I like ESET Protect (the revised version of the former ESET console) as it gives me easy to view insight into the goings on of all our desktop clients and servers protected by ESET. From the dashboard I can easily see the status of all clients, whether local or remote, to make sure that compliance with our settings is being achieved. I can easily click through the various tabs of the dashboard to check status on virus rejection, attempted firewall intrusions, software version compliance, and suspect files that have been uploaded to ESET Live Grid and Dynamic Threat Defense for further examination by their experts. I don't really dislike anything about ESET PROTECT, which is why I keep renewing protection for our company year after year. Years ago the console was much harder to use and evaluate what was happening, but with the latest releases I find it easy to use. I think it's a great value for the level of protection we receive. The UI and UX by far are the best part of ESET. It's extremely easy to use which means the back end users actually run it. I've tried to get staff to run other Virus scanners with no success. This is an extremely easy to use tool that even features a drag and drop option. It integrates in with our outlook which also helps to ease user's minds when opening up attachments. Honestly, the only thing I've heard complaints about is the programs pop up on startup. The fact that the program opens at startup is excellent, it's just the intrusive pop up that bothers people. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
ESET PROTECT Advanced runs unnoticed by the user, except for a quick ESET screen that flashes on your display when turning on your computer. It does not compromise the speed or efficiency of my computer. We have not had any virus concerns on our PC's, tablets, or server since we installed this product 3 years ago. It protects us so that we can concentrate on serving our clients without concerns of data breeches or computer down time due to virus infection. It is cost efficient for individuals as well as businesses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are no downsides of ESET PROTECT Advanced that I have encountered in the 3 years that our office has used the product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The program is lightweight and easy to use, most of my users don't even notice it is even running. The administration console is fairly easy to use, thought there is a process to most tasks. It does a great job at handholding some of the more "adventurous" users with warning screens and filters.
The product stays up to date, sometimes the client software received new definitions several times a day, and upgrading the client install is easy to do remotely.
Support has been great and has been able to help or resolve any issue we have brought up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of the tasks can be a bit cumbersome to setup and ensure that they run.
Additionally, when we first setup ESET AV we had to disable some of the Outlook features because it was really slowing down mailflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The program is light weight on the endpoint and the server settings are easy to setup and manage. Once it's in place, there isn't a whole lot to do other than keep the license up to date and install it on the endpoints. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The agent doesn't automatically update and that has to be manually pushed out when major updates occur. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Eset endpoint security is the protector of our system for many years. Most I like in Eset is its low impact on pcs resources and not slowing down the computer. Eset endpoint security helped us to manage all endpoints from one location using its centralized console. Eset provides frequent updates, but it does not disturb any of our work, and this also has a powerful scanning system that secured the network from many kinds of viruses, malware, ransomware, rootkits, and worms and more. This supports many OSs and implementation is quite simple. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is a little complex to create rules, and its excellent if there is a web version of the management console. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Easy to install and maintain. Updates work well and are compatible with most operating systems. No system slowdowns or crashes. Complete protection against hackers, malware, and data loss. This is suitable for any computer and works well for any servers. Makes all notifications about the system and greatly facilitates users. So far no virus has been able to interfere with the ESET antivirus software functionality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Works well with systems. Nothing to dislike or any problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
ESET has great 24/7 support, gives you the confidence your computers and servers are protected at a high level, minimal impact on system resources, and doesn't break the bank at renewal time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
ESET is very granular, and sometimes that means finding options and settings in the enterprise console can be a chore. It would be nicer to have a better application whitelist section as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
ESET Endpoint Security is lightweight endpoint security which does not slow down my laptop. Its interface is simple and easy to use. Its protection for viruses and ransomware is at the highest level. It can detect and clean viruses quickly whenever I plugged in a USB drive. ESET Endpoint Security does not conflict with other software on my laptop and works perfectly. Automatic updates and silent scans in the background is a big plus mark. Also, devices can be managed and monitored from a single portal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would like to see Eset has reduced its pop-ups notifications. It is annoying sometimes. Scanning time could be minimized, but I can work with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Maintains a simple deployment on any desktop to which you want to integrate this software, mentioning that its functionalities are of guaranteed high quality, allowing a flow in the security of your operations on the server you are operating, which is very important to safeguard your systematic processes against threats, being one of my favorite systems due to its strategies against viruses, including that it acquires a totally affordable price, in exchange for very convenient purposes at business terms that are based precisely on a virtual environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The remote management that this software acquires is a challenge to execute, mentioning that it maintains many nefarious procedures, which slow down the initial implementation processes when we want to exercise these strategies as a principle, to reduce the margin of possible threats in a drastic way, mentioning that this option being difficult, it is a very significant problem in large proportions, including that its automatic integrations are impossible in the same way. We have many years of experience working with this software and it is very easy to use and you can get good results under ESET servers. Compared to the antivirus software we have used before, this software has given us solutions to many problems. Among these issues, this ESET antivirus software has solved issues such as system slowdowns, non-updates, and other issues that may arise after the update. In fact, ESET antivirus software performs its security functions freely in the system and does not cause problems with other software in the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
No shortcomings. best and user-friendly antivirus application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sleek interface and works as expected every time. All policies and remote administration is straightforward and thoroughly documented if there are questions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lack of features. Product previously had the option to redirect where agent needed to communicate to in case remote administrator server failed. Agent now needs to be uninstalled/reinstalled for it to communicate to the appropriate location. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have been using ESET for over 4 years and it has never given me any problems. Downloading the virus signatures are fast and always up to date. When is time to renew the license, I don't have to remove the software and reinstall it. The interface is easy to use and follow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is not much to dislike about this company or product. But, I was a little disappointed when I had to renew, the website only displays the bundles. I only need coverage for my Windows Sever. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ease of use and the functionality of the admin portal. We really do enjoy the ease of installation, setup and managing. As a first time ESET Admin, found that there are a lot of additional functions with an AV product that really benefited us as a company. We are able to manage our Windows Updates, software installations, and pull inventory management. There are a lot of strong functions that make this the best option. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of the program update features are kind of cumbersome. We have found that we need to run the software update multiple times to make sure everything is updated on a regular basis. The thing that I would change here about this function is to set a update to be released and as soon as a workstation comes online that it reaches out to the management console to see if there is released software. This I think would be a huge updated to the present setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like how ESET remains in the background, out of the way. I completely forget I have it running on my computer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really can't think of anything to dislike. I've never run into any feature of the software that I felt could be improved upon. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Eset is very easy to use and can be trusted to keep our network safe. It detects malicious emails and removes them before there is even a chance of opening it. It also blocks access attempts in real time and notifies you of the blocked event. Customer service is very helpful when renewing licenses as well. Overall, the software is some of the best I've used in terms of ease of installation, ease of customization, and is better at finding and eliminating threats. As the only IT professional in the building, it puts me at ease knowing its monitoring threat potential 24/7. Its so well liked that I personally use it on our home devices, including Samsung phones and my coworkers use it personally as well. Esets other security programs are also very useful like cyber security pro. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It slows down MAC OS at startup and with MACs continuous OS upgrades, Eset sometimes lags behind and causes functional issues on the MAC OS. On windows there are no complaints at all. I dislike that true updates must be manually downloaded from Esets website when a new version is released. This is required even when automatic updates are enabled. We have use last 5 years in Eset endpoint security software on my company. Very fast and high speed detection engine for my company daily usage for eset endpoint security Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Many years use for Eset endpoint security for my company but no any problem until today. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Easy to install on new clients and I would say overall good protection. We have it running on 100+ computers and it works well however it does have conflicts with 3rd party programs sometimes. Some of the programs might have issues with any anti-virus so I can't say it is only on ESET but it has caused us to use a few work-arounds. Pretty light on resources as compared to some other apps out there and the overall speed is good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Management interface / license management is absolutely terrible. It gives good info on the main screen but trying to do anything else is next to impossible. They have one role for license administrator, one role for management and then a separate role for whoever installs the actual license on the client. They can't all 3 do the same thing and there have been times I've had to login as multiple people just to remove an old PC from the license list. TERRIBLE Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
