**What do you like best about Collage HR?**

As the HR & Admin Coordinator at Nova Tech Hardware, I use Collage HR every single day for all our in-house HR and admin work. Before we got this tool, all our employee info, paperwork and leave records were all over the place—saved in random Excel files, personal emails and physical folders, which was really messy to manage. What I love most is that it puts everything HR-related in one single place. I can easily set up each employee’s full profile, store all their personnel documents, and keep their employment and leave history all in one spot. Onboarding new hires has gotten so much easier too. I can make simple task checklists, upload all the company forms and policy docs, and let new team members finish all their onboarding steps right inside the platform without printing piles of paperwork or going back and forth over email. Handling time-off requests and checking attendance is way less of a hassle now. Staff can submit their own leave requests anytime, and I can review and approve them quickly without sorting through dozens of emails. The layout is really straightforward and easy to get used to; I picked it up on my own right away with no training at all. It’s perfectly built for small teams like ours, cuts down so much repetitive busywork, and keeps all our HR work neat and organized.

**What do you dislike about Collage HR?**

There are a couple of things I wish were better. The biggest one is the reporting features are pretty basic. Every month I need to put together attendance summaries, track leave trends and check how many new hires finished their onboarding on time. The default reports are too generic, and I can’t customize filters or make my own dashboards to fit our team’s needs. I always have to export the raw data out and rearrange it manually in spreadsheets to get the detailed breakdowns our management asks for. I also wish it connected better with the regular tools we use daily. We rely on email and shared calendars all the time to schedule interviews and send onboarding reminders, but Collage HR doesn’t sync with them at all. I end up typing the same info twice in two different systems, which adds extra small tasks to my daily routine and sometimes causes little scheduling mix-ups.

**What problems is Collage HR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Collage HR, we had no proper HR system at all. All employee records, onboarding paperwork and leave tracking were done manually through spreadsheets and email. Important files would get lost, information was never fully up to date, and onboarding new people took way too much time with manual forms and constant follow-ups. Collage HR fixed all these everyday headaches. It keeps all employee data safely stored in one central place, so I never have to hunt through random files again. It makes onboarding structured and consistent, simplifies the whole leave approval process, and keeps attendance records accurate automatically. As a small hardware company without a big dedicated HR team, this tool saves me tons of admin time, keeps our workflows standardized, and makes managing staff records far more reliable and stress-free.

I use Collage HR to manage our core HR processes in Germany. I appreciate how it strikes a balance between simplicity and compliance, which is crucial for SMEs. The leave management feature is incredibly clear and intuitive, allowing employees to check balances and request time off while managers can approve them with just a click. This process maintains full audit trails to ensure alignment with German labor laws. I find the built-in e-signature and document management features invaluable as they keep everything in one secure, GDPR-compliant place, making onboarding fast and paperless. The initial setup was straightforward and quick, which I loved.

**What do you dislike about Collage HR?**

The reporting functions are still quite basic—we can’t create custom, detailed reports for absence trends or compliance documentation, and the export options are limited. We also need better native integration with DATEV, since that’s the standard payroll and accounting tool for German businesses; right now we have to use workarounds instead of smooth automatic syncing.

**What do you like best about Collage HR?**

I use Collage HR for digital employee lifecycle management, which is a huge time-saver for SMBs with limited HR resources. I love the 100% paperless workflows for onboarding to offboarding, with customizable digital checklists that new hires can complete themselves. The automation of access/tool setup for managers and streamlined exit checklists for departing employees are fantastic. I also appreciate the centralized, searchable digital archive for all employee data, which eliminates the need for physical file cabinets and spreadsheets. When it comes to payroll, the end-to-end processing is tailored to Canadian tax and labor rules, automating calculations and syncing seamlessly with time and leave tracking data. This native, Canadian-focused payroll and HR sync is probably the biggest draw for using Collage HR, as it doesn't require integrating separate payroll apps, removing the stress over CRA/provincial rules.

**What do you dislike about Collage HR?**

I don't like the limited user role customization in Collage HR. The permission tiers are too rigid, which forces HR admins to either retain too much control or give managers overly broad access. Bulk action limitations are also frustrating. Simple tasks, like updating benefit deductions for many employees or mass editing leave accrual rules, are clunky and require manual steps, adding unnecessary admin work each month. Slow load times for large employee databases are annoying, especially when working with reports across modules like payroll, leave, and benefits.

The navigation is very simple and the most used controls can be easily found such as time off requests
Besides the vacation calendar, the tool hots the onboarding and benefit documentation, making it one shop stop for all my administrative needs

Not much to dislike, but some areas of the application are just not robust enough.
Training and Performance sections need more work to be seriously considered.

Excellent for vacation time and benefits management.
It allows both employees and the management team to stay on top of administrative functions. Our business benefits from quick request turnaround and keeping up to date with mandatory training (safety, harassment and other)

**What do you like best about Collage HR?**

Collage is a simple platform for our employees to use to submit vacation requests and keep their information such as birthday, address, etc. up to date. No one has had trouble using it whatsoever.

As we have scaled our People/HR team Collage has become more and more important and is taking more of a leading role within that org.

**What do you dislike about Collage HR?**

The interface is very clunky for admins, it feels like they are still finding their footing. I usually have to attempt login twice before it actually loads the dashboard and a lot of great features are very hidden (such as shared calendars). They don't have a very straightforward "here is what most companies should do" type setup that I would expect from a light HR platform.

**Recommendations to others considering Collage HR:**

Give it a go but I would maybe make a list of your requirements ahead of time to make sure it has everything you want. The platform isn't great to discover features, you have to know what you're looking for.

**What problems is Collage HR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vacation tracking was the main one and collage has made vacation request/approval very straightforward. We also have a shared vacation calendar which makes it easier for us to run the business knowing who is off when. We needed a central repo of HR info such as addresses, and collage does the trick.

**What do you like best about Collage HR?**

It's quite simple to use and the customer service was excellent any time that I needed it. It was incredibly easy to get up and running and regular updates continue to make the software better. The interface is very user friendly.

**What do you dislike about Collage HR?**

It's still a relatively new product, so there are some features that were missing when I used it. When I used it, I thought that the training module could have been more comprehensive. It's possible that this has been updated and improved since then.

Collage made it so we could use only one program for nearly all of our needs. It's quite comprehensive so we were able to get rid of a couple different pieces of software and keep everything all in one place.

It is hard to say there is anything wrong with this software. I guess they could have more features related to managing people with multiple review statuses

The system is very intuitive and easy to use.
In addition, the program is not expensive and is constantly updated.
Collects and stores information about employees, the ability to sign documents electronically very useful in covida times.

The only downside I can see at the moment is the lack of a mobile application.

Tracking number of time off days remaining is easy to see. It is flexible enough to accommodate for all our different kinds of flex days, out of office days, work from home days, etc.
Requesting time off feature is easy.
Having access to documents provided by from HR (employment letter, employee policy) is easy to find and access at any point in time

**What do you dislike about Collage HR?**

There isn't a lot I don't like about Collage. It would be nice to have a mobile app (for iOS) which would make it a lot easier to request time off on the fly. One other issue I've had is my link to google login doesn't like to work.

**Recommendations to others considering Collage HR:**

If you are a small to medium sized business, Collage is great to use as an HR software. My understanding is Collage is cost efficient for smaller businesses and startups, which is always a perk to get ahead with having a system.

**What problems is Collage HR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We didn't used to have an HR system, so asking for information was always difficult. Since we implemented Collage, as an employee (user), it's definitely much easier to find information using a system, tracking vacation days, etc. Since our company is so flexible, we have a lot of flex days, work from home days, which is easy to track. Everyone's time off or work from home time is linked to our group PTO calendar, which makes it easy to plan for team workload when we can see when everyone is taking time off.

**What do you like best about Collage HR?**

I have only used it in onboarding, and when setting up my healthcare within the company, but so far so good! Everything is smooth, easily-accessible, and intuitive to use - moving through onboarding documents and HR processes is quick and easy.

**What do you dislike about Collage HR?**

So far so good! Nothing to dislike, although, my experience has been limited to my past six months with this organization.

**What problems is Collage HR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a remote worker, it facilitates HR forms-signing and onboarding processes in a situation where I will likely never meet 'head office' or most other staff in person. I am able to quickly and effectively access, read, and sign important internal documents with little hassle.

**What do you like best about Collage HR?**

It is very easy to use, its interface is very friendly because it has a very simple design is very easy to configure or customize, so the learning curve is minimal, even for inexperienced users. Regarding its functionality is great covers from the basic data of each employee, as information of interest, additionally has the option of "self-service" in which each registered individual can provide information, so we provide administrators or the human resources office a greater visualization of employee profiles.

It would be convenient to develop a financial integration where payroll can be generated so the platform would be more complete and we would have everything in a single system.

It is a very efficient tool that greatly facilitates the work activities of offices of human resources or talent, so I highly recommend it.

**What problems is Collage HR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a very comprehensive solution, we are looking for a tool where we manage to centralize all the information of our employees and we guarantee that it is updated because with the invitation that is sent to their email so that they opened their employee account provides them the opportunity to update or add additional information, with this tool we have reduced costs in paperwork because we forgot the old forms in physical now we have a very efficient online system, which is compatible with mobile devices and we can access that information from anywhere at any time, on the other hand because it allows integrations we have resolved to complement it with a backup generator for some contingency. We are anxious to complete the trial period to start with its formal implementation and currently we have only tested with 10% of the total general of our payroll.

**What do you like best about Collage HR?**

Easy, and beautiful interface, connection to all company knowledge. I found Collage to be exceedingly easy to navigate and straightforward. Love that it's a Canadian company (as I am located in Canada). I was just a user, not an administrator, but I did find the support to be great and robust. 

It's very easy as a user to manage and track your time off and benefits, and as a manager, really great to keep on-top of requests coming from your reports. I liked the notification system as well. 

**What do you dislike about Collage HR?**

Fairly new product with a limited amount of offerings. I found the overall reporting functionality not great.

A great addition would be to have the ability to pull a time-off/vacation report for on singular employee. It would be great if there was a way to see everything for time-off in a calendar view, and if the system could block multiple requests time off requests on the same day, too, that would help to manage time off and resources much better. 



**What problems is Collage HR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our small team of 22 needed an HRIS system after never having one in the past, so adoption of Collage has improved so many processes (including ones in areas we didn't even know we needed help, i.e. company document sharing around stock options and communications in general).

Helping our higher-level managers manage time off and vacation requests has simplified life for us all. I also love having all company and employee information in one place. Helpful and helps me not have to dig for information. One thing I would like to use more in the future is the ATS aspect.

Me and my colleagues use Collage services to enter personal data of employment, taking time-off, keep a track of vacations and holidays taken. It's amazing!

It doesn't update information quite quickly but it's pretty good in general!
