It's a small gripe, but it would be nice if Employee Navigator would send automated emails when a renewal is coming up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Completely changed my business."
5/5
What do you like best about Employee Navigator?

The best part is all of the different carriers and resources that are connected. I used to be presenting benefits to my clients, now I am offering a whole package. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Employee Navigator?

The one area I hope Employee navigator improves is the usability. For myself and the clients using it, it can be a little too techy compared to some platforms that are more basic and user friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple to use for employers and employees"
5/5
What do you like best about Employee Navigator?

Employee Navigator is very simple to use and does not require many clicks to get actions completed, whether it is adding an employee or employee enrolling in benefits. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Employee Navigator?

When pulling a report, always having to remember to check 'active' for the employee's employment status box. Would like reports to default to active employees and have a "include terminated employees" check box by the "include dependents" check box. Otherwise pulling reports is very simple. "Employee Navigator has simplified our onboarding and daily maintenance for our client partners."
5/5
What do you like best about Employee Navigator?

Onboarding and uploading census data is a breeze. The day to day maintenance of adds and terms simplifies the process for the Group Admin HR.

Carrier integration for API and XML carriers are amazing.

The HR training available in LIVE or precorded classes gives my client partners the flexibility to learn as they do best. The knowledge base needs a great big arrow for it since it is such a valuable asset. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Employee Navigator?

Adding new hires' address should be part of the onboarding process instead of completing the hire, then having to go back into add the address.

Some of the reporting features are not intuitive. You have to "play" with the reports to be able to get the data output into the correct layout. There should be a whole section for compliance reports for RxDC and enrollment counts that are prefilled and easily identifiable.

The medical carriers need to be encouraged to move away from the 834 feeds that are cumbersome and require manual upkeep. The medical carriers are not able to be fully integrated and it takes a whole class to figure out the 834 integration. Then there is manual updating that is required. It's easier to just maintain enrollment through the carrier's online portals.

The new discrepancy reports need to have a clear contact on resolving the issue on if we need to contact the carrier or EN. There's a lot of pointing the finger at the other guy on whose problem it is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple yet Comprehensive System for HR/Ben Admin!"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Employee Navigator?

Comprehensive in its abilities to manage the most complex employer offerings, but simple enough to be easy to build and manage. The Help Center and EN University is extremely comprehensive for self-service needs; however if additional support is needed the Support Team is extremely responsive and knowledgeable on all aspects of the system. EN is constantly trying to find ways to make the system even easier to use and they are always looking for feedback and suggestions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Employee Navigator?

I think additional support for new Premier users at the agency level would be beneficial. When I was a new user, the EN University was helpful, but would have liked some 1:1 training. Sometimes the answers to questions are buried in the middle of a video and can be tough to find. Having 1:1 training with an EN support person would be beneficial. Also some additional abilities to customize what data can be seen by HR users would be helpful. I have had several clients who wanted an admin from their office to be able to have access to names and addresses, but nothing else. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The Employee Navigator BenAdmin solution FITS!"
5/5
What do you like best about Employee Navigator?

Employee Navigator makes setting up the vast majority of clients with moderate complexity make sense. The items needed to setup a group and their plans are in easy-to-see ways! The foundation of Navigator are classes which can be utilized to define both eligibility AND pricing as well as supporting documentation. This makes delivery of automated benefit administration unique and consistent to the benefit eligible population for small to mid-sized groups easier than ever before. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Employee Navigator?

Connecting the collection of documentation for Life Events to tasks is cumbersome in that HR views the request of and collection of the supporting documentation for the event should be part of the employee's initial Life Event request, not a separate action the HR Admin needs to take (assigning the 'task' of collecting the documentation once the Life Event has been received and reviewed). Instead, at the time the Life Event is being requested the site should ask the employee to submit the required documentation so that HR can review it and approve it OR request additional information, thus cutting down on back and forth and the administrative burden that HR looks at this feature as currently. "Engaging Clients with Employee Navigator"
5/5
What do you like best about Employee Navigator?

EN is easy for Groups and employees to use as a benefit platform. They can also use this platform for PTO tracking, certification, asset tracking, syncing with payroll companies and ACA reporting. All available on one platform. EN also has the ability to provide benefit enrollment info to the carriers thru 834 EDI file feeds or thru the Data Exchange file feeds. All these connections assist with eliminating the need to enter the same information in multiple platforms, thus reducing the chance for input errors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Employee Navigator?

I think some of the constraints when using EN exist in the email blasts, with the inability to attach documents to the blast. Another restriction is the required monthly manual sync process when bridging with Colonial Accounts. One would think this could be automated, seems to work with UNUM. Having the ability to modify contact info when an employee gets a connecting error message. For Colonial products it asks the employees to contact enrollment solutions, who then transfer them to a colonial office. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
