"Faster Customer Payouts with Direct Employee Access"
5/5
What do you like best about Dots?

What I like most about Dots is that our employees can send customer payouts directly. Before Dots, employees had to ask a manager to send the funds, which added another step and often slowed down the transaction. Now, the employee helping the customer can handle the payout themselves from start to finish. This reduces the back-and-forth with managers and allows the customer to receive their payment without waiting for someone else to process it.

It has also removed a bottleneck from our daily operations. Managers do not have to stop what they are doing to handle routine payouts, and employees can take care of more of the transaction on their own. This saves time, keeps the process moving, and makes it easier for us to handle a higher volume of payouts without adding the same amount of extra work. The time we get back and the revenue generated through the payout process help Dots pay for itself.

We are also exploring API integrations as we migrate to our new system. Connecting Dots to our internal workflows could reduce manual entry and make it easier to manage payout information in one place. The documentation has been helpful while we review the available integration options and determine what will work best for our setup. We are still evaluating the integration, but it could help us build a more connected process and make the system easier to use as our operations continue to grow. What do you dislike about Dots?

I understand that the newer system is still being developed from the legacy platform, so some functionality is still limited or being added. The main area I would like to see improved is the guidance provided for certain settings and features. Some options are not immediately clear, and it can take time to understand what they do or when they should be used.

The documentation has been helpful, but adding short descriptions, tooltips, or examples within the platform would make these features easier to understand. This would make the system more straightforward to use and help users feel more confident when adjusting settings or exploring features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Outstanding Team, Custom Features, and a Reliable API for Ongoing Re-screening"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Dots?

Dots powers two things that are critical to our marketplace: paying our coaches and screening them. On the payments side, Dots handles payouts for thousands of our coaches, covering lesson earnings and tips. That adds up to tens of thousands of payouts a year and hundreds every day, even at our busiest in peak season, and it runs reliably without our team having to babysit it.

The team is also very responsive and has built features around our needs. The biggest one is being able to run background checks on the same coach more than once, which let us set up a regular re-screening cycle. When an issue comes up, they own it right away: we get a ticket and regular updates until it's fixed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dots?

Honestly, very little. Now and then we run into a bug in the candidate-facing flow, which happens with any platform. What stands out is how Dots handles it. When our team flags an issue, they acknowledge it the same day, get it in front of engineering, and keep us in the loop the whole way.

When they had the integration with Yardstick, they helped support with rechecking our coaches who we no longer has copies of their background check. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible, Scalable Payment API Solution"
5/5
What do you like best about Dots?

I like that Dots Payouts API is a scalable solution for our needs, allowing us to pay hundreds or thousands of individuals with the click of a button. Its simplicity is impressive, and the reference documentation is really helpful and robust. The API ensures flexibility in making direct payments and generating payment links, enhancing our payment options beyond just one type like ACH or PayPal. I appreciate the dashboard for manual use if needed and the self-service option it provides to recipients. It's user-friendly, making it accessible for professionals and non-professionals alike, and effectively integrates with our custom backend systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dots?

Although it does support international payees, it could have better native support for international currencies. So for example, if we owe somebody 100 Canadian dollars, I can't guarantee that they'll get paid exactly 100 Canadian dollars. They will be paid some conversion rate since we're paying with US dollars. We have workarounds to make that work for our needs, but a platform native solution would be better. That said, the Dots team has been very responsive to our needs and has added a number of features, at our request. I trust that things like this will be added in the future, making the platform better and better over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple Setup, Frustrating Bank Processing Delays"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Dots?

I think Dots is simple to get up and running, which is nice. I also found the initial setup to be pretty easy, making it quick for us to start paying independent contractors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dots?

I find the processing time with Dots a bit frustrating. Some banks are not processing payments for our contractors even though we have paid them out, which is annoying because people want to be paid on time. This delay kind of undermines the main value proposition of Dots. I also think there should be an easier way for our payees to get in touch with Dots customer service. They often come to us with questions about their payout status, and we don't have the answers, so having a direct line to support would be really helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"All Payout Options Up Front and Easy to Choose"
5/5
What do you like best about Dots?

All of the payout options are in front of me to pick from Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dots?

The first time signing into dots is a little annoying, but bank accounts connect just fine after. Information stays saved so I feel maybe someone else can login with information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
