"A Game-Changer for Fast, Reliable District-Wide Emergency Notifications for Public Schools"

What do you like best about Everbridge 360 (Critical Event Management)?

Here’s a polished version that keeps the substance of your experience while making it appropriate for a professional G2 review:

Since 2022, Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) District Police Communications has developed a strong partnership with Everbridge while implementing its Mass Communication Notification platform as an integration with our police CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) system.

Scott Nethero went above and beyond to help us develop a customized solution that met the unique needs of our district. This involved many hours of collaboration through emails and Microsoft Teams meetings, as well as coordination with our CentralSquare CAD vendor and the OCPS Information Technology Services (ITS) department.

Through extensive uploading, testing, re-testing, reconfiguring, and fine-tuning, we successfully developed a streamlined four-step notification process. What previously required multiple time-consuming steps can now be accomplished much more efficiently, allowing critical information to be distributed quickly when every minute matters.

The Everbridge integration has also helped bridge communication gaps by improving information sharing among our schools, surrounding law enforcement agencies, district leadership, operational departments, and the learning division. Members of the Everbridge portal can also opt in to receive additional notifications through personal phone calls or text messages, helping ensure critical information reaches the appropriate people quickly.

For a large school district, timely and accurate communication is essential. This solution has been a game changer for our team by improving efficiency, strengthening situational awareness, and supporting faster, more informed decision-making across the organization.

Most importantly, Scott’s commitment to understanding our operational needs and working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders was instrumental in making the integration successful. His responsiveness, persistence, and willingness to work through challenges made a significant difference for our team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Incredibly Customizable and Stellar Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Everbridge 360 (Critical Event Management)?

We use the Everbridge 360 system as our university’s primary emergency mass-notification tool. I really appreciate how responsive the Everbridge 360 (Critical Event Management) technical team is—they’re always ready to support us and troubleshoot whatever we need. I also like how flexible and customizable the system is overall. It’s an impressive platform that provides a wide range of resources beyond just sending alerts.

The setup was straightforward, and the Everbridge team made the integration process smooth. We also integrate it with Modo Labs to connect with our university app, social media channels, and Alertus software, which further enhances its functionality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Everbridge 360 (Critical Event Management)?

The only area that really comes to mind is training. Their platform already provides extensive support and training through Everbridge University, but it would be helpful to receive more targeted information about specific trainings that match our needs, so we can share it with our dispatchers who are responsible for sending alerts. "Powerful Alerting, but Unreliable, Overly Complex, and Backed by Poor Support"
1.5/5
What do you like best about Everbridge 360 (Critical Event Management)?

The Everbridge system offers a lot of capabilities and the capacity to send huge numbers of alerts quickly through many channels (text, cell, landline, etc.). That said, some recent alerts and a massive outage have made me question how reliable it is in practice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Everbridge 360 (Critical Event Management)?

The complexity of the system is extreme for administrators maintaining the system - but also for people sending alerts. Some of this is due to the highly configurable nature of the system - but Everbridge fails to do enough to shield users from the numerous complexities. That makes for a very difficult & error prone user experience.

Support & the fixing of bugs is very poor. Support is too often not helpful & doesn't always understand their own product in sufficient detail (perhaps due to the range of products they support). Bugs too often are met with 'product is operating as intended' & a suggestion that you submit a 'request for enhancement.'

During a total outage a few months ago, no one at Everbridge notified us that the system was completely down. This was unconscionable for a vendor of a critical public safety system.

Account management, which should be a place you can get assistance is escalating problems, provides mediocre help & poor follow up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Quick to Learn, Easy to Use, Reliable Crisis Communications"
5/5
What do you like best about Everbridge 360 (Critical Event Management)?

Everbridge's user interface is intuitive and learner-friendly. We have a small team of users that I was able to easily train on how to perform their duties.

We recently completed an integration with our new human resources platform - our Everbridge account manager was able to provide simple instructions that allowed us to perform the integration in under an hour.

From a performance perspective, the platform has exceeded expectations and allowed us to rapidly send targeted notifications to frontline employees regarding physical security alerts that include images and guidelines.

Continuing to partner and renew our contract with Everbridge was an easy decision this budget season as the price for the capability is an excellent return on investment. Plus, Everbridge's continued growth and development promise increasing opportunities to integrate new and improved products to support our own growing organization. The support team has also been exceptional at walking us through the different capabilities and scaling packages to the capability and price best-suited for us. What do you dislike about Everbridge 360 (Critical Event Management)?

In complete honesty, we haven't noticed anything that we dislike at this time. Usually, user interface and learning how to use a system would be the biggest challenge, but Everbridge has proven incredibly intuitive and easy to learn. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Everbridge 360 (Critical Event Management)?

I would like more options with messaging people via geofencing or location (i.e. urgency of message sent based on location, ability to send various urgency level messages) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Pivotal for Quick Emergency Response"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Everbridge 360 (Critical Event Management)?

I appreciate the real-time picture Everbridge 360 (Critical Event Management) gives me of every asset and the risks they face. It allows me to see the whole estate at a glance, which has changed how I keep watch over our systems. I love how it seamlessly integrates with the platforms we already run, making it feel like a part of our existing environment. It simplifies passing information between departments without the need to manually stitch together separate tools. Its integration capabilities allow it to automatically map a fault signal to the associates tied to a system, which saves me the effort of manually working out who to warn and how to contact them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Everbridge 360 (Critical Event Management)?

My one criticism is that setting up the workflow to reach particular groups for particular events can occasionally take some fiddling. The logic behind who gets notified when is not always as direct as I would like. That said, their support team has consistently smoothed the path, and what looked knotty at the outset has always been sorted without much trouble. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reduced our emergency response times significantly"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Everbridge 360 (Critical Event Management)?

I really appreciate the geographic targeting feature of Everbridge 360 (Critical Event Management). It's perfect in crisis situations, allowing me to make a virtual line over the refinery area impacted on the map. The system then only alerts staff inside that danger zone, which is great for avoiding mass panic in the entire manufacturing complex. The automated text-to-speech capability that plays voice warnings on radios has been a huge help as well, especially since heavy protective equipment can prevent communication with remote field workers. This feature successfully reduced evacuation response times by three minutes per incident. Also, the initial setup was quite easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Everbridge 360 (Critical Event Management)?

I continue to experience the same problem with the admin dashboard—it gets frozen when trying to upload large employee contact lists. After a few hours of background tracking, it consumes the entire battery power from the phone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"All-in-One Risk Tracking with Clean Dashboards and Time-Saving Bulk Uploads"
5/5
What do you like best about Everbridge 360 (Critical Event Management)?

I enjoy that everbridge 360 provides an all in one place for all event and risk management tracking as opposed to many scattered excel files. The dashboards are relatively aesthetically pleasing and allow for ease of viewing when controls fail. Also doing bulk uploads via excel has worked well most of the time saving me hours of manual data entry. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Everbridge 360 (Critical Event Management)?

It takes forever to set up advanced features and I need too much help to get it running and when you mess up a bulk upload, you can’t just delete the entire batch, you have to manually delete links one by one which makes me want to scream. Also custom reports are super rigid, so if my boss wants a very specific view, I will simply export all and do it myself anyway. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Essential for Crisis Communication, Needs Setup Refinement"
4/5
What do you like best about Everbridge 360 (Critical Event Management)?

I really appreciate the Everbridge 360 (Critical Event Management) platform for its consolidated dashboard. During incidents, I don't want to be wasting time looking through menus, and having all the important controls on one screen really cuts down on frustration. The multi-channel delivery system is great too, as it helps ensure notifications reach the team by voice, message, and email at the same time, so no critical alerts are missed if someone steps away from their desk. I also find safety confirmations very useful because I can see real-time acknowledgements, which lets me immediately know who has been reached and who needs follow-up, instead of working through a call list manually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Everbridge 360 (Critical Event Management)?

New administrators find the volume of configuration options daunting, and I have spent time walking colleagues through the setup before they felt confident. Acknowledgement handling could also be smarter, because devices continue receiving alerts after a person has already responded. The mobile application occasionally lags when I am checking team positions during a demanding period. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlines Communication During Critical Events"
4/5
What do you like best about Everbridge 360 (Critical Event Management)?

I appreciate how Everbridge 360 (Critical Event Management) resolves the fragmented communication that used to happen during disruptions. It allows me to establish which of our traveling parties are exposed and communicate with them and the partners handling arrangements simultaneously, rather than relying on a chain of individual calls. I love the clarity it brings when something urgent needs to be communicated, as I can issue an update confidently and ensure it reaches the intended group. The ability to choose the channel based on urgency is also incredibly valuable, helping me treat minor itinerary adjustments differently from genuine disruptions. Additionally, the integration with Airtable and HubSpot simplifies the contact process, since our groups are already segmented and client details are easily accessible. The initial setup was actually pretty simple, which was a relief. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Everbridge 360 (Critical Event Management)?

Tailoring the communication rules to a particular scenario is more laborious than it ought to be. When circumstances shift, adjusting the message paths mid-flight is not as straightforward as I would like. The formatting options are also somewhat spare, which works against me when a message carries detail that needs to be read precisely rather than skimmed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
