## About Finto
Finto believes that within two years the first accounts payable departments will run autonomously. The Munich company builds AI agents that check incoming invoices, assess the tax treatment, code them, match them to purchase orders and post them straight into the ERP. Behind that sits a technology shift. For decades, accounting software could only assist: OCR read the text, machine learning suggested codes, workflows routed approvals. A person still did the booking. Large language models change the job. Finto books where it is confident and hands the case to the team where it is not, with a confidence score and a short explanation on every posting line. The agent takes the invoice from inbox to booked entry. Documents arrive by email, scan or PDF. Header and line items get extracted, amounts and tax rates get checked, duplicates get caught, and suppliers get matched against ERP creditor master data. If something is missing or inconsistent, the agent writes the supplier. What comes out is not a suggestion list but a finished journal entry: GL account, tax key, cost center, cost object. Approvals can run in multiple steps, then the document posts into DATEV, SAP or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Early customers already process more than 80% of invoices touchless, including cost invoices. Cycle times drop, Skonto is easier to catch, and the team spends less time on the same correction loops. Finto is built for mid-market groups and enterprises with complex posting structures. Data stays in the EU on ISO 27001-certified infrastructure. The platform is DSGVO and GoBD aligned, with SSO and a per-invoice audit log, and customer data is never used to train AI models.
