**What do you like best about Cornerstone Recruiting?**

Looks good and easy to create customised reports.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Recruiting?**

I’ve been working with Cornerstone Recruiting and, unfortunately, the experience has been disappointing.

While the platform looks modern at first glance, the actual usability is far from intuitive. Basic actions often require multiple clicks, and workflows feel unnecessarily complex and time-consuming. Instead of supporting recruiters in their daily work, the system often slows things down. Thats the system is slow, doesn't help either.

The learning curve is steep, and it feels like the tool was designed more with technical users in mind than recruiters. Even after extended use, navigation and logic remain unclear in many areas.

There are also clear limitations in flexibility. Customizing views is almost impossible; workflows, templates, ...  is more restrictive than expected.

Overall, despite its visual appeal, the platform lacks efficiency, intuitiveness, and flexibility. In a market where speed and user experience are critical, this is a significant drawback. 

It's one of the worst ATS I've been working with in whole my career; I would not recommend it to organizations looking for a user-friendly and efficient ATS.

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Recruiting?**

I like the Manage Candidates page where recruiters can use filters to view candidates based off of location, interview stage and even application answers (ex: see all the candidates who replied yes to a certain skill) You can also set up application questions to knock out candidates based off of their response. But you can't customize the email those candidates get or delay that email by even a few minutes which is poor candidate experience

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Recruiting?**

You can't customize the rejection emails for candidates who get automatically rejected on a pre-screening filter, nor can you delay that email by even a few minutes which is poor candidate experience. Their career site capabilities are so limited and the interface for candidates is outdated. You can't build scorecards in the ATS so you can't gather feedback from interviewers within the system like other ATS'. Absolutely no Ai and no plans for it either which makes me believe their not following up with the industry advancements. Customer support is barely existant. New feature releases or enhancements barely happen. Reporting is basically exporting spreadsheets or raw data. ATS can't be used on Mobile devices. etc...

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Recruiting?**

I love the ability it has provided for our institution to move our paper files and job postings online. Cornerstone Recruiting made it easier for applicants to apply and be considered. We used to have paper applications mailed to us constantly now, it is all online. It is easy to manage new hires and where they are within the process. Online onboarding is a huge bonus, and we all receive compliments on how simple it is to complete your onboarding before you even arrive for your first day.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Recruiting?**

Some of the forms are not exaclty like we would want them to be only due to the formatting limits. Otherwise we don't have many complaints about the Cornerstone Recruiting platform.

**What problems is Cornerstone Recruiting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cornerstone has made improvements even from when we first implemented it in 2019. We enjoy every improvement Cornerstone makes. Our business performance has improved and is a lot easy to manage.

The best for us is how easy to configure the selection process are. Also the way we can create our own job site using code to make it unique. We also love how easy it is to merge information from different job portals with Recruiting using API.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Recruiting?**

Database search doesn't work when you are looking for technologies. Also, it's not possible to filter candidates based on the answers to the prescreening questions.

I can hardly see how Cornerstone is solving any of our current problems.

Manager dashboard is very good. 
Manage candidates is continuously improving.
Reporting and Dashboards can be very good and powerful (you have to built them for yourself).
API-Integration is very good.

Every part of the system is overly complex, cumbersome, inflexibile.

**Recommendations to others considering Cornerstone Recruiting:**

Like all companies, I'm sure Cornerstone sold my company on their recruiting capabilities, but there were no recruiting subject matter experts on the team to dive deeply enough to see how the system actually works. Other products are much easier to set up and use, and add more flexibility to communicate with applicants, hiring managers, and the interview team.

**What problems is Cornerstone Recruiting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prior to Cornerstone, recruiting was completed via email / paper. At least with Cornerstone there is more automation and structure to the recruiting process.

If you know the Cornerstone software well, then you should be able to easily figure out how to configure the Recruiting module. It has a lot of surprising options that you can enable. Frequent updates and enhancments.

Majority of new hires are happy with the process the system provides.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Recruiting?**

Difficulty managing re-hires. There is no solid solution for re-hires, which is causing a lot of manual work and duplicated records.

New features are still missing some of the old functionality, which is why we can't deploy those to users.

Having to recreate and reapply the job templates every time a change is needed.

**What problems is Cornerstone Recruiting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cornertone Recruiting works. We have been able to hire through the system for the past few years and most of the requirements are available in this system.

Honestly, it’s hard for me to say what I like most about Cornerstone recruiting as we have experienced continued issues with the platform.

I dislike the continued technological issues we encounter, the poor customer service and the inability for this product to fully support our recruiting process.

We are utilizing cornerstone recruiting solely because it pairs with Cornerstone learning, which we currently utilize as our LMS. There truly are not many benefits to this product. We have encountered countless issues and have the inability for the product to fit our workflow.

Professional support given by consultants to adapt a SaaS software to our environment. Learning and Performance module are mature (all wishing funcionalities available)

Need to improve "HR Administration" experience -> software is very powerful for end user experience

**What problems is Cornerstone Recruiting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The learning module helps us to manage training expiration dates (mandatory by regulations/certification) and to provide e-learning to end users. 

Recruitment processes were not centralised but handled by individual business units via HR business partners. This resulted in varying recruitment standards across the company and inconsistent ways of working. Hiring requests were made via paper and had to be discussed at weekly meetings, with managers having to physically sign papers for recruitment approval. We wanted to simplify and reduce HR administration to help the rest of the business better understand HR processes and to contribute to the overall efficiency of the company.

When you have the first interview for a job position you are nervous, anxiety and with much expected, so the recruitment team need a efficiency program to deliver the best experience to the candidate and this tool give that. I like the idea to connect people with the right companies.

Maybe not all the people feel the confidence to start the first steps of recruitment through software, but for companies it is much more effective.

You can reduce time of looking the best candidate and you can hire wonderful people for the company because you can quickly match the right person to a job position. Therefore now the talent market is so high and the companies need more time and money to select the right person and this software help reduce this efforts.

I like that it is easy to create custom reports from scratch

I don't like that not all fields on the requisition are available in recording, no search fields are available, requisition format cannot be rearranged, no custom requisition or applicant statuses.

**Recommendations to others considering Cornerstone Recruiting:**

All of our requests for enhancements have been denied so far so if you already have a recruiting process in place and are looking into another ATS to help your organization, this isn't it. With that said, there are others that are worse than cornerstone. I think if you are planning to build your recruiting process around the ATS, cornerstone could be a good fit.

cornerstone has helped improve our recruiting since the previous system. We are able to process more applications in a shorter time period.

I like that Cornerstone has a modern UI compared to our older system. There are many preferences and settings that we can customize.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Recruiting?**

Cornerstone is not scalable for large organization who do mass recruiting. A lot of manual workarounds are needed to meet our business requirements, and our requests to build new functionality are denied.

We can have one Talent Management system to follow the employee throughout their lifecycle.

I cannot see many positive things about the system. There is not much that I like about it since it is so labor-intensive and administratively taxing.

The system is not customizable, there are several exhausting administrative tasks you must complete to go through the hiring process.

I like that it's an online recruitment system instead of paper.  That's really the best part about it

It is not intuitive.  It is not user friendly.  If you start a requisition there is no way to save it and go back to it.  If you have to stop in the middle you just lose the whole thing

It's our online job application site.  That's about all we're using it for.

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Recruiting?**

The ability to customize the tools of every module according to the organization, including when the organization is composed by different companies with different business rules. We love the fact that every action done through the portal leaves a record which can be reported, this helps us a lot with the human factor, the adoption.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Recruiting?**

Support it has been a pain in the neck, as long as the platform tools work as it is supposed to, everything is perfect. But once something fails, it is really difficult to get the issue fixed soon. Service level agreements are really long. 
Also, cornerstone current app is really dissapointing we really expect to be able to do more actions through it and not having problems while doing so.

**Recommendations to others considering Cornerstone Recruiting:**

Even though they have already started working on their customer support, we feel miles far away from the experience expected and offered at the selling point. We have also spoken with other companies and agree with this last part.

**What problems is Cornerstone Recruiting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are not really solving any problems with the platform, however, our benefits come from the automatization of talent processes and its control. Cornerstone has helped us to keep on track every process from recruitment to succession matters. 

Recruitment: Requisitions management is much better, however it has made us loose a few candidates with the addition of the flows.
Learning: We strongly believe this is the most complete module which has helped us a lot to keep users on track of their expected training, unfortunately mobility through the app did not work at its best.
Performance: The combination of the goals, competencies and development plans tools are really helping us to obtain the best from our employees as well as to follow up their performance.
Compensation: We finally have been able to automate the salary increase process, we have had a few difficulties on the road but still a good option.
Succession: Great option for us to be able to apply 9 box metodologies and also being able to follow all of the different high potentials or successors.

We also have the connect module, however we have not been able yet to make of this a great success since people keep complaining it should be an app where you keep automatically logged in (as facebook).

Cornerstone has been very configurable to use wording and processes that we have already defined unique to our business. Overall, the system has made our performance reviews and recruiting experience much easier.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Recruiting?**

We have had a very difficult experience with customer service. You will not get a dedicated account rep and will be given many online resources that you must first consult prior to opening a ticket in their service system. However, if you do not also call in to the service center, it's unlikely that anyone will ever address your issue. We elevated our cases to a higher level of management and have still seen response times that are unacceptable to us. For one task, we have been waiting 6 weeks to talk to someone who can help us. For easy issues, you can usually find an answer online, but overall, the service has overshadowed our experience.

Was I going to do this over, I also would not use a single sign on with ADP. This process does eliminate the need for an additional username and password for employees, but it disables many shortcuts in Cornerstone that would really be helpful to use.

The software has created efficiency for our managers and HR staff. We have reduced the amount of Excel spreadsheets we are using to track information. Data entry has been reduced.

How easy it is for Hiring Managers to look through candidates and how easy it is for Recruiters to navigate Manage Candidates to reject/advance candidates through next steps. I love how easy it is to post a position for my recruiters and also browse through Manage Requisitions.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Recruiting?**

You can't customize offer letter templates - fonts, margins, etc. we've started doing our offer letters outside the system because we can't customize them to our company standards and our logo is blurry when we do it through Cornerstone. I have noticed the same jobs being posted regularly for the year and a half ive used the site. But the same jobs never even read my application. It’s so rt of like they just try to populate the listings so it looks busier than it is. Also they semd notifications to look and help others with their resume and i dont like that.

As a job searcher its a good application for customer service jobs. If i ran a business i would love this. It lets people upload photos and videos so you get a decent idea if they will be a good fit

Recent updates in Cornerstone has made candidate profiles look visibly appealing.

Honestly, I do not know where to begin. It is not user friendly. We recruit for multiple public schools and therefore we have external staff review candidates on Cornerstone but it is complex and not simple to use that many of our principals refuse to use it. There are times when automated emails get sent to our candidates even though that is not a feature we selected. Sometimes the drop down menu does not show and therefore we cannot access our candidates. Once you create an application and it is live, you cannot make minor changes, you need to create a new one. Cornerstone just creates unnecessary manual steps for us. Honestly, the list goes on...

We primarily use it as an ATS and performance management across our organization.

Great community and there are a lot of ways to get the information you need to solve a problem.  There are the Communities of Practice, the Office Hours Calls, there are the online search features which will bring up training videos and other things as well.  There is a wealth of information and ways to find what you are looking for on their site.

Job Ad is not as flexible as I would like it to be.  It is not as fluid as the other provider that we had in the past.

Have a complete dialog with all the key players who will be using the system.  Discuss all of the features that you would like to see in the system prior to implementation with your representative.   Think outside the box and ask for things that you want in a system.   Discuss problems you had with your old system and ask how this system can address the situation.
