"Managed Security Services Provider"

ESentire helped us increase our security footprint and protection by providing 24x7 visibility and remediation throughout our offices globally as well as now on our endpoints situated outside of a company office. With a lean team thin on time and resources, our ability to effectively outsource this function to an effective and reliable partner has proven to be a asset.

What do you like best?

We view eSentire as truly an extension of our internal security team and process. They are a reliable partner that we can count on for fast responses and remediation. In the longer term, they continue to evolve to meet the changing security needs of our company both dictated to us by regulators and internally driven.

What do you dislike?

We have had a recent run of issues on the SOHO platform of network intercept devices. In light of that, eSentire has reacted swiftly to rectify these challenges. While frustrating to deal with for repeated devices, eSentire has come through to provide good support and an effective long-term resolution.

"Consistent dependable identification and response"

Describe the project or task the product helped with:

eSentire provide a complete security monitoring wrap using their Network Interceptor, Log Sentry and Carbon Black integrated solution. This is then integrated with our managed service provider to remediate identified events.

What do you like best?

eSentire have managed to perform consistently through the duration of the service with events identified and alerted on in a timely manor.

What do you dislike?

Formal responses to known vulnerabilities can take time to reach clients, often having already broken in the media.

Management reporting could be improved to provide an summary of the clients security posture.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Lessons were learnt on both sides when implementation the solution with a managed service provider. Not ensure upfront workshops and knowledge sharing was performed hence a very piecemeal delivery. But we got there in the end

"eSentire - A professional, pragmatic and persistent IT security service provider."

Our business relationship started in 2015 with a 3 month defense in depth implementation project that includes eSentire's network and SIEM solutions across our European offices. Between then and now eSentire provides managed detection and response services that are tightly coupled with our internal security incident response.

What do you like best?

eSentire's staff are knowledgeable, helpful and professional. Our collaboration aids organizational learning and maturity process, that comes from practical advice for process and technology as well as setting a high standard.

What do you dislike?

Where can eSentire improve:

1. Improve the (trend) reports to act as actionable input for ISMS and execution plans, providing historic and predictive insight.

2. Technical state compliance monitoring to provide assurance.

3. Improve integrated incident ticket management and technology to aid with collaboration in incident response.

4. Improve Cloud services offering, negate relying on physical SPAN.

"Identifying anamolous behavior made easy"

I have been using eSentire's network analytics services internally. They have given me and my staff unprecedented insight to IOCs. M company is expanding its Managed Services Offerings, and eSentire is a big part of this solution. They have become an extension of my security team, making my job much easier and my team more effective.

What do you like best?

They are easy to work with. The alerts sent are in English and easy to consume. When additional information is needed, the SOC's efficient and knowledgeable team is helpful and very communicative.

What do you dislike?

I would like to see more robust and customizable reporting form the dahsboard

24x7 coverage for our network - at all endpoints and all gateways. Needed to supplement full-time staff with a service that could identify and react to an issue on our network 24x7.

What do you like best?

Great implementation process - organized and on-time.

Willingness and ability to work with my organization to mold the solution to make it work best for US.

Tuning phase was well run wedge transfer with internal staff was great.

Genuine culture with a focus on client satisfaction.

What do you dislike?

Some of their newer technologies tend toward the very technical and lack polish. I'll take the rough edges though as a price for access to some cutting-edge features.

eSentire has provided managed network security monitor for several different firms I have worked for. They are one of the best and most trusted vendors I have worked with. When it comes to mitigated security risks, they make my life much better.

What do you like best?

The fact that someone is watching my network 24 x7.

What do you dislike?

I have had a relationship with eSentire since 2001. While this is difficult to believe, I cannot remember any significant issue.

What do you like best?

eSentire provides timely detecting, alerting and mitigating all threats on our network. They are always available to discuss threats in detail and provide extensive support for our organization. The intelligence we have received from eSentire has helped protect our organization from breaches and other threats. Any organization looking to outsource their SOC services should use eSentire.

What do you dislike?

They need a better reporting structure. That is the only criticism.

Esentire is our managed soc as well as intrusion detection and prevention provider.

What do you like best?

Their soc and responsiveness is exceptional and very prompt. Issues get resolved in extremely timely manner.

What do you dislike?

The out of band ids is not preferred. I would like it to be inline.

Ongoing cybersecurity for my office. Help with alerts for malware.

What do you like best?

The Real time alerts are helpful. It is also helpful to get alerts about executable files being downloaded

What do you dislike?

There is nothing I dislike, I just am not sure how much it is adding to what we already have in place. Also, the quarterly calls are very redundant.

Consult with other companies of similar size and business model as yours before making a decision.

Our firm needed a security assessment done to gauge our progress as we implemented various cyber security hardening initiatives. eSentire had a comprehensive plan to get metric and provide contiuously updated data on how well our efforts have worked and also provide a roadmap that we could follow for the future.
