The user-friendly interface feels intuitive for our users, and the dashboards provide strong visibility into their projects. **What do you dislike about Deltek Vantagepoint?** A lot of the material in the Learning Hub and the help documentation is outdated. When I try to follow the steps, it often turns into guesswork because the instructions no longer match the current system. It also feels like sharing ideas in the Idea Portal is of little use. There are many great suggestions that seem like simple fixes, but they’ve been sitting there for literal years. On top of that, known defects in the system take a long time to be resolved. Moving to Vantagepoint gave our project management side a baseline structure that is objectively better than the nothing we had before. However, this operational benefit came at a massive cost to our finance team. The software was clearly selected with only project managers in mind, without realizing how detrimental the accounting modules would be. While it tracks projects adequately, the accounting architecture is counterintuitive, clunky, and deeply disappointing. Navigating through different tabs is much easier and it helps reduce my stress levels. I love being able to deep dive into project details, seeing who else in my company has worked on a project, and reaching out to them if necessary. The tracking features are awesome; being able to look myself up and see which projects I've worked on in the past is handy. Access to project budgets helps me stay on track with spending, preventing overspending before it becomes a problem. Also, accessing my timesheet on my phone is indispensable, and this all makes my workflow much smoother. The initial setup was super simple and I can use my credentials from onboarding. Overall, Deltek Vantagepoint has been a great tool that I’d definitely recommend. **What do you dislike about Deltek Vantagepoint?** I feel that a comprehensive PDF/printout of project details could be very helpful. Lack of knowledgeable staff, implementor didn't have strong knowledge of system, any customization was incredibly expensive and had a wait time of more than 3 months. I would highly recommend looking at other alternatives as company is not staffed with knowledgable resources to effectively support new clients on their system. System is also really slow and manually posting of transactions is archaic and out of date. **What problems is Deltek Vantagepoint solving and how is that benefiting you?** Non. They are horrible at responding. Customer service is non existent. I suspect it is because they are not staffed with enough employees. We can create codes and link them very easily. Reports can be created to customize needed info. It's a very sophisticated and complete system, and I love the integration. I have appreciated increased transparency on what features and changes are on the horizon before those changes are implemented. The customer ideas portal has been successful in letting users express their needs and wants out of Vantagepoint and is a place where users can interact with each other and the Deltek team. **What do you dislike about Deltek Vantagepoint?** Deltek Vantagepoint still has areas that aren't as flexible or adaptable as our team would like along with the areas that require heavy investment to learn and maintain. The AI agent built into Vantagepoint is not useful. From the shortcomings of what it can do, the way it is inconsistent in responses, and to the length of time it takes to get a reply, I find it faster to bypass the AI tool, using the traditional route to get what I need. **What problems is Deltek Vantagepoint solving and how is that benefiting you?** Vantagepoint is a good comprehensive platform for financial, billing, project management and reporting that just is not found in other applications we have looked at compared to it. It's well designed for tracking progress to ensure accurate revenue recognition and capturing team members' times into the right WBS structures, which is crucial for our projects that have fewer phases and milestones. **What do you dislike about Deltek Vantagepoint?** Its interface is a little dated and not as intuitive. Entering time and entering data requires numerous clicks and oftentimes is cumbersome. As well, it is not always intuitive as to where you might find an approval PO or an invoice approval; they are not all in the approval sector.
