What do you like best about Docusign?
What I like most about DocuSign is that it takes a process that can otherwise involve a lot of email and manual follow-up and puts it into one workflow. From a UI/UX perspective, the signing experience is straightforward. Recipients can open the document, see where they need to take action, and complete the signing without needing much guidance.
I also like the integrations because DocuSign can fit into existing business workflows instead of being used as a completely separate tool. That is particularly useful when documents are being generated or managed through other business applications. The performance has also been reliable in my experience. Documents load quickly and the signing process generally doesn’t feel like it is adding unnecessary waiting time.
From a pricing and ROI perspective, the value comes mainly from reducing the manual effort involved in printing, scanning, emailing, and following up on signatures. For teams that process a reasonable volume of documents, that time saving can justify the subscription cost.
The onboarding is relatively straightforward, especially for basic signing workflows. The more advanced features take some time to understand, but the overall learning curve is manageable. I also find the support and documentation useful when setting up workflows that go beyond simple document signing.
The AI capabilities are another area I find interesting, particularly where DocuSign can help with extracting information from agreements, identifying important terms, or making large sets of documents easier to review. It is not the reason I would adopt DocuSign by itself, but it adds value once the platform is already part of the document workflow.
Overall, what I like most is that DocuSign is more than just an electronic signature tool for me. It brings signing, tracking, integrations, document management, and increasingly intelligent document capabilities into one workflow, which saves me a noticeable amount of manual effort. What do you dislike about Docusign?
The biggest frustration I have with DocuSign is that preparing a document for signing can take more effort than expected. If there are multiple signers, different fields for each person, or specific signing orders, setting everything up correctly can become time-consuming. It is easy to miss a field or assign one to the wrong recipient, so I usually double-check the document before sending it.
I also find that making changes after a document has already been sent can be inconvenient. If something is incorrect in the signing workflow, you may need to make adjustments and resend the document rather than simply editing the existing request.
Another issue for me is the pricing. If your team sends documents regularly, it can make sense, but for occasional use, paying for a full subscription can feel disproportionate to the number of documents being signed.
The core signing experience works well, but I think DocuSign could make document preparation, corrections, and pricing more flexible for users who don’t use the platform every day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
