent completing them.
3. Time tracking - It helps us organize our projects and the corresponding time completing them into buckets. Then we can properly report our functional expense allocations.

  ### 31. Great Software

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashlee X. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2020

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

I love the layout of Freedcamp. I can easily find what I am looking for! Looking at something that is pleasing to the eye also helps me enjoy doing my work. I love the aesthetics of Freedcamp. I can also easily see what my other co-workers are doing which is helpful to keep us in sync. The color coordination of the projects also help me know which tasks are what in the calendar view. I also love how I can quickly complete a task on the calendar view.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

I don't like that I can't upload over a certain file size in a task to share with my team. That has been a pain for my team since it would be easier to share files within a specific task to help us all stay on track. This would eliminate using other communication systems like email or Slack. I recommend Freedcamp increasing their file-sharing size so people can not worry about their file not sending via a task.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

If you want to stay on top of your workload and easily share tasks with your team, then Freedcamp is for you! I recommend this software to anyone who wants to be organized. Using Freedcamp has helped my team know what is going on as a whole. This really helps us stay on track and not get frustrated about any miscommunication. All of our communication can be right on Freedcamp!

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Freedcamp has allowed my team to get organized. We used to plan out of work schedules on post-its! This has been lifechanging for my team. We really love the paperless way of life. I also love the ease of selecting a project on my calendar to create a brand new task. I don't have to go into the project board, then create one. I love doing everything from the calendar view so I can map our dates out so nothing overlaps too often. The benefit would be to get work done efficiently! We all are able to stay on top of our tasks and easily communicate with each other to get things done. I also appreciate the ease of adding people to a project or task so they are in-the-know.

  ### 32. Very positive

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrea C. | COO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Tasks management, notifications, gantt, widget

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Absence of unique id for tasks, integration with slack

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Operations and development management

  ### 33. FreedCamp simplifies workflow details for projects

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mental Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Freedcamp is one of the best known and most effective management tools for large organizations that can be achieved in the market because it has mainly unlimited functionality in both the free and professional subscription, but however in the paid function is where you can take advantage of a larger scale storage system and more effective services as it provides the management of documents, projects, collaboration, reporting and monitoring of the tasks they want to perform

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Although freedcamp has unlimited user access for free and that is a great advantage in that same function does not have much data storage that is a disadvantage, but when you hire the professional service functions provided increase in large numbers but in our experience we have had difficulty with the customization of certain projects this because it contains many features and costs a little to organize, it would be easier if they trained or sent a report of the operation before recruitment

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

This tool is totally eye-catching at the beginning simply because it has mainly a free use that can be very useful to several companies that present difficulties with their project management tool, but nevertheless I recommend its professional use that is paid to get extensive functions that at first will be difficult to understand, but then it will not be the best you have

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

According to the experience we have had during this time with freedcamp there have been more positive things than negative things, since this tool has served as a boost for our company since it started running inside. Freedcamp has managed to simplify the details and tasks within the organization, all this comes from having the AKA sticky notes and Kanban boards to cover more widely the operations. This tool has also provided us with solutions for managing invoices, project templates, wikis, and problem tracking. This is clear from the fact that the tool is easily synchronized with Google Calendar, which allows us to manage it more easily

  ### 34. Exceptional platform for managing any project

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carl F. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Great user interface and design, making the process of managing projects an easy one. I also love that they are constantly evolving and making enhancements to the platform.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Nothing comes to mind as they check all the boxes.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

Especially when you compare it to other similar programs, you can clearly see the difference with this platform. From the use of managing tasks and subtasks to project management, it's a quantum leap over these other platforms.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Project management on select projects and having a centralized destination for collaboration.

  ### 35. Great for Project Managers!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Environmental Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

The task lists and subtasks, that can easily be moved around and the timelines/dates that can easily be changed or renewed for the next project year. Striking through the tasks as they are completed is easy and satisfying!

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

The email reminders sometimes focus on the same tasks, more task variety in the email notification would be nice.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides a platform where each member of the team can review project tasks and be assigned to different staff members, so it makes it easy to delegate. As a non-profit environmental organization, we have a lot of different projects on the go. We have a lot less tasks that are forgotten thanks to freedcamp.

  ### 36. good tool for small firms they are providing good features in free version.

time management for multi-project easier prioritize task

  ### 37. Great platform for Project Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fabrizzio Soares U. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Free for small teams, and slow and adjustable price grow for bigger teams.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Lack of columns customization in Kanban columns and Milestones in Project Group. User managment is still confusing, specially if you have many users.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

Give a try to Freedcamp. It is an amazing platform and very flexible.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I manage about 20 research projects with my group. I can keep tracking many projects at time and be aware of deadlines using google calendar integration.

  ### 38. Great Product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

We have been using Freedcamp for over a year. The ease of use and ability to collaborate with colleagues (inside and outside the organization) make this tool an essential part of our organization.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

I would love a way to have more categories in Kanban view.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can keep on top of an array of projects with our team, assistants, and consultants across the country.

  ### 39. Complete tool but a little messy

  ### 42. Freedcamp offers a nice interface to manage different projects in one place.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Albert T. | Program Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

The main interface is clean and user friendly.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

I miss some tools that I need to find in other platforms. I would expect more frequency on upgrades.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking task with different members of my organisation is easier now. Having a common place for discussions, tasks follow up and documents is great and help us achieve objcetives.

  ### 43. Freedcamp is a complete software to manage the projects of a company

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Electronics | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

My organization receives a large amount of projects daily from our customers that is why we have always used project management software Freedcamp has been a wonder what has caught my attention is its platform which provides the user with a comprehensive set of tools and capabilities to manage central projects, manage documents and problems, manage portfolios, reports and monitoring of tasks and times the system also offers many free versions that have unlimited functionality and are as complete as a paid version

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

There are some negatives of Freedcamp which you can only realize when you have time using this software firstly its mobile application which is not as solid as the browser based application, the configuration of the projects can be a bit complicated at the beginning and you need to adapt to the methodologies that this software has, tracking cost until completion is a function that this software practically does not have and I would like to integrate it in an upgrade and to conclude it has a strange prioritization of basic functions

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

Among the reasons why I would recommend Freedcamp as a platform to manage projects I must mention its price that allows this scope for small and large companies, its level of complexity that is to me seems low and allows users to quickly adapt to the working methodologies that presents Freedcamp, its versatility has been used by thousands of users worldwide and is compatible for iPad and tablets, the truth is that it is a software that provides many facilities to users

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In large organizations like the one I belong to we need to use project management software every day because we still measured a lot of work by our customers we started using the free versions of Freedcamp and when we saw how effective and simple it was to use it to manage documents, portfolios, make reports and track tasks and events we decided to stay using this software and actually we have had good results in all this time now our work is much easier and fluid

  ### 44. Great functionality for a great price!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lindsay S. | Senior Manager, Development Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

I find it very easy to learn and use in our team.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

It doesn't integrate with the same level of platforms as some of the large project management tools do.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Freedcamp helps keeps projects organized and on time, and allows for multiple team members to collaborate together on projects.

  ### 45. Great team task organisation tool.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jasmine N. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

The ability to assign tasks to specific people and have feedback on their progress. Also useful is the ability to attach documents to tasks.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Just wish we could attach more than one person to a task sometimes. Could perhaps be circumvented by creating groups.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a highly independent but also interdependent media office and this helps with keeping most on the same page.

  ### 46. An economical software unites many solutions for project management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Electronics | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 09, 2020

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Freedcamp is a platform designed to help users organize and collaborate effectively in the cloud has a vast set of tools and capabilities including core applications such as assignment to team members, scheduling events through a calendar, forums to discuss ideas and time tracking just to mention a few functions, has enough customizable templates, its interface is simple and easy to use, have a technical support whose response time is fast and efficient and finally Freedcamp is an extremely economical software for those companies who want to save on management applications.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Freedcamp is a modest application that still has many things to improve for example is not an intuitive and automated application requires more fields of customization to better adapt to user needs, does not have enough tools for managing portfolios function that I consider important for all project management software also can not manage ideas, budget and finally it is really difficult to try to track project costs until its completion I must add that this application still has much room for improvement and would fix several points with a good update.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

As a user of Freedcamp I would recommend it for any company that requires a low tool that allows you to have control of their projects and time also has tools to manage resources and budgets but I think they are insufficient especially for a large company that manages a large number of projects for different customers but for a small company can be useful because it is quite effective in the other points I mentioned, its interface is simple and also its learning curve is extremely low.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been trying Freedcamp in my organization for a considerable time and I can say that it has been quite useful as a complementary tool for the assignment of tasks for the execution of projects and to schedule events in the calendar. Also lately we have been using the discussion forums that it offers within our department since it helps us to make clear points, discuss ideas and raise objectives, things that are important for the successful execution of a project.

  ### 47. Excellent project management system

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Micah B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

The easy-to-use interface has made project management seamless for my team.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Nothing. This is a great program that meets all of my needs.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Streamlined workflow

  ### 48. Freedcamp has tools for the planning of your company

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Freedcamp's software has many strengths among them I can mention its scheduling and project planning function which offers a task list system that allows us to tag relevant users, comment on the progress of tasks and share project resources such as documents, graphs and charts, the time tracking tools are also quite good you can track individual tasks, it also has an interactive calendar where you can organize in dates the tasks, its duration and priority finally has a very economical price

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Freedcamp's software still has some points to improve the priorities in my opinion are its interface which I consider has an unattractive design and does not host in an organized way all the functions, it does not have enough tutorials to help adopt a simple way the operation of software for this reason I think that the learning curve is high I would like a little more simplicity when working, it is difficult to manage a follow-up of costs until its completion and finally it does not have enough templates to make graphs

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

I would definitely recommend Freedcamp as project management software for any kind of company as my experience using this program has been really positive if what you are looking for is a software with extensive functions and with an economical price Freedcamp is the perfect product I would also recommend it as a tool to work with Gantt charts and kanban boards as it is extremely easy to create and customize them the same way I recommend it to track projects the truth is very useful and effective

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My organization has used Freedcamp for quite some time as project management software since it is quite effective for scheduling and planning projects, one of the frequent uses we give it is also to create Gantt charts and kanban boards which have a methodology that we know very well in my organization another function is time tracking that allows us to visualize the time spent on each task and its completion date all these functions have meant significant progress for us

  ### 49. An easy to handle project management software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cheryl H. | Business Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2020

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

I like the ability to track time based on the projects that I'm working on. In Basecamp and other programs there's no way to track time. This is especially important to me since I have part timers who handle some of the client work and I need to track their time in order to bill the client.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

I don't have any strong dislikes for the program. The one feature that I wish it did have is the ability to easily hide older time trackers. They do have a filter, but if you log out and log back in you have to reassign the dates that you want to see. It's a minor inconvenience.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

Freedcamp is perfect for new business owners since it's easy to understand and use. It is also capable of growing with your business needs as you go choose the higher plans. The ability to have a comprehensive Wiki to share with your team and contractors is a really great feature. I know that I struggled with videos and docs and other information that I'd have to pull from across platforms. Freedcamp simplified that process for me.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving the problem of tracking time for projects. It also helps me to have one spot that I can communicate information to the people who are helping me to manage the work. I especially like that you can setup little Wikis or informational spots to record procedures and steps. That saves a lot of time training (and in some cases, retraining) people.

  ### 50. Grow and learn how to manage projects with Freedcamp

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 02, 2020

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Freedcamp is an innovative online project management platform that allows the user to collaborate in different projects simultaneously, it is a platform in which you can operate for free is very positive from the point of view of the portfolio, has a lot of complements in addition to its applications for IOS and android is a platform under development your project is to become a premium software and its margin of improvement is quite good in it you can make Gantt charts, agile methodology, tracking hours, expenses and resource management among other things.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

It still needs to go through a path to consolidate itself as a premium platform for project management, the interface especially of the applications for IOS are a little outdated and slow with Freedcamp for example you can not manage a budget or a portfolio as well as you can not track costs until completion and the free version does not have video tutorials to learn how to use the tools.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

I would recommend Freedcamp for small or medium companies due to its low cost in large companies may not be very useful as it does not have many automated options so it could be problematic especially if you handle a lot of information, I recommend it to make invoices as it is very fast and easy finally I would not recommend the free version to train staff because it has no explanatory tutorials for this activity.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My organization has used the free version of Freedcamp to manage tasks, make Gantt charts and also plan some automated tools such as quotes, estimates and billing. The use of Freedcamp has been a test to see if it can be a useful tool for our department and the truth is that the results have been very promising as the platform is extremely easy to work with.
