I also appreciate the overall visibility it provides, allowing anyone on the team to see what we're working on and where we're at. The setup seemed easy enough. **What do you dislike about Cognota?** Cognota has a lot of data, and while the Insights and flexible Dashboards are good, they're lacking on being able to apply governance on the data (e.g, any projects or tasks past due date?) and to tell a story for our stakeholders. The team capacity is a bit cumbersome to use due to historical projects appearing per assignee, regardless of project status (e.g. don't show it if it's cancelled, or completed) and timeline. Lastly, the way effort is spread out across assignees and time frames (and how the estimated still takes up capacity even if the actual effort is updated). **What problems is Cognota solving and how is that benefiting you?** Cognota consolidates our work and workflows, replaces scattered spreadsheets, and offers a unified data source. It enhances efficiency and transparency by showing status, timelines, and resources at a glance, simplifying reporting and improving team coordination. ### 2. The dashboards are easy to read, and you can create executive reporting from them. I also appreciate all the features and capabilities that allow me to provide ROI on programs and projects, as well as align with the business goals from a strategic standpoint. The ability to monitor and track all initiatives tied to the business is valuable. Additionally, the dashboards are a big help because I don't have to search for information. They include filters and options to custom-make dashboards, which is very helpful. The transition to Cognota was seamless, making everything easy compared to Microsoft Planner. The implementation team was easy to work with, making the setup process very easy and a great practice. **What do you dislike about Cognota?** Nothing at this time, other than maybe the features of Gantt charts aren't there. Subtasks are really big, and we don't have either of those. **What problems is Cognota solving and how is that benefiting you?** Cognota streamlines our intake process, letting us monitor and track corporate initiatives and business-as-usual projects effectively. ### 3. The ability to streamline our learning request intake from stakeholders is a game-changer. Then, being able to convert that request into a project that can be managed using the L&D project flow really reduces project management time and provides quick, easy visibility into a project's health. **What do you dislike about Cognota?** If you over-rely on technology, you can miss out on beneficial relationship-building with stakeholders and seem transactional. **What problems is Cognota solving and how is that benefiting you?** Cognota is allowing my newly formed L&D team to monitor and track capacity hours. This ensures we are not overworking the team and saying yes to the right projects. ### 4. It's intuitive and navigation is easy to follow. Our internal clients have visibility of the training requests they submit, which is really beneficial. I also never heard the team say the setup was difficult, so that's a plus. I rated it a 10 on a scale from 1 to 10 for recommending it to a friend or colleague. **What do you dislike about Cognota?** I find it challenging to clean up requests that didn't move forward. Particularly those that shouldn't have been submitted as training requests because they should be handled by a different department. Also, it's not integrated with any of our other systems. **What problems is Cognota solving and how is that benefiting you?** Cognota records and tracks our projects efficiently. It's intuitive, easy to navigate, and gives our internal clients visibility of training requests. ### 5. They are also constantly updating and making meaningful updates. **What do you dislike about Cognota?** My least favorite thing would be not being able to set a preference for sorting my project list. It always has a default and I need to sort by launch date every time I go to the project list **What problems is Cognota solving and how is that benefiting you?** There was no effective intake/L&D project process here. Cognota has given me an intake process and a better way to track project status ### 6. The end product is exactly what we need! **What do you dislike about Cognota?** The downside to using Cognota is your become completely reliant on this product! The only downside that I have experienced is that there are some glitches on the exams when the design is scormed and added into an LMS. **What problems is Cognota solving and how is that benefiting you?** Cognota allows us to provide materials to a large enterprise. The platform allows us to update the materials with the click of a button, ensuring that we have up to date information across the board. It also eliminates the need for paperwork. ### 7. It doesn't try to reinvent the wheel. It uses the best methods available to get your L&D on track as efficiently as possible. This is especially useful for any L&D team that hasn't previously utilized a platform for things like utilization metrics and organizing process flows. **What do you dislike about Cognota?** The tools available for exporting and importing data have been somewhat limited, and there can be some parts of the platform that are not quite as intuitive as I think they could be. That said, the Cognota team has been highly responsive to our needs to help better their platform. **What problems is Cognota solving and how is that benefiting you?** As a smaller L&D organization, we don't have the bandwidth and resources to develop and manage highly complex operational platforms. Cognota simplifies the process and allows for rapid implementation while still being robust in its capabilities for reporting on things like project process and work hour utilization. ### 9. I like the ability to track the actual hours spent on a task and not just the projected hours. **What do you dislike about Cognota?** I still think the Insights display needs work. It cuts off definitions and doesn't show a rollup of hours spent on completed tasks. I've provided this information to Cognota and they are looking at making the changes. **What problems is Cognota solving and how is that benefiting you?** They are helping us create a training and knowledge culture by giving my company a place to request training and my team a way to track those requests and projects to completion. ### 10.
