The implementation was seamless and our first year on the platform went smoothly. **What do you dislike about Compose by Decusoft?** Calculation processing can be a bit slow at times. Additionally, when a calculation kicks off, it recalculates all formula driven fields which impacts system performance and may recalculate fields that have previously been overrided. **What problems is Compose by Decusoft solving and how is that benefiting you?** Compose has helped us automate our compensation process which was previously being executed via spreadsheets. It has allowed us to streamline the data and process and eliminate risk by controlling access to the data with secure user roles. We estimate that Compose will save us 500 hours annually from building and maintaining various spreadsheets. ### 2. We were one of the first clients on version 11, and we found multiple bugs. This is not a long-term issue. I feel once they find and fix the bugs, the experience will be great! **What problems is Compose by Decusoft solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before Compose, we were using excel spreadsheets for comp management. Compose has brought us into the modern age. We have little worry about security for our comp data, and we can manage the process much easier. Additionally, Compose provides a review chain that is easy to operate. We can create custom grids and reports to help business leaders make informed compensation decisions. The flexibility and adaptability is excellent. We have custom grids for each manager, which are simple to create and administer. The reporting is excellent. We will be able to create reports that usually took hours in excel. ### 3. In large organizations, there are often unique needs that SaaS products are unable to meet. That can often mean manual workarounds. The ability to configure a system to do exactly what is needed is a huge advantage for the compensation team. **What do you dislike about Compose by Decusoft?** Nothing. In fact, there was nothing that we asked the COMPOSE team to build into the system that they were unable to do. Further, they were able to accommodate last minute changes and some on-the-fly changes while planning was live. **What problems is Compose by Decusoft solving and how is that benefiting you?** We implemented COMPOSE when we implemented Workday. Workday's compensation planner is configurable to an extent, but it just couldn't accommodate the complexity of our bonus plan. The COMPOSE team came to our rescue two months before compensation planning was due to launch. We were able to have an entirely automated process rather than cope with time-intensive, manual workarounds. ### 4. Their customer service is outstanding. They are there 100% of the time to support us. **What do you dislike about Compose by Decusoft?** We have issues with our data and how we need to use it in Compose. The support team worked with us and gave us tools to be able to clean our data up before importing. **Recommendations to others considering Compose by Decusoft:** If you have incentive payouts with complex calculations Compose by Decusoft is a great application. Compose has given us the ability to run monthly commission cycles, quarterly and semi-annual incentive cycles and multiple annual cycles at the same time. The system is very configurable to meet all of the changing needs. **What problems is Compose by Decusoft solving and how is that benefiting you?** We run multiple cycles (monthly, quarterly, semi-annually and annually) with complex plans. Compose has allowed us to eliminate the excel spreadsheets. In the first fiscal year of operation, we successfully processed payroll for nearly 80 Global Sales Offices. Compose has replaced an expensive and poorly supported legacy system. **What do you dislike about Compose by Decusoft?** Some of the core FTI sales compensation features required to be built out in Compose. Even with some added build costs, we managed to save 178,000 in the first year over the legacy system. **What problems is Compose by Decusoft solving and how is that benefiting you?** With every successful processsing cycle, Compose by Decusoft devliers value to our global business partners. In partnership with Decusoft, we are continously improving the platform features to meet the evolving business needs. ### 6. Along with a merit and LTI platform, we were able to combine our processes for one efficient year-end process. I have used many other platforms in my career, and Compose allowed for deviation within the system without jeopardizing the performance standards. From business requirements to implementation to support during the process, the team was always available to handle any questions or issues if problems existed. The customer service was beyond what other platforms have provided. **What do you dislike about Compose by Decusoft?** While we had standard reports, we would have liked to have the ability to create custom reporting based on company needs. **What problems is Compose by Decusoft solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were able to run our processes concurrently for easy year end processes. ### 8. However, when it created a truly critical issue, our team was all over it, and the problem was solved in a quick manner. **What problems is Compose by Decusoft solving and how is that benefiting you?** Less spreadsheets being emailed around firm. More efficient dissemination of information. Where other platforms could not fit complex plans, Compose was able to find a solution. **What do you dislike about Compose by Decusoft?** There are still some system limitations (as with any platform), so some workarounds may become clunky. It would also be nice to be able to upload recommendations to the system (instead of manually keying in). **What problems is Compose by Decusoft solving and how is that benefiting you?** Compose solved many problems including, but not limited to, security, automation, efficiency, and audit trail. The benefits of having real-time updates for managers and administrators, reporting available at the click of a button, and complete historical records are very helpful. ### 10. It is flexible in meeting the needs of our process. The customer service team (developers) are great. **What do you dislike about Compose by Decusoft?** Because it is so flexible and custom-built, sometimes it is hard to revert or unwind the setup decisions that were made in the past. **What problems is Compose by Decusoft solving and how is that benefiting you?** It gives us a place to run both our promotion and compensation review processes at year-end. It allows us to have the managers that we choose involved in different ways. It has streamlined the budget distribution process for salary review and bonus review. ### 13.
