"Flexible View of Field, Office, and PTO—But the Visuals Can Get Busy"
3/5
What do you like best about Float.com?

I like the flexibility of what can be shown on Float. It's nice to see field work, office work, and PTO all in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

I think the visuals are a little confusing. Some people add in a bunch of stuff onto one or two days, and it looks busy and I am not really sure what is going on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive and Effective Resource Management with Float.com"
5/5
What do you like best about Float.com?

I really like Float.com's UI/UX because it's easy to navigate and user-friendly. It makes handling everything much easier. I also find the review and cost reports very helpful, especially for project costs and time recording. The developer API is great too; it's straightforward and easy to integrate with other applications. Generating and extracting reports is simple, which is a huge plus for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

As of now, I would say the currency in terms of our cost rates for people is a limitation. I know Float.com is just starting to implement this feature, but I believe it's still in beta and that's a current limitation we're having. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Visibility Into Team Capacity Across Projects"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Float.com?

It’s been most helpful for me because it gives visibility into my team’s capacity. I’m able to see how they’re spread across different projects, which makes it easier to understand where their time is going. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

There isn’t much I can say in terms of what I dislike. If anything, it might be helpful to be able to see the spend, along with the time used, across different projects for each individual. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Clear, Visual Resource Planning That Makes Scheduling Easy"
4/5
What do you like best about Float.com?

What I like best about Float is how clear and visual the resource planning is. The timeline view makes it easy to see who is allocated to what at a glance, which helps catch capacity issues early and avoid over‑ or under‑booking people. It’s also quick to adjust schedules when priorities change, and the interface is intuitive enough that team members can get up to speed without much training. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

What I dislike about Float is that some more advanced reporting and customization options feel limited without exporting data. While the core scheduling works well, digging deeper into trends or historical insights can require extra steps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Useful for Resource Management, But Not User-Friendly"
2.5/5
What do you like best about Float.com?

I like the color coding options. It makes it really easy for our team to view people's schedules and organize the information in a way that makes the most sense to us. Organizing our schedules based on clients and assigning colors to each one makes it easier to see allocations in Float.com. The color coding helps us make decisions more quickly since we can view the schedule in this way, organizing it in our brains more easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

I don't think it's the most user friendly at first. We switched from another resource management tool that everyone was able to understand really quickly. I think there's a lot of tabs that kind of feel like they do the same thing, but you're only able to do certain actions when you're in a certain view or on a certain page. So that can be kind of confusing. We tried doing a Monday integration, and that didn't work. It was actually quite challenging. We had a Float.com representative that tried to kind of onboard our team or prep our team, but I think we tried to implement it before we were really ready. So overall, the company struggled a lot with the implementation, and we didn't find the Float.com rep to be all that helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alexandria Petigna of Float.com

Hi Anika, thank you so much for this detailed feedback. I think it will genuinely help us improve. I’m really glad color coding has made scheduling clearer and faster for your team, and that’s exactly what it’s designed to do.

I hear you on the navigation complexity. Making Float intuitive from day one is something that our product teams are actively working on, and your point about actions being tied to specific views is a fair one.

I’m also sorry the Monday integration and onboarding experience fell short. When it comes to the onboarding experience, in particular, that’s not the standard I’d expect from our team. If you’re open to it, please reach out to our support team (support@float.com). It would be great to gather some more information from you on where things broke down and help you get more value from Float.

"Simple Interface and Clear Visual Scheduling for Organized Project Planning"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Float.com?

I use Float to plan project schedules and manage resource allocation across different tasks. What I like most is its simple interface and clear visual scheduling view, which makes it easy to understand team availability and workload distribution. It helps keep project planning organized without adding unnecessary complexity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

Some of the advanced reporting and customization options could be more flexible. New users may also need a bit of time to get familiar with all of the planning features and how they work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to Use with Great Visibility into Colleagues’ Schedules"
5/5
What do you like best about Float.com?

Ease of use and visibility of colleagues schedules. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

Doesn't handle weekends well. If I'm working 2 weeks straight, it is a slight hassle to add time to the weekends, splitting cells and deleting duplicate time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Resource and Project Management made easier at a customized level"
5/5
What do you like best about Float.com?

Apart from the ease of resource scheduling by tasks and tracking progress, Float.com can be used in tracking and analysing actual time used by specific tasks. This is a really helpful feature to calculate team effectiveness and refine project costs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

One thing that would be helpful is the ability of downloading the Booked and Task time used details by Months at a consolidated level. Currently it has to be done month by month Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
