**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

This software is a little difficult to learn for the new users. It requires set up complex product configurations efficiently. Its pricing may be a bit high for small business.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides insights into sales performance, pricing trends and customer preferences. Its built -in approval process ensure pricing and configurations meet company policies. It automatically created BOM for manufacturing and production.

  ### 2. Feedback for one cloud

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

Its user friendly capabilities and it makes my work easier

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

It’s a bit slow sometimes but works perfectly most of the times

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s making visual configuration of cloud very simple.

  ### 3. Okay configurator but terrible customer service. Web Services API also needs work.

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike V. | Administrator/Developer

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

The configurator is good from a UX experieince. The admin console is ok with searchable sections to find what you are looking for. I like that it has AutoCad output capabilities; however we have not taken it to this extreme yet. Would be valuable if we did.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

Customer Service is TERRIBLE! Typical case closure takes them 5-8 months to close out cases. I logged a case, via helpcenter, with them 8 days ago and have not even heard an initial response from them. We pay software maintenance on their product and are entitled by SLA's for an answer. It was a techincal question about solving a business decision. Our company SME that handles configure one says the same thing and agrees that it takes too long to get support.

That brings me up to the second issue. C1 product documentation is okay for their core product, however the complementing products such as Salesforce Connect and Web services are poorly documented. Documentation is hidden behind an authenticated login and not exposed. It is frustrating when companies are so possessive of their documentation. If google search engines could crawl their documentation, I could search and find related and relative content easier.

Web Services API is too limited. We want ability to do so much more like cloning quotes, reparent and manipulate repetative tasks to make the UX better for the user. The Web Services API has only a handful of methods like GetQuote. This severely limits our capabilities of where we want the UX to go. GraphQL was just released but is in it's infancy and sounds like will take years to mature to where we need it, if ever.

Pricing quotes are based on a discount schedule. We are cost pluys and the quote software does not allow for that. We take cost and divide by divisor to determine sell price.

CSS/UX is terrible. Looks archaic like an old windows application. Come on, a little HTML5 would polish it up nicely. The Developers need to make this appear more modern like a good HTML5 website. Simple aligning of fields, centering of rows would be nice.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our main problem is building complex configurations of an electrical manufactured good. The Configurator built for our products allows users to configure a product with ease.

**Official Response from Carley (Bohnen) Stugelmayer:**

> Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are sorry that our software is not meeting your needs, and our customer success team will be reaching out to you directly to discuss your concerns.

We hope to continue supporting your needs!

  ### 4. Made2Manage (M2M) C1 API integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John P. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2020

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

We worked on an integration project with C1 and Made2Manage (M2M). Our company Schroth Systems connected the M2M ERP to Configure one using the API. Technical support was great and easy to work with

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

Nothing in particular, it seemed easy to use...

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We worked on the integration and it went smoothly. We add new parts from the ERP to C1, and transfer Bill of Materials (BOM) from C1 into M2M ERP.

  ### 5. Developer Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joshua H. | HaasWorx Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2020

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

This is logic based programming. I am a logical person therefore this type of programming makes more sense to me than traditional programming. This is easily one my favorite things about configure one.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

Some things are more complicated to do than they should be. For example when you are writing logic you have to name the input every time you have a different value even though the input is still the same. This makes some logic lines much longer than they need to be and takes alot longer to write.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Configure One was already being used when I started so I can't say how it was before that. From my perspective every product that we sell including parts, pricing, drawings etc.. is inside of our configurator. This is a huge benefit that all this flows out of the configurator to where it needs to for the shop floor. Obviously there is some other stuff going on but the fact that all that information can be stored and used in one place is, in my opinion one of the greatest benefits. This also solves a potential problem that with other product or services you may have to use multiple products or services to do the same thing Configure One does with just one program.

  ### 6. Amazing and flexible configurator

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jon N. | Senior Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

The flexibility of options they offer and the CAD modeling.
We have been able to automate the truck design in our engineering department.
This has allowed us tomore effeciantly use our engineering department.
We can also use the virtualization to assist production with understanding the customers intentions.
Very easy to use and almost overwelming all the options it presents to the user

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

Configurations can take awhile to complete at times.
When the CAD model fails to generate you can't get the configuration to complete.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

This is great software when paired with CREO for the modeling and design aspect of it.
We have considerably cut our quote to build time by months down to days.
The virtualization we implemented has been incredibly beneficial to our production team as well as the customer.
Production can now view the model in 3D without additional software purchases.
The paint department enjoys the ability to rotate the model as the customer signed off. There is little confusion when it comes to the placement of protective spray coating and paint coverage.
You should have a very clear road map for rolling out the product and get all effected departments in the talks from the beginning.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using it from quote to finish. We start with the quote and then build the design. We then create the 3D modeling file and automated the design process all the way to production.
We are now fully automated with our design drawings that we no longer need to open them in the design process saving 68% in the design process.

  ### 7. Easy to use CPQ solution, knowledgeable support team

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deb B. | Sr. Marketing Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

Configure One is easy to use, even at the beginner level. Their out-of-the-box solution includes a lot of functionality that users can take advantage of to personalize their tools. They have a knowledgeable, friendly support staff that is attentive and helpful.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

If you are an advanced admin user, it would be nice to have the option to manually enter your own code for logic related programming, rather than having to use the step by step drop down fields to select inputs, operations, values, etc.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

Configure One offers a good CPQ solution that is easy to use for less technical savvy individuals without a background in coding, and their support team is attentive and responsive.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our business is built around configurable product and our product configurators were originally built in Flash. Configure One offers more capability and advanced functionality that helps our end users get the information they need quickly, on desktop and mobile platforms.

  ### 8. Good software but was surprised by some of the ecommerce difficulties.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dan M. | Engineering Manager/New Product Development, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2020

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

We were able to use our existing 3D model site. The cost of integration was low and it took less than two weeks. That's fast.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

The SAP integration was not as smooth because of weak technical support on the network side.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

It's good software. It's a complete solution. Ask deep questions about what is included in each feature set.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are revolutionizing our business. We are an old company with well established products but it's time to let customers configure their product and purchase it. With Configure One we are building an intuitive experience with all the sales and technical information on the page. If you have a question about the selection, just press the question mark. It's that easy. You can always call us but with Configure One, you can probably do it yourself right now in a couple minutes. No more waiting a day or two to get a quote or holding for 15 minutes to talk to an engineer. Configure One makes it possible.

  ### 9. Service, support and ability to setup complex configs great

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Chemicals | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

Ability to set up complex configurations

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

Catalog price does not align with quote price for non-configuration items (standard items), for example volume based discounts are not calculated so the price calculated in the catalog is different than the price in the quote application. This is because the quote is associated with a customer whereas the catalog could be for any customer. It is very confusing to the user who is a Distributor/Partner, they just want to see the correct price. The configuration products visibility can be secured; however, standard items cannot be hidden (for example, availablility between diffrent regions or markets).

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allows customers to configure and customize the product based on their need, reduces inside sales workload for customized product. Has interface for specials when additional features or customizations are reqeusted, this serves a a nice workflow/task list that can be monitored. Allows for volume discount, ability to have multiple price books and many other pricing/discount options included a workflow if needed.. Ability to conditionally include documents and drawing based on the input selections. Products available for configuration can be secured (hidden) based on group. Can integrate with Salesforce.

  ### 10. Personalized approach with a great format.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert S. | CPQ Sales Business Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2020

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

Configure One is simple and straight forward but has the versatility to make a robust CPQ platform and a valuable sales and quoting tool. The ease of implementation, as well as the continued support, makes all the difference. It's worth mentioning that the training administrators will receive is worth the money for the hands-on and comprehensive experience that the administrators will get.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

The service tends to be pricy, but really you are paying for very good customer service. On average the consultants, billable hours are fair, but it is excessive to expect customers to pay for a mear 10-minute conference call.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

Have Configure One do a demo and create a statement of work for implementation. The staff will take great care to meet your companies needs and try to find the right solution to your needs.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Configure One is helping us reach our customers in ways we haven't been able to in the past. Our customers have given us great feedback on what we are doing and our future plans for Configure One. It also has allowed us to have more visibility on our quotes and integrates with our CRM to track quotes and leads on jobs that we would otherwise have no visibility on.

  ### 11. Solid Product and Consulting

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dylan G. | Project Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2021

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

Working with the Configure One implementation team was a great experience. Our Configure One project manager helped guide us to solutions while showing us how to solve problems on our own.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

Configure One is extremely flexible however our business did require some customizations, which can be rather expensive depending on the scope. Overall, the system accommodated 95% of our needs out of the box.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our organization used Configure One to create quotes and an integrated BOM to NetSuite. We have experienced quality and efficiency improvements with our Work Orders, Inventory Management, and Quoting.

  ### 12. A Highly Customizable Quote Solution

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeff J. | Netsuite/ System Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

I appreciate the depth of customization available. My predecessor created a highly customized iteration of this quote solution which accomplishes our extensive and dynamic product quoting needs, we have multiple salespeople with different access level that are able to create customized product quotes in a quick manner with minimal clicks due to behind the scenes logic. This information then feeds back into our CRM NetSuite and helps build a Sales Order from an Opportunity when the customer is ready to move forward with the proposal sent.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

Due to the high level of customization that was implemented the learning can be difficult, and backend compartments only connect on a high level looking down, for example, if you're looking at a full quote template, it is fairly easy to locate areas inside this template, but if you know the specific area inside, but not the overall template, it can be difficult to locate.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

ConfigureOne can accomplish a variety of needs but depending on the complexity of your product the setup and administration may increase in difficulty. Highly customizable can often lead to a steep learning curve and I believe C1 falls victim to this difficult to avoid situation unfortunately.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using ConfigureOne to accomplish our dynamic quoting needs which includes Monthly Recurring Cost which is difficult for many quote tools to handle. We have realized the benefits in these aspects through use. It has a high level of customizability that makes it very flexible for a large amount of uses in the future.

  ### 13. 4 Years of ConfigureOne

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2019

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

We went from a custom in-house design software to ConfigureOne's professionally supported software. It was a huge improvement in efficiency, features, and updates to current technology.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

Setup was challenging and required more customization than we had expected. We had an internal team with skills in graphics, programming, and databases which were essential to getting the most out of ConfigureOne. It is not 'out of the box' software but we found the effort worthwhile to get it running.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

ConfigureOne is a powerful program that helps customers visualize our product. The setup is challenging, but ConfigureOne's consultants and trainers will work with you.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our previous in-house software required desktop installation by users and was difficult to maintain and keep current. ConfigureOne is web-based and much easier for our users to access.

  ### 14. Configure One review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Larry R. | Sr. Project Manager

**Reviewed Date:** December 15, 2020

  ### 15. Outstanding team and customer focus

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

The team at Configure One is outstanding, and they have a great focus on the customer's needs. Over the last few years, you can notice that they have taken the voice of the customer seriously, by constant engagement which eventually is funneled into their future product roadmap vision. With this direction, the Configure One team, as well as the software - is always aligning itself to the fast-changing technology trends.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

The platform or technology itself may still be a little premature in terms of globalization and international market demands. Things such as currency, translation, locales, and market adaptations need to be enhanced.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are trying to be more efficient with CPQ, allowing both customers and employees to be empowered with a efficient and error-proof workflows.

  ### 16. C1 has done a great job serving our needs in a timely manner!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

C1 is much more user-friendly compared to our current configurator. It is also much more flexible.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

We had to customize it to meet our company's needs, but I would imagine most companies would need some amount of customization.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

Configure One is a powerful tool to meet your business needs. Some customization will probably be needed it, but in the end it will be worth it.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

C1 is significantly decreasing the amount of time it takes for users to submit an order to our company. The process is more efficient and increases customer satisfaction.

  ### 17. Configure 1 changing how we do business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert S. | Design Certifying Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2020

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

The ability to drive consistency throughout our entire process. From the configuration stage to the quote stage to everything driving it through the shop and out the doors. It has helped reduce errors.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

There seems to be minimal ways to integrate it with tools that we currently have driving our production through the shops. If we could have access to the database that stores the information and be able to pull it out, that would help drive our process more seamlessly. Additionally there isn't a way to project or predict revenue or to calculate it on the back end from previous sales. There are some tools that get you started in that direction but it would be nice if they would finish those tools out and get them across the finish line. That would really complete the entire package in my opinion.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

Make sure you know that it will take time to get to the final product that you want it to look like and that it will be an iterative process. There will be a release that has bugs and needs to be fixed, but the staff at Configure 1 is extremely helpful and they are able to work with you to the level of detail that you require.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This has helped eliminate errors in our configuring process and driven us to a common creation point for both quotes and work orders going through the shop. It has eliminated a large part of the human component which can introduce unnecessary errors into the process. It has helped us become more seamless and consistent in our quoting, sales, and production.

  ### 18. We're right, every time, thanks to Configure One

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephan C. | Media / Resources Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2020

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

Configure One enables us to confidently bid complex systems knowing our orders will ship accurately, every time.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

At this time, we have not experienced any major hiccups or dislikes.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

Dedicate an employee full time to develop and maintain

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With an accurate bidding process, Configure One has saved our company hours and dollars fixing inaccuracies that could occur.

  ### 19. Configure One @ SchuF parametric design

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Manfred S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2020

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

+ Full system including item table, customer management, sales details
+ Full functionality from internet interface to CAD model manipulation
+ Attribute table system allows to define lots of fix standard values and it is easy to import from Excel
+ Wide equation functionality allows complex calculation within a product environment
+ Logic items allows a lot of logical product definitions
+ CAD interface (Solidworks) is easy to use and allows lots of combinations (Input values, equations, attributes ...)

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

- missing possibility for description of equations (no text field)
- no manual handling of BOM position number in accordance to corresponding drawing

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We try to realize true parametric design. The design shall automatically follow customer inputs without additional designer work in the background

  ### 20. Great CPQ software, incredibly wonderful support team.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Building Materials | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

Configure One's support team is quick to get on a call whenever we have questions or concerns we want to discuss and explore. We are continually learning about the tool and able to implement changes knowing we can reach out regarding any technical issues or challenges we are trying to design around.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

It would be helpful to upload excel sheets for certain design features like driven inputs but it is possible to create workarounds using other design features such as attribute tables.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are streamlining our quoting process and making quotes more accessible to our customers as well as our internal colleagues, making it more efficient to find and share information on projects.

  ### 21. Configure 1 Admin/Design/Test engineer for 6yrs.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Furniture | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2020

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

Configure One's Support and Development teams are top notch. they are not afraid to take an idea and run with it or figure out what's needed to just make it work. Ease of UI development and design along with the repeatability and reliability of outcome in the quoting process makes Configure One a must have tool for small and big businesses who are configuring or designing product on as per customer need basis.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

Out of box C1 is impressive and powerful for the 99% use case. The only drawback to C1 is there are features that are really good to have but are in their upgraded package for API access. While not needed all the time, having access to the lower API's allows even future customization than just the out of the box.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

I've done full up implementations from ground up with Configure One acting as support and Configure One Turn Key design and implementations. Both were good experiences and the C1 Team during the Turn Key was amazing to work with. Their knowledge and expertise in the tool allowed us to do everything we needed and wanted wit the tool. Highly recommend turn key if your on a tight timeline for go live!

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Stability in Quoting -Consistency
Stability in Assembly Item Creation and BOM layout - Automating the BOM, it's work steps/workflow, and manufacturing routings that push into NetSuite as new assemblies removes the human element to part creation within NetSuite and thus removes errors.

  ### 22. More than meets the eye

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Glass, Ceramics & Concrete | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

Configure One's support team is easily one of its best qualities. From pre-implementation to our third version of our use of C1, we've had steady support in learning what the program does, what it can do, what's available to us, and how to think outside of the box to get results above our expectations.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

Some of the deeper, more involved functionality requires some programming knowledge (JavaScript), but C1 is willing to teach and support even those deep-level functions. The nice thing is that there are ways to get what you need via JavaScript or CSS even if the program doesn't offer it out of the box, but that tech knowledge can be a barrier of entry for some people.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

If you plan ahead and have clearly defined goals and methods, your implementation will go smoothly. If you build functionality that allows flexibility when those goals change, C1 will be used for a long time.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our use of Configure One started with using it as a simple drawing/configuration tool. We're almost three years in and it's moved to the forefront of our internal processes, including handling some of the tasks we were doing in our ERP. We feel like there's even more that we can tap into, so we're looking forward to letting C1 handle more and more of our functions. As-is, though, we've improved accuracy, data entry efficiency, and visibility of both our orders and the employees driving them.

  ### 23. Fantastic service and CPQ Software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Maritime | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2020

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

The look and service Configure One provide is second to none. The team over here in the UK are extreamly helpful and always on hand if i need it. The training provided was fantastic. The CPD software is fantastic and easy to use. I have managed to build our quoting tool with little knowledge of IT and Java script & HTML. We also use Configure One to calculate a distance needed between two vessels taking in to account al sorts of calculations, based on different heights, speeds, wave height and lots of other things. Configure one with limited knowledge of what we were trying to do pulled it our of the bag and they really did put a lot of effort in to helping us get this completed. It was extreamly complicated and we are all very impressed with the knowledge and skill from the team.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

There are a few small things which have not been possible for us to do on it but the team always have a good work around for it.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The benefits of using this software are brilliant. We used to pull part number off an excel spread sheet which obvioulsly left a lot open to human error. The part numbers were sometimes wrong and it would cause so much hassel and grief getting ot correct. With out Configure One software we know for sure that the part numbers are correct.

  ### 24. Great software for CPQ and changing a business from the front end.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam L. | Systems Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

They have a great support function and helpdesk

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

The software can have a steep learning curve to understand

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

Yes, make sure you have skills in house with html and css

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CPQ, we are realising the issues within the business about items that are not costed accurately and we may be losing margin through our previous poor management of the sales order process

  ### 25. Good, User acceptance is key

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

The ability to control inputs with logic

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

restrictions on page calculations (math)

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

Implement standardizations BEFORE beginning implementation of a configurator of any kind. The program is not only a sales tool it is a COMPANY tool, this needs to be understood by all departments before beginning.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accuracy of quoting, we have many rules/ tribal knowledge that need to be controlled and defaulted correctly, we are also solving speed in which C1 outputs Values for our engineering department to utilize and create baseline models that NEVER pull in outdated/previously corrected errors

  ### 26. Great product and customer service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Events Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2020

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

The platform is very robust and we are able to build a complex process that will give us the flexibility for a custom fabrication company.
Our project management team has been outstanding and very helpful. They have been available at quick requests and always helpful and pleasant to work with.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

It is so robust that it can be a bit much to learn to navigate to all of the abilities.
But that is a problem that is easy to deal with. We have so much flexibility with the platform that we feel it will greatly enhance our companies efficiency and accuracy.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

For an estimating and BOM management tool this product has great bandwidth for customization.
We are a completely custom fabrication company and the demand is high to have complex configurations for the breath of our product quoting.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automating our quoting process and enabling online ordering.
Integration with inventor is a major plus. We use the integration to build production documentation as well as CAD drawings for approvals from our clients to production in the shop

  ### 27. Configuring and Quoting Pros

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richard B. | Business Systems Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2020

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

Configure One has always been very easy to use for our team. They have worked with us to customize the platform to suit our needs. When we have had issues they have always been very responsive as well. Being on their newest platform is also giving us the opportunity to take advantage of some of their connectors. We are starting with a connection to Salesforce and then will be connecting to our ERP system shortly after.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

We actually just upgraded to their newest platform and have not had many issues with it since the upgrade. It is much more modern than what we were on before and works with mobile devices, two of our biggest complaints before the upgrade. One thing that is a little difficult is that we are one of the first few customers that are using the Salesforce integration, so the process has been a little bumpy. We knew going into this that we would be working with them to make this solution better, so not really a complaint, just a warning to anyone else thinking about this as a solution over the next few months.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

Know what you are looking for upfront and come to the meetings as prepared as possible. Like I said before they are great to work wit, but if you go in to the initial meeting not knowing what you are looking for it won't matter what vendor you choose, your project will not be successful.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using the Configure One platform for Configuring, Pricing, and Quoting our instrument management solutions for our end customers. We are hoping to use it for more now that we are on the new platform and connecting it to our CRM.

  ### 28. Best CPQ Software and AMAZING Customer Service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2020

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

The customer service is the best I've ever experienced. Communication is open and response times are quick.
The software itself is able to accommodate all sorts of scenarios and creating logic rules is quick and easy. A lot of control is given to the customer to customize the software and interface to reflect needs and company branding.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

There is about a medium level of a learning curve with some aspects but once mastered setting up products is easy.
The native currency is defaulted to the country the software is purchased in. For companies with products produced in several countries the currency conversions can pose an issue.
There is zero ability to customize the Latest News section on the homescreen. It would be nice to be able to utilize simple HTML to organize how the information entered in the section is displayed. Currently, any text is displayed as one single paragraph.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With all the different available options, our product could have over 1 million possible combinations (minus logic rules). Obviously no company can have instant quotes for 1 million possible products. This tool has allowed us to capture 90% of possible product requests by customers. We can quote most products instantly and have a significantly faster turn around for quoting very specific customization requests because our quoting team isn't bogged down quoting standard product options.

We can generate technical drawings on the fly. Customers no longer have to wait for the design team to render 2D drawings for our products.

**Official Response from Mick McDonnell:**

> Thank you very much for taking the time to leave a review! We're thrilled that our efforts at unparalleled customer service are being noticed!

Regarding the ability to customize the Latest News section, there are a number of things that you can do to achieve what you describe. We'd be more than happy to show you how, or to do it for you - please reach out to me (mmcdonnell@configureone.com) or your Configure One support team and we'll gladly show you the way!

  ### 29. Configure One provided a solution to complex configuration needs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Building Materials | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2020

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

Configure One allows us to manage complex configuration requirements that are far beyond the functionality of our ERP system. This allows for Customer Service Representatives to configure custom products on the fly and price them out real time.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

As with any complex configurations there are a lot of details that are required to setup and configure the configuration. However, this is the nature of the beast and why Configure One is needed.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

Configure One solves a complex problem. This means that a resource on your team will need to take the time to configure the solution correctly. Attention to the detail of the setup will ensure that the solution provides accurate configuration to your users.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Customers have unique needs on an order-by-order basis. This means that each order requires configuration of products. After configuring the requirements, Configure One does not only provide pricing, but it also provides a Bill of Material that can be used in our manufacturing process.

  ### 30. To date C1 has met or exceeded my expectations.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2020

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

Our first experience with C1 was a test of sorts. We wanted to see if we could capture a complicated ETO design process as part of the C1 configuration process. We were successful. Once the rules are captured it made a complicated procedure that used to require Engineering support, very easy for anybody to use.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

We are a multi division organization. I think C1 was tailored to the needs of a single entity and is in the process of expanding their capabilities...however they are not quite there yet in some regards.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

Good people to work with.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our products vary in complexity...from simple selection of options based on previous selections, to ETO processes involving complicated math. For the products that we have captured we have removed the need for support personnel to assist the Users with their selections.

  ### 31. This is a robust system, that once you are familiar with it, can be quite powerful

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Building Materials | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2020

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

I like the fact that you are able to create different products for your specific needs from the ground up. This gives you complete flexibility on how you can build what you need to better serve your clients.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

When I need to add an input for a RT2D to look at i have to go into each RTT2D drawing maintenance and add that input for each drawing. I think it would be beneficial to have the ability to upload a new input into multiple RT2D drawings at once.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

Attention to Detail. YOu have the possibilities to create complex systems, but make sure you dont forget about the little details along the way.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have created multiple products so that we are able to order the different types of shower door enclosures that we have through the configurator.

  ### 32. Received thorough training from the Configure One team last May; we have since launched the program

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2020

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

Customizing CO to our specific needs and scope with the help of the CO team, allowing us to learn the system and configure the system over the course of several days, and the design/interface of the software.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

Everyone seemed very well-prepared and professional; no complaints as of this review.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

Seek on-site training as opposed to over the phone or via online communication; the ability to learn the system and then program for yourself provides invaluable experience.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to allow our customers to more efficiently configure product without the presence of salesmen has been very beneficial to our sales and quoting teams, in addition to our engineering team (myself included) so that the design engineer receives all of the necessary information without any translation necessary. . While we look to scale this project to several other product lines in the future, this frees up resources to be more dedicated to the other lines.

  ### 33. Configure One Review - CPQ Tool / Recommended

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Camilo R. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

Very easy to use and expand. For both programmers and none programmers, the platform is easy to learn and provides a flexible path to create CPQ products.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

With certain exceptions for complex quoting systems and multiple currencies, the tool may have limitations for large organizations. With additional customizations, these obstacles can be attenuated.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

Delegate people willing to learn and work on a daily basis on Configure One. Like many other software tools in the market, consistent use and expertise improve the experience and therefore the quality of the product.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Configure is helping us to simplify and optimize the quoting and order process. This tool has allowed us to redefine the way quotes and orders are handled from a manual procedure to a reliable straight process.

  ### 34. Enterprise CPQ your way!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Evan O. | Director of Product Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2020

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

The capabilities of ConfigureOne are just off the charts. The level of automation and support for third-party tools checked all our boxes from Salesforce, CAD (SolidWorks) and ERP (Made2Manage). In addition, if you can envision a workflow and output to increase efficiency the team at ConfigureOne can make it happen. We absolutely love the PDF quote template ConfigureOne implemented for us, it completely takes our branding to the next level.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

There's not much to dislike, however, there are inconsistencies in how the interface works. A three-step (click) process in one-area of the platform may work differently in another area although similar in nature. I understand a new version of the Admin interface is coming to correct these minor areas though.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Primarily quote automation. What used to take 4-5 hours can now be completed in 45-60 minutes all while increasing the consistency and quality of output. Hands-down it has revolutionized how quickly we can react to a customer request.

  ### 35. Very good experience with Configure One

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fredrik N. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2020

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

Fast and professional help. No question is stupid and there is always a good solution.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

Can't really find anything to dislike. Maybe nothing against Configure One really, but there have been some challenges with updating concept versions and apache web server.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basic functionality questions. Also customization of Concept, specifically for the business.

  ### 36. Over 1 year using Configure One

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2020

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

The user friendly interface, and the ability to create a wide variety of products.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

The lack of standard programming capabilities and customisation

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

Have a trial before using, but also use pre-made Configurations to see its capabilities.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to remove as much human error as needed, having certain fields with required values e.g. only numerical, stopping people from Configuring incorrect Product specifications

  ### 37. Configure One is helping us to have a smoother and accurate Quote to Order flow

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah G. | Product Manager IT Sales Systems, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2020

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

The appearance of the output has improved and the ability to have security around what a User can/cannot do

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

How inflexible it is for a trained Admin to create Custom Fields anywhere other than Inputs outside of CCA.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

The C1 UK Team are good to work with and take their time to have a full understanding of your needs.

They may not have the exact solution you are looking for, but will work hard to supply a solution that will work.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In our old system, Users were able to change descriptions which meant we could be shipping what the Customer did not realise they ordered.

With the integration to IFS CRM, we now have more visibility of a Sales Forecast as users have to create an Opportunity before they can create a Quote.

With the on-line solution, if you update the system it is global and you do not have to update User by User.

We are now developing the Quote to Order process through to our ERP system which will alleviate Order Entry mistakes.

  ### 38. Continuous improvement

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nathan B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2020

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

Salesforce connections (with additional customization's) allow us to report effectively on quote data.
Other competitors licence their software on a per user licence fee. With configure-one you aren't locking yourself into an ever growing expense.
Customizations that have been built to make the software to meet our unique needs.
Configure-One continues to improve their software. Over the years the stability and reliability of their software has always been improving.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

It can be difficult to manage customized software. When we add new features or upgrade to the latest software we often run into issues (which Configure-One promptly resolves)
More optimized ability to add salable items without having to make so many mouse clicks.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

Keep it simple to start. Try to use the base software the best you can. Use customization only where they achieve significant time savings.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability to narrow down products that have many attributes.
Mass upload quotes from spreadsheets (customization)
Build large configured products into a single sku.
Provide documents and other data fields on quotes.

  ### 39. Transforming and streamlining our processes with Configure One

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christopher S. | Directeur, Développement des affaires , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2020

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

Configure One is flexible to the point that it allows us to design our own solutions for our specific industry and customer base. We have encountered very few situations where the system was unable to accommodate our needs.
We also love that the system is capable of more than we are currently using, allowing us to plan for a path to grow the system in the future.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

There is an incredible amount of detail accounted for in the system and it can be a little overwhelming for a new user. However I should mention that the training modules are helpful in overcoming this.
It is not the least expensive option on the market either, but we feel we are getting value for our spend.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Internally it is helping to increase productivity by automating many redundant manual tasks. It is also significantly reducing the opportunity for errors when quoting - this is especially important with our products as they are so complex. The system has dramatically reduced the time required to generate complete and accurate proposals.

On the sales side Configure One has helped us rethink certain aspects of our business model and allowed us to put "guard rails" in place to help standardize our sales funnel.

  ### 40. Tranforming How We Quote Our Product

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan R. | Application Support Technician, Medical Devices, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2020

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

The best part of the Configure One product is the ability to tie everything to logic and rules. It allows us to be confident that our product is being quoted properly and not missing critical components. It also allows us to provide a visual element to our users while quoting our product which has been a big help with newer users that do not quite understand the product yet. Configure One's customer service is also great. They are always very responsive and capable of addressing any questions or concerns we have.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

Early on we decided to purchase and implement a module that turned out to not perform the way we were expecting and it had to get scrapped. I think there was a lack of understanding of what exactly we were trying to do within this feature from the sales rep. and we were mislead by the functionality the module was providing.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

Make sure you take full advantage of the training they provide and make sure you ask plenty of questions and make sure you send the right people to training.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Configure One helped us solve our biggest problem of missing critical components or incorrect components. Our previous system didn't really have logic built into it and as such our users missed quoting important components frequently which led to incomplete product builds and multiple shipments to get missed components to the customer costing us time and money. Since making the transition to Configure One we have see this drop drastically with our final product builds being done correctly the first time and not missing any components needed. We have also noticed that the visual tools we have implemented within the system have been working as a teaching tool for new users to understand our product. New sales people don't always get trained immediately on all of our products but they can get in and utilize our configurations to see what can and cannot be done giving them a better understanding of our product.

  ### 41. Lot's of possibilities But....

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christopher E. | Business Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2020

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

The logic functionality allows for a vast array of possibilities. As a business analyst, the ability to run queries against the configure one database to find various information is a big plus. The system looks good and there are many possibilities that we can use the system for.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

The UI seems overly complex with a lot of menu items which aren't always clear. Some things require a significant amount of configuration for a minor outcome. We also have had to come up with various work arounds or solutions to different problems that do not come as standard with configure one. Many of these are problems that we felt are likely common practice for companies.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

It will likely be more work than you're expecting and will ideally need 1 or 2 people full time to dedicate to the implementation. Utilise the help desk as the support team are very quick to respond and in most cases resolve the issue very quickly. The team are friendly and eager to help. Ideally the person implementing will have experience with HTML as this is something I found to be difficult to work on self sufficiently.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are looking to optimise and simplify the quoting process within our company as well as ensure consistency across the business. As a company that has many offices around the world with various different systems and quoting procedures, we wanted to streamline this and bring everyone onto the same page.

  ### 42. There's nothing that Configure 1 can't cofigure!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andy D. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2020

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

Tons of functionality, there is always a way to achieve the configuration rules or objective that you're trying to achieve without the need to customize the software. Sometimes there are several ways of achieving the same result - each way with its own pros / cons. Almost everything else in Configure 1 follows a similar process to achieve the result, making it very easy to learn the interface.

We have implemented using the SaaS model, and haven't had a single interruption to our live (or development) databases.

The online help desk system has also been very effective. It is a modern interface with a community forum type of feel. The knowledge base is extensive, and it's very easy to enter a few keywords and find out more about what you're searching for.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

There are no "out of the box" reports to start with. All reports have to be created from scratch, and it doesn't follow the same "themes" found in the rest of the software solution.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

Look no further than Configure 1

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Configure 1 has put a more powerful sales tool in our hands, allowing our sales representative to better represent our product, while allowing management to decide what the "rules" of the product are.

  ### 43. New Customer

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rob F. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2020

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

We are about 50% of the way through our implementation, and the support team has proven knowledgeable and responsive. Configure One is an incredibly capable CPQ platform. It has addressed all of our needs from a configuration logic, pricing and output documentation standpoint standpoint.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

The online help tools are sometimes too shallow in helping answer questions about how to accomplish something. It would be helpful if these pages showed detailed examples of the steps involved in performing some element of a configuration. Another suggestion is to include the required menu selections at the top of the help topic. I find myself reading a help article and then having to search menu by menu for the item through the Admin menus.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Configure One provides the basis of our customer interaction platform. It gives our partner customers access to configure, price and launch an order for a complete elevator system. This automation of the sales process is key to reaching many customers, in the most efficient manner possible, and we see it as a key differentiation for our business.

  ### 44. Great Product for Our Customers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris M. | Senior Creative Designer, Digital/UX, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2020

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

Flexibility it allows our customers to have when using our tool. we can incorporate our own branding, look and feel. They are able to access specific products that require our audience to spec out projects in a timely manner and all online. Very flexible with API's we may want to consider using in the future, such as a CRM or Augmented reality.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

Trouble with customizing login screen, and other areas related to mobile devices. Need to know some coding and programing to help assist in launching on time. The mobile enhancement is a different tier in pricing I think as well, so not having that as part of every plan was a concern for our audience. It also took a little bit of time to launch due to all the customizations we wanted to complete so we had specific branding. We did not have a big team working on it, so we had to rely on support and just gaining knowledge for ourselves to implement the product out to our customers.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

Make sure you can have a consultant to help roll out and make it a success. Pick the team who you have confidence in and knowledge about the products and services you want to spec. Maybe send a team to a seminar, event, or training to really get close access to see how robust configure one can be and help.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

You can generate precise, optimal system configurations. choose the product category you want to configure, enter required fields specific to your application, and let it handle the configuration results.

  ### 45. The real deal.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Glass, Ceramics & Concrete | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2020

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

There are no up sells with C1. There are no hidden costs. The software is really flexible and great at adapting to your manufacturing needs. I was also impressed with their team of professionals. Everyone is extremely knowledgeable and does what ever it takes to obtain your visions or find a solution to help advance your company. There is a great level of organization shown C1 and their trouble ticket system is great and keeps everyone on task during any issue or customization.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

That they are not more advanced in the ERP side of things. They are not really an ERP company but if they were, it would be an amazing solution for a lot of manufacturers.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving the problem of growth. We use C1 to help streamline processes, eliminate human error, reduce labor costs, and implementing more modern solutions to be able to capture more business.

  ### 46. Like having an army of Applications Engineers...

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jon R. | Technical Sales Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2020

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

Providing rules-based product configuration interfaces to our channel partners and customers allows us to provide a quick and intuitive means of getting familiar with our products, eliminates countless errors during the quotation process, and streamlines the order review process.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

Configuration interfaces are designed to 'roll-up' all associated sub-components into a top-level BOM. If your business requires that some items be listed as line items, you may have to identify some work-arounds to this constraint.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

Whether developing internally, or hiring an outside group (such as Configure One) to develop, assemble a knowledgeable internal team prior to beginning your implementation. Set clear goals for the implementation to avoid "scope creep."

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

See "What do you like best?" above.

  ### 47. Great people, great company.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joe L. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2020

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

I really like the people I have had the pleasure of meeting at Configure One. They are *very* good at what they do, experts at finding solutions, and very friendly to boot.
And the Configure One configurator has made a major impact at our company - it has changed the way we run an entire division, and continues to do so.
I also like the business model as a whole, which follows the feed a man a fish/teach a man to fish concept. It is unique that they offer training to users which allows them to do things (very complicated things) on their own rather than force them to remain dependent on Configure One. Conversely, one can choose to hire Configure One to do the work for them. It is a very flexible model and one that works well for us.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

There is little for me to dislike. Even when I find I need some functionality their software does not offer, they can often find a way to make it happen by writing custom programs for our implementation.
My biggest complaint would be lack of documentation or help interface within the software. I find myself asking "where was that setting again?" fairly often. The notes I took during training are my main go-to to answer that question.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

If you are looking for web-based design automation, Configure One has the software and support to help you do it.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automating user-design custom equipment drawings and renderings. This has freed up resources from doing daily "grinding" work to focus on projects that require greater attention. We are now in the midst of our 2nd implementation of this and anticipate further freeing of resources.
Additionally, our industry is requiring our drawings and renderings at a faster and faster pace. Automating this process is allowing us to keep pace, and oftentimes actually set the pace for the project turnaround times.

  ### 48. Strong Product, Great Customer Support

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

Everything on their platform is configurable, so as an Admin I have a lot of power to make lots of adjustments to what the users can see and do on the platform. They have provided a free or easy fix for almost every issue that I have brought to their attention. I also like their ticketing system, it's helped me ensure that their are no open action items on my side.

They have also been totally flexible with us adjusting the deadlines of projects, and they have worked to make the transition from an old version to a newer version very easy.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

I think that some of the logic for different aspects of the platform is unique to Configure One, so it's not always 100% intuitive to find the solution myself. But any time I find an issue, Configure One is generally able to resolve it pretty quickly.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am excited for their products to mature a little bit more.

  ### 49. This configurator is helping to shape the future of our company

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

We have many different styles of machines and accessories. It is very complicated and it usually takes a new salesman a long time to understand what machine works best for each application. We used the Configure One configurator to help us develop rules around what machine types work for each application. The sales person answers the questions in the configurator and then the configurator tells them which machine works best. The configurator also generates a quote and compiles all the extra documents needed to fulfill the order.

It is easy to program inside Configure One. We have developed a very complex configurator in less than a year. The team at Configure One has been very helpful through the whole process.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

We wanted to add dynamic pricing inside the configurator under another question. I could not find a way to do this.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

We liked C1 because it integrated with Solidworks. We are currently using the Solidworks add in.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are trying to develop processes that will help the salesmen sell the right machine for the right application and sell more "standard" machines. We are trying to make it easier to on-board new salespeople.

We are developing standards for the salespeople. We are developing an easier way to generate a quote. The configurator has helped on-board new salespeople.

  ### 50. Very good system, some limitations

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ethan B. | Senior IT Technician, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

I like the fact it is very easy to learn, and very easy to quickly build something of use. The pricing methods, and flexibility of the system allow you to achieve no end of results for various configurations.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

Due to the fact it is an out of the box system, it has quite a few limitations. Not being able to calculate deliveries is a massive problem for our business as it adds manual work back in. The cost of having changes made, as well as support is very high, other companies I’ve dealt with will do a lot of small tweaks FOC, or at even up to half the cost of developments I’ve requested from yourselves.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

If you sell a multitude of products with a high level of configurability, this is the system for you. If you would like to reduce your workload on your sales & engineering teams, again, this is the system for you!

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have found that we can accurately build BOMs, to achieve accurate product costing, meaning we have much better reporting on our GP%. We have also been able to expand the configurability of our products. Lastly, we’ve been able to allow customers to access our system online, saving time with the internal sales department.
