Float.com is the #1 resource management software for delivery teams, designed to give Operations and Delivery leaders the full picture of who’s working on what, whether delivery’s on track, and how to take on what’s next. Unlike disconnected spreadsheets or complex PSAs, Float offers a single, clear source of truth to plan, resource, and report on client work. It doesn’t replace existing CRMs, spreadsheets, HRIS, project and finance tools: it works alongside them to give you the full picture of delivery, so every decision gets made with complete visibility. 4,500+ of the best creative agencies, professional services, and in-house delivery teams globally choose Float to: ✔️ Always know who’s available and what’s coming next. No more spreadsheets that don’t match: your people’s availability, roles, and skills live in Float and update in real time. See who’s working on what at a glance, catch capacity issues early, and (re)allocate resources flexibly when plans change. ✔️ Scope accurately and adjust quickly. Set a baseline for every project—price, budget, roles, timeline—and know what delivery takes before work begins. Find the best-fit person with AI-assisted staffing; when something changes, compare your adjusted scope vs. the baseline and adapt with confidence instead of guesswork. ✔️ Stay on top of delivery performance. Get a live view of how delivery’s going, with the reporting depth to understand what’s driving it. From team capacity and utilization to actuals, margin, and budget burn: if things drift from the plan, you see it as it happens instead of finding out weeks (or months) later.

"Simple, Enjoyable Hour Logging"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Float.com?

Float has made time tracking something I no longer have to think about. The interface is clean, intuitive, and quick to use, so logging hours takes only a few seconds instead of feeling like a chore.

From an employee's perspective, it's easy to switch between projects, keep track of where my time goes, and ensure my timesheets are always accurate. It helps me stay focused on my work rather than on administrative tasks.

For the company, Float provides clear visibility into how time is allocated across multiple projects, making it much easier to monitor costs, utilization, and overall project health. It's one of those tools that benefits both employees and management without adding unnecessary complexity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

The mobile app could be more intuitive, especially when it comes to logging hours. While the desktop experience is straightforward, I found myself having to navigate through several screens before I could enter my time.

A dedicated \*\*"Log Today's Hours"\*\* button on the home screen or bottom navigation would make the process much faster and more user-friendly. Since logging hours is one of the most common actions, making it accessible in a single tap would significantly improve the overall mobile experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?

Float makes it easy to keep track of the time spent on each project and provides clear visibility into how workloads are distributed. From an employee perspective, this helps create a better understanding of schedules, priorities, and available capacity.

It also helps prevent overwork by making it easier to identify when someone is overloaded and allowing teams to balance workloads more effectively. This visibility benefits both employees, by supporting a healthier work-life balance, and managers, by improving planning and resource allocation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Super User-Friendly, Easy Integration, and Granular Resource Breakdown"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Float.com?

It is super user friendly and easy to integrate with our working processes. Great to breakdown resource in granular detail by clients and projects. I specifically enjoy being able to use the filter function which helps me narrow down departments, roles, projects and clients Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

The Google Calendar integration doesn’t seem to work very well. It logs everything as “float,” when it should be more intuitive about what gets added as a resource versus what should be treated as a meeting. On top of that, you also have to manually change it, which makes the whole process feel unnecessarily cumbersome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?

We predominantly use Float to manage and resource our company’s time. We’re an advertising agency with a lot of clients and multiple projects running at the same time, and we often found that work wasn’t being resourced properly. Because of that, we couldn’t keep up with how much time people were spending on tasks, and during particularly busy weeks it was hard to tell whether we needed extra support from freelancers.

We’ve tried other resourcing tools, such as Wrike, but they never really seemed to stick. That was mainly due to time constraints and user interfaces that weren’t especially friendly. From my perspective, resourcing has improved massively since we started using float and it has helped us keep more on top of time management and staffing needs Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Clear, Intuitive Interface with Flexible Customisation"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Float.com?

he interface is very easy to understand and navigate. The layout is clear and intuitive, making it simple to find the information and features I need without confusion. Everything is presented in a logical way, which helps improve efficiency and reduces the time spent learning how to use the system.

I also like how it can be customised to suit individual preferences and ways of working. The ability to tailor settings, layouts and features makes the experience more personal and user-friendly. This flexibility allows users to work in a way that best meets their needs, which can help improve productivity and overall satisfaction with the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

The “View Team” option could be more accurate and reliable. On occasion, it displays incorrect or outdated information, which can make it difficult to get a clear understanding of team structures and responsibilities. Improving the accuracy and consistency of this feature would increase confidence in the information provided and make it a more useful tool for users who rely on it to understand their team and wider organisational relationships. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?

Float is solving the problem of scheduling and resource management by providing a clear overview of who is working on what and when. It helps teams plan workloads effectively, avoid scheduling conflicts, and ensure resources are allocated appropriately across different projects and assignments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy, Color-Coded Time Tracking with a Handy “This Week” View"

5/5

What do you like best about Float.com?

I love the "Log my time" tab the best! I love how you can color code different projects. I also love how easy it is to look at what you have coming up for the week using the "This week" view and logging your time that way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

When I first started using it, it was hard to understand how it worked, so there was a bit of a learning curve for me. It is more user-friendly than other time tracking platforms, so I was not used to that! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is handling my resourcing each week really well. I work a 40 hour work week, and I am able to see how well my schedule reflects that, more specifically if I'm scheduled for more or less hours for a particular week. It helps manage my stress and time, which is very helpful! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Perspective From An Employee Keeping An Eye On Their Allocations"

4/5

What do you like best about Float.com?

For me, it's only about having a single place to look at my project allocations so I know how much time I can work on each per day. Or work on one project all day while knowing how much time I need to make up another project the following day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

Since I'm just an employee who doesn't actually do anything in Float, I really have no cons on my end. It does what I need which is to quickly check in on my allocation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Float.com:

It's convenient to use to quickly check in on your allocation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's a tool to easily keep an eye on your allocation without all of the other managerially junk in the way. As an employee, I can quickly sign in, check my allocation and sign out without ever wasting time interacting with anything else. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive, Simple UX That’s Easy to Set Up and Learn"

4/5

What do you like best about Float.com?

UX, Layout, Simplicity, easy to use, to set up and to learn to use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

I wished

- You could create custom fields as some tags are not very intuitive.

- Google calendar integration worked better. It becomes really messy whrn it appears in your schedule. It should be almost a separate window where you decide if you convert some of those events into timesheets but without overlapping your schedule or timesheets view

- There was a way to integrate hibob leave data and Float. We tried with zapier but didn't work. We manage leave in Hibob and it's pain to have to manually add to float.

- Integrations via zapier are quite limited in terms of triggers and actions.

- We can't use for budget management as we have a discount model and without the ability to apply this, our rates are not accurate Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are mostly using it for time tracking, capacity planning, utilisation reports.

It does work well for that purpose.

We're saving money from the previous tool that we were using that was also a bit more complex to use and led to low user adoption. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly UI/UX and Helpful Project Time Reporting"

5/5

What do you like best about Float.com?

It is very user-friendly. I have used Float for 5 years at different jobs and saw the evolution of this software, and the focus they put on UI/UX. Also, it has a good statistics feature in the report tab, where it shows how many hours are left for a specific project to complete. I found that very useful for my jobs that have time limits, which allows me to plan my work time better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

I guess that the design changed a few times drastically over the past few years, and it required some time to find the old features and get used to them, but that's also a good part, since the UI refinements made it better and easier to use Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?

Time tracking, planning the work between projects, seeing how many hours I have worked on a specific project, and how many hours are left, I also track my progress and write down updates that my management tracks in the notes for a specific logged day Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Clear Project Overview and Smarter Workload Planning with Float"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Float.com?

What I like most is having a clear overview of the projects I’m involved in, timelines, and task allocation. As a UI/UX Designer, Float helps me quickly understand how my workload is distributed, plan design activities more effectively, and stay aligned with priorities and deadlines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

What I like less is that, in the way we currently use it, Float is mainly a tool for viewing project allocations. However, I feel it has greater potential, and some of its features could be better leveraged to support planning, work organization, and provide a more complete overview of activities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?

Float mainly helps me understand how my time is distributed across different projects and gives me a clear view of upcoming allocations. This allows me to organize my work more effectively, anticipate potential overlaps or periods of higher workload, and have better visibility into my availability across projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive and Effective Resource Management with Float.com"

5/5

What do you like best about Float.com?

I really like Float.com's UI/UX because it's easy to navigate and user-friendly. It makes handling everything much easier. I also find the review and cost reports very helpful, especially for project costs and time recording. The developer API is great too; it's straightforward and easy to integrate with other applications. Generating and extracting reports is simple, which is a huge plus for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

As of now, I would say the currency in terms of our cost rates for people is a limitation. I know Float.com is just starting to implement this feature, but I believe it's still in beta and that's a current limitation we're having. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?

Float.com simplifies resource management by providing easy time recording for all users, including external ones. Its user-friendly UI makes navigation effortless, while the API allows straightforward integration. Generating project cost reports is easier, enhancing productivity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Clear, Visual Resource Planning That Makes Scheduling Easy"

4/5

What do you like best about Float.com?

What I like best about Float is how clear and visual the resource planning is. The timeline view makes it easy to see who is allocated to what at a glance, which helps catch capacity issues early and avoid over‑ or under‑booking people. It’s also quick to adjust schedules when priorities change, and the interface is intuitive enough that team members can get up to speed without much training. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

What I dislike about Float is that some more advanced reporting and customization options feel limited without exporting data. While the core scheduling works well, digging deeper into trends or historical insights can require extra steps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?

Float solves the problem of unclear resource allocation and capacity planning. Before using it, it was difficult to get a quick, accurate view of who was available, who was overbooked, and where potential conflicts might arise. Float provides a single, visual overview of schedules and workloads, which makes planning much more predictable.

This benefits me by reducing last‑minute conflicts, improving workload balance across the team, and making it easier to adjust plans when priorities change. It saves time, improves visibility, and helps make resource decisions with more confidence rather than guesswork. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
