For ML Prague, the agenda is clean and easy to follow. Our audience is quite technical, so it’s important that people can quickly scan sessions and plan their day without overthinking it. The Q&A feature is especially valuable for me. Questions are ranked by votes, which improves the interaction with speakers and makes sessions more interesting. Instead of passing around a microphone, you get relevant questions that actually add value, and you can moderate them. Session feedback is another key part. Right after each talk, we get a clear signal of what worked and what didn’t. As a program organizer, that’s very useful to understand which topics resonate and improve future editions. Overall, it just covers the essentials without adding complexity, and it works reliably. **What do you dislike about Eventee?** The only downside is more on my side. I probably haven’t spent enough time exploring all the features the platform offers, so I’m sure there’s still more value we could get from it. **What problems is Eventee solving and how is that benefiting you?** Eventee solves some of the typical headaches of running a conference program. It makes the agenda easy to navigate, improves how attendees interact with speakers through Q&A, and gives immediate feedback after each session. Also, having everything in the app means we don’t need to print the agenda. That alone saves a lot of time coordinating with designers, printing, and logistics, which is something you don’t really think about until you’ve had to deal with it. We’ve been using it for Machine Learning Prague for several years, and it just works every time. From the organizer side, you can have everything ready in an afternoon. Setting up the agenda, push notifications, partners, and the event feed is super straightforward. The first time I used it, it literally took me 5 minutes to understand how everything works. During the event, it’s especially useful to move people towards talks and partner booths using push notifications. The Q&A feature makes it much easier to manage questions for speakers without chaos, and the feedback after each session gives you a clear view of which talks and topics people actually enjoyed. The networking feature solves a very real problem: a lot of people attend conferences alone, or don’t feel comfortable starting conversations. Instead of waiting for the afterparty to break the ice, they can start connecting directly through the app, which makes networking much easier and more natural. From the attendee side, the feedback we get is simple: no complaints. And honestly, that says a lot. We’ve tried other tools in the past. Hopin worked well for virtual events but was very expensive, and I’m not sure how it would perform for in-person events. In the end, it’s worth paying for because it gives you exactly what you need for a physical event: it’s easy to use, looks great, and above all, it’s extremely reliable. We’ve been using it for 4 years without any operational issues, and they keep improving the product over time. **What do you dislike about Eventee?** In previous years, we missed having a built-in registration feature, as we had to manage that part externally. That said, they’ve already implemented it, and we’re planning to use it for the first time this year. So it looks like they’re actively improving the product and covering those gaps over time. **What problems is Eventee solving and how is that benefiting you?** Eventee basically solves a lot of the typical headaches you have when running a physical conference. First, communication. Instead of people being lost or missing info, you can just send push notifications or post updates in the feed and move people where you need them. Super useful when you want to push attendees to specific talks or partner areas. Then the whole Q&A part. Without a tool like this, it can get messy really fast. With Eventee everything is organized, so speakers get better questions and the sessions flow much better. Another big one is feedback. You instantly see what talks people liked and which ones didn’t land that well. That’s something you normally only guess. It also helps a lot with networking. Many people come alone or don’t feel super comfortable starting conversations. Instead of waiting for the afterparty, they can start connecting through the app, which makes things way easier.
