What do you like best?

I like that there are many customizable features of the site. There is some backend programming that you can do. The online help staff is available to work on any issues you have. There is a mobile app to go along with the site, You can create custom pages and "spaces" for different departments. There are widgets that are used for custom actions. Many options for security permissions by group and user level. Overall a very customizable site for what they charge per user. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

There are limitations to how you can structure the site. The mobile app doesn't work very well. Often it will not open and you have to uninstall reinstall. The WIKI section is nice but the structure doesn't flow to well as a DIY search. The look of the site is old not current, but perhaps some of that is up to how much I know about web design. You are stuck with a couple basic layouts of the pages or frame. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

You will need some experience in HTML or perhaps working with programming if you want to run before you walk with the product. But you can start without. There are many help files. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use it mostly to keep users connected with current information and as a data source for standard operating procedure for a quick lookup. We also use it for group and company calendars for events and time off schedules. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Communifire allows team members to create and control their own space - a place to talk, post resources and develop ideas. It has many different tools to do this, allowing different styles to find one that works best for them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

it would be great to have switchable full online editability on files that are uploaded to a space while they are still posted in the space. That way a team can add ideas, possible wording, etc. in the same document, rather than downloading, locking someone else out, then uploading. This does not work well when team members are many time zones away. Makign it switchable could "lock in" a final resource, so others can't change it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Get all your people on board through anticipation. Don't sweat it that some will watch for a while. Encourage your leaders to communicate often through Communifire. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are reducing emails by having documents in one place rather than emailing everyone on a team every time a change is made. It also means people are not inadvertently working from an old version. We have also created a sharing page that has helped build stronger identity and relationships within a team that is in 17 countries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

The platform helps administrators feel as if they have the pulse of the community. Quick check-ins allow for activity levels to be monitored and outstanding issues to be addressed and resolved. Case tracking is great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Information can get buried if not organized well. More templates and examples of interface design would help make the user interface easier to navigate. Functionality has been an issue in the past, but Communifire has made great gains. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Communifire provides an online community that is dispersed, to feel connected. The benefits we have realized for the platform is that we can create and environment capable of meeting all the needs of the participating members. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

We use the product for internal sharing of items of value, having discussions, posting upcoming listings and opportunities for real estate related information, and celebrating each other's accomplishments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

There is no ability to upload an audio file, they do allow video, but we do audio recordings of our team meetings and it would be nice to host them there. Also, a lot of different options for interacting within Spaces sometimes makes it hard for employees to know where their post belongs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Its great to have a place we can share ideas, contacts, and items of value. A huge benefit is way less "reply all' emails that aren't relevant to everyone and those discussions can be had within the site for who needs to know. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Communifire is a fantastic intranet app. It is extremely flexible and robust. One of the more interesting aspects I appreciate is there are many different types of templates/content but, from the users' perspectives, the UI/UX is extremely similar. I think this uniform template format benefits users because they can quickly master all template types in a short period of time.

I also like how each space can be independently configured with a myriad of settings and options, allowing you to control what each user/group will see. I really like the user permission system too, allowing role-based rules for each content type within each space. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Initially, the concept and set up of "spaces" took some getting used to. The new user documentation is okay but it didn't prepare me well enough to optimize our intranet the first time around. I have a much better understanding of how best to utilize individual space settings versus the higher-level site admin settings after using it for several months. I would have really appreciated a walkthrough of the features and how to optimize Communifire for our users before we started creating our site. There are so many different settings and options that how-to documentation wasn't sufficient. It would have been a huge help if someone from Axero helped up plan the first couple spaces based on our specific needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I highly recommend Communifire. It's a great product. My biggest recommendation is to carefully read all of the documentation, ask lots of questions to their support, and (if possible) consult a long-time user of Communifire before setting up your intranet and spaces. I learned a lot as I was setting up the product and, if I had to do it over again, I'd definitely do it differently. This isn't a fault of the product... it's more of a result from the steep learning curve. Now that our users have been using the product for a while I'm hesitant to perform a major overhaul. The notion of a do-over is daunting to say the least. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use Comminifire for users submitting support tickets (cases) to our tech team, using the wiki as our users' knowledge base, and the blogs to alert users to pressing news. On top of those high-level needs, we created about a dozen spaces and use them to share information that applies only to those specific users. A big problem with our previous intranet was misinformation being disseminated by users who either misunderstood our communications or happened to read information that was totally irrelevant to their group. We were constantly chasing users who were spreading misinformation and rumors across multiple discussion threads. Communifire solved that problem.

We configured Communifire to utilize Cases as our support ticketing system. Keeping tickets in the same place as our knowledge base/wiki essentially offers one-stop-shopping for our users. The default path to create a support ticket forces users to at least peripherally glimpse at the news blog and wiki knowledge base. They might even find the answer to their problem before creating the support ticket. Moving tickets into Communifire also caused a several-fold increase in intranet logins and wiki page views. This alone was a huge improvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Easy to use platform for internal company communication. We use Communifire to expedite training on new products and share company information across multiple locations. The individual locations use the features like the task list and blog to stay in communication across multiple shifts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Would like to see a shared calendar across multiple spaces and more customization for the main feed. Spaces work well but I would like to see more options for cross communication between spaces. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Company communication and training have improved immensely with the implementation of Communifire. Team members can ask questions of the buying team and each other to solve customer problems quickly and efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Communifire was super easy to get up and running, and my team adopted it quickly which made the ROI on it higher. However, there is a deep set of features that can be leveraged as well once the basics are mastered. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

I wish the Tasks feature was more robust and had the ability to assign tasks to certain people via a pre-populated Task Template for recurring projects that are super similar. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

What do you like best?

It is fairly easy to customize and our users enjoy the social interaction aspects of the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

There are some limitations (for example font type and sizes). The search capabilities could be better. We have a few files that were improperly deleted but they still show up in the search results. All efforts to remove these files have been unsuccessful and it kind of drives our users crazy. Plus, search results in the preview window are narrowed by Spaces to which the users belongs. That then looks like limited results and users give up too quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Being able to custom brand was a must for me, the ability to custom code through easy to use CSS overrides is another plus. I like that Communifire is easy to use for both administrators and general users.

I like that Communifire isn't satisfied with the status quo, they upgrade regularly to keep pace with current technology and stay competitive. Their support team is, bar none, the best I've had the pleasure of working with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

I would like to see Page Builder permissions for more than just the Site Administrator. Page Builder pages allow for custom configurations and widgets for each and every space, very useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

To me the biggest consideration is always support. From day one to now, three years later, I've consistently had same day responses to my questions. The support team is fantastic and they are always adding materials to their knowledge base. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Streamlines communication, permits ease of collaboration, controls content efficiently and effectively. For example, I like that I'm able to imbed YouTube training videos into private spaces, it makes it easier for my users if they can find everything they need in one place. The amount of time I used to have to spend in email has been cut down by at least 75%, that alone makes the platform worthwhile! I like that I can turn of and on features depending on the needs of a particular space, I can even turn them off without losing data if I need to, when the feature is needed again, all the previous stored data is still there.
