## Datapeople (by Payscale) Reviews
  ### 1. Writing job description

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Phocas M. | Tree Research and Development Senior Specialist , Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Clarity on responsibilities and deliverables: They tend to frame tasks with precision. For example, instead of vague duties like “support analysis,” they’ll suggest “clean and analyze monthly monitoring data to inform program adjustments.”

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Nothing, the experience was great. I would recommend without reservation

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datapeople helps solve the problem of unclear, inconsistent, and biased job descriptions by offering real-time guidance to write inclusive, structured, and engaging content. This benefits hiring teams by attracting a more diverse and qualified pool of candidates, improving clarity across roles, and saving time through standardized templates and data-backed insights. As a result, managers can make more informed hiring decisions while promoting fairness and consistency throughout the recruitment process.

  ### 2. Using Data to Influence Internal Teams and Candidates

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in International Trade and Development | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

I am a Talent Acquisition Manager for a data minded organization where everyone thinks they have the best solution. It used to take quite a while and lots of back and forth to convince hiring managers to accept our changes to their Job Descriptions. Once we onboarded Datapeople we were able to put hiring managers directly on the platform to see where our suggestions were coming from, and support them with data on the backend.

Ther software uses Language AI, paired with industry best practices to identify exclusive language, lack of clarity, corporate cliches, and misaligned job requirements for teams to target while reviewing their jobs. DataPeople does not change the content, but strips back the language to make sure we are able to attract qualified talent, creating an advertisement and not just a lengthy internal JD. It's fairly easy to explain and use, and we have disseminated it to various countries within our organization.

Their reps are often helpful, sometimes I wish the back and forth was a bit faster though.

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

I think DataPeople would be much more useful if we could integrate it into Google Drive systems.

I also am not a fan of their chrome plug-in showing up on webpages I do not want it to appear on, with the only option to have it entirely on or off, not to customize where it can appear.

I do also think their AI JD writing feature is good for generic jobs, but think it has a distance to go for being able to fill more unique roles in specialty fields.

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DataPeople helps create faster consensus on finalized Job Descriptions, remove cliches and biased language, and cut down on the fluff that obfuscates the true purpose of the advert.

  ### 3. The perfect analysis

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** ana m. | Administrativa, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

For me, it is a powerful solution and a great improvement in the recruitment process.

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Sometimes I need to understand well how it works to make the most of it; for large companies, it would work great.

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Improve and quality when looking for staff or making an attractive job advertisement

  ### 4. Great platform with lots of insights

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

The insights it can provide are amazing. There is so much to dive into with your team that you can then use to strategize on how to make improvements in multiple areas.

It also integrates with our ATS seamlessly which is great for us and saves time.

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

It's quite set in it's ways in terms of the words you can use in your JD's. It can make getting the JD's to a good score quite a challenge at times.

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's allowing us to ensure we are using inclusive language in our JD's.
We are also using the insights to analyse our hiring trends and to ensure we are hiring a diverse range of candidates.

  ### 5. HR AI and recruitment insights - the right way.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

The job decription reviews and scores; it has so much impact not only to the hiring process, but also the experience of candidates.

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Not much to comment on here, but I use it with an integration with SmartRecruiters and sometimes there might be some small crashes.

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Job Descriptions were a nightmare - long and duplicated sentences—but DataPeople is our main ally to not only fix that but also understand the impact it has on the candidates that read that, so the mechanics are not only fixing but also educating.

Our team's reporting has also improved; the recruiting productivity and gender report bring a new vision on how recruitment teams work.

  ### 6. DataPeople is a great tool for ensuring our job descriptions are up to date and accurate.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

DataPeople is a great tool for ensuring our job descriptions are up to date and accurate.

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

There are a few times where the score is weak due to verbiage we have to include and outside of our control.

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ensuring our descriptions are up to date and utilizing the best verbiage to attract candidates.

  ### 7. Grate and helpful

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dayki D. | Talent Acquisition Recruiter, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

I like that it makes my job descriptions a lot more attracitive and inclusive to my candidates. In my work this is really important since we want to make sure we reach the most accurate audience, but also consider everyone that should be consider and shouldn't be left out. I use this tool for every job description.

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Sometimes it's hard to meet the scores when changing the information on the job description, but once you get used to the tool it's easier.

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping me solve those job descriptions that are not inclusive and too long, so I can add the correct and enough information in each job position,

  ### 8. Overall positive experience with Datapeople

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Staffing and Recruiting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

The scoring capabilities in Datapeople were very helpful in providing the right guidance to our team members while creating job descriptions.
Datapeople was easy to use and had a strong UI.

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

The template structure/UI did not work well for our team given the amount of templates we would need to store. It would be great to have sub folder templates to better organize templates into functions, locations, etc.

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping Hiring Managers create compliant, consistent and inclusive job descriptions.

  ### 9. Datapeople is intuitive and has high impact outcomes.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 25, 2024

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Datapeople has created an intuitive platform that is quick and helpful to use. The level of feedback and recommendations is can make to improve your job descriptions is high and truly ensures that you are framing your role in the best way possible, while being inclusive.

Other pros are:
- Customer service is outstanding
-The will let you trial the platform for a role, see real time examples
-They offer you support and resources well before you sign with them
-They're global, flexible with time zones
-They continue to improve and expand what they offer
-There is no set-up time to implement for the smart editor

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

I wish their job description smart editor could be embedded into our ATS. However, I should highlight how easy it integrates and sends the updated JD to your ATS.

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have shortened our job descriptions so people take time to read and understand them, versus skimming because of length.
We are using more inclusive language that resonates with our global team.

  ### 10. Datepeople Great tool!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Noelia S. | Human Resources Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

It is a great tool for recruitment purposes. It really helps to compose engaging job ads, taking care of DEI aspect and right content. I also liked a lot the real data provided about the job ad metrics.

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

No comments so far. Probably the only thing is that the job ad needs to be in English. It would be good that the tool can work with different languages.

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Job Ad with the right content and engaging look&feel.

  ### 11. Evolution from Textio

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pete C. | Co-facilitator, Co-creator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2024

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Easy to use, lots of color-coding used to make it easier to navigate and make any needed updates, edits, and/or changes.

@ tagging others for viz and updates

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

No options or flexibility when it comes to job description length (e.g. it includes boiler plate in the word/text count).

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

promoting and highlighting gender neutral, inclusive, languaging and JD optimization

  ### 12. Definitely meets its purpose

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

I like the gamification piece of it. That gives you clear hints on what you can do better and how to improve the post. The guidelines make sense from a diversity standpoint.

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

I don't like that it has such a lower cap on the number of letters used, it's complicated to fit in certain job descriptions without changing the whole thing.

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tailoring JDs to all audiences and making them more accessible.

  ### 13. Great tool to improve our recruitment processes!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luis M. | Senior Talent Acquisition Partner, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

It is a great tool that help us reduce bias and improve our job descriptions to better position our company. It also gives the opportunity to have analytics on the processes which facilitate the decisions. I love the immediate integration with our ATS.

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

So far, nothing. Sometimes just it is difficult to get to a high score in the JDs hahaha but that is the idea. Again, GREAT tool.

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The way we write our Job Descriptions. The diverity in our pool of candidates to make decisions and inform the business.

  ### 14. An Incredible Tool!!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anabel D. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

I love how easily it integrates into our ATS and the overall ease of use. It makes it borderline impossible to not have the most inclusive, concise, and all-around impactful job posting.

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

I wish it was a bit easier to tailor it to industries. ex: we use "Senior Associate" as a job title often, but get dinged in DP for having a title that is too senior for the required years of experience. I would love to be able to tailor it more for the advertising industry and the most commonly used titles!

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DataPeople is reaching every area of the market that may be initially not interested in our job postings had we not used inclusive language and attracted talent with the concise description of the role and requirements.

  ### 15. Very professional

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Atupele L. | Field Operations Senior Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Give the score of how the job position will perform or underperform

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

There is nothing I dislike. I like everything about it

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To know if the job will underperfom

  ### 16. Fantastic and positive experience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Catriona C. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Easy to use platform. It is also easy to see where to make improvements with job posts and is very quick to make changes. The Datapeople team have been so helpful with implementing the platform. They have also helped us to think about how to integrate the platform with our workflow and how we can get the most out of it.

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

I like everything about the datapeople platform so far.

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using Datapeople to standardise our job descriptions so that they use more inclusive language and are as attractive as possible to candidates. This is so we can increase the diversity of colleagues in our organisation and, so we can get the best quality candidates. We are also using it to see how we can make our advert as attractive as possible and, will create a template for managers to use.

  ### 17. super usefull

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

its friendly makes JD shorter to candidates and easy to understand

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

sometimes its too picky, it keeps bringing the same topic over and over

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

long job descriptions

  ### 18. Made the JD more inclusive for us and good format.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gunjan L. | Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

The UI of sytem is good and also it gives your JD a good look and format.

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Some extra filteration of words are reducing quality of MQ PQ sometimes in JD.

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making more inclusive JD to hire good talent and increase diversity.

  ### 19. Oh man, DataPeople?

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rachel L. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

They’re total rockstars in the data analytics and inclusive hiring world! The insights we’ve gotten from DataPeople have been a game changer for our business growth. Using their suggestions to improve job postings feels like a fun game. Big thumbs up from me!

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Once you have a strong score, but not 100, there are no more suggestions on how to get a higher score.

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Contribute to the ongoing journey toward a more inclusive workplace.

  ### 20. Talent Acquisition Business Partner

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Datapeople is easy to use and the feature are really cool.

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Sometimes the integration can be a little wonky.

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datapeople has benefited me by providing job description management to help with diversity hiring.

  ### 21. Good experience in using Datapeople platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roxana M. | Talent Acquisition Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

- is easy to use it
- comes with many recommendations
- after you learn to use it, it takes 3-7 minutes to write a good job description
- offers a standard guideline
- comes with very ideas in how to improve your JD

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

- it still has some bugs - it does not calculate the overall score correctly all the time
- it does not recognise all the time
ex: for a Business Systems Analyst role, I wrote in the main requirements ,, At least 5 years of working experience in Business Systems Analyst -> in the score that is calculated, the platform still recommends to mention the experience that is required for this role; some times is doing the same with #LI-Hybrid and Benefits

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- writing job description
- idefying gramatical errors
- saving time
- being more creative
- being more close to the candidates

  ### 22. Datapeople Pilot - Wolters Kluwer Talent Acquistion

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Darin D. D. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

I am really enjoying the tool, the job descriptions are much more consistent and refined. I am very happy that we have access to this amazing tool. It is very easy to use and produces a fantastic end product that I am very proud of as a Recruiter. Jen Angel has been great with training and support as well!

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Once I got past the learning curve, which was short, I can truthfully say that there is nothing that I do not like about Datapeople and the tool. If I could think of something that I dislike I would gladly share but I truly enjoy using this tool.

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I feel that the job descriptions are much clearer and it makes them more consistent across our organization. I am a fan of the tool and happy that we have the ability to use it!

  ### 23. Datapeople is a nice tool to remove biases and make job postings more inclusive

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

I value the inclusion of alternative phrasing for terms to enhance their relevance to potential applicants. For instance, specifying "excel (pivot tables and VLookups)" rather than just "excel" provides clearer insight into the Excel skills expected for the role.

Moreover, the feature that highlights inclusive language in green is appreciated, as it serves as a positive reminder of the favorable aspects within the job posting.

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Rather than proposing the complete removal of unnecessary terms, like "strong organizational skills" or "ability to work in fast-paced environments," it would be beneficial if the suggestions included alternative options or sentence restructuring to maintain the intended meaning. This would help prevent instances where changes to wording disrupt the sentence's coherence.

The length of the job description should not include the company description and legal language in the evaluation of its length. These portions should remain unmodifiable.

It would be helpful if job titles were exempt from evaluations. Users could have the option to indicate that a job title is not adjustable, thereby preventing any negative impact on their score.

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I appreciate the Chrome plug-in for SmartRecruiters, allowing convenient updates without navigating to another site. It also enables us to enhance job descriptions inclusivity and eliminate biases that might deter qualified candidates.

  ### 24. Highly recommend this tool for writing inclusive and effective job ads and standardizing the process

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ivana C. | Candidate Experience Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2023

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

- great account management team, on top of their tasks
- fast and effective communication
- clear outline of the benefits
- very easy to use and integrate with ATS

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

- not many formatting options
- the scoring system is not completely clear
- sometimes the edits are just flagged - limited options to coach hiring managers

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We wanted to improve the consistency of our job ads across different markets and also to make our job ads more inclusive in order to attract more diverse candidates. Datapeople is providing just what we need.

  ### 25. Very satisfied overall with the use of Datapeople

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Working on making job adverts more inclusive and making them more accessible to a wider candidate group

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Some of the language that is considered to not be inclusive doesn't seem to fit with the context of what is being written and so seems to be an unfair assessment

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping with keeping the language of our adverts as inclusive as possible and helps me to consult hiring managers on best practices as well as creating greater awareness of inclusivity

  ### 26. Very Intuitive & Accessible

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James D. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Most of the suggestions make sense and are easy to action, for example changing passive voice into active voice ("the role reports into" - "you will report into"). The software is very intuitive and accessible.

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

The suggestions for improvement can sometimes be clunky / nonsensical. For example, we have a line in our job description saying "Behind the scenes is the real story", and Datapeople suggests removing 'real' as it says the adjective is unnecessary in this context.

SImilary, as part of our Benefits and Diversity statement, we say "all you need is a passion for food", as we're a food delivery brand, however it suggests using more approachable language like "experience with food", which doesn't convey the same meaning.

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our adverts have a low gender diversity response rate and Datapeople has helped to make them more inclusive.

  ### 27. User-friendly and seems to do what it promises!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Staffing and Recruiting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Datapeople is very easy to use, and integrates easily into our ATS. It explains the why behind every suggested edit, which is helpful when explaining the tool to other stakeholders too.

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

It is a little inconvenient that we can only edit outside of the ATS now. Maybe it is something I just don't know is possible, but it would be great to still be able to make changes within the ATS, as sometimes there are a few formatting issues especially when we have multiple posts of the same ad in different locations for example.

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using Datapeople we can make sure our job ads are attracting a more diverse workforce and is free of unconscious bias. I also believe that it might attract more relevant candidates and aid in the pre-selection of less qualified candidates for the role as the job ad will not speak to them as much.

  ### 28. Provides good tips on the best wording for job posts

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Oksana A. | Head of People Sourcing, Recruiting and Onboarding, Allianz SE, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Provides good tips for the job posting, makes you rethink the existing wording and make it more effective

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Despite the fact that we have datapeople as add on in SF, it is still not well integrated with SuccssFactors, need to use it as seperate website

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creates more crisp job descriptions

  ### 29. Great experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

I like using the Datapeople app as it helps me write a more noticeable job description. One that doesn't have unnecessary information, isn't too long and will make sure it reaches the correct target audience.

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

There are no dislikes about Datapeople at this time.

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Taking all of the non-necessary wording out of previously used job descriptions and making it more to he point.

  ### 30. A great tool to quickly improve the quality of job descriptions

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Datapeople provides some great suggestions on how to improve the quality of writing in our job descriptions, and use more inclusive language that will appeal to a wider audience and improve the diversity of our recruitment pipelines.

I work in a large team with multiple recruiters, and having some uniformity in our job posts goes a long way in improving employer brand perception. We now have standardised templates that share information on key topics such as our commitment to diversity and inclusion, and company policies and benefits.

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

The suggested omission of soft skills from the role description (e.g. verbal communication, ability to prioritise, attention to detail) can cause frustration with hiring managers, particularly for project-focused roles for which there aren't many measurable role requirements. Managers often like to include these soft skills to provide a better flavour for what the role will entail.

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Improving quality of writing: provides suggestions on how to improve the quality of writing in our job descriptions, and use more inclusive language that will appeal to a wider audience and improve the diversity of our recruitment pipelines.

Enabling us to save compliant job descriptions that are standardised across the recruitment function: I work in a large team with multiple recruiters, and having some uniformity in our job posts goes a long way in improving employer brand perception. We now have standardised templates that share information on key topics such as our commitment to diversity and inclusion, and company policies and benefits.

  ### 31. Your best review fellow

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mateusz C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

* It's really quick to get your ad reviewed
* It provides you hints and clarifications
* It empowers gamification - you simply want to improve the score and get closer to those 100p

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

* The approach for draft posts and your private posts is mixed up so make sure your post is not visible to everyone but is visible to those you're building your post with
* Some comments for specific wording is out of context - the suggestion is raised fir the use of the word in a very different syntax

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Increasing the odds for the post to be read and remembered by everyone. It helps me being more agnostic and speeds up building up the job offer.

  ### 32. Simplifying and gamifying your job adverts

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Phil W. | Talent Acquisition Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Datapeiple is really simple to use. Many of the recommendations made in an advert are straightforward but easy to miss. Having things highlighted gives you a quick way to review and improve the quality and readability of adverts.

The focus on quality hones your mind; the score creates a metric to compare and contrast.

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Don't mindlessly accept every recommendation, as you risk diluting adverts to the point that you may not even recognise them.

The AI doesnt always pick up reporting lines or working arrangements.

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping to ensure that adverts across our group are of a high quality and driving inclusive recruitment best practice - at least from a language perspective.

  ### 33. What a Great Tool for More Inclusive Job Postings!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Datapeople has shown to be extremely helpful in calling out language that we may not have realized was excluding candidates. It is a great tool to help increase our inclusivity in our job postings!

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

The only thing that I haven't loved thus far about Datapeople is that there have been a few instances where there have been system errors that we've had to take back to the Datapeople tech team to review and correct.

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datapeople has helped us increase our inclusivity of our job postings and therefore increased the number of overall candidates applying to our roles. As a recruiter, it is awesome to be able to have a larger candidate pool from which to choose!

  ### 34. Datapeople helped me to learn how to right Job description in a right manner.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** saba I. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Datapeople suggestion to write the job desription in such a way that it attracts the candidate.

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Too many autocorrections, when it comes to suggesting synonyms to a particular word and spelling check.

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datapeople is helping me to write Job description in a correct manner, in a way that helps candidates to understand the role better, which ultimately helped me to increase my performance, it helped me to reach the right candidates.

  ### 35. Datapeople has been a huge help in seeing job descriptions from an unbiased viewpoint!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer B. | Talent Acquisition Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Datapeople helps make our job descriptions more attractive and inclusive to diverse candidates. It has easily integrated with our ATS system, making the platform very user-friendly. The weekly calls we hold with our account rep are informative and it seems like they are making updates to better serve their clients on a regular basis. Its great to have a tool be a 2nd set of eyes to help make our job descriptions consistent and accurate across the company.

I have found the reporting function to be insightful, although I have not done much with it yet. I hope to dive more into this feature soon!

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

I have not come across dislikes yet. I also don't have another platform to compare it to.

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping us reduce our bias and improve overall job description & post consistency and inclusivity. It also catches errors and lengthiness within the job descriptions, which we do not always see from an internal recruiting point of view. Its great to have a viewpoint from an external candidate point of view.

  ### 36. Good product but could use some refinement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

I think the overall core functions of the product work well. Knowing our postings are more inclusive is reassuring. It's intuitive on how to improve the score of postings, and it doesn't take long to get your posting your target score.

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

The most common suggestion is that our job postings are too long. However, that is largely due to our diversity statement and including compensation information on the job post. My more recent postings have earned scores in the ~70 range (we require a min. score of 85) but if I delete the two mentioned sections, the score jumps to 90+.

Personally, I don't think those sections should count. They're not describing the job per se. It also is frustrating that our score is dinged for not including them.

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It tells us how inclusive or to what quality our job postings currently are. Inbound applications usually hold the lowest signal-to-noise ratio so anything we can do to increase their quality is meaningful.

  ### 37. Datapeople is a nice and helpful tool, but has to still improve.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

I like to see the parts/points that need my attention and proposals for improvement. Also the bullet points with ideas what else needs to be added (e.g. the diversity statement).

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

I don't like when it offers only one option and forces me to use it, although it's not correct and it would change what I wanna say.
Plus it offers usually the same options and in my job posting, e.g. in the requirements, I do not want to have there "experience" three times. The score "increases", but it looks definitely strange. Some variety is definitely missing.

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It offers other view on the JD. For now, I cannot evaluate if this will lead to a more diverse talent pool... time will tell.

  ### 38. Great insight and user interface

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Megan S. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

I really enjoy the insight that Datapeople provides to its users. I also think that the user interface is clean and aesthetic.

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

I wish that I could "x" out of some of the suggestions, like location (most are remote) or critiques on company-wide boiler-plate language.

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datapeople helps me to understand what language to use to recruit diverse candidates. It also gives me data to support the changes that I make to the job description.

  ### 39. It is an accessible platform, easy to use and with many guides and recommendations.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** MARIANA J. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

It ´s a plataform friendly, attractive and easy to use, the guides , the keywordsIt contains guides, many help with words that help and do not help for a better score.

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Actually there is something that I dislike, I think it is a great help, it only requires investing a couple of hours of practice, to be doing tests to identify the keywords and get excellent results.

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 40. Great tool for sprucing up job descriptions

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Staffing and Recruiting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Datapeople makes it easy to edit job descriptions to attract more qualified and diverse talent. It flags areas in your job description that may be lacking that you normally wouldn't think of.

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

It takes a little while to understand the UI and layout. I had to go through two trainings to figure out how to best use the tool . Also, I can't find the "datapeople everywhere" integration that allows me to make edits directly in the SmartRecruiters API.

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datapeople makes my job descriptions standout. I've been able to attract a wider range of more qualified candidates to my jobs. It also takes out a lot of the effort associated with editing JDs.

  ### 41. Helpful tool

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Airlines/Aviation | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Intelligent application that helps you to optmize your jobavertisements regarding differents variables like understaning, diversity, title ect.. Due that its based on AI, it makes it relly easy and understandable to optimize.

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

I work in Germany and most of our jobposts we still post in German language. However, the tool is designed and optimized for the English language, which makes it a bit cumbersome to optimize the ads in other languages accordingly.

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- perfect length of jobposts
- diversity optimized language
- better titles
- better, more targeted expression
- useful hastags

--> good starting point to optimize the ads with the hiring managers, because the tool shows you very clearly and well-founded what there is to optimize.

  ### 42. DataPeople is easy to use, makes writing a JD less daunting

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Staffing and Recruiting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

- Good formatting
- Good recommendations
- Simple and nice layout that helps structure a JD

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

- I find the 'scores' you have to hit, and the kind of words/phrases which are highlighted as being 'not recommended' are too limiting for what most companies need to write

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think Job Description management is what i find most useful about DataPeople. The Diversity recruitment aspect can be a little limiting due to the bar required to hit the score - which can end up causing the JD to be too vague.

  ### 43. Quick review of Datapeople

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve B. | Senior Recruiter, Engineering , Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Checks that I am using the most inclusive language possible to attract a diverse audience to my job postings.

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

The suggestion that # years of experience is an important inclusion in job adverts. The recommendation is counter-intuitive to all the fantastic other suggestions.

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping us attract a wider audience to our job vacancies and making sure that nobody feels excluded when applying.

  ### 44. Amazing Experience. Definity helps enhace our requisitions.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Francisco D. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

I liked that it enables the user to change existing requisitions to ensure they become attractive to candidates. It allows repetition to be removed from requisitions while adding keywords that will help find candidates. I also enjoyed that the platform recommends entering the work location and who the candidate will report to, as it is crucial in finding qualified candidates.

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

I would like to see the integration from Datapeople to Workday to be enhanced. I like that we can use the requisitions that have been posted in Workday to create drafts but it would be easier to able to edit the requisitions and repost all via Datapeople.

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem with many of our requisitions is that they contained verbiage explicitly geared towards our site. By enhancing our keywords, we can now reach a broader audience.

  ### 45. Good tool for establishing consistency in job descriptions.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kate S. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Having a library of JDs to access really helps eliminate the legwork hiring managers have to do when opening new roles. The uniformity of headers, footers, standardized clauses, etc. is nice to be able to plug in and duplicate across requisitions. Recommendations/scoring provided when preparing JDs is often helpful and encourages brevity, inclusion, proper wording, among other things. The Lever integration via Chrome extension works quite well too.

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

The low likelihood of scoring "high," especially for technical roles, is discouraging for hiring managers who are trying to be inclusive. In addition, some of the recommendations for wording are clunky/repetitive.

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lack of consistency in JDs, JDs that are too long/wordy, continuity in JDs.
Having a more uniform/standardized format has been helpful.

  ### 46. Okay alternative to Textio

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

-Inclusive language
-Similar UI to Textio

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

-Some suggestions for hard skills don't make sense (i.e. Microsoft Excel)
-Needs more vocabulary or phrase suggestions (Textio had more features)
-GH integration was clunky (messed up formatting) so it's easier to just copy and paste and not use the sync feature
-When collaborating with Hiring Managers, it's not syncing properly so we have been moving off of DataPeople and making edits to JD on a Google Doc instead
-Some Hiring Managers don't like that it shows who the role reports to because they can get a lot of outreach from external agencies

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using inclusive language in JDs

  ### 47. Extremely easy to use! Creating a Job description has never been easier!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Advika S. | Technical Recruiter, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Super easy to use. I like how intuitive the sotware is when it comes to making suggestions to my job descriptions.

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Nothing really, although sometimes it can be tricky to achieve the required score with suggestions like creating two jobs instead of one.

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping us build inclusive Job desriptions.

  ### 48. Great help for writing concise job ads

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew B. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Easy to use
Integrates with CRM well
Helpful prompts
Great insights

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Nothing !
The system is really simply to use

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ensuring that my job ads are viewed and reviewed by the widest audience possible

  ### 49. Good Product Overall

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

The ease of creating specifications with premade templates makes it easier to focus on the content of the advert. Once defined, datapeople compliant templates are in place it can really smooth out the process.

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Sometimes Datapeople will flag some terminology which is specific to roles as not compliant. This then brings down your score so a function to ignore the suggestions would be a useful addition.

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datapeople allows for easy removal of phrases/words that would put people off applying for positions. Often this is useful as it would be difficult without these highlighted to locate them if looking at a block of text.

  ### 50. Highly recommend Datapeople!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

Datapeople has helped allow users to write more inclusive job postings. The tool includes ensuring that the job length is correct, the diversity statement is included, and the salary and benefits are included. Datapeople is a highly collaborative tool for hiring managers and recruiters to work together on one platform. The tool helps identify unbiased information, which will help support DEI strategies and result in more inclusive and diverse talent pools.

**What do you dislike about Datapeople (by Payscale)?**

A score under 85 indicates how likely your job posting is to underperform. To increase your score, you can add the compensation and benefits section. I don't see this as a downside, but it would be helpful to improve your score to 85 by filling out the job requirements section first and then, if needed, adding the compensation and benefits section to increase the score further.

**What problems is Datapeople (by Payscale) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem that Datapeople is solving is to ensure inclusive job postings. It identifies unbiased information, acts as a centralized tool for collaboration across hiring managers and recruiters on one central platform, supports DEI strategies, and ultimately results in diverse and inclusive talent pools.
