Descartes Finale™ is a cloud-based inventory and warehouse management software solution that helps multichannel ecommerce businesses manage stock, orders, purchasing, fulfillment, and inventory-related financial data in a centralized system. It is intended for growing sellers and warehouse operations that manage multiple sales channels, inventory locations, product types, or Amazon fulfillment programs. The platform synchronizes inventory in near real time across 25+ popular sales channels, including Shopify, Amazon, eBay, and Walmart. Changes in inventory availability can be reflected across connected channels, helping teams reduce overselling and maintain consistent stock information. Sales orders, purchase orders, transfers, receiving, and stock adjustments can be managed within Finale, connecting ecommerce and warehouse processes in one system. Multichannel inventory management: Finale centralizes stock information from connected marketplaces and ecommerce platforms. It supports inventory visibility across warehouses, retail locations, and Amazon fulfillment locations, together with stock transfers and replenishment workflows. Barcode-based warehouse workflows: Mobile barcode scanning supports receiving, putaway, picking and packing, transfers, cycle counts, and stock-taking activities. The system can also create and print custom barcode labels for products, bins, and warehouse locations. Product and traceability controls: Kitting and bundling capabilities automatically adjust inventory for bundled products and their individual components. Lot IDs, serial numbers, and expiration dates can be recorded to support product traceability and inventory control requirements. Amazon inventory operations: Amazon tools cover FBA inbound shipment management and reconciliation, along with replenishment, inventory visibility, and transfers across FBA, AWD, and company warehouses. These capabilities provide a combined view of inventory stored internally, in transit, or held within Amazon’s fulfillment network. Shipping, accounting, and reporting: Integrations with ShipStation, QuickBooks Online, Xero, and A2X connect Finale with shipping and accounting processes. Built-in financial functionality includes COGS calculations, inventory valuation, landed-cost tracking, margin reporting, and reports for evaluating inventory and sales-channel performance. Finale is designed for businesses moving beyond spreadsheets and disconnected systems that need to connect inventory management, warehouse activities, ecommerce orders, purchasing, and related financial information.

What do you like best about Descartes Finale?

Reporting is where Finale Inventory shines. More integrations than I would ever need, with the ability to add a new one. Very easy to use, with clearly labeled & well-organized menu items. Getting started, I had questions. My questions were answered really quickly by the founder of the company. My phone calls are answered. What do you dislike about Descartes Finale?

A difficult question is what I dislike about Finale Inventory. There are features that I don't use, but there are no features that I do use that I have any qualms about. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Descartes Finale solving and how is that benefiting you?

I look at stock levels on a daily basis, and easily create Purchase Orders from the same software. Inventory levels are adjusted as soon as product is received, and as soon as it's picked for an order. I can see what's on hand, what's on order, and even how many days' worth of product I have. Stock levels take BOMs into account. That's huge. Product Lookups are simple to create and link. There's also the ability to create Custom Fields. Finale has proven to be a easy intuitive way to manage our inventory. Using the barcoding and scanners we have streamlined our processes. We use finale for every step, from ordering our products to stocking, picking, packing and shipping out our sales orders. It also has robust, customizable reporting that has been extremely helpful.
