Documents can easily be dragged and dropped. It provides different format conversions of documents. It stores documents that enable them to search quickly and retrieve them rapidly. The user interface is easy and clear to understand for first use. It keeps all the documents in one place in an organized way and they can print anytime. You can send documents to fax from this platform too. **What do you dislike about DocLink?** There must be wildcard searchability in search engine so whenever we write a single value it will show all the documents that contain the same value in it. The workflow module is a little bit complicated while working, it does not work properly sometimes. It does not notify you if your delivery fails while sending it to email or fax. It still needs some modification in some of its functions. **What problems is DocLink solving and how is that benefiting you?** we were looking for document management software because we are now tired of handling papers and paper works so this platform is used to solve the document management of our organization and it is great, it provides we needed. It is easy to set up and easy to use. It is good for all types of enterprises. It is good to use instead of paperwork, it decreased our managing load. ### 3. Our main use is for AP invoices; for example, when the finance & accounting group is reviewing monthly financials each month, they are frequently using DocLink to research what is causing anomalies or so show who approved an invoice. **What do you dislike about DocLink?** I feel like the interface could use some upgrading. I'm not sure if it is a version issue, but it seems a bit out dated and could be a little cleaner. Sometimes it can be a little slow to load information as well. **What problems is DocLink solving and how is that benefiting you?** Some of the main problems we are trying to solve and benefits we've realized with DocLink would include the need to go paperless, reduction of storage space from going paperless, ease of access to documents, storage of contracts in one place, approval process for invoices, maintaining controls, time savings and interdepartmental efficiencies (ex: monthly review process; we don't have to go digging for invoices or request it from AP, we can log in and look it up ourselves), etc. ### 4. No more sifting through filing cabinets, no more digging through storage boxes. Every business document can be accessed quickly and easily so there is no longer a need to have to call back a vendor who is checking on payment because you can't find that invoice they are questioning. This system makes our Accounting network so much more efficient and thorough. **What do you dislike about DocLink?** Although this is a very proficient system, it is technology based so there is a reasonable margin for error. In my time of use, there have been instances of documents accidentally being deleted, there have been times when the document images didn't format properly and were unable to be read and had to be rescanned. There is also the issue that all documents have to be either scanned as a TIF or they will be converted to TIF. TIF files are not always acceptable. JPEG or PDF files are more renowned and dependable. **What problems is DocLink solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have been using Doclilnk for several years and rely solely on the system for all our document filing. We have discovered that the system has helped us become quiet efficient and has greatly improved productivity and substantially decreased errors and missing files. The system is very user friendly and can be taught to new employees very easily. The processes are easy to understand and utilize. The Administrator module is relatively easy. There are quite a few steps involved to set up a new company, but creating and setting up new users is very uncomplicated. Doclink is a great system! ### 11. It's so easy to find documents once they're scanned in! **What do you dislike about DocLink?** Our A/P department is one person. The system works better with multiple "stages"; it's clunky and lots of clicks for one person doing all of the data entry. **Recommendations to others considering DocLink:** Grill them during set up and implementation; communication is key!! **What problems is DocLink solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have emptied a dozen huge lateral filing cabinets!! The scanning software (docAlpha)is from a company in the Ukraine, a point that Altec failed to point out during there sales presentation and ensuing negotiations. The language barrier is very difficult. English is clearly their second language. **Recommendations to others considering DocLink:** I chose DocLink because Altec claims it has seamless integration with Sage 100., which is true. Except that we are having issues with communication between the two. If it had not been for the claim of seamless integration I would have gone with DocuWare software instead. You may want to take a look at that software. **What problems is DocLink solving and how is that benefiting you?** Reduced paper flow and data storage ### 14.
