## About ClusterLion
ClusterLion is a high availability solution that prevents expensive downtime due to system outages, which is available for SAP and MetroCluster. Thanks to ClusterLion, you don’t need any complex clusters, shared storage, and other sophisticated infrastructure, ensuring business continuity and reducing costs. If the solution detects a failure that requires a takeover, ClusterLion for SAP shuts down the hosts or services on the primary side first, to ensure data consistency. After that, the takeover process begins – completely automated. The HANA database is taken over to the secondary site, then the central instances of the application server are switched over. Virtual IP addresses are switched over & clients stay connected. ClusterLion guarantees maximum security, as no data is transferred, only status information. An included web dashboard displays the current status as well as historical event logs and gives quick and detailed insights in case of failure. For MetroCluster, ClusterLion offers a hardware solution with the same goal of preventing downtime.
