## D4H Reviews
  ### 1. D4H keeps me on track!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emma T. | Emergency Medical Technician, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2022

**What do you like best about D4H?**

The dashboard feature shows me a great overview of what's going on with my volunteer team. I am able to stay up to date on the events, who is going, page outs that we have, repairs we need to work on, and who is available for deployment at that very moment. It is such a great platform to have a lot of information organized and user-friendly, especially for the rescue team that I am on.

**What do you dislike about D4H?**

For now, I do not have any dislikes for D4H. My team uses the platform pretty sparingly so it would be hard to mess up the few tabs we use. I find the website to be user-friendly and navigatable.

**What problems is D4H solving and how is that benefiting you?**

D4H helps solve the many potential websites and systems that a company/business/volunteer team may need to use to keep everything organized and everyone involved and in the know. So much of our operations can be found on the one platform, which I find to be extremely beneficial.

**Official Response from Amy Brennan:**

> Great to hear D4H is helping to keep your rescue team organized! Thanks for sharing your feedback Emma :)

  ### 2. Solid and flexible platform for volunteer SAR organization!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Safety | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2022

**What do you like best about D4H?**

I love the flexibility and customizability of the platform. There always seems to be a way to make D4H do what we want.

**What do you dislike about D4H?**

One of my major grips is the inability to customize the standard reports. For instance, when looking at the built-in monthly reports, incidents, exercises, and events with the same tracking number are not treated as the same event. Therefore these items get duplicated. The monthly report number ends up not matching what is displayed on the dashboard. These PDF reports can be super helpful but would be great to have a few options to customize them to make them more useful.

**Recommendations to others considering D4H:**

it makes a world of difference, just do it! When implementing, take your plan and plan things out. Identify what you want to be able to accomplish so you have less re-work.

**What problems is D4H solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest issue we solved is just having one place to store things (personnel training records, attendance, equipment inventory). Previous these items were kept on various spreadsheets that some people didn't want to share. This benefits everyone. Another benefit I had not realized was transparency, a member can see what equipment the organization thinks they have. If they see something wrong they can get it fixed. Really the benefits just keep growing.

**Official Response from Amy Brennan:**

> Thank you for sharing how D4H has helped your SAR team! Enhanced reporting is definitely something we're working on - you can expect faster, more customizable, and more visually appealing reports later this year to early next year.

  ### 3. Great pacakge for first responder

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Enforcement | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2022

**What do you like best about D4H?**

D4h allows your organization to streamline training, equipment, enventory levels and allows easy communication with your team. Too many options to mention. Always adding more too!

**What do you dislike about D4H?**

Some functions require a bit of tuning and revision, but the d4h teams is always modifying the program to make it better. Some of the maps are a bit outdated overall pretty good

**Recommendations to others considering D4H:**

Take a look at it. It's worth the effort and the money!

**What problems is D4H solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to have to keep enventory, training records and a bunch od different spreadsheets. This combined it all. The quick communication with the team saves valuable time.

**Official Response from Amy Brennan:**

> Delighted to hear D4H is saving your team valuable time - thanks for sharing!

  ### 4. I use D4H as a search and rescue volunteer

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2022

**What do you like best about D4H?**

the most helpful part of D4H is planning my schedule as well as seeing who I can expect to see at events. I enjoy the ease of responding with availability and getting my hours logged.

**What do you dislike about D4H?**

I dislike how to-do lists that do not apply to me appear. I also dislike how events that already happened appear prominently on the homepage because I rarely ever refer back to old events

**Recommendations to others considering D4H:**

N/A

**What problems is D4H solving and how is that benefiting you?**

D4H is helping with planning events with attendance and recording hours. It also manages my organization's personnel and keeps them updated on the career ladder and check offs

**Official Response from Amy Brennan:**

> Thank you for sharing your feedback!

  ### 5. USAR inventory

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Warehousing | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2022

**What do you like best about D4H?**

With a quick search I can find any item in our cache of USAR equipment. It's broken into the smallest key words so really anyone can find the exact location of the needed supplies.

**What do you dislike about D4H?**

Sometimes how information is entered into the system makes it hard to find specific equipment. You have to think of all possible combinations of the spectrum it could fall under.

**Recommendations to others considering D4H:**

Get as much time using it as possible

**What problems is D4H solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sometimes it hard to use on a mobile device or phone but being web based if we have internet then we have D4H any place in the world we may end up on a USAR mission.

**Official Response from Amy Brennan:**

> Thank you for an honest review! Glad to hear D4H helps keep your USAR inventory organized.

  ### 17. Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Safety | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2022

**What do you like best about D4H?**

The ease of using it, especially when writing reports.

**What do you dislike about D4H?**

Downsides are not being able to add custom tabs, and our Overtime and Double Time rates do not auto-calculate in the costing section of our reports. We have to calculate the rates manually.

**What problems is D4H solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We do not currently have any issues with D4H other than the Overtime and Double Time rates not auto-calculating in the costing section. D4H has not been able to figure out a solution for this yet.

**Official Response from Amy Brennan:**

> Thank you for sharing your feedback! It would be great if you could contact support@d4h.com about the overtime and double time rates and we will submit a feature request for you.

  ### 20. never had a problem

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** mike t. | inspector, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2021

**What do you like best about D4H?**

easy call out option- just click who on my team is qualified and write message - and automaticaly everyone gets a text or email

**What do you dislike about D4H?**

there is almost to many options- i dont use D4H enough to utilize most of the options- so i spend more time going threw the menus trying to find what iam looking for. we are a small team with limited equipment and resources, but are trying to use this tool as the best we can. its not really a dislike, more of a frustration when the police call and your trying quickly to call out a team, and it been some time since you used the tool.

**Recommendations to others considering D4H:**

iam not able to put up a pick of my log in- the D4H symbol is there and not able to delete from this page

**What problems is D4H solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we are using to call out our team for exercises using D4H on a regular basis and logging in for all training purposes. just making the team spend more time with the tool.

**Official Response from Amy Brennan:**

> Thank you for your review, Mike! We recently released a new knowledge base, it's very user friendly and easy to navigate. It might come in useful if you're ever struggling to find something!

  ### 21. Easy to navigate

  ### 22. Simplifies our lives

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vernon N. | President CCMR, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2021

**What do you like best about D4H?**

I really like how much easier our administrative task are now that we are using D4H. The fact that we can multiple entry points for multiple users is really handy. The simplicity of the dashboard is awesome for our users. One of the most important features for us and that has really helped our team is the ability to track qualifications. We can now do this in D4H and this used to be something that was in spreadsheet and was a nightmare and only one or two people could make any sense of what was going on.

**What do you dislike about D4H?**

I wish D4H was a bit more customizable or at least there was a way we could ask for customizations (maybe there is and I do not know about it). For instance in my state they ask us to track milage for missions and trainings of all members/responders but there doesn't seem to be an easy way to do that in D4H then add that to the reports that we provide to the EMS department.

**Recommendations to others considering D4H:**

D4H has excellent support. Whenever we have needed help, they have been there for us and worked with us to make D4H fit our needs.

**What problems is D4H solving and how is that benefiting you?**

lowering administrative burden has been the big thing. We used to have only one person who really knew how to work spreadsheets well and was having to track all of our trainings, missions and hours. D4H allows multiple people to do that easily. Also the tracking of member requirements has been much easier.

**Official Response from Amy Brennan:**

> Thank you for a great review, Vernon!

You may need to turn on the Costings module to track mileage, it's in Settings > Costings :)

Please feel free to send any feature requests over to support@d4h.org!

  ### 23. Easy to learn

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2021

**What do you like best about D4H?**

This program was easy to learn and allows for many different reports and records to keep.

**What do you dislike about D4H?**

There are a few edits I would make regarding pre-loaded reports that can't quite be customized. I wish there was a way to add one more field onto incident reports to add personal mileage.

**What problems is D4H solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When one person would leave the group (who was our record keeper) we had a problem with transferring records to someone new, so this completely solved that, as well as out ability to now forward quarterly reports to the SO.

**Official Response from Amy Brennan:**

> Thanks for your review, great to hear how D4H has streamlined your team's record keeping.

We'll be adding mileage on attendance reports in the near future - keep an eye on https://updates.d4htechnologies.com/ for when it's released!

Tracking training and qulifications

**Official Response from Amy Brennan:**

> Thank you for sharing your experiences with D4H! We've added some quick start guides to our Knowledge Base - they might come in handy!

  ### 25. Grid type heads up display for checking tasks and training

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John H. | Sales Associate - Customer Service / Paints, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2021

**What do you like best about D4H?**

Old-school grid type info display but not too busy to quickly find what I am looking for and sign up

**What do you dislike about D4H?**

It was a little hard to locate links for documents attached to a training event.

**Recommendations to others considering D4H:**

Hold an orientation session in a training class or make some videos of the implementation in action

**What problems is D4H solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quickly getting info on tasks and training solves the back and forth with phone, text, and email.

**Official Response from Amy Brennan:**

> Really appreciate the feedback, John!

  ### 26. D4H Review by Roger Couture NSSAR

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roger C. | Full Professor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2021

**What do you like best about D4H?**

D4H is a comprehensive software that helps to monitor many handy features like practise training, critical events, sites of geographical locations, emails and descriptions of all certified and non-certified team members, inventories of all equipment, inventory of all certifications with updates on coming expiry dates, etc.

**What do you dislike about D4H?**

D4H is a challenge to lear. As a result of its comprehensive possibilities, there is a lot to remember to navigate confidently initially. Once understood, its use becomes obvious, until it needs to be taught to newcomers.

**Recommendations to others considering D4H:**

We use D4H as a comprehensive software that assists us in doing our jobs; to search for lost people or remains. To assist our Police forces, we must be well organized and well equipped to do our part. This software package is one of the tools that helps us greatly to achieve what has come to be expected by the various Police forces. I recommend this product.

**What problems is D4H solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to monitor our volunteer hours, maintenance hours, meeting times, summary notes of past searches. It also allows us to know who the members are on duty and those who are unavailable. The software further allows quick responses via emails, and it enables us to know the qualifications of each member.

**Official Response from Amy Brennan:**

> Thank you for such a comprehensive review, Roger! Great to hear D4H has helped with NSSAR's team management.

  ### 27. Great Piece of Software

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Safety | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2021

**What do you like best about D4H?**

D4H brings all of our statistics together in one spot. We are able to show our impact on the community easily to both our donors and our members.

**What do you dislike about D4H?**

The inability to generate a callout in the mobile app is a real pain. It means that our call-out coordinator is tethered to a physical computer when deploying the team. The ability to create a callout from the mobile app would mean that there would not be such a need to have as many members of the team managing this one aspect. Some members of the team rely very heavily on things in reality, being mirrored in D4H. This can cause them some concern if an event does not lend itself to inclusion in D4H.

**What problems is D4H solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are tracking our equipment and person-hours in the application. Previously we were only able to determine the number of volunteer hours the team had generated each year through a pain-staking manual count of hours. D4H makes this available at the click of a button. We are now able to generate statistics on our impact at the very moment they are necessary. We now include these when fund raising.

**Official Response from Amy Brennan:**

> Thank you for leaving a balanced review :) I will pass your feedback onto the team!

  ### 28. GSAR Volunteer Perspective

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael C. | Ground search and rescue volunteer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2021

**What do you like best about D4H?**

I like how everything is in one place. One program/application for use from volunteer level to provincial SAR management level.

**What do you dislike about D4H?**

The mobile app and mobile website view looses some important functionality. I often need to log into the website on my phone and switch to desktop view to accomplish tasks.

**What problems is D4H solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organizing our team with shared calendar events is fantastic.

**Official Response from Amy Brennan:**

> Thanks, Michael!

  ### 29. Great software

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Events Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2022

**What do you like best about D4H?**

Easy and accessible for all people in the group.

**What do you dislike about D4H?**

Sometimes doesn't work correctly on the mobile platform.

**Recommendations to others considering D4H:**

It gets the job done!

**What problems is D4H solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping track of people going to events.

**Official Response from Amy Brennan:**

> Thanks for your review! With the mobile apps, your best bet is to make sure you have the most up-to-date version downloaded. If any problems persist, please don't hesitate to contact our help desk at support@d4h.com.

  ### 30. Review of D4H

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert M Clark J. | Faculty (Counselor, Professor); past-Department Chairperson, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2021

**What do you like best about D4H?**

I like that all my information in regard to Alameda County SAR (personal, organization) are in one place and very accessible. The site is highly navigatable and user-friendly. Additionally, it is important that our volunteer hours are accurately captured for program reporting; D4H provides an easy, user-friendly process/portal to achieve that goal.

**What do you dislike about D4H?**

Nothing! The site provides everything I need, in regard to ALCO SAR-related personal and organizational business. Again, the site provides all the pertinent information I require as a SAR volunteer.

**Recommendations to others considering D4H:**

I would highly recommend this portal for those in the SAR community.

**What problems is D4H solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have had no 'problems' to solve, at all. In terms fo benefits, it is highly useful to have all required documents in one easily navigatable location.

**Official Response from Amy Brennan:**

> Thank you for the lovely review, Robert! Delighted to hear D4H is working well for ALCO SAR :)

  ### 31. Great software to manage the admin side of SAR teams

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Safety | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2021

**What do you like best about D4H?**

I primarily use it for the admin side of my SAR team. I like that I can customize certifications, their expiry dates, and that D4H will give searchers an 8-week notice that something is expiring. It helps keep us on track.

**What do you dislike about D4H?**

When I'm responding to a callout I can either indicate I'm attending or not. I can't respond "I can come but not until 6:00pm". The ability to indicate I can come later in the search would be beneficial.

**What problems is D4H solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to log whether or not a searcher qualifies for the Canadian SAR tax credit is amazing. It saves a ton of time.

**Official Response from Amy Brennan:**

> Thank you for the helpful feedback! It's always great to hear how D4H is helping SAR teams be more organized :)

  ### 32. Very useful tool for SAR purposes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve H. | Financial Services Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2021

**What do you like best about D4H?**

The ability to see all training, tasks, events, etc in one place.

**What do you dislike about D4H?**

Equipment management could be better. Some categories are too broad or irrelevant to SAR operations.

**Recommendations to others considering D4H:**

Learn how to use all the features before implementing all of them

**What problems is D4H solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organizing team members (availalbility) and resources (overdue maintenace, repairs, etc.)

**Official Response from Amy Brennan:**

> Thank you for the feedback, Steve! I've linked an article below that talks you through editing your equipment categories and kinds.

  ### 33. Excellent product for emergency response management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Civic & Social Organization | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2021

**What do you like best about D4H?**

This package is intuitive and easy to use. When we activate in an emergency we are utilising personnel that have minimal exposure to the D4H prior to the event, yet they quickly navigate themselves around the system with ease.

**What do you dislike about D4H?**

Nothing to comment here. Where improvements are identified the D4H team work hard to develop the package to enhance our experience.

**What problems is D4H solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sharing of information amongst multiple agencies in an emergency response situation where time and access to information is critical.

**Official Response from Amy Brennan:**

> Thank you for a great review!

  ### 34. Good experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Philip S. | Health and Quality Manager , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2021

**What do you like best about D4H?**

It's the ease of use and layout of the platform that I really like. Also, all the information that you have available.
The mobile app makes it also very convenient and always have it "in your pocket".
I will recommend this platform, especially using the website version. The website version provides the user with so much information and it is in an easy to use layout. Once you are on the Dashboard, you already see a broad overview, all on one page, of what is happening within the team or organization.

**What do you dislike about D4H?**

Sometimes the mobile application is a bit unresponsive, even with a good internet signal. I would also like more offline features.
It seems like the App has much less functionality than the web page, regarding the information provided. I would like to see a possible update where the mobile app will have a similar ease of use and amount of information as the web page.
When the mobile app gets an update to where it contains similar information as the web page, I will happily give it a 10 out of 10.

**Recommendations to others considering D4H:**

I don't know if this is already available, but some tutorial videos will definitely help new users in starting off and understanding the platform.

**What problems is D4H solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding all the training information, including date, time and location on the D4H website is very useful. It saves a lot of time and effort to have this platform.
Just looking on the Dashboard of the website, gives you a broad picture of what's happening within the team or organization.
Within the Planning tab of the website, there are numerous functions on improving emergency and response call outs.

**Official Response from Amy Brennan:**

> Thanks for the great feedback, Philip!

We're working hard to bring more and more functionality to our mobile apps. In the meantime, I'd suggest making sure you have the newest versions of our apps downloaded. We completely replaced some older versions last year!

  ### 35. An excellent tool for emergency response

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dan D. | Owner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2021

**What do you like best about D4H?**

D4H allows our team to do so many of the required tasks an organization like ours requires... from team rosters, tracking qualifications and availability, tracking equipment and maintenance. We can create reports on incidents, training, team member hours, etc. I also like how we can manage our equipment inventory, schedule inspections/maintenance on those items, mark them as Out of Service if necessary, etc.

**What do you dislike about D4H?**

The tool is quite simple to use and learn, but with simplicity comes some of the downsides that could easily be improved. In the text fields for trainings/incidents, it is plain text only, they don't allow any HTML or Markdown editing, no bullet lists, bold text, links, text formatting, etc.

**What problems is D4H solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping track of volunteer rosters and qualifications with expiration dates was always a challenge, but now with D4H it is so easy to see the status of the team at any point. There are even emails that can be configured to remind you when a qualification is coming up on expiration, etc. It reduces the time it takes to manage teams of any size.

**Official Response from Amy Brennan:**

> Thank you for a great review, Dan!

I've marked text formatting as a feature request to be discussed, thanks for suggesting it!

  ### 36. Best tool around for Incident Management!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam Z. | Assistant Chief / Operations Section Chief, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2021

**What do you like best about D4H?**

D4H is a highly customizable and easy to use planning tool so incidents can be handled effectively. Our state has been using this for several years for both large and small scale incidents and events. The multi-user interface can be as simple or as detailed as you like. At the end of an incident, files can be printed or downloaded for future reference. Forms can be easily customized for acceptance by federal agencies. Learning to use this is easy and quick allowing new users to perform well even learning while on an incident. All information being entered is shared real-time.

**What do you dislike about D4H?**

The only downside of any cloud based application is that many users will prefer to use paper and pencil. Once a user tries it, they will change their mind.

**What problems is D4H solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have used this program on small parades through state wide disasters. We have benefited by having a complete event log, flawless documentation, and a unified data system to be used by all participants. Any suggestions for improvements are quickly addressed by D4H in a personnel and friendly manner. The support we receive is some of the best I have had.

**Official Response from Amy Brennan:**

> Thank you for an excellent review, Adam! Great to hear D4H Incident Management is working well for you guys.

  ### 37. Giving us the data we need to make smarter decisions

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adrian S. | Chairperson, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2021

**What do you like best about D4H?**

The number of hours it saves us in admin

**What do you dislike about D4H?**

I struggle to think of anything that isn't user friendly

**What problems is D4H solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use D4H to centrally record our team members' personal details, keep a log of events/ training they have attended & qualifications gained. It has an improved calendar which now allows the team members to forward plan their own training and make them self sufficient.
The On/Off-call function means we know ahead of time if we are going to be short of a particular specialism such as off-road drivers.
Communications are faster and easier as we can email, text & voice message people from a particular group or event at a click of a button without needing to manually do mailing lists. The whiteboard also helps to spread info that is not so urgent.
We use D4H to track our equipment and know when it needs inspecting or when it changes locations. We also record tasks, which has been particularly useful during the COVID pandemic when we're not able to face-to-face but need to know when tasks are completed. Finally, we use D4H to share & store documents, particularly pre-reading for training.

**Official Response from Amy Brennan:**

> Thanks for such a positive review, Adrian! It's always great to hear D4H is helping save valuable time!

  ### 38. D4H Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sandeep B. | S, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2021

**What do you like best about D4H?**

Allows check-in which helps our team organize, manage better. In event of emergency call this D4H app on the phones becomes very handy to find who is available and reach out to team members.

**What do you dislike about D4H?**

App interface can be improved. We need to motivate people to use more. The app is very powerful, handy tool but lacks popularity.

**Recommendations to others considering D4H:**

D4H app on iphone made more robust so that we don't have to rely everytime on destop/web version to login.

**What problems is D4H solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. Helps with attendance
2. sharing a event internal or nearby
3. Event management
4. response time is faster when D4H is used, efficient

**Official Response from Amy Brennan:**

> Thank you very much for the feedback, Sandeep! Delighted to hear D4H has helped to improve the efficiency of your incident responses.

  ### 39. D4H is an excellent all round system for first responders

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Safety | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2021

**What do you like best about D4H?**

The availability to download different apps for different parts of the system making it easy to access and amend things you need whilst on the move.

**What do you dislike about D4H?**

Sometimes the apps can be a bit buggy but the support team are always on hand to fix it when needed.

**What problems is D4H solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's easy to keep track of my training and progess, as well as keeping track of upcoming events/training with the calendar. It's also super easy to keep on top of equipment checks and other outstanding tasks.

**Official Response from Amy Brennan:**

> Thank you for a great review! Delighted to hear D4H has helped with your team's personnel and equipment readiness.

  ### 40. Website works great, app can be hit or miss

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Safety | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2021

**What do you like best about D4H?**

Easy to use, very interactive website. Makes monitoring events easy and contains tons of sections for different information.

**What do you dislike about D4H?**

I find the app sometimes slow to update with information that has been posted, quicker to get updates on the website than the app.

**Recommendations to others considering D4H:**

Another great tool to add.

**What problems is D4H solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Good to track who or how many are responding to call outs or training

**Official Response from Amy Brennan:**

> Thank you for leaving a balanced review - your feedback is really helpful! :)

  ### 41. Critical Software for our GSAR Network

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John G. | Risk Management Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2021

**What do you like best about D4H?**

This software is essential for easily maintaining members qualifications and proof documentation. The alerts on expiration of qualifications keeps the members and overhead up to date and responsive to ensure members are cleared for active duty. This is one of my favorite features as a senior member.

**What do you dislike about D4H?**

Having used a variety of info management systems in various roles, I can honestly say there isn't any part of D4H that I could gripe about. The only minor negative I could possibly system does so much and has so many functions which may not be pertinent to front line members and may make their experience a bit more confusing.

**What problems is D4H solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Member qualifications and hours logged on incidents/events/exercises is the biggest benefit to our organization.
This benefits us in that members and the overheads can easily monitor stats and readiness for our team

**Official Response from Amy Brennan:**

> Thanks, John! Delighted to hear D4H has helped with your SAR team management :)

  ### 42. Goodbye Excel - Hello D4H

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Frank B. | Team Lead, K9 Handler, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2021

**What do you like best about D4H?**

Consolidated collection of our team data, accessible from anywhere (with internet access). Intuitive and easy to use interface that works well on computers, tablets amd phones. Way better than all the distributed spreadsheets we used to use.

**What do you dislike about D4H?**

Ad-hoc reporting is limited. The reporting tool is easy to use but options are limited. Often dump the data to excel and use excel formulas to combine and filter data to meet our team's reporting needs

**What problems is D4H solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Key is managing of qualifications, and tracking expiration dates. We can be more proactive in planning and scheduling courses to keep members skills current. We have also integrated D4H with our paging system, so member contact info and availability only needs to be maintained in one place.

**Official Response from Amy Brennan:**

> Thanks for the feedback, Frank!

  ### 43. Powerful System to provide incident management and tracking

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richie S. | Lieutenant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2021

**What do you like best about D4H?**

Many different options and fields available

**What do you dislike about D4H?**

Poor interaction with external applications

**What problems is D4H solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Provided inventory and training tracking so expiration dates and team member qualifications can easily be seen and kept updated.

**Official Response from Amy Brennan:**

> Thank you for the feedback Richie! If there's a specific integration you'd like to see please let us know! I've linked our existing integrations below.

  ### 44. Enhanced visibility in to the time and effort it takes to keep our organization at its best

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gerrit P. | Field Director / Mission Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2021

**What do you like best about D4H?**

D4H is robust and customizable, it allows us to capture the data that is relevant to our mission and allows us to recognize the time and efforts that our members dedicate to our team, with detailed reports.

**What do you dislike about D4H?**

Some of the permissions are a bit "all or nothing". It would be great if we could allow people who had specific roles within an incident to edit parts of the incident report. There are some enhancements I would like to see to some of the reporting features, that would allow us to be able to run different types of attendance reports for specific individuals, or a group of them.

**Recommendations to others considering D4H:**

Its important to understand how your organization operates, and what is important from an information gathering and reporting aspect. If you have someone that understands data relationships and how to interact with APIs it well help with a smooth rollout.

**What problems is D4H solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been able to migrate from our aging reporting platform in to something more modern and flexible, and inline with what other SAR teams are using. Members have increased visibility into team activities, and our reports are become more accurate and consistent.

**Official Response from Amy Brennan:**

> Thanks Gerrit! Great to hear D4H has brought increased visibility to your team's operations.

Thanks for your feedback on permissions and reports, I've noted this for discussion.

  ### 45. Snohomish County SAR use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James S. | Senior Technical Product Manager, Security Products - Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2020

**What do you like best about D4H?**

Easy site to use for tracking everyone's training requirements and making sure that everyone is up to date. We also use it to track all missions, training events and meetings. That allows us to track everyone's volunteering hours.

**What do you dislike about D4H?**

The only real confusing part is when folks want to update their training - its too easy to end up creating a new course rather then updating a person's record..

**What problems is D4H solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's handy for emailing a group of folks to remind them of trainings and meetings. We also use it for upcoming planned missions -- like a search will occur tomorrow - that way we can see what the turn out will be. For live missions we tend to stick with the 911 system and its paging - via mobile texting.

**Official Response from Amy Brennan:**

> Thank you for this feedback, James!

  ### 46. D4H had been very helpful with declaring, monitoring, and managing search and rescue operations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2021

**What do you like best about D4H?**

Easy to navigate and utilize the site on phone or computer

**What do you dislike about D4H?**

Formatting could be tidied up a bit to make the site more streamlined

**Recommendations to others considering D4H:**

None

**What problems is D4H solving and how is that benefiting you?**

D4H allows me to be in constant contact with the Halifax Search and Rescue Team. It allows me to respond to search calls immediately and provides updates on all essential search info

**Official Response from Amy Brennan:**

> Thank you for the feedback! Great to hear the software has helped with your SAR team coordination.

  ### 47. Great system for teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John L. | Support Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2021

**What do you like best about D4H?**

The system allows us to track times for members on deployment, in training, and doing meetings. I love that I can, with one click, email my team with updates and messages. We can track certifications and availability.

**What do you dislike about D4H?**

It did take some time to get used to where to look for some items.

**What problems is D4H solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to track all our responses in one place and keep our records secure. We can also store our documents like bylaws.

**Official Response from Amy Brennan:**

> Thanks for your review, John!

  ### 48. D4H Review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sean M. | Powerline Technician, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2021

**What do you like best about D4H?**

The computer version with the big whiteboard is really easy to see almost everything you need at a glance.

**What do you dislike about D4H?**

The app seems to be harder to find the same items.

**What problems is D4H solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick glance to get response and resources

**Official Response from Amy Brennan:**

> Thank you, Sean!

  ### 49. It has helped us organize 7 teams under 1 location

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James D. | Computer Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2021

**What do you like best about D4H?**

You can keep all the different team members separate to track incidents and training as well as equipment by district.

**What do you dislike about D4H?**

Our system is unique and built to our use and needs. It can be difficult to see certain information about equipment without having to go look for it. But they are willing to fix issues as we go.
When equipment is used at an incident we don't see the quantity number subtracting from the inventory on the truck in real time.

**Recommendations to others considering D4H:**

Great to work with.

**What problems is D4H solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Just tracking personnel issues and equipment. We are unique as stated above and have 6 different teams under one organization that need to be tracked. Being able to see everything under one site

**Official Response from Amy Brennan:**

> Thanks for your review, James! Great to hear D4H has helped bring oversight to your equipment and personnel across multiple teams.

Your equipment items should subtract from your inventory as soon as they have been saved on the activity report. Perhaps the reports are being left open? Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any trouble!

  ### 50. D4H special team use for regional hazmat response

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Safety | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2021

**What do you like best about D4H?**

Very intuitive to use. Excellent user interface.

**What do you dislike about D4H?**

Reporting function could use more options.

**What problems is D4H solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Equipment usage, employee hours and incident tracking

**Official Response from Amy Brennan:**

> Thank you for the feedback! Faster and more customizable reports are a priority for us in 2022.
