They tend to offer improved latency in comparison with GPUs, also an improved performance ratio. It's easy to use and gives the user control on how each core is being used. **What do you dislike about Amazon Inferentia?** It supports only some models extensively. Also, it only supports some fixed sets of NN operators. Sometimes, some layers of a neural network model get dropped and it's difficult to visualize at such a stage. Data parallel execution with multiple chips doesn't work. Installing prerequisites give error in some Windows machines. **What problems is Amazon Inferentia solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are using Amazon Inferentia for image classification inference for our project. Its low cost and high performance in the cloud helps with memory management on our machines. We used it to compile Keras ResNet-50 model and the support provided for it is excellent. The chip consist of 4 neurons cores and each enhance the response time with connected exponentially. Also it can take 32 bit model run at 16 bit. It serves two purposes, one, it can divide the entire core with entire memory stored in cache storage, and second, high speed operations to avoid latency. **What do you dislike about Amazon Inferentia?** During the training phase, suitable data needs to be feeded into the system. Also the entire product is under the ownership of Amazon, restricting it to the open source and hindering vital suggestions.
