## About dbExpress driver for MySQL
dbExpress is a database-independent layer that defines common interface to provide fast access to MySQL from Delphi and C++Builder including Community Edition on Windows and macOS for both 32-bit and 64-bit platforms. For this server, dbExpress provides a driver as an independent library that implements the common dbExpress interface for processing queries and stored procedures. As data-access layer is thin and simple, dbExpress provides high performance database connectivity and is easy to deploy. You can use our driver in the same way as the one supplied by Embarcadero. dbExpress driver for MySQL provides access to MySQL database. It can work using native MySQL network protocol or MySQL client. If you do not use Direct mode, MySQL client library is required.

**What do you like best about dbExpress driver for MySQL?**

What I like the most is that I can use both the mysql client and mysql Network interchangeably according to my needs.

**What do you dislike about dbExpress driver for MySQL?**

Sometimes it goes a bit slow when I'm working with a large amount of data or I'm writing code very quickly.

**What problems is dbExpress driver for MySQL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In my job, I use it very often because of how effective it is. Additionally, it is simple and its use is quite intuitive for managing a database optimally.
