# Which account based marketing agencies provide the strongest market research capabilities available?

"Market research" means something different depending on who's asking. For an Account-Based Marketing Agency, it usually isn't survey work, it's the ability to tell you what your target accounts actually care about before you spend money reaching them.

What we're hoping to find:

Actual intent or engagement data, not assumptions dressed up as insight

A way to turn research into targeting decisions, not a report that sits in a folder

Direct customer or prospect voice, not just competitor benchmarking

Evidence the agency adjusts strategy based on what the research turns up

pharosIQ: Reviewers describe its intent-to-purchase signal engine tracking real buyer behavior, like which case studies or pricing guides get consumed, and one reviewer specifically noted it sits in both Insights and Actions leader quadrants at Forrester, meaning the research side and the execution side aren't separate products bolted together.

Campaign Stars: A reviewer credits the agency with getting a real pulse on prospects and existing customers, identifying overlooked needs that the internal team had missed, and backing this with a network that includes dedicated survey specialists.

Secret Sushi: One reviewer specifically credits Voice of the Customer work with providing clarity the internal team couldn't reach alone, which then directly shaped the content and pipeline-building assets that followed.

Sojourn Solutions: Less research-branded than the others, but reviewers describe deep data architecture work that feeds account-based personalization, meaning the research question becomes "do we actually have clean data to research from" before anything else.

The strongest research partner is the one that turns account insight into an actual targeting change, not just better messaging. I’d look for evidence that intent signals, customer interviews, or VoC work caused accounts to be added, removed, or reprioritized—and that the agency could explain why.
