Really enjoying the app. In our outdoor contracting business (decking, fencing, landscaping) we use Bolster to estimate, send proposals and keep track of projects. I have set up templates for my team to use and all they need to do is input dimensions. We needed some help to set up, we have a lot of items in our excel spreadsheets, these were not accepted by the application but after the import tool was updated we could upload them and everything added automatically Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Bolster solving and how is that benefiting you? I can run my business remotely because of Bolster. I can see jobs at a glance and also check insights. Bolster makes estimating fast, accurate, and professional. It saves me hours. I’m make more on jobs using templates that don’t miss line items. It’s easier to delete than remember every single item. My numbers on point. I have never dealt with any company that if needing help, but are super busy, once you get a moment to relax (usually after business hours) a custom made “how to” video is already in my email inbox. Ryan has solved 99% of my problems this route. This saves me time from having to schedule when our free time aligns. I have seen a few less than positive reviews and I don’t get it. The pure effort these guys give is enough for me to know my invested money is not going to waste. Do you think you call a support line when needing questions answered? Maybe wait on hold while support is located? Hell no, you speak to an actual person, know them on a first name basis, and have their cell phone number. This is what I need in construction estimating. Just a couple days ago, an update was released. IMO, it was huge, it further simplified a system I got accustomed to streamlining the estimating process yet again to another level. I don’t think this counts as a dislike but I’m a negotiator, it was a little tough to justify the price because I had gone from $0 a month to what it costs now. I could have used an even more scaled down version to get off my feet. On the other hand, the last estimate I sent out would not have been possible with my original method. As a landscaper I used to spend half my evenings chasing numbers and typing up quotes. With Bolster I can price out a yard or patio job in minutes, and the proposals look sharp. Once the estimate’s done it automatically builds out my schedule and material list, so I’m not scrambling with suppliers or crews. Bolster has been a revelation in our custom home business. We love the software for many reasons - it has saved us hours, if not days of time, when estimating, which means we can turn around quotes faster. These speedy quotes, or presentations as Bolster calls them, have aided us in winning more jobs for our business, increasing our revenue by an order of magnitude. The selections features save us and customers so much time in the budgeting phase of our projects, which sets expectations for our clients and allows them to be informed from day 1 of working with them. Our support on the software has also been amazing, our CSM Ryan has been super responsive and helped us from the beginning, not to mention George who has helped build out our account so that we have our own pricing and the pricing of our subcontractors in system as well. A few bugs here and there, but the team is so good and quick at responding to things, they are usually ironed out within the day or by the next day we log on. This has increased our revenue greatly, as we are able to win more jobs at our business and grow. Just this year we have won 3 more custom homes using the platform.
