"Effortless Collaboration, but Syncing Could Improve"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Dropbox?

I like Dropbox for its ease of use and the accessibility it offers, allowing me to access documents from any device and from anywhere with just one account. I find the cloud storage features particularly useful, along with the ability to share a Dropbox folder with multiple users. The initial setup was super easy, which is a big plus for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

Sometime Dropbox is a little slow to sync and if it doesn't sync right on one device I can access the most updated version on another device. Sometimes it doesn't sync after updating a document and then when I try to access the same document on another device I get the old version. I then have to go back to the previous device and manually hit the sync button. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Dropbox solving and how is that benefiting you?

Dropbox lets me access documents from anywhere and is easy to use, allowing access from any device with one account. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Zero-Friction Dropbox Backup on Mac That Feels Worth the Price"

5/5

What do you like best about Dropbox?

I like that I save directly on Dropbox folder in my Mac and automatically everything is backed online. Zero friction process.

Not cheap, but the value you get is worthy the money paid. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

A bit too pricey, especially considering that I am not just buying it for myself, but for the whole team. Also, sometimes it allows you to copy the link, but it takes longer to fully upload it. Thus, you risk to send a non-working link to a client, because the upload is still in progress. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Dropbox solving and how is that benefiting you?

It allows us as a company to have a backup of every file we worked on. Also, if by any chance you cancelled anything by mistake, you can also get back to an historical version of your file. Very useful. Even in cases of any technical problem with a laptop, all colleagues with the link can easily re-download the latest version of a deck or a needed file. "Easy data synchronization"

4/5

What do you like best about Dropbox?

Easy access to my files across multiple platforms, works on Windows, MacOS, Android. Files are automatically updated and can be stored either online or online and offline.

Can be used to automatically sync and backup pictures from phone, can share files and golders easily when collaborating on projects. It is compatible with standard folder structures which makes it easy to integrate with the OS. The price is quite good for the amount of storage included. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

I recently had an issue where my Dropbox manager disappeared and I had to uninstall it before I could install it again and sync my files. It would also not recognise my previous Dropbox folder as the same folder so all the files were downloaded leasing a lot of duplicates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Dropbox solving and how is that benefiting you?

It help me keep my files on multiple devices to make it available on the computer with the software to analyse the files. Easier to share larger files that are too big to send via email. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Clean, Intuitive UI with Fast Syncing and Seamless Cross-Device Access"

5/5

What do you like best about Dropbox?

What I like most about Dropbox is its clean, intuitive UI, which makes file management very simple even for non-technical users. Performance is smooth, with fast syncing and easy access across devices. I also appreciate the ability to connect with different apps, which makes managing work much more convenient. Overall, it delivers a smooth experience with minimal setup and a very little learning curve. On top of that, the pricing feels reasonable for the value it offers, and the support team is responsive when I need help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

Although there is nothing to dislike about Dropbox, sometimes syncing can feel a bit slow with large files, but it generally works reliably. Also, for some advanced features, pricing seems a little high, though overall experience makes up for it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Dropbox solving and how is that benefiting you?

Dropbox solves the problem of storing and accessing files from anywhere by keeping everything synced in one place, so I no longer have to search for documents across different locations. It also makes sharing and collaboration simple, which saves lots of time and keeps work smooth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Dropbox - A storage locker that trust by most of the corporate companies"

5/5

What do you like best about Dropbox?

Its same like a Google drive . We can save our photos videos or any data through our smart phone or laptop. It have good number of storage in comparison to other applications. The filters of auto uploading data is also very good it clearly classified different size and type of files in a separate folders. The pricing of getting extra space once the storage get full it's really affordable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

There is nothing which I dislike about dropbox but yeah a suggestion I would like to add is regarding the support team . They replied little bit late whenever you get inquired about any query or issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Dropbox solving and how is that benefiting you?

The biggest problem Dropbox solves is that it’s accepted in most organisations. In many workplaces, we can’t link Google Drive to our work or professional accounts, but they do allow Dropbox integration with professional applications. Because of that, there’s no need to keep two different apps for the same purpose.

Dropbox also integrates easily with Google Drive, so transferring data becomes much simpler. The main benefits of having a Dropbox account are the extra storage space and easy access. It also has various filters that make it easier to search for older documents and file history. Even if a document isn’t currently on your device, once you upload it to Dropbox, it stays accessible for years and can be opened from any device. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless, Reliable Sync and Sharing for Large Files"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Dropbox?

What I like most about Dropbox is that it runs quietly in the background without me having to manage files manually. I mainly use it for Power BI files, Excel models, and project folders that can get pretty large, so it’s much easier to keep everything in one place rather than emailing versions around or trying to track changes myself.

Syncing is what really stands out to me. I switch between devices quite a bit, and I don’t have to double-check whether I copied the latest version of a file—it’s already there. That has saved me more than once when I needed to pull up a report quickly and didn’t have access to my main machine.

I also use the version history more than I expected. If I’m making changes to a model or testing something in a report and it goes wrong, I can roll back to an earlier version instead of spending time trying to fix it manually.

Sharing is straightforward too. I usually just send a link when someone needs access, especially when a file is too large to send normally. It’s also helpful when I’m sending reports to stakeholders or keeping project files in one place, and it cuts down on a lot of back-and-forth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

What I don’t like about Dropbox is that storage can fill up pretty quickly when you’re working with lots of large files, such as Power BI reports and Excel models with multiple versions. It’s not always obvious how fast everything adds up until you’re suddenly getting close to the limit.

I’ve also run into a few situations where syncing isn’t completely instant across devices. Most of the time it’s fine, but occasionally I’ll open a file on another device and it hasn’t fully updated yet. That can be confusing when you’re trying to make quick decisions.

Another issue is that shared folders can get messy over time, especially when multiple people are uploading or updating files without a clear structure. If naming conventions aren’t followed, it can take longer than expected to find the latest version of something.

Permissions can feel a bit clunky too when you’re working across different teams or with external stakeholders. It works, but it isn’t always as straightforward as it should be when you need to adjust access quickly.

Overall, these aren’t major issues, but they’re small friction points that come up when you use Dropbox heavily in day-to-day work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Dropbox solving and how is that benefiting you?

Dropbox mainly helps me keep large working files organised, accessible, and consistent across different devices and across the people I work with.

In my work, I deal with Power BI reports, Excel models, and supporting project files that often go through multiple versions. Without a tool like Dropbox, these files can easily end up scattered across email threads, local folders, or saved as separate copies by different people. That quickly creates confusion about which file is actually the latest.

With Dropbox, I have one central place where everything lives. I can keep active project folders there and trust that when I update something, it’s available when I switch devices or need to share it quickly with someone else. This has been especially helpful when I need to pull up a report outside my main setup, or send a file to stakeholders without worrying about attachment size limits.

It also reduces back-and-forth within teams. Instead of sending attachments and repeatedly confirming versions, I can share a link so everyone is working from the same source.

Overall, the biggest benefit for me is the time saved and the fewer mistakes caused by version control issues. It removes a lot of manual file management and lets me focus more on the actual analysis and reporting work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

DB makes it simple to upload files to the cloud and share for collaboration. Long gone are the days of flash drives and carriers when now we can upload and start working on projects in real time anywhere. We love that the team at DB is always innovative and looking for more ways to make file sharing, storing, and collaboration easier. They are more than a cloud storage company they have become another employee to us. We highly recommend them for all your business and personal files. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

Honestly I can't find anything negative to say about DB. Maybe one thing I could say that needs to be fixed is that if you upload a single file to the main DB folder it shows up across all platforms it would be nice to have better control over single files and new folders once you create them. Maybe have a window that asks which devices do you want to have this folder/file visible on rather than having to go to each device and removing it manually by checking the box on visibility. "Dropbox: A Convenient Site For BackUp Files"

5/5

What do you like best about Dropbox?

In using Dropbox, I really like that I can easily upload files, documents and photos online wherein I can easily access them on any device that I use. It is also helpful for me to share it with other people accessibly and effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

For me, Dropbox is really helpful and easy to use but the only thing I dislike is I just need to Upgrade to store a lot of files so sometimes I will delete my old files in order to store new ones. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Dropbox solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a Virtual Assistant, we use Dropbox as our main store files of my client's business. So if there are important documents that my client wants to share with me she will just share it instantly through Dropbox. I never encountered inconvenience in Dropbox, even if I was going somewhere or traveling or if I forgot my laptop. I will just log in to other laptop and I can already work and access files by the help of it. So helpful! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Shared Files Eating Up Storage Feels Like a Rip-Off"

1.5/5

What do you like best about Dropbox?

I like that dropbox is easily integrated with phones as a back up for photo storage and that the layout is similar to Windows Explorer so it is familiar. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

I dislike that when documents and files are shared between two parties in a shared folder, the document seems to take up the same amount of space in each person’s Dropbox as it would if only one person had it. To me, that feels like a bit of a rip-off. I also don’t like that when you receive a link to a shared document, it defaults to prompting you to save it to your Dropbox, which takes up even more space and can push you toward buying additional storage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Dropbox solving and how is that benefiting you?

Honestly, the only reason I have Dropbox is because certain friends I share files with use it, and it’s simply easier to have a Dropbox account for when they send me things. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Dropbox - Virtual Locker that never get filled ."

5/5

What do you like best about Dropbox?

As part of corporate culture, we always need a storage application that is easy to use and offers plenty of space to store our data, information, or records so we can easily find them whenever we want to review or use them again. For me, this is where Dropbox provides the best opportunity and features, covering what we need with all the relevant options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

Need to update as per the device requirement. It does not perform well when used in old devices like smartphones which still don't have the upgraded android version . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Dropbox solving and how is that benefiting you?

The problem Dropbox easily solved for me is storage. We already have Google Drive for sharing and storing information, but it comes with very limited space compared to business requirements; here, Dropbox has the upper hand. The storage options and the ability to purchase additional space are quite large and affordable compared to other applications. Moreover, it does not show ads when your space is about to fill up, and it doesn’t send irrelevant notifications. If you link it with other applications, it can still save the information by using some internal space on the device that is accessible through that application. Overall, it’s beneficial because it fits within my budget cap and I don’t feel like I wasted a single penny. Customer support is also very reliable in terms of query solving.
