**What do you like best about eSentire?**

After an exhaustive RFP process eSentire rose to the top due to their deep bench of people that were experts in different aspects of cybersecurity. They always bring the right expert to the table to discuss our needs, then they help us meet those needs. The alerts we receive are meaningful, detailed, and accompanied by recommended actions. Quarterly review meetings keep us connected and constantly moving in the same direction.

**What do you dislike about eSentire?**

Understanding the breadth of services they offer and prerequisites to using each services takes months to fully digest.

**What problems is eSentire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cities have a difficult time affording and retaining cybersecurity experts on staff that cover 24 hours everyday. eSentire allows us to have 24x7 coverage w/ trained experts - and we don't have to locate, hire, and retain then individually.

**What do you like best about eSentire?**

The Customer Success Management team is excellent. The TRU Intelligence Briefings offer valuable and insightful information. The external traffic monitoring services ensure peace of mind by keeping us informed about any potential issues. Their weekly newsletter is a great resource, providing updates and important news relevant to our work.

**What do you dislike about eSentire?**

It would be beneficial to have a single point of contact with ESOC, as this would enhance their knowledge of our environment and help build a stronger relationship with our team.  Sometimes questions are answered with other questions.

**What problems is eSentire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

eSentire provides 24/7 coverage to help us mitigate our cyber risks via their SOC and SEIM technology.

eSentire has proven their effectiveness in multiple instances.  Alert emails are informative.  Quarterly reviews are some of the best minutes I spend  in meetings; quick, effective and informative.

Calls from SOC engineers can be difficult due to language barriers and accents.

**What problems is eSentire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

eSentire provides 24/7/365 security monitoring for our firm.  They monitor endpoints, end network and logs (SIEM).

I appreciate eSentire’s proactive, around-the-clock threat monitoring and swift response to incidents. Their SOC team feels like a true extension of our internal security staff, always ready to address issues with deep expertise and a calm, solution-oriented approach.

**What do you dislike about eSentire?**

While I don’t have many complaints, some of the advanced configuration options do require a bit of a learning curve, and pricing can be on the higher side compared to basic security solutions. However, given the excellent customer support and the robust protection provided, these factors are easily outweighed by the overall value and peace of mind that eSentire delivers.

**What problems is eSentire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

eSentire’s SOC and MDR solution addresses our critical need for round-the-clock threat monitoring and rapid response to potential security incidents. By proactively identifying suspicious activity, investigating threats in real time, and executing swift containment measures, eSentire significantly reduces our risk exposure and minimizes disruptions to operations.

As a customer of 10 years, watching eSentire grow and maintain the same level of service is beyond impressive.  They are the best at what they do and they also understand the importance of educating their customers on emerging cybersecurity threats and topics of concern.

eSentire has grown so fast that staying up to date on new product and service offerings has been a challenge.  I'm used to vendors harassing and upselling me constantly which is not what they do so it's on me to be a little more proactive in seeing what's new with them.

**What problems is eSentire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

eSentire provides holistic cybersecurity coverage to my network which is incredibly beneficial as blanket coverage to the network defenses I have already put in place myself.  They also provide resources in the event I ever do have a breach....knock on wood

Alerting us to any valid cyber threat and then taking action when required.  Eliminating the noise from our alerts down to a handful of meaningful items for our limited team to look into.   This allows my team to service the business more effectively while knowing that we aren't missing a threat.

Fast and professional support 24/7. Very useful eSentire Insight portal. They handle all issues on co-managed devices promptly. They  insistently follow up all issues related to our company.

They didn't send a proper notification for a critical patch of Crowdstrike but this was one time issue.

**What problems is eSentire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They monitor all network traffic and logs 24/7 and notify us for all incidents immediately. It is very beneficial for us because we don't have enough resources to do this.

**What do you like best about eSentire?**

We've been using eSentire for over 5 years. Our experience with them has been great from the very beginning. Implementation is very easy and they are with you every step of the way. They have excellent customer support. Our dedicated customer success manager is always available to help, quick to respond, and loops in other experts when needed to provide expert security guidance. They go above and beyond to make sure we are well-supported, no matter the complexity of the issue. Their threat intelligence briefings and papers are also very helpful. They proactively warn us of current and emerging cyber threats and perform proactive threat hunts which helps us stay a step ahead of potential risks.

Overall, eSentire has proven to be a reliable security partner. The ability to send in multiple signals (endpoing, log, network, vulnerability, identity, etc.) truly set them apart.

**What do you dislike about eSentire?**

No security product or service provider is perfect. When they miscategorize or miss a security event, they learn from it and improve the overall process. As they have grown, we did notice a slight decrease in the quality of their alerts, but they have taken customers feedback and improved.

Staffing security experts is not easy. eSentire provides subject matter experts and seasoned analysts to help us monitor our environment 24x7x365.

**What do you like best about eSentire?**

I like the communication we reveive from our rep, engineer and technical support.  We have quaartely reviews and this help our team stay on track and up to date on our security posture.  The heavy lifting is odne by the eSentire team and we just monitor dsahboards and e-mail notifications as needed.  The extended benifit of the Tenable tools for monitoring our system and helping us stay proactive on updates and software issues is a big bonus.

I haven't found a downside at all. For us there have been no negetives.

We have a small I.T. staff and don't have a dedicated person and eSentire takes care of that roll for us savin us time and money.

We love the proactive approace eSentire takes with threat assessment and mitigation. The SOC is highly reactive when called upon. It was a very fast implementation and rollout.

The only complaint we have is that you cannot get escalated past tier 1 on the phone hotline.

Inbound IP attacks, malware, and malacious network activity is actively blocked by the various eSentire services we employ.

The eSentire line of products helps our organization maintain a superior security footprint.  As a healthcare institution, we have to be ever watchful of exploits and compromises.  eSentire provides the services that we can't because of staffing and skillset issues.  They keep an eye on things we can can't on a continual basis.  At some point, we have to turn our attention to something else, eSentire continues the monitoring to help maintain our environment.

**What do you dislike about eSentire?**

Catalogue of products is somewhat confusing.  The Carbon Black relationship doesn't provide a complete end point solution.  We can't force scans locally.  That's a big deal.

**What problems is eSentire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Threat monitoring and detection.

Ease of deployment, use and communication is seamless. SOC is quick to respond to issues with informative answers.

Our lack of knowledge on how to utilize Sumo Logic makes us more dependent on eSentire.

Preventing malicious traffic. Alerting on malicious traffic, and compromised sign in's and helping respond to cyber security events by providing needed log information.

24/7 SOC is always responsive, knowledgable and skilled. I know they have my back.

Nothing that I dislike. They could use more staff dedicated to operational issues as opposed to cyber issues.

**What do you like best about eSentire?**

I like that it is easy to see risks and threats by using the services and that I get an email every week with a summary of the threats and risks.   eSentire has helped us identify vulnerabilities much more quickly, determine how to prioritize them, and take steps to address them.   eSentire offers a wide range of features and great customer support, so it was fairly straightforward to integrate and start getting value from the service.  Our engineers and myself are active users of eSentire right now and that was not the case 3 months ago.

**What do you dislike about eSentire?**

It was somewhat hard for us to set everything up correctly, so that we had insight into where the vulnerabilities resided.  We were able to add in some prefixes for our service, which enabled us to identify the source, but it took some time to get it set up correctly.

**What problems is eSentire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

eSentire is enabling us to see vulnerabilities we have and determine how big of a threat they are.  We are now able to make informed decisions about which vulnerabilities we want to address.

Working with their SOC is a good experience.  I feel safe with them watching our network traffic.

**What do you dislike about eSentire?**

There was one occasion where they may have missed some fingerprints that appeared on a network device

eSentire is actively monitoring the traffic going into and out of our network and also performing penetration testing.  The reporting of the pen tests is clear and readable.  They are getting the job done actively distrupting undesireable traffic while providing good cusomter service.

**What do you like best about eSentire?**

Onboarding was fairly painless. Detailed runbooks made it easy to get them integrated.
The ESOC has some extremely talented analysts who are easy to get in touch with and have SME's on a large number of topics.
The team does a great job at keeping the number of false positive alerts within our enviroment to a minimum.
If you can afford it, esentire has the capacity to cover your entire security stack from endpoint, to user to network.

**What do you dislike about eSentire?**

The laceworks product needs some maturation. It is new and provides great data but has provided the most false positives since implementing.
Would prefer a once a month Service review cadance and more frequent checkins.
An annual or 6 month health check review with a technical SME would also be great to ensure that any new infrastructure or implemented hardware/software is being appropriatly accounted for and added to monitoring. E.g. that all new servers are sending data to the SIEM. I believe this is done under the consulting SKU but is an additional cost.
Inability to move to our own IAM for loggins (Azure AD)

eSentire helps us facilitate 24/7 security monitoring, detection, response and investigation.

eSentire provides a comprehensive MDR solution that is scalable for companies of any size.  Their SOC is incredibly responsive and gives us near-instant insight into suspicious activity on endpoints and network assets.  Of late, eSentire has been closely partnering with Microsoft, aligning well with our increased leverage of Azure resources.

**What do you dislike about eSentire?**

I don't have, as of yet, anything I could claim to dislike about eSentire.  They have been a great partner from the beginning of our engagement.

eSentire has helped us increase our security posture significantly, providing 24/7 365 monitoring of a wide array of firm resources, significantly increasing my ability to sleep at night.

**What do you like best about eSentire?**

From the very start of our engagement years ago, eSentire demonstrated a deep understanding of our business and cybersecurity needs. eSentire presented a well-crafted solution that meets requirements of our industry and sets out a plan for how they will mitigate cyber risks specific to our organization. 

We currently have multiple points of security coverage including network, endpoint, and log with them - I can confidently say their solutions have effectively filled the gaps in our system and align with our security strategy. Our team finds their Insight portal easy to use, and we enjoy having complete visibility into our environment. 
I was also very impressed with the ease of setup. Despite the deployment timeline during the winter holidays and the logistical challenges of coordinating international training, eSentire exceeded our expectations during the rollout.

**What do you dislike about eSentire?**

Nothing yet. If there are any gaps, eSentire always addresses them and continues to advance their product roadmap.

**What problems is eSentire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Protecting sensitive data to ensure client privacy and retain competitive advantage was a key business objective for us, but my team couldn’t undertake comprehensive coverage beyond the standard 9-5 business hours. 

When we were shopping for 24/7 coverage, eSentire emerged as an exceptional business partner that delivered outstanding results. They provide around the clock monitoring, global network coverage, and 24/7 support from threat hunters.

eSentire have a wide suite of security products that are availble to us.  They have a great engagement model that drives towards education and is personalized to our environment.  We also appreciate the continuity of resources so we don't have to go to new people every time we have a request for a deeper analysis.

**What do you dislike about eSentire?**

At times, the time between the event being triggered and getting the notification from eSentire seems longer than it should be.  It is always within the SLA but it can be some tense moments while we dig in to the details ourselves.  This be unrealistic as eSentire has to do their own research but would love to see this gap closed.

With eSentire, we can avoid the complexities and costs that come with hiring & training our own experts. Instead, we get high quality support from their SOC analysts and threat hunters who have 24/7 eyes on glass.  eSentire top-of-line XDR platform gathers information from a broad array of signals and context drivers to give us a comprehensive visibility of our environment.  Furthermore the insight portal is easy to use whenever we need to look up investigation details from a specific signal.  It also provide solid audit evidence for our certification audit and client audits.

**What do you dislike about eSentire?**

No major issues with eSentire. Their dedication, expertise, and continuous support have consistently gone above and beyond our expectations.

**What problems is eSentire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before eSentire, my internal security team simply didn't have the capacity or know-how to monitor our environment 24/7. Engaging eSentire has helped us to maintain a strong security posture without straining my own staff. They go above and beyond to proactively identify and address potential vulnerabilities before they have a chance to damage our reputation. 
The insights from eSentire’s threat response unit have been invaluable to us, especially the monthly threat intelligence briefings. They help us stay one step ahead and connect the dots between security events that would have otherwise gone unnoticed. We know eSentire has our backs.  I also leverage eSentire resources as a continous training platform my team.

There was a lot of confusion with meetings and schedules while in transition between account reps, but that would happen about anywhere.

Assessing security vendors is challenging. As a security practitioner, there’s a tendency to constantly feel you’re behind the ever-evolving threat landscape. We needed a cybersecurity solution that would mature with our needs, and eSentire fit the bill. 
For me and my team, eSentire is far more than a security vendor. We trust eSentire as a business partner who’s always on the lookout for us. Their experts are intimately familiar with our environment, and we can trust that they will detect any anomalies in our environment and do everything possible to protect us. 
Having eSentire services allows us to monitor multiple signals within our complex environment. This visibility is critical to being able to identify threats as soon as possible.

**What do you dislike about eSentire?**

I cannot think of anything to dislike about the eSentire services I currently use.

**Recommendations to others considering eSentire:**

This company's customer service, dedication, and services will impress. Give them a shot.

Even though I have a decently sized in house team, you can’t do it all, particularly 24/7. eSentire answered two of our most pressing needs: identifying threats quickly and extending capabilities to respond, minimizing the impact of any threat. 
We know that with eSentire we’re protected by the best security pros in the business. They have a strong track record of developing and retaining talent,  they always deliver high quality support, and they alleviate the pressures on my staff by acting as an extension of our team. 
In short - partnering with eSentire was a cost-effective way for us to maintain 24/7 coverage, get expert guidance, and prioritize resilience.

Our firm needed a security assessment done to gauge our progress as we implemented various cyber security hardening initiatives. eSentire had a comprehensive plan to get metric and provide contiuously updated data on how well our efforts have worked and also provide a roadmap that we could follow for the future.

Proactive responses from the team with information vital to the project. Peace of mind knowing that the "noise" is filtered out and alerts are only for actionable issues.

eSentire has been a game-changer for our organization and is a longtime trusted business partner. 
We rely on their SOC team to provide 24/7 global monitoring across our assets. The value of this investment is evident to our board. With eSentire we benefit from extensive coverage at a fraction of the cost required to build our own SOC.
As a global organization with multiple offices, ease of use and configuration is very important to us. We were able to seamlessly integrate eSentire's detection tools into our systems without wasting time configuring each signal.
Overall, we get an unparalleled level of visibility and threat-hunting expertise with eSentire.

**What do you dislike about eSentire?**

In our experience, we haven’t seen any major problems with eSentire. If any issues arise, we can effectively address them with our Customer Success Manager, who plays a big role as an extension of our team.

**What problems is eSentire solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before engaging with eSentire, our in-house security team struggled to manage alerts and conduct investigations on top of their existing duties. eSentire has become our strong ally in this regard, significantly reducing the workload for our security team.
Since we partnered with eSentire, we’ve seen measurable improvements in our security posture. On multiple occasions, they detected and neutralized threats that would have otherwise slipped under our radar. Their robust EDR solution combined with comprehensive log investigations has greatly improved our defenses.  We get a lot of value from how they operationalize threat intelligence and I’m blown away by the TRU experts on a regular basis.
