It enables IT admins to regulate device access, secure file transfers, enforce USB encryption, monitor user activity, and maintain detailed audits without affecting employee productivity. Device Control Plus helps manage 17+ peripheral device types, including USB storage devices, smartphones, Bluetooth adapters, printers, imaging devices, and other removable hardware. Admins can block unauthorized devices or define read, write, or read-only permissions based on organizational policies. They can also create a trusted device list using serial numbers or device instance paths, use wildcard patterns to approve groups of company-owned devices, and import trusted device lists through CSV files for large-scale deployments. Devices not explicitly approved can be blocked by default, ensuring only authorized hardware is permitted to access endpoints. Access permissions can be assigned based on user roles or custom computer groups, ensuring employees access only the information relevant to their responsibilities. Admins can define file size limits for removable media transfers, restrict specific file types or extensions, and prevent copying of sensitive files to external devices while blocking malicious files from entering managed endpoints. Users are notified instantly whenever a transfer is denied due to policy restrictions. Device Control Plus also supports BitLocker-based USB encryption. Organizations can allow only encrypted USB devices, configure unencrypted devices as read-only or block them completely, and prompt users to encrypt removable media before transferring files. When BitLocker encryption is enforced through Device Control Plus, the recovery keys generated are automatically stored and managed centrally, simplifying recovery while securing data using 128-bit or 256-bit AES encryption. Temporary device access enables admins to provide device access to third-party vendors, contractors, and employees for a short period of time. Access requests require explicit admin approval, and support offline access codes for users working outside the corporate network. Device Control Plus provides complete visibility into file movement through file shadowing and file tracing. Mirror copies of files transferred to USB devices can be automatically stored in secure network locations, while detailed logs capture file names, locations, users, timestamps, and files excluded from shadowing because of size or extension restrictions. Comprehensive dashboards, reports, and audit logs provide insights into device usage, user activities, and file transfers. Audit logs can also be retained for specific periods to support internal governance and regulatory compliance requirements. They may not have updated their review text, but have updated their review. **What do you like best about Device Control Plus?** Using Device Control Plus, we have been applied policies to block external storage and other devices and we can track who are accessing external devices and we can see logs and reports under device control plus portal. It enables us to protect our organization data and meet compliance requirements. **What do you dislike about Device Control Plus?** This is an awesome product and comes with so many features like Self request portal, temporary access option, using code. I'm satisfied using Device Control Plus product. **What problems is Device Control Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am using it to block External storage devices, track records of used external storage, Data loss prevention and policies. We have also enabled trusted devices under Device Control Plus.
