## About Digi Remote Manager
Digi Remote Manager (DRM) is the intelligent command center for your entire Digi device network and the only IoT management platform built from the ground up for the AI-driven operations era with Digi Artificial Network Intelligence (DANI) and MCP server support. From a single interface accessible on desktop, tablet, or phone, network teams gain centralized visibility and control over every Digi device in their deployment: cellular routers, gateways, console servers, serial connectivity devices, and embedded solutions. Four capabilities define the platform: Manage individual devices or groups with full configuration control and remote file system access. Automate firmware updates, security patches, health checks, and custom scripts, one time or recurring, fleet-wide, without manual intervention. Monitor in real time with health metrics, GPS device mapping, instant alerts, and on-demand reports that keep teams ahead of every issue. Secure the entire stack with automated vulnerability scanning, role-based access controls, audit logs, and zero-trust device policies enforced across every router in the fleet. AI is not a feature add-on in DRM. It is the interface. DANI (Digi Artificial Network Intelligence) is built directly into Digi Remote Manager, giving operations teams a natural language interface to the full platform. Ask DANI to diagnose a signal issue, compare device performance across regions, surface anomalies in your fleet, or pull a compliance summary. No dashboards to build, no reports to schedule, no SQL to write. DANI translates operational intent into action, making the expertise of your most experienced network engineer available to every member of your team. For organizations running enterprise AI environments, the Digi MCP Server extends that intelligence further. Included with every DRM subscription, the MCP Server is a hosted Model Context Protocol endpoint that exposes 70+ device management capabilities as standardized, AI-accessible tools. Teams connecting Claude, ChatGPT, or internal Claude deployments can query live fleet telemetry, investigate alerts, analyze configurations, and execute permitted operations in plain language, directly from the AI environment they already use. No custom REST integrations. No additional infrastructure. Generate an API key and connect in minutes. It is an industry first in WWAN connectivity, and it means your AI systems can manage your network the same way your engineers do. Built for the most demanding procurement environment. Security and compliance are built into every layer of the platform. Digi Remote Manager is SOC 2 Type 2 certified, an industry first in WWAN connectivity, independently validated across security, availability, and confidentiality controls. For regulated industries and government deployments, DRM supports TAA compliance and GSA schedule eligibility, GSMA SGP.32 eSIM for true zero-touch deployment, FirstNet certification for public safety priority access, FIPS 140-3 federal encryption standards, and C1D2/ATEX certification for hazardous environments. Integration with Digi TrustFence® extends that security framework to the device layer, and Configuration Manager continuously monitors deployed devices for unauthorized changes and automatically remediates them. Digi Remote Manager is included with every Digi 360 subscription. Digi 360 is the complete solution bundled with every Digi cellular router: the device, Digi Remote Manager, a limited-lifetime warranty, and 24/7 technical support from Digi engineers, all in a single purchase. No separate software licenses to manage, no support contracts to negotiate, no surprise costs at renewal. Customers get a fully managed, enterprise-ready deployment from day one, with hardware and software supported together for the life of the subscription.

**Reviewed Date:** September 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Digi Remote Manager?**

What I like most about Digi Remote Manager is how much hassle it saves us when managing our network devices. Being able to push out mass updates, update firmware, and check connection health for hundreds of routers from a single dashboard beats manual setup every single time.

**What do you dislike about Digi Remote Manager?**

The interface can feel a bit dated, and navigating through nested menus to adjust specific device configurations takes some getting used to. Also setting up custom alerts or automated tasks requires a slight learning curve

**What problems is Digi Remote Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before implementation, we struggled with manually managing scattered field devices and rolling out site visits just to handle firmware updates or fix configuration drifts. Now, we can push out mass configuration changes, monitor network health in real-time, and automatically enforce security policies across our entire fleet from a single dashboard. This has resulted in a massive reduction in operational downtime and saved our engineering team dozens of hours every month on routine maintenance.

**Reviewed Date:** August 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Digi Remote Manager?**

Digi RM lets us push bulk firmware updates to hundreds of digital menus and ticketing kiosks across the park simultaneously. I can securely reboot a glitching turnstile scanner right from my phone without ever dispatching a field tech.

**What do you dislike about Digi Remote Manager?**

The automated device offline alerts get incredibly noisy during summer peak season whenever a brief localized power flutter hits the park. We constantly have to recalibrate the notification thresholds just to stop the dashboard from burying our helpdesk in false alarms.

**What problems is Digi Remote Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having reliable out-of-band serial access means our core point-of-sale networks remain completely accessible even if the primary park ISP drops. We keep the admission lines moving flawlessly, which directly protects our daily gate revenue during peak weekend rushes.

  ### 3. Digi RM’s Automated Configuration Management and Self-Healing Stand Out

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yaroslav M. | Technician, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Validated Reviewer:** Validated through LinkedIn

**Incentivized:** This reviewer was offered a nominal gift card as thank you for completing this review.

**Source: G2 invite:** Invitation from G2. This reviewer was offered a nominal gift card as thank you for completing this review.

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Digi Remote Manager?**

Automated Configuration Management & Self-Healing: You can define configuration baselines and templates for groups of devices. If a remote device is changed locally without authorization or starts to experience configuration drift, Digi RM detects the variance and automatically restores the device to its approved state.

**What do you dislike about Digi Remote Manager?**

UI Complexity and Information Hierarchy: Moving between Device Health, Configuration Profiles, Task Automations, and Data Streams often feels fragmented rather than cohesive. The interface still seems to carry architectural baggage from older versions (such as legacy Device Cloud concepts), which makes day-to-day navigation less intuitive and harder to follow than it needs to be.

**What problems is Digi Remote Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Expensive On-Site Interventions ("Truck Rolls"): Manually servicing field-deployed cellular gateways, routers, and edge nodes is both costly and time-consuming. Digi RM helps by providing centralized out-of-band access, enabling remote reboots, mass firmware rollouts, and direct, browser-based terminal access to endpoints connected behind the gateway via Digi Remote Reach.

Configuration Drift & Silent Tampering: In the field, devices often experience unauthorized configuration changes, gradual misalignment from intended settings, or local updates that fail without being noticed. Digi RM can scan device states against "golden image" baselines and automatically roll back discrepancies, reducing the need for administrator intervention.

**What do you like best about Digi Remote Manager?**

What I like best about Digi Remote Manager is its Configuration Manager feature coupled with automated security remediation, which has transformed our edge infrastructure handling from a high-maintenance chore into a seamless background process. Instead of spending dozens of hours scheduling truck rolls or individually patching remote routers, the bulk group management and scheduled task automation save our engineering team at least 10–15 hours every week.

The UI/UX is clean, intuitive, and responsive—the customizable dashboard widgets and dark mode give us immediate, clear visibility into fleet health metrics, signal strength, and bandwidth usage at a glance. We’ve also seen massive ROI from its bi-directional open APIs and cloud connectors, which integrated seamlessly with our existing enterprise dashboards (like AWS and Azure) without requiring custom API overhauls. An unexpected benefit has been the platform's continuous configuration monitoring: if an edge device slips out of PCI compliance or experiences unauthorized setting shifts, the system automatically remediates it back to our "gold standard" profile without human intervention. Combined with modern Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations for AI-assisted troubleshooting and rapid onboarding, Digi RM provides top-tier support, robust performance, and total enterprise-grade peace of mind.

**What do you dislike about Digi Remote Manager?**

While Digi Remote Manager is powerful, its primary drawback is its initial learning curve and complex tier-based pricing model, which can make early adoption feel overwhelming for smaller deployments. The sheer volume of advanced network controls and policy configurations means the UI/UX can occasionally feel cluttered, requiring significant onboarding time to properly set up granular user permissions and custom alert thresholds. Additionally, while the automated features are excellent, the reporting tools can experience noticeable performance lags when querying high-density historical telemetry across hundreds of devices simultaneously. The pricing structure can also scale quickly, making advanced security remediation and API connector tiers feel steep if you are only managing a modest fleet of edge routers.

**What problems is Digi Remote Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Digi Remote Manager primarily solves the operational nightmare of managing, updating, and securing geographically dispersed edge devices by replacing expensive physical site visits ("truck rolls") with a centralized, cloud-based control plane. Before using it, pushing firmware updates, monitoring network health, or enforcing security compliance across hundreds of remote routers meant high labor costs, prolonged downtime, and constant risk of configuration drift. The platform directly benefits our team by automating mass provisioning, real-time telemetry monitoring, and automatic configuration remediation—which resets unauthorized setting shifts back to our gold-standard profile instantly. This proactive automation reduces device downtime, eliminates dozens of engineering hours previously spent on manual maintenance, and significantly cuts overall operational expenditure.
