"Fantastic platform for rapid development of CAD configurators"

What do you like best about DynaMaker?

The fast iteration time, built-in CD/CI and included hosting. That is not often mentioned, but have saved me so much time. To be able to fix a bug and have it tested and published in under a minute is so valuable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DynaMaker?

Current lack of source control and shared components/libraries. You do surprisingly well without it, but that is something that stands out coming from local development land. What do you like best about DynaMaker?

Ability to easily create parametric 3D models.

The in-built support for generating drawings & 3D-files from your model is invaluable.

Fast support response times, their team is very receptive to feature requests and suggestions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DynaMaker?

No version control (as of writing this review). This is on their roadmap.

Certain features from the underlying three.js library are not yet exposed, such as camera controls.

Documentation can be lacking, no central source of what certain classes contain (properties, methods, return values, etc). The main documentation is currently made up of smaller tutorials/snippets that aren't fully exhaustive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DynaMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?

Previously we used homebrew three.js solutions for generating and displaying 3D-models, which worked fine for simple projects.

The main benefit for us of switching to DynaMaker is the built-in support for generating drawings and 3D-files which are normally a pain to generate. Their team is very experienced with 3D modelling/configurating and have implemented a lot of very useful 3D modelling feature into DynaMaker such as revolves and turning 2D into 3D Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about DynaMaker?

Good support (invaluable)

Good tool for what it supposed to do, even if we only use parts of the tools for our needs.

There is no limit to how much intelligence/automation you can do once you apply the tool. This leads to us making it possible to add complex construction knowledge we have gained during 40 years in the business, and apply this in the tool, so everybody using the tool cannot make mistakes.

As we learn new things (we always do) we then apply that to the tool itself.

You can become more effective in your organization and have fewer expensive CAD licenses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DynaMaker?

This is a stable company with excellent skilled people and management so they will make it, otherwise we would not have invested so much in the tool.

We have hired a full time developer to work with it.

But they are small. As i stated above this is not something we are scared about. Rather have a smaller and hungry company than a big corporation and not very innovative. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering DynaMaker:

This is an excellent online based tool for anyone working with construction drawings.

You can become more effective in your organization and have fewer expensive CAD licenses.

Especially if you want to connect this to a factory robots instructions (which we dont). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DynaMaker solving and how is that benefiting you?

Everybody doing sales can now do relatively complex construction drawings using this tool. The sales people dont have/need CAD experience.

We also can make very good automations with the tool (calculations of how much concrete we need, how much reinforced steel etc etc). This combined is a huge gain for us as it gives us flexibility and quickness in responding to customer questions/proposals.
