What do you like best about Everlaw?

Everlaw is super easy to navigate. This is my first time interacting with this software to review documents and I was able to catch on fairly quickly, especially compares to prior experience with other applications. The interface is very user friendly and intuitive. There is no lag when clicking between screens or pages of documents. Overall, very satisfied with this being the software I will be using during my time with this law firm. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Everlaw?

One downside that I have noticed is clicking the tags or coding options isn't always efficient. Meaning I click the "tags" button the right screen while reviewing a document and instead of showing the dropdown menu, a tip or nothing appears. This may be because I am using a laptop and need a bigger screen to give the button more space to comply with my command. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Everlaw?

The thing I like most about Everlaw is the visual layout of the search function. Being able to select the fields I want to search on by simply clicking on the color-coded buttons is extremely user friendly. Furthermore, being able to directly access the searches that have been shared me through the "Shared with me" option is way easier than the similar function in Relativity. I also really appreciate how easy it is to assign searches to my own folder so I don't lose track of them. Customer support has been great as well, anytime I have had access issues a representative has resolved them almost immediately. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Everlaw?

Even after sitting through an Everlaw training course, I am still very confused as to the difference between Assignments, Searches, Binders and Document Sets. The shared with me page is a little overwhelming with all of the different boxes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Everlaw solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a third-party consultant we normally use the Relativity sites set up by the attorneys. This is actually the first time I have used Everlaw. From my standpoint, the problems that Everlaw solves relate to the ease in identifying and archiving searches and documents for later reference. Furthermore, the integrated communications (e.g., receiving notification emails when something is shared with me) is a major upgrade from Relativity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Hi Sam, and thank you for taking the time to share this feedback. You’re right that Everlaw doesn’t currently show dates directly on saved searches, which can make it tougher to QC them at a glance. Today, many teams handle that kind of auditing by looking at user activity (for example, to see when specific users ran or modified searches) when they need more context on how a search was used over time. We know this isn’t as convenient as having dates surfaced right on the searches themselves, and we’re continuing to refine the search experience with feedback like yours in mind.

Hi Tracy, and thank you for taking the time to share this feedback. On the search side, Everlaw does dynamically update search results as data changes, but in practice you may need to re-run or re-open a saved search to see the latest documents reflected in the results table. If you’re ever seeing behavior that looks inconsistent with that, our support team would be glad to look at a specific example with you.

On sharing, Everlaw is intentionally designed so that items like searches, binders, and other objects are only visible to people they’ve been shared with, rather than automatically showing everyone everything by default. This helps keep homepages focused and avoids overwhelming case teams with work product that isn’t relevant to them. That said, we know it can still feel like extra clicks, even with options to quickly share with admin groups or entire user groups, and we’re always looking at ways to streamline collaboration while keeping projects organized so thank you for sharing your feedback with us.

Can you reconfigure the platform so users and establish families independent of the order in which the documents were uploaded?

We do a lot of work with load files after productions to make them simpler for counsels to review. Would Everlaw look at including a visually appealing spreadsheet option in load file exports?
