Esker Pricing FAQs

Is Esker free, or does it offer a free trial?

No. According to G2 data, Esker does not offer a free plan or free trial. Users need to purchase a paid plan to access the product. Visit the seller's official pricing page for current pricing details and plan options.

Who is Esker pricing best suited for?

Based on G2 reviewer demographics and sentiment, Esker's pricing is best suited for mid-market and enterprise organizations in manufacturing, automotive, accounting, and logistics that process high invoice or order volumes and need structured AP automation or collections workflows. Small businesses in construction and accounting also report positive outcomes, particularly around cloud accessibility and ease of implementation. G2 reviews suggest Esker fits teams willing to work within its standard feature set; organizations requiring deep ERP customization or highly collaborative invoice workflows may find the cost-to-value ratio less favorable, as noted by enterprise reviewers in financial services and farming.

What are the key differences between the free and paid versions of Esker?

No free version or free trial for Esker appears in G2's pricing data. Esker's pricing is based entirely on custom quotes, with no published tiers. G2 reviewers highlight that Esker's paid plans follow a customization-cost model: core AP automation, order processing, and collections functionality are included, but additional workflows, integrations, and feature extensions require paid customization work. One enterprise G2 reviewer in financial services explicitly noted that every customization adds implementation cost, ongoing maintenance fees, and upgrade retrofitting charges. Buyers evaluating Esker's pricing should budget beyond the base contract for any configuration beyond standard out-of-box capabilities.

Is Esker considered good value for its pricing?

G2 reviews of Esker present a split picture on value. Small business and mid-market reviewers in accounting, medical devices, and food and beverage report strong ROI through invoice automation, collections efficiency, and order entry time savings. Enterprise reviewers in manufacturing and financial services praise AP automation gains but flag that heavy customization carries compounding costs: implementation fees, ongoing maintenance, and retrofit charges on upgrades. Two reviewers gave 0.0 ratings, citing failed integration and unreliable OCR in 2026. One enterprise reviewer noted Esker reduces AP headcount but frustrates end users. Esker's pricing delivers clearer value for straightforward deployments; heavily customized enterprise rollouts risk cost overruns that erode the return.

"Highly Effective, Intuitive Order Management with Outstanding Esker Support"

What do you like best about Esker?

My team finds the order management tool highly effective, intuitive, and easy to use. We have also been consistently pleased with the level of engagement and support provided by the Esker team, whose responsiveness and collaboration have contributed positively to our overall experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Esker?

Overall, we have had a positive experience with Esker. One area for improvement would be platform performance during peak periods, as occasional slowness can impact processing efficiency and business operations. We would also appreciate greater transparency and proactive communication during service disruptions. Currently, we do not receive notifications when there is an ongoing server or platform issue and are often only made aware of problems after users begin experiencing them or after manually checking TrustEsker. Timely alerts and status updates would help us manage business expectations, reduce investigation time, and communicate impacts more effectively to stakeholders. What do you like best about Esker?

No feature is really suited to the need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Esker?

Few means for the user to classify invoices (no flags, no customizable categories, etc.)

Very questionable and surprisingly unreliable character recognition (OCR) performance in 2026.

An aging interface that does not retain the layout (it needs to be reset with each new login)

No control over inconsistent workflows: an invoice can be postponed indefinitely.

No possibility for simultaneous collaborative work: an invoice can only be assigned to one user at a time (a "forum" mode would be more effective in some cases)

The export module for reports is not intuitive enough Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
